“Uncle Steve, are you staying?” Nicholas asked.

“Yes,” I said. “Your mom invited me to stay tonight.”

“Will you tuck me in?”

I glanced over to Bethany who nodded.

“Of course!” I said, getting up.

He kissed and hugged his mom, then I took him to his room, and helped him into bed. At his request I read Ten Apples Up On Top to him. When I finished the book, I kissed his forehead, turned off the light, and then went back to the living room. I sat down on the couch next to Bethany who cuddled close.

“How are you doing?” I asked.

“Good. I’m busy, which is a good thing and a bad thing.”

“I can imagine.”

“The University asked me to do a series of seminars on ‘date rape’ and sexual assault. I’ll do two each quarter for the rest of the year, and then we’ll reevaluate.”

“That’s cool,” I said.

“Did Jason leave today?”

“Yes. Abbie was pretty bummed, but she’ll go see him in March. That’s when they race in Atlanta, so Jason can go home for the night.”

“Have you heard from Michelle?”

“Every three to four weeks or so I get a postcard that says basically the same thing - that’s she’s doing fine, that she’s praying for me, and that I should continue to pray for her.”

“You won’t see her when you go to Pittsburgh next month?”

“No. I won’t see her until the abbess tells her it’s OK. She told the abbess everything. That’s why she was sent back to ‘put her affairs in order’, so to speak.”

“Were you tempted at all?”

“Tempted? Sure. Was it something I would ever have acted on? No way. I told Michelle it would be a grave sin for me to do that. And I mean that.”

“Because you would take her from her true calling.”

“Yes.”

“What’s going to happen after March 1st?”

I chuckled, “Good question. I don’t think Elyse knows at this point. She’s become much more aggressive in bed.”

“Interesting. She hasn’t really been like that since the apartment.”

“Before Eduardo,” I said. “Maybe she’s just working it out of her system before he gets here.”

“You’re still going to be with her, right?”

“Occasionally. Probably about like you and me. This is what? The fourth time since October?”

“Are you counting?” Bethany smirked.

“If I was counting, I wouldn’t have asked!” I chuckled.

“I have some interesting news.”

“What’s that?”

“I have a date on Friday night. A paramedic.”

“Doctor Jessica approved?” I asked.

Bethany laughed, “Yes. When he asked me out, I told him I’d think about it and talked to Jessica and a couple of nurses. They gave him high marks for being a really nice guy. It doesn’t hurt that he’s good looking and muscular!”

“Never married?”

“Divorced. According to the nurses, his ex couldn’t handle his work schedule. No kids.”

“I know I’m getting WAY ahead of the game, but have you thought about a little brother or sister for Nicholas?”

“I’m not opposed to the idea, but that is way ahead of the game.”

“I wish you the best,” I said.

“Shall we go to bed?”

“You don’t have to ask twice!” I grinned.

“I owe Jessica and Kara a big thanks for tonight!”

“Jess has her period, which means Kara will get hers by tomorrow!”

Bethany laughed, “I don’t think that’s ever stopped you before!”

“No, but it’s a bit messy! And oral sex during a period isn’t my cup of tea.”

“Says the man who will kiss a girl with her mouth full of his cum or shove his tongue into her freshly fucked pussy!”

“I don’t like coconut, caviar, or pâté either. What’s your point?”

Bethany giggled, “Tonight I’m going to give you a fantastic blowjob and a mouthful of your own cum!”

“Maybe I’ll go home,” I chuckled as we climbed into her bed.

“Only if you want to die, Mr. Adams!” she growled. “Slowly and painfully!”

January 13, 1993, Chicago, Illinois

“Steve! You have to see this!” Elyse called out.

I got up from my study and went to the great room.

“What’s up?”

“Mario Lemieux was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma!”

“Oh, shit,” I sighed. “How bad?”

“It’s not clear. They said he’s going to undergo aggressive radiation treatment.”

“Shit. I’ll have to ask Jess about that.”

When Kara and I met Jessica at the hospital, I immediately asked her about it.

“Survival rates are pretty good, and given he’s an athlete in generally good health, I’d say his chances are excellent. He may never play hockey again, though.”

“That would suck,” I said. “But being alive is a bit more important than a hockey career.”

“And a NASCAR career?” she asked.

“Jess, don’t start, please,” I sighed. “You can’t compare the two things.”

I was glad when she dropped the issue and our trio simply walked home hand-in-hand.

