The Meeting

~Humans do not naturally posses magic. A child of dust and mud can only achieve power through four ways. They may pledge themselves to either the Light or the Dark, and be rewarded with a sliver of their power. They may channel the inherent magic of the Earth.

The fourth way is to steal it. These thieves are called The Afflicted and they are abominations- The lecture Notes of Father Fredrick~

-Daniel Fleeting-

I knew it the moment it happened. One moment I was riding into the rising sun, mere minutes from confronting Devnikolus and earning my salvation. The next, I sensed the familiar swell of teleportation magic ... and then he was gone.

I had screamed then.

My horse reared back and I toppled from my saddle. Hard stone rushed to greet my less hard head ... and I lost consciousness.

The waking world greeted me with a sharp pain at the back of my skull.

~You're lucky to be alive ... again, Vraiel, the Angel in my head stated wryly.

~How long was I unconscious? I asked through the throbbing.

~You cracked the back of your skull~ Vraiel replied, The damage was severe, and you would have died had your stone heart not used its unholy magic to heal you and stop the bleeding.

I winced. The next time I had to use Light magic the residue from my Demonic core would cause me terrible discomfort.

"We missed him," I said out loud.

This always happened. The power of travel by magic was beyond me, but the Prince of Destruction used this ability with impunity. But he hadn't teleported for so long ... I had thought ... had hoped ... that I would catch up to him this time. Now he was too far away to even sense, and I would have to start all over.

~We will just have to hope we stumble over him again, Vraiel said in my head, We have no idea how far he has gone. We should just pick a direction and commit to it.~

I looked around, hoping that my horse was still nearby.

~When the unholy magic began to work upon us the horse became spooked and bolted~ Vraiel told me bitterly.

My sword was poking uncomfortably into my side, but at least it hadn't been in the saddle bag.

I stood up slowly, and brushed the dirt from my travel clothes. The saddle bag filled with my tools was gone. My vial of holy water, my scroll of earth moving, and my ever precious thrice blessed cross. Without that cross I didn't stand a chance against the Demon Prince.

~The cross is safe, along with the scroll Vraiel said cheerfully, I'm glad I insisted you have that leather smith make you that hip pouch.~

With budding joy, I touched the small bag looped to my trousers.

~That is another thing that I am in your debt for Vraiel, I said.

He didn't reply, but I could tell he was happy.

I was just stretching and limbering out my sore shoulder, when something caught my senses. In the distance, in the direction that Devnikolus had been in, I caught a faint trace of his power. It was starting to move north quickly, as if it was moving by horseback

~How is this possible?~ I asked Vraiel silently.

~It is possible that we are sensing one of the Prince's servants, Vraiel responded with glee.

I would have to run using Light magic to keep pace with a horse, and it would be agony. But, this traveling flicker of unholy power was all I had to continue my search, and I was willing to bear it.

"Let's go introduce ourselves," I said as I began to run.

-Alarial-

The cart trundled along at a maddeningly slow pace. My head bobbed as I tried to keep myself awake against the gentle motions of my wooden seat. Jon sat beside me looking straight ahead.

I dared not fall asleep, because if I fell asleep all I saw was his face, and that caused me misery when I woke and found I had only been dreaming of my Master.

"I'm surprised he hasn't come to find us," Jon said suddenly.

His voice was a welcome break in the monotony.

"We don't know where he is Jon," I said softly, ready to defend my Master, "He might be safe but unable to travel back to us."

Jon shook his head, "I know we don't know anything for sure, but Devnik can travel great distances at a moment's notice. His magic has few limits."

I shrugged, and voiced a concern that had crept into my mind unbidden, "Maybe my wish sent him back down to hell?" I asked.

Again his head shook in the negative, "No, I'm almost positive that your wish would have sent him to his house in Ireland. That was where he first crossed from Hell to Earth, and he is at his strongest and safest there."

I nodded and looked back at the road, "I'm sure he has his reasons Jon," I replied sleepily.

The butler shrugged and fell silent. He wrapped his hands around in the reigns.

We didn't reach a village like we had hoped we would before the horses tired. Jon decided that a small stream a few paces into the wood away from the road would be ideal. The ancient man's young face looked haggard as he unbuckled the horses from their carriage and brushed them down.

When he was done the beasts trod over to the stream and began to take water.

I was tasked with gathering small twigs and brambles so that we might have a fire for the night. My mind wandered back to my Master and the ease at which he commanded fire.

My sex pulsed and I felt a wave of arousal travel from my belly to my breasts. It would do no good to think of him, I reminded myself. This excitement is empty without him.

