His laughter boomed out into the brisk breezes of the early morning.

It wasn't the laugh of someone who had heard a jest they found amusing. It was a peal of triumph.

He wasn't taking the news like I thought he would. I expected confusion, then comprehension. I expected to strike during that hesitation.

This was supposed to be my chance I tried to twist vigorously against the grip he had on my throat ... but I couldn't move. My legs swung uselessly in the air. I wanted to scream, but I didn't have enough air in my lungs to make a sound. Slowly his laughter died out and the clearing once again grew silent.

The breeze rumpled my red hair, and blew it into my eyes. I trembled slightly, suddenly cold. Being under this demon's control made me feel small ... powerless.

I looked down at his feet.

With my limited air I managed to whisper, "What's ... so funny?"

He chuckled again. With his free hand he placed a finger under my chin, and tilted my head up.

I gazed into his unholy eyes.

They were red. The color of blood ... the color of sin.

But that wasn't surprising, he was a creature born of sin to live in sin.

His cloak rustled gently in the dying airs of the early morning.

I tried to steel myself ... no matter how much he might wish to ... I still didn't think he would kill me if it would upset his precious Maria.

Devnikolus released my throat, and I tumbled to the ground.

The grass felt cool and was wet with dew. I just wanted to lay there ... for a while ... and forget about this foolish quest.

Devnikolus' melodious voice came from somewhere above my head. "That spell will keep you limp for quite some time little Angel ... long enough for me to explain why you should never have come here this night."

I moaned lightly on the ground.

"There there Cariel," he said mockingly. "All is not lost. You were correct about one assumption; I will not kill you ... even though you richly deserve it."

Devnikolus looked even more imposing from my place on the ground. His beautiful face and terrible red eyes were all I could focus on.

The demon waved a hand lazily across the air. Red light illuminated the nighttime darkness. I watched incredulously as a table and stiff backed aristocratic lawn chairs sparkled into existence.

He bent down, and reached under my armpits. He scooped me up gently, and deposited me on garden chair. I tried to order my body to lunge at him ... I had a knife hidden in my tunic ... he thought himself safe. If I could overcome his paralysis spell I could kill him ... I could win.

But my body was deaf to my commands.

All I could do was sit listlessly in the demon made chair.

I glanced over to the tiny inn. From its windows I saw the faint orange glow of a fire. Maria was in there. So close, and yet so far away. I could see the knight without a soul leaning against the door frame, his hand was on the pommel of his sword. He needn't have bothered. I was bested.

I wondered if I had ever stood a chance against this monster.

The demon prince sat down gracefully in his own chair. We stared at each other from across the tea table he had constructed. With a flick of his wrist red sparks once again glowed against the night's darkness. A white candles nestled in a black candelabra appeared. With a click of his fingers the wicks flared into life.

"This is all very dramatic don't you think?" I said sarcastically.

He paused, and considered me. No doubt he took in my ruffled red hair and grass stained tunic. My wards were designed to protect me from Dark magic. Not a tumble in a field.

"I thought you were her mother," he said suddenly.

I choked, "What?" I said.

He laughed. "Your relation to Maria," he explained, "I thought you would be her mother, not her sister."

I could feel something snap inside of me. If I had control of my body I would have slumped in my chair. "But you knew I was related to her?"

Devnikolus grinned, "It was the only conclusion that made sense," he said.

I raised an eyebrow, part of me had despaired ... the other half was curious.

He tapped the table impatiently, as if I was missing something unbearably obvious. "Out of all the Angels in heaven, you seemed the most interested in Maria's little predicament. You confronted her outside my cave. You should have taken her away then ... but I don't think your plans were thorough enough ... at that time you were probably just following orders."

I winced. That time outside the cave had been hard for me. My commander had ordered me to check on her, and make sure she wasn't ignorant ... but he gave me strict orders about taking her away.

I had cast an emotional block on myself for that meeting.

I told Maria about her heritage with perfect serenity ... I told her she had to be a slave.

I cried until it hurt when the spell wore off.

Tears began to pool in the bottom of my eyes. I hurriedly tried to blink them away. I refused to let Devnikolus see me cry.

