Alicia looked around the main room. She was getting more special clients, which suited her just fine, but she still liked to spend time in the main room. The one thing in her life that wasn't going so well was Saundra. As Alicia got more popular, Saundra became more jealous. The fact that Alicia wasn't stealing any of Saundra's clients, but rather bringing in new ones, didn't matter. Saundra didn't like not being the only specialty girl there. Worse, the other girls, who had never liked Saundra all that much anyway, liked her even less as she got more bitchy with Alicia. Alicia hadn't liked Saundra on sight and it was clear by now that many of the other woman felt the same way. Still, Alicia tried not to let it get to her, and for the most part, it didn't.
"Are you sure you want a little girl instead of a real woman?" purred Saundra.
She was all decked out in a tight, thin dress that left very little to the imagination. Alicia's face heated as the man she'd been talking to also got embarrassed. It was clear he wanted the 'teen' experience, as Alicia had come to think of it, but like so many others, he was enculturated enough by the country's moral hypocrisy that he didn't want to admit it.
Saundra didn't make him answer the question, she just hooked her arm in his and led the man away. It was clear that wasn't what he wanted, but it was equally clear he was too embarrassed by the situation to pull away from Saundra. Alicia was starting to get annoyed -- this was the third client she'd stolen in two days. Saundra glanced over her shoulder and gave Alicia a vicious smirk.
"You gonna let her get away with that?" asked Donna.
"What am I supposed to do?" asked Alicia. "We're supposed to make the clients comfortable, and he was uncomfortable enough with me as it was."
"But it was you he wanted," replied Donna.
Alicia just shrugged.
The girls occasionally would compete for a client. Some of the men enjoyed that kind of thing, and it was usually done all in good fun. While a client might not realize how nasty Saundra was being, the other girls did, and were started to get pissed on Alicia's behalf. The other girls weren't the only one noticing though. Kendra had also seen what had happened.
"She's really causing problems, Jenna," said Kendra later that afternoon. "Alicia is fine with a little banter, but the things Saundra is saying are really shitty. And she's making the customers uncomfortable."
"Since when did Saundra start working the floor again?" asked Jenna.
Saundra usually did specialty clients two to three times a week. She'd stopped working the floor months ago since the money she was made was more than good enough. In fact, her attitude towards the girls who only worked the floor was getting to be a problem. This thing with Alicia couldn't be allowed to continue.
"Once she saw how popular Alicia was."
"Tell her I want to see her," said Jenna.
Kendra nodded and left. She would like to have stayed, but Jenna never discussed problems with anyone other than the people involved.
Saundra was down on the floor and even as Kendra watched, was starting to walk over to where Alicia was sitting with a clean cut, gawky-looking young guy. She got to Saundra before Saundra got to Alicia.
"You're needed upstairs," said Kendra quietly.
"What?" asked Saundra, clearly annoyed by being interrupted.
"Jenna wants to speak with you," said Kendra.
"I'm still on shift," said Saundra.
"Now."
Clearly pissed, Saundra shot Alicia an evil look then left. Fortunately, Alicia didn't see it.
"Saundra," said Jenna after having the other woman sit down, "I hear you're working the floor again. Money problems?"
Saundra shrugged.
"No," she said. "Just wanted a little variety."
"I thought you didn't like the floor," replied Jenna, folding her hands on her desk. She looked calm, but she was more than a little pissed.
"Like I said," Saundra, tossing her hair, "I wanted to have a little fun."
"I see," said Jenna. "Should I tell our specialty clients that you're leaving the trade then?"
"What?" asked Saundra, sitting up. "No! Why would I do that?"
"Because you seem to be putting a lot of effort into getting vanilla johns," said Jenna. "A lot more effort than you used to."
Saundra rolled her eyes.
"Is this because I stole one of Alicia's johns?" she asked. "Please -- that kind of shit happens all the time."
"I know you girls like to play around like that," smiled Jenna. It wasn't a friendly smile though. "But there's a limit. I hear you're making the customers uncomfortable."
"Have there been any complaints?" asked Saundra.
"No," replied Jenna. "But it has been noticed, and it will stop as of right now."
"Has that little bitch been whining that I'm stealing her men?" asked Saundra. "She sleeps with twice as many guys as the rest of us, so I don't know why she's bitching. I'm not doing anything wrong."
"Alicia hasn't said a word," said Jenna. "But this conversation is over. You will not keep trying to take away her clients."
"This is bullshit Jenna," said Saundra. "I'm not doing anything wrong."
Jenna was silent for a moment.
"You have a good thing going here Saundra," she said. "Don't fuck it up. Now I have work to do."
Fuming, Saundra got up and flounced out of the room. Jenna didn't want to do it, but if she kept this shit up, Saundra was going to get fired.
"The request is very unusual," said Jenna. "Do you think you can handle it?"
Alicia smiled.
"Sure," she said. "It sounds like fun. When do they wanna do it?"
"Friday, starting at around five," replied Jenna. "Marci has already looked over what they want and thinks you'll do just fine."
"Cool!" she said. "Is there any special clothing I need to wear? Any prep?"
Jenna handed her a sheet with the client requests written out. It was a simple theme, but any girl who accepted the job was going to be seriously humiliated -- and probably end up exhausted and a bit marked up. None of that appeared to be a problem for Alicia, and from what Jenna had heard, the marks never lasted very long anyway.
"Oh yeah, I can do this," she said, scanning it. "I might need to do a little shopping first, but I think I have most of it. Which room will we be in?"
"They'll be using a suite," said Jenna, "and you'll meet with them an hour or so before they start to go over things and answer any questions."
"Okay," said the girl, a faraway look in her eye. She was apparently running through the scene in her head. She'd swear the heat in the room had just risen ten degrees. "Was there anything else?"

"Shit," said Pam, "I thought you were going downstairs to get some beer."

Now all three of them were on their feet, but Alicia was still struggling to breathe, grabbing at her sister's arm.