Jon sat down next to me as I began to arrange the brambles and stones I had collected.

"I don't have any flint or tinder," Jon said, "Do you think you can use magic? I haven't used my blade to strike a fire in decades and I would rather not dull the edge."

"I don't know the Angelic words for fire," I said glumly. My vocabulary was rather limited. The only words I knew were 'free me.'

Jon leaned back against a tree trunk and straightened his long legs. I sat down on the ground and stretched mine out as well. My dress flared up my legs, exposing a great deal of thigh.

In my current state of exhaustion I didn't care. Besides, I was no lady. The ex-whore in me giggled.

The butler smiled, "I don't think magic requires the words of Heaven or Hell to work. I think it is more an exercise of will."

I eyed him suspiciously, "Are you questioning my strength of mind Jon?" I asked icily.

He gave a great belly laugh, and after a moment I joined him.

We enjoyed our camaraderie.

We were only just beginning to relax, when something unexpected occurred.

A voice shot out from amongst the trees, "Hello the camp!" Cried a voice tinged with an English accent.

Jon shared a brief look of puzzlement with me before he replied, "Hello the traveler!" he replied loudly, with his hands cupped about his mouth.

Out from the underbrush came a rather bedraggled looking traveler. His dirty blond hair was mussed and had a leaf nestled in it. His clothes looked dirt stained and well worn.

At his hip a rusty sword swung loosely on a belt.

I quickly glanced at Jon's sword next to his feet ... and reassured myself that we were not without protection. Again, I missed my Master, and the overwhelming safety he could provide.

"I'm afraid we don't have much to offer stranger," Jon said wearily as he got to his feet, "We don't have any fare with us," he paused and looked down at our unlit fire, "I'm afraid we don't have a tinderbox to offer you a fire either."

The dirty blond haired laughed, "Perhaps I can be of some assistance somehow," he replied as he unbuckled his sword from his hip."

Jon tensed, and with a neat flick of his foot he kicked his sword up into his hands.

"Peace my friend," said the stranger, "I simply need the pommel of my sword, a handful of that dried grass, and the stone next to my lady's foot."

Jon relaxed slightly, "I thought about doing it the old traveler's way ... but it has been so long I didn't know if I could do it."

The man nodded, "Some skills fade with time," he said in a faraway voice.

With that, the ragged man went about his business, and within a minute he had the dry grass spitting up glowing embers. Within three a small fire crackled.

The man sat, "There," he said, "That should keep the cold away. Name's Daniel by the way," he said with a nod to each of us.

"Jon," said my companion.

"And I am Maria," I said with a small smile.

True night had fallen, and the fire's glow seemed to be all one could see.

"Thank you for your help," Jon said, "I wish we had something to offer you, but I spoke truly when I said we have no food."

The man shrugged, "In truth, providing me with company and conversation will be enough, my trade does not leave me much time to simply talk."

"What do you do Monsieur?" I asked. I decided I liked this man, despite being rough around the edges.

Daniel shrugged, "Oh, I must beg your pardon my lady, but I am hesitant these days to discuss my profession. Many don't believe me when I tell them, and those that do shun me ... but the people who have seen what I have seen thank me."

Now I had to know, "Please Monsieur, we will give you the benefit of the doubt."

He seemed to pause, and then decide.

Daniel smiled, "Tell me my lady, do you believe in Monsters?"

My mind instantly flashed to Devnik. I could see his blood red eyes glowing beneath his dark locks, and the fearsome bolts of magic he had hurled at Cariel. Then my mind flashed again, and I was pinned to the bed, his arms around my wrists like shackles as he pounded into my body. I could feel him sinking into my wet and throbbing core ... sounds of moisture revealing my humiliating level of arousal.

Yes, I believed in monsters. I waited for one to visit my dreams each night.

"Why, yes Monsieur Daniel," I said slowly, "I think monsters must exist, especially when I am out in a dark wood."

Daniel smiled, "That's good," he said lightly, "You will have no problem believing me when I tell you my profession."

He leaned closer, as if whispering an illicit secret, "I'm a Monster Hunter."

-Daniel Fleeting-

~These two reek of magic, I thought to myself and Vraiel.

They were an unlikely pair. The man was wearing the common cuffs and coat of a Parisian Butler. He had thick dark brown hair with matching brown eyes. His face was riddled with scars, all of them looked old and well healed. He had seen violence early in life.

That and his little trick with his sword made me keep my eye on him.

~There is something amiss with his ring, Vraiel whispered in my head so I wouldn't miss any of the conversation being spoken aloud.

~Magic?~ I queried silently.