The demon leaned forward, and extended a finger. He lightly brushed a tear from my cheek. I tried to flinch away ... but my arms fell to my sides. I choked back a sob. All my scheming undone ... this fight was a bad idea. I should have convinced Michael to let me have a Legionnaire or two.

Devnikolus settled back into his chair.

He looked at me curiously. He popped his tear stained finger into his mouth.

I closed my eyes.

"Look at me Cariel," he said harshly.

I shook my head slightly.

He sighed, "Stubborn Angel."

He talked down to me now ... but I could feel something wonderful happening.

I could feel my limbs loosening. The spell was losing power. If I could pretend to be immobilized, perhaps I could surprise him. The knife in my tunic was a comfortable weight.

Soon ... I thought to myself

-Devnik- The flame haired Angel was crying.

It had been a long time since I had my prey so neatly trapped as this. I was like a cat with its paw on a rat's tail. The chase was already over ... now it was time for that glorious in between time. The magnificent limbo that separates the battle of wills from the damning blow.

I was enjoying laying bear her pitiful scheming.

My immobilization spell was strong enough to last well into the dawn ... and by then I will have completed my task.

Still, I could not help but torment her.

I spoke again ... to once more rub salt in her wounds.

"When you came calling upon her a second time I imagine you were prepared. You had found a way to wrest control of her away from me? Perhaps by enlisting the help of a Greater Angel?"

Cariel closed her eyes and tilted her head down. Her hands flexed slightly.

She shouldn't be able to move that much...

Cariel cleared her throat, "Michael agreed to transfer the binding spell to Viriel."

I nodded. I hadn't known such a spell was transferable ... but the Aethling binding magic had started with Michael ... hence I imagine he knew its intricacies.

I watch the flame haired Angel closely for movement. Her pointer finger twitched again. Perhaps she was not as weak as I thought ... if my immobilization spell could not hold her for even such a paltry amount of time.

The candles flickered in the wind.

Cariel watched my face ... wondering perhaps if Michael's name meant something to me.

"Ah yes," I said smoothly. "High Lord Michael the Valiant, Archangel of the Center Sphere."

Cariel nodded impertinently, her silver eyes glimmering with hatred, "I take it you know of him?" she said scathingly.

I shrugged, "Only by reputation."

She smiled, "Then you know what kind of ire you provoke by refusing me my sister."

She looked so delicious sitting there, her red hair waving in the wind ... her silver eyes radiating hatred. The moonlight was kind to her skin ... its milky light set her face alight with gentle ivory tones.

I licked my lips before I could stop myself. I had grown to enjoy Angelic blood ... and I wondered what hers would taste like.

Cariel leaned forward slightly, another movement that my magic should have denied her.

"Give me my sister and I promise Michael will not harm you. Find some human to torture. Respect the Light as a worthy adversary, and vent your perverse desires elsewhere."

I couldn't help it ... laughter welled up in my chest, and spilled over.

An owl hooted indignantly at the noise and fluttered away from his perch ... in search of quieter tree tops.

"You must take me for a fool little Angel," I said between breaths. "You've come alone three times now. If Michael was going to come and help you fight personally ... he'd be here right now. If he thought this little quest was important enough, he would have sent Legionnaires with you."

Cariel sunk lower and lower into her chair. The bluff that had sparkled brightly in her eyes waned. I watched her fingers flex again. They trailed lightly over a slight bulge in her tunic.

I continued on mercilessly, "Not even Viriel, whom I hear was her original intended stands by you."

"At least he came through with the water," Cariel muttered, almost inaudibly.

I reached into my cloak pocket, and fingered the neck band. Jon coughed in the cold air. He still stood on the inn's threshold, ready to defend me should she get the better of me, or run with Maria should things become unsalvageable.

"Yes, Cariel..." I said softly, "Viriel was useful enough to trap me here with an underhanded trick ... but then he had to fly away to an assignment ... did he not?"

Cariel didn't answer. She continued to finger the bulge in her tunic. She was being careful not to move too much ... but any movement at all meant my spell no longer held her. The only reason she would remain seated ... would be to try and surprise me.

"In fact, I would wager that you are here between assignments yourself."

Cariel's mouth turned down into a snarl.

I found myself repressing my laughter again.

A silence descended upon us.