~If it is, it is buried too deeply in the metal, and I cannot get a feel for it, replied Vraiel.

"Would you be an official Hunter then?" Jon asked slowly.

Inwardly I smiled, it would have been much harder if they hadn't risen up to my probing about the supernatural, and had pretended to be unaware.

"Why, yes I am," I said as I rolled back my sleeve to reveal my right wrist.

A small tattoo of a weeping eye glimmered in the firelight.

Jon leaned forward to get a better look, then sat back with a grunt of affirmation. "That looks real enough for me," he said.

"What does a Monster Hunter do?" asked the girl.

I gave the young woman an assessing look.

She looked to be about eighteen, maybe nineteen. Here light blue eyes were incredibly pale, and her blonde wavy hair shimmered all the way down to her lower back. She was beautiful in the way an Angel might be. Less desirable because of overwhelming perfection.

The Singers are the seven who tend to God's throne. They flitter about the Center Sphere and chant the eternal praises of their Lord. When He does not sit upon the throne, the Light look to the Singers to lead them. ~Taken from Alexander Morningstar's Celestial Matters. Celestial Wars Ch 01

First some house clearing. This story is the direct sequel to ‘Celestial Matters’ and should not be read without reading that first. I have broken the story into three parts. (Mainly due to fan encouragement). Each part will be six chapters long and about sixty pages in a word processor. Also, in lieu of some emails I have received I feel obligated to warn you gentle reader, that this is story does not immediately launch into the sex. Your comments and your votes mean the world to me…so...

Celestial Awakenings

Celestial Awakenings By Julie O Edited By Amelia R. Chapter 1 Celeste Farnsworth was reading the morning paper when Dr. Nancy Chen joined her for breakfast in the dining room of her Southampton estate. A short, middle-aged woman with raven hair brought in a fresh pot of coffee. "Good morning, Celeste," greeted Nancy, as she sat down next to the pretty young woman with auburn hair. "Good morning. Looks like you were up late again," commented Celeste. "Thank you, Ina." The...

Celestial MattersSin or Suicide

-Daniel Fleeting- (1097 AD. Somewhere outside Jerusalem) The battlefield was decided. It was a great dusty plain, with mountains to the far west, and Jerusalem straight ahead barley visible in the distance. I could see the banners of the Seljuk Turks standing their ground a mile ahead of our regiment. I grasped my holy weapon tighter. I paid no mind to the mortal foes that made up the enemy rank. I kept my eyes moving constantly, searching for the demon. Father Fredrick said I'd know...

Celestial MattersFriends of a Certain Kind

A demon doesn't sleep the way a human does. We share similar qualities ... for example we both have no awareness of our surroundings while we slumber ... which is why both humans and demons choose a place they feel secure before laying down to rest. But a demon always knows what time of day it is. We can sense the sun ... we always know where it rests in the sky. That is how I knew night was approaching ... and I was impatient. I was eager to start my night ... I wanted to know what Jon...

Celestial MattersThe Comforting Chains

I knew Devnik wasn't beside me. It was a strange sensation, knowing something without knowing how. I sleepily remembered Devnik had departed with Jon ... I wondered what was going on between those two. How can a demon and a human interact with each other like that? I was briefly embarrassed that Jon had seen me naked. I hardly knew the man ... just that he was a human ... but not quite the same as other humans ... I chuckled to myself. It was strange to think of humans as a different...

His laughter boomed out into the brisk breezes of the early morning. It wasn't the laugh of someone who had heard a jest they found amusing. It was a peal of triumph. He wasn't taking the news like I thought he would. I expected confusion, then comprehension. I expected to strike during that hesitation. This was supposed to be my chance I tried to twist vigorously against the grip he had on my throat ... but I couldn't move. My legs swung uselessly in the air. I wanted to scream, but I...

Don't fret my sweet. Endings don't last forever... -Forgotten Lovers -Alarial- It wasn't painful. Not like I expected it would be. When Jon and Cariel had talked about Hell's 'call' I had imagined an uncomfortable and irresistible pull. But there was none of that. It felt more like a question than a pull. I felt a cool presence embrace me, and it seemed to ask me if I would like to go with it. It did not try and trick me. This 'presence' seemed to make it clear that Hell was...