Jon audibly cleared his throat at his post on the inn's door. I glanced at him. In all actuality I would have preferred never having to have this confrontation ... despite how amusing talking with the red haired Angel was. A question emerged upon my mind...

"Cariel ... despite your current state of failure ... I do have some respect for you. You managed to track my movements ... right from the very beginning. I would like to ask you how."

"The imp," she said sullenly.

"The imp?" I repeated questionably.

Cariel nodded slightly ... then caught herself.

"Yes," she replied. "I was watching the cave after I talked with Maria. When you set that disgusting imp with the claws and the baby's body out I tracked it's movements ... and caught him."

My mind slowly made connections ... Turkik ... my bondservant. I had forgotten all about him ... I had sent him out to discover if Maria had been asked to spy on me.

Cariel leered at me for a brief moment. "I bested him and absorbed his knowledge of you. Imagine my delight when I discovered he had a summon spell placed on him."

I cringed slightly. A summon was a specific kind of spell. It allowed me to call whatever creature was possessed by the spell to my side magically at any time. But it created a link ... like a string attached from one person to another. It would be so easy to follow that link.

I looked upon the flame hair woman differently. She had proven time and time again her intelligence and her cunning.

She was employing her trickery even now. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that my paralysis spell had degraded completely ... her complacency was an act ... to catch me off guard.

It was another trap ... one that she would spring soon.

It wouldn't be much longer now.

She would try and surprise me with the weapon concealed in her tunic.

I would be ready.

-Maria- My frustration was mounting.

Seithi rei Seithi rei SEITHI REI Nothing ... the darkness spanned around me ... like a gaping chasm where forgotten things lived. I needed to see my Master ... I needed to see if he was alright.

Maybe the Angel had lied ... despite the fact that it should have been impossible. I gripped the chains around my wrists. Master loved me enough to chain me down ... I loved him enough not to let that stop me.

I was a member of the Light ... I had magic within me. I just had to find it.

Seithi rei Seithi rei Seithi rei ... I felt a tingle on the back of my neck. One lone blue spark briefly illuminated the all encompassing Darkness.

I focused on that spark. I had made that happen. Now I had to do it again. I turned my mind inward upon itself ... searching for more sparks ... more magic.

My consciousness bounced against a wall, deep inside my head. It was a weird sensation ... similar to attempting to recall a particularly elusive memory. I knew the power that I needed was just beyond this mental barrier ... but I couldn't pass ... I couldn't pass.

But I had to.

I gripped Master's chains even tighter, and threw myself utterly against the obstruction. Tears sprung to my eyes as I was repelled.

Again, I thought to myself.

Once more, I threw my being at the wall inside my mind. It caved slightly ... blue sparks jumped up against the darkness.

Once more Magic burst through the wall with the force of and intensity of thunder. Blue light poured into my consciousness. My fingers crackled with energy ... I felt more alive than I ever had before.

Cariel's words defined themselves in my head.

FREE ME! I shouted in the language of Angels.

The sparks around me seemed only too happy to oblige. Power rushed out of me with a woosh ... and went to work on my bindings. When the blue sparks touched the black manacles, a red light briefly flared.

I could sense how finely crafted they were. I could sense the magic and the intent that had willed them into being. They were so fine ... so delicate ... it was such a shame to destroy them.

A few half hearted red sparks jumped ... but they were quickly washed away by the sea of blue at my command.

With a sharp crack, the manacles dissipated, and turned to smoke.

I shifted my attention to my leg restraints, again taking the time to savor the craftsmanship of my Master. However, these too snapped easily under the onslaught of my previously untapped magic.

Celestial Wars Ch 02

Here we are again. This story is the direct sequel to ‘Celestial Wars Ch. 01’ and should not be read without reading that first. This is the second of three parts. Middles are curious things. Middles are written to bring the reader from an interesting beginning, to an exciting ending. This means middles are often overlooked, even though they make up the bones of a story. Unfortunately, this story is all middle. In lieu of some emails that I continue to receive, I feel obligated to warn you...