Celestial Review

March 18 You probably can't believe I'm still writing this. The truth is, I can hardly believe it myself. I certainly thought long and hard about it, but finally decided that since the whole thing's all out in the open anyway that there wasn't much reason to stop writing about it. And you might find this hard to fathom but I feel like I have a certain kind of relationship with you; a relationship that I want to honor. You might wonder at my sanity, but there you have it. -Maria- I felt hollowed out. As if someone had reached into me and pulled out all my insides. My muscles were too sore to even think about, let alone move. I could feel the soft silk sheets under me, and the satin pillow that I rested my head on. I cracked my eyes open. The fire had gone out, but the room wasn't cold. Devnik wasn't here. That made me sad. I shook my head violently, trying to clear the unwanted demon from my mind. The shaking reminded me of how sore I was. I...

Celestial MattersWe Must Be Away

-Devnik- Maria was breathing heavily. I could see the outline of her breasts slowly rise and fall from underneath the sheet she had draped across her shoulders. Her face was flushed ... and she was staring at me hungrily. My little half-angel was aroused. We both listened to Jon's boots echo off the stone walls as he walked up the spiral staircase. The door shut at the top of the stairs ... and we were alone. I repeated my questions, "What is your desire my sweet?" She smiled softly...

Celestial MattersOn the Run

-Maria- It felt like I was going on an adventure. The old timber of the carriage creaked as it rolled. I could hear the clips and clops of horse hooves against the worn cobbled path. I was leaving France. Never in my wildest dreams had I ever imagined living anywhere but Paris. Never had I imagined being anything but a prostitute. Now I was headed for Ireland in clothes fit for a baroness with a man I called Master ... and lover. Despite the insulation of the carriage, the cold air...

Celestial MattersImmortal Intended

-Maria- The still of the early evening settled upon the little inn. A cool morning had given way to a scorching afternoon. Jon had carried in the results of his labors chopping wood, and Boyce, the owner of the inn had practically fallen over himself with gratitude. Boyce was an old man who didn't have the strength for cutting firewood anymore. When the inn ran out, Brie would have to go out and do the best she could. As a show of thanks Boyce insisted that we sit in the common room and...

Celestial MattersOne Family

-Maria- My body was singing. My arms were too heavy to move and my legs felt like they were made of jam ... but that didn't matter. I had never been so content in my life. My pussy was throbbing, and I could tell that I was still soaking down there. The fire crackled gently, and the smell of wood, smoke and sex laced the air with a heady and wonderful aroma. Not even my awkward positioning over the side of the chair could dampen my bounding joy. I gazed up at my Master. His long black...

Celestial WarsChapter 2

~The Bra'rul are sharp and fierce. They appear as beautiful men or woman with long dark talons and black feathered wings. There greatest strength is their speed and ferocity, which is unmatched by any other demon to walk the plains of Hell. Best disposed of at a distance- The Hunter's Manifesto -Cariel- I felt his arms slither around me. My body shivered, and tensed immediately. A sense of wrongness and panic encroached on the edges of my mind. I had never been this close to a member...

Celestial WarsChapter 4 Black Flames

The Royalty of the Dark were once Angels. Betrayal sent them to Hell, but it was Hell that corrupted them. They are the original Fallen. Other Angels have been corrupted by Hell since, but none can compare to the Original Ten. They are to be scorned. They are to be pitied.-A scrap of Parchment that burned at Alexandria Devnik I had almost forgotten. Strange really ... how I could have almost forgotten. Like a piece of gristle between a tooth, or a pain that lingered and wouldn't go away,...

Celestial WarsChapter 5 Conflict

~I heard the buzzing. The Flies were everywhere. Fresh corpses were stripped to the bone in seconds ... and in the middle, Beelzebub sat, devouring the flesh of fallen. – Survivor of the Pyrrhic war.~ Daniel Fleeting This wasn't part of the plan. I had been distracted for a moment. This woman with jet black hair and forest green eyes had reminded me of a past love ... and I had dropped my guard. Had I been aware I would have realized that no woman living in the forest has a teacup...

Celestial WarsChapter 6 Taming

Humans are both Light and Dark. We are capable of the most selfless compassions, and the most delicious sins. A life without both is an empty hollow thing. – Unknown Devnik Maria's face smiled sadly at me as the dream fell apart. Her image faded and broke like the reflection of a shattering mirror. She said she was coming back to me. That thought alone prevented my mind from despairing. I could feel a stirring underneath one of my arms. Consciousness drifted lazily back into my mind...

Celestial WarsChapter 8

No Return Only HE can force an Angel to enter Hell. Once a being of the Light has walked within the Halls of the Damned, there is no saving them. The Dark always keeps those who embrace it. -Devnik- Her breath went out slowly ... and with it came a whisper. "So good..." The words were soft and muffled ... and they were lead-heavy and full of a woman's emotions. The sound of it was utterly foreign to me. I didn't understand it ... not even a sliver. I drew her closer and softly...