Celestial Awakenings

Celestial Awakenings By Julie O Edited By Amelia R. Chapter 1 Celeste Farnsworth was reading the morning paper when Dr. Nancy Chen joined her for breakfast in the dining room of her Southampton estate. A short, middle-aged woman with raven hair brought in a fresh pot of coffee. "Good morning, Celeste," greeted Nancy, as she sat down next to the pretty young woman with auburn hair. "Good morning. Looks like you were up late again," commented Celeste. "Thank you, Ina." The...

Celestial MattersSin or Suicide

-Daniel Fleeting- (1097 AD. Somewhere outside Jerusalem) The battlefield was decided. It was a great dusty plain, with mountains to the far west, and Jerusalem straight ahead barley visible in the distance. I could see the banners of the Seljuk Turks standing their ground a mile ahead of our regiment. I grasped my holy weapon tighter. I paid no mind to the mortal foes that made up the enemy rank. I kept my eyes moving constantly, searching for the demon. Father Fredrick said I'd know...

A demon doesn't sleep the way a human does. We share similar qualities ... for example we both have no awareness of our surroundings while we slumber ... which is why both humans and demons choose a place they feel secure before laying down to rest. But a demon always knows what time of day it is. We can sense the sun ... we always know where it rests in the sky. That is how I knew night was approaching ... and I was impatient. Celestial MattersThe Comforting Chains

I knew Devnik wasn't beside me. It was a strange sensation, knowing something without knowing how. I sleepily remembered Devnik had departed with Jon ... I wondered what was going on between those two. How can a demon and a human interact with each other like that? I was briefly embarrassed that Jon had seen me naked. I hardly knew the man ... just that he was a human ... but not quite the same as other humans ... I chuckled to myself. It was strange to think of humans as a different...

Don't fret my sweet. Endings don't last forever... -Forgotten Lovers -Alarial- It wasn't painful. Not like I expected it would be. When Jon and Cariel had talked about Hell's 'call' I had imagined an uncomfortable and irresistible pull. But there was none of that. It felt more like a question than a pull. Celestial Review

March 18 You probably can't believe I'm still writing this. The truth is, I can hardly believe it myself. I certainly thought long and hard about it, but finally decided that since the whole thing's all out in the open anyway that there wasn't much reason to stop writing about it. And you might find this hard to fathom but I feel like I have a certain kind of relationship with you; a relationship that I want to honor. You might wonder at my sanity, but there you have it. It certainly was...

Celestial MattersUnusual Thirsts

I was getting impatient. I was only pretending to read the book in my hands. My eyes had been glancing over the same page for nearly an hour now. It had been two days since I sent Turkik out to identify my angelic caller, and so far he had not returned. The two days of his absence had sent into an uneasy pattern. Every evening I would arise at about nine, to which I would be greeted by a shy 'hello, ' from Maria. I didn't know if she simply slept the daylight away like I did, or if she...

Celestial MattersThe Demons Chamber

-Devnik- A chilled wind swept through the country side. "Your home is so ... beautiful..." she marveled, her gaze still fixated on the chateau. I moved to stand behind her. I wrapped my arms around her clasping them just under her breasts. I put my chin on her soft shoulder. I whispered directly in her ear, "I'm glad you approve Maria." She shivered. I could see goose bumps appear on her neck, but that could have been from the cold... She was still so nonplussed with my house that...

Celestial MattersPleasurable Torture

(France 1623, Chateau) -Devnik- She was here. I could sense her. At the top of the spiral stairs, standing in what must be total darkness, was Maria. It felt strange to have her in this room. It somehow felt very personal, as if I were sharing an embarrassing secret. My chambers were furnished exactly like the cave was. But here, in this house, the furniture was original, and not the product of unholy trickery. The only light of the room was from the marble fireplace. It was identical...

Celestial MattersCruelty

-Maria- I felt hollowed out. As if someone had reached into me and pulled out all my insides. My muscles were too sore to even think about, let alone move. I could feel the soft silk sheets under me, and the satin pillow that I rested my head on. I cracked my eyes open. The fire had gone out, but the room wasn't cold. Devnik wasn't here. That made me sad. I shook my head violently, trying to clear the unwanted demon from my mind. The shaking reminded me of how sore I was. I...

Celestial MattersWe Must Be Away

-Devnik- Maria was breathing heavily. I could see the outline of her breasts slowly rise and fall from underneath the sheet she had draped across her shoulders. Her face was flushed ... and she was staring at me hungrily. My little half-angel was aroused. We both listened to Jon's boots echo off the stone walls as he walked up the spiral staircase. The door shut at the top of the stairs ... and we were alone. I repeated my questions, "What is your desire my sweet?" She smiled softly...

Celestial MattersOn the Run

-Maria- It felt like I was going on an adventure. The old timber of the carriage creaked as it rolled. I could hear the clips and clops of horse hooves against the worn cobbled path. I was leaving France. Never in my wildest dreams had I ever imagined living anywhere but Paris. Never had I imagined being anything but a prostitute. Now I was headed for Ireland in clothes fit for a baroness with a man I called Master ... and lover. Despite the insulation of the carriage, the cold air...

Celestial MattersImmortal Intended

-Maria- The still of the early evening settled upon the little inn. A cool morning had given way to a scorching afternoon. Jon had carried in the results of his labors chopping wood, and Boyce, the owner of the inn had practically fallen over himself with gratitude. Boyce was an old man who didn't have the strength for cutting firewood anymore. When the inn ran out, Brie would have to go out and do the best she could. As a show of thanks Boyce insisted that we sit in the common room and...

Celestial MattersOne Family

-Maria- My body was singing. My arms were too heavy to move and my legs felt like they were made of jam ... but that didn't matter. I had never been so content in my life. My pussy was throbbing, and I could tell that I was still soaking down there. The fire crackled gently, and the smell of wood, smoke and sex laced the air with a heady and wonderful aroma. Not even my awkward positioning over the side of the chair could dampen my bounding joy. I gazed up at my Master. His long black...

Celestial WarsChapter 2

~The Bra'rul are sharp and fierce. They appear as beautiful men or woman with long dark talons and black feathered wings. There greatest strength is their speed and ferocity, which is unmatched by any other demon to walk the plains of Hell. Best disposed of at a distance- The Hunter's Manifesto -Cariel- I felt his arms slither around me. My body shivered, and tensed immediately. A sense of wrongness and panic encroached on the edges of my mind. I had never been this close to a member...

Celestial WarsChapter 3

The Meeting ~Humans do not naturally posses magic. A child of dust and mud can only achieve power through four ways. They may pledge themselves to either the Light or the Dark, and be rewarded with a sliver of their power. They may channel the inherent magic of the Earth. The fourth way is to steal it. These thieves are called The Afflicted and they are abominations- The lecture Notes of Father Fredrick~ -Daniel Fleeting- I knew it the moment it happened. One moment I was riding into the...

Celestial WarsChapter 4 Black Flames

The Royalty of the Dark were once Angels. Betrayal sent them to Hell, but it was Hell that corrupted them. They are the original Fallen. Other Angels have been corrupted by Hell since, but none can compare to the Original Ten. They are to be scorned. They are to be pitied.-A scrap of Parchment that burned at Alexandria Devnik I had almost forgotten. Strange really ... how I could have almost forgotten. Celestial WarsChapter 5 Conflict

~I heard the buzzing. The Flies were everywhere. Fresh corpses were stripped to the bone in seconds ... and in the middle, Beelzebub sat, devouring the flesh of fallen. – Survivor of the Pyrrhic war.~ Daniel Fleeting This wasn't part of the plan. I had been distracted for a moment. This woman with jet black hair and forest green eyes had reminded me of a past love ... and I had dropped my guard. Had I been aware I would have realized that no woman living in the forest has a teacup...

Celestial WarsChapter 6 Taming

Humans are both Light and Dark. We are capable of the most selfless compassions, and the most delicious sins. A life without both is an empty hollow thing. – Unknown Devnik Maria's face smiled sadly at me as the dream fell apart. Her image faded and broke like the reflection of a shattering mirror. She said she was coming back to me. That thought alone prevented my mind from despairing. I could feel a stirring underneath one of my arms. Consciousness drifted lazily back into my mind...