Celestial WarsChapter 9

Butler at Sea Leviathan is the Demon Prince of Wrath, Deep Dwellers, and Violent Waters. His moods are mercurial and ever shifting. He has never set foot on the dry lands of Earth. Jonathan the Courageous The boat shifted slightly as we shoved off. Timber and board creaked delightfully as the waters of the channel caressed the hull. I smiled and sighed. Boats are wonderful things. Five hundred years of living, and a strong ship and sea breeze still made me grin like a fool. But, I was a...

Celestial WarsChapter 11

Rain and Flame ~Humans live two lives. First, they live out their mortal years, and those determine if they shall fall unto Hell, or ascend unto Heaven. Second, they live as a soul of either Light or Dark. When the soul dies ... it vanishes unto Nothing. The Third Lesson of the Magician's Guild. -Devnik- Clouds rolled in across the night sky ... quick and low and determined. My tongue flicked out to taste the air. It was heavy and filled with the promise of rain. I turned my head up,...

Celestial WarsChapter 15 Black Deeds

"Love is not righteous. Only a fool who has never felt love's bitter edges would claim otherwise. Love is greedy, love is dark, and love is jealous. But this is why we desire love above all else. It is like a mania. Our thoughts become clouded, but our blood thrums with life." -Attributed to Lilith, Princess of Lust and Blood Devnik I could feel the daylight shield rippling like gauze around me. My skin tingled. It felt like a thin layer of frost had settled softly against me. I...

The River Ch 02

As the river continues its soft gurgle, I hear your breathing return to a semblance of normal. I glance up at your face. The moonlight is bathing it in a soft light. Your eyes have been dulled by your recent climax, but a playful lust is returning to them. As you watch my mouth, lips, and tongue softly kiss and caress your smooth inner thighs and still dew-covered lips, your eyes brighten. Before stopping, though, I run the tip of my tongue slowly but firmly across your heated lips, flicking...

Marie 1

Marie had shoulder length brown hair, was less than five foot tall and had an innocent air about her that I found really appealing. When she was embarrassed her face just looked so angelic and she would flush bright red, looking at the floor. She had a great figure for such a small girl which she inadvertently showed off when she wore low cut tops, not really low but they would show a fair portion of her breasts. She was 15 when she met my son Lee. They had been going out for a while before...

Majorette Mirage 1

Started writing this years ago and lost interest after getting the Gossip Girl stories going. Those of you who do not like the way the story is broken apart when FictionMania publishes it can email me directly at [email protected] to get the raw file for easier reading using Microsoft Notepad. Majorette Mirage 1 As I sat on the edge of Talitha's bed watching her tap her foot on the carpet, I tried to come up with a solution to the huge problem we...

Something with my Sister Deb

It was an afternoon in July, I was about three months short of my seventeenth birthday. I was practicing one on one basket¬ball with my sister Debbie, who would be sixteen in September. Debbie is going into grade ten, while I am going into grade eleven at our school. Debbie is on the basketball team, and I was show¬ing her a couple of moves. This one was to dribble up to the opponent, then pivot, while lowering a shoulder, and then dribble around them, using the shoulder to block them away...

Michelob

So I was dating this girl Ashley one summer while I was working out of town. She was a few years younger than me, and cute She was tall--about 5'10"--and very thin with slim legs a yard long and small, firm breasts punctuated by always-hard, tiny dark nipples precisely in the center of each boob. Below them, a long waist stretched to prominent hipbones. Trailing down from her sexy "outie" navel was a furrow of black hair that blossomed into a thick patch of pubic hair.I'm not k**ding here, but...

Power Chapter Thirteen Thanksgiving

Chapter Thirteen:Thanksgiving We had off for Thanksgiving. My mother sent a plane ticket so I flew home for the weekend. Ben was on the same flight with me. I avoided talking with him or even looking at him. Bethany was at the airport to pick us both up. Ben spoke as soon as we were in the car. “Mark and I sucked each other’s dicks. It was a lot of fun.” Bethany looked at me and asked if I was gay. I told her I was not, and I had a steady date, a girl with whom I had sex almost every day. Ben...

Rooms for Rent

It had been a year, a year since the death of your beloved Great Aunt Rachel. She had passed away quietly in her sleep and the funeral was beautiful. You had watched the memorial proceedings with tears in your eyes as you remembered the times you spent with her during the summer in her house just outside of her hometown. She never had children of her own, so she spoiled your mother, her niece, and your mother's siblings, and you and her siblings. A few days after the funeral, you got a call...