Celestial WarsChapter 8

No Return Only HE can force an Angel to enter Hell. Once a being of the Light has walked within the Halls of the Damned, there is no saving them. The Dark always keeps those who embrace it. -Devnik- Her breath went out slowly ... and with it came a whisper. "So good..." The words were soft and muffled ... and they were lead-heavy and full of a woman's emotions. The sound of it was utterly foreign to me. I didn't understand it ... not even a sliver. I drew her closer and softly...

Celestial WarsChapter 9

Butler at Sea Leviathan is the Demon Prince of Wrath, Deep Dwellers, and Violent Waters. His moods are mercurial and ever shifting. He has never set foot on the dry lands of Earth. Jonathan the Courageous The boat shifted slightly as we shoved off. Timber and board creaked delightfully as the waters of the channel caressed the hull. I smiled and sighed. Boats are wonderful things. Five hundred years of living, and a strong ship and sea breeze still made me grin like a fool. But, I was a...

Celestial WarsChapter 11

Rain and Flame ~Humans live two lives. First, they live out their mortal years, and those determine if they shall fall unto Hell, or ascend unto Heaven. Second, they live as a soul of either Light or Dark. When the soul dies ... it vanishes unto Nothing. The Third Lesson of the Magician's Guild. -Devnik- Clouds rolled in across the night sky ... quick and low and determined. Celestial WarsChapter 15 Black Deeds

"Love is not righteous. Only a fool who has never felt love's bitter edges would claim otherwise. Love is greedy, love is dark, and love is jealous. But this is why we desire love above all else. It is like a mania. Our thoughts become clouded, but our blood thrums with life." -Attributed to Lilith, Princess of Lust and Blood Devnik I could feel the daylight shield rippling like gauze around me. My skin tingled. It felt like a thin layer of frost had settled softly against me. I...

Size matters

Does size matter? I used to say it didn't, but in some circumstances it now does. I'm constantly being asked this question, both by random quickie hookups and from my couple of long term bitchholes, both of which love my biggest of strapons. Is it their size obsession with what goes in their slutholes that fascinates them with what I want in me? Maybe, but even before I was the man in one of these relationships, he was always worried I wanted more than he offered, despite my joy of his larger...

Private Matters

Private Matters by Gingerfred Man Chapter One ? Recruited Adults are often puzzled why teenagers are so surly and miserable. Fathers in particular look at their sons and say, "You?re so lucky to be young." What they?re thinking is, "You?re so lucky to be slim, have a hard cock with a quick reload, and be around all that pretty young pussy for you to boff." My dad was right about the slimness and hard cock, but the pussy didn?t seem to be yearning for my boffing. My name is...

Altered Fates Family Matters

Altered Fates: Family Matters by Bashful bashful47"hotmail.com Jerry Fields was "baching" it tonight. His wife of 5 years was visiting her father for the next couple of days. Elizabeth's father, Harold Bigelow, was Jerry's boss. He owned the manufacturing plant that Jerry managed where they manufactured a variety of household cleaning products such as brooms and mops. Not very exciting but a solid, steady business. Jerry was very young to hold such a lofty position. He had...

All That Matters

All That Matters By Cal Y. Pygia Thick and rigid, Jason's cock stood uptight against his belly. The sight of the smooth, firm-soft cheeks of her Violet's bare ass always excited him; he found her round, compact ass delightful. It was her best feature and, considering the rest of her, that was quite a compliment. Jason enjoyed massaging it. He'd spent the last half hour doing just that, making small circles over the sleek, lovely mounds with his palm and savoring the feel of...

Size Matters

Size Matters By Cal Y. Pygia I like to shock people. If I had the talent, I'd be a horror writer or a director of horror movies, and I'd go for the jugular every time. But I'm not particularly talented. I can't write. I can't direct. I can't sculpt or paint. I can't act or sing or dance. When it comes to talent, I'm severely handicapped. God's gifts to me are of another kind. I am beautiful. Gorgeous, really. I say this with all humility, for it is God's gift to me; I did...

Family Matters

Family Mattersby Miss AnonnaIt was a cold, dreary, miserable day but nonetheless I needed to get to work and finish some things before the weekend came along. When I got to work there were very few people in so I sat down at the computer to check my appointments. I had one mid morning full body massage to cover and the rest of the day was free. After the massage, I closed out my computer and headed home. It had been a long time since I had been home early and it was quite nice to enter an...