January 15, 1993, Chicago, Illinois

“A quiet week? How did THAT happen?” Elyse asked as we walked out of the building on Friday afternoon.

“Other than the news about Lemieux’s cancer, it happens! Have you heard anything from Cindi or Charlie about hiring?”

“Not beyond what was said at Monday’s staff meeting. They’re gathering candidates. I’m hoping we can interview when we go to Pittsburgh and then out west.”

“Still planning to travel with me?”

“Absolutely!” she said with a huge smile.

We got into my car for the drive home. We’d taken to carpooling most days, unless I had someplace to go after work which wasn’t very often.

“Even the first Rap Session last Sunday was quiet. They seem to be dying out.”

“Every year they’re great for the first semester, but not so great the second. Michelle made a huge difference because she brought such a different perspective. I still haven’t figured out the best approach.”

“Getting naked seemed to really kick things into gear.”

I laughed, “It did, but I’m not sure we can pull that same stunt twice, especially given that about two thirds of the kids were here for that last time. And don’t forget Samantha isn’t eighteen until April, which could present a problem.”

“I’d say unless we figure something out, kids will stop showing up.”

I sighed, “I think you’re right. I’ll have to keep thinking about it. Have you figured out what to do after March 1st?”

“No. I figure Eduardo needs to get settled in a place, get his bearings in the office, and then we’ll figure it out. You don’t have a problem with him spending time at the house, do you?”

“I’m the wrong man in your life to ask THAT question of. I think two young men have opinions far more important than mine!”

“I am totally not sure how Matthew and Michael are going to respond.”

“I can’t provide any insight to that one. Our little guys don’t really pay much attention to who I sleep with and when. Not like Jesse and Birgit.”

“NOBODY is like Birgit!” Elyse laughed. “I think she has a notebook!”

“I’ve called her the ‘Neighborhood Watch’ a few times,” I chuckled. “She’s the only one of the kids that knows about Michelle and me.”

“So what do you think?”

“I think you invite Eduardo to the house to meet everyone, but I wouldn’t invite him to spend the night, at least at first. You go out with your friends on Friday nights sometimes, and the kids are in bed when you get home, so I don’t think they’d really notice if you stayed over at his place if you wanted to.”

Elyse shook her head, “No, I shouldn’t do that until I can tell the boys. I THINK they’ll be OK with it. I just have to make sure they know I’m not trying to replace you.”

“Catch Matthew on a day when I’ve taken away his SEGA and you might get a different answer on whether that would be a good thing or not!”

“That doesn’t happen all that often! I suppose I’ll start by inviting him to our Saturday family dinners. I assume he’s welcome at breakfast and Guys’ Night?”

“Definitely. Eduardo and I always got along really well.”

“And you’re OK with this? Really OK?”

“This was what we expected to happen all along after we had Matthew and Michael. We just didn’t know it would be Eduardo!”

“As long as you’re OK with it.”

“I am,” I said. “You have to do what makes you happy. I’ve had almost three bonus years that I didn’t expect!”

Elyse laughed, “That’s how I see it, too! And now that you’ve agreed that the rules don’t apply to me, I suppose I have forty or fifty more years!”

“You think we’ll still be making love when we’re 80?”

“Unless one of us is dead!” Elyse said quite firmly.

January 20, 1993, Chicago, Illinois

“I’m going to turn on the inauguration in the main conference room,” Elyse said.

“Go on. Anyone who wants to watch is welcome to watch if their supervisor agrees. I don’t plan to watch. I’ll read the highlights of Clinton’s speech in the paper tomorrow.”

“Have you ever watched the speech?”

“Reagan in ‘81 and ‘85,” I said. “I know my parents always watched when I was little, but I don’t remember. The first political thing I really remember was Nixon’s resignation speech in ‘74. I was at Marydale when that happened.”

“I wasn’t a news junkie back then.”

“Me either,” I agreed. “Though I prefer my news from the Tribune or The Economist to TV. CNN is OK, but at times it drives me nuts because the reporting is so shallow.”

“That’s the price for basically an eighteen-minute global newscast.”

“Let me know if anything exciting happens. I suspect it won’t.”

“I suspect you’re right.”

January 22, 1993, Chicago, Illinois

“You’re absolutely sure about this?” I asked Samantha after dinner.

“Yes. I want to. It might only be this time and never again, but tonight I want to.”

“OK,” I said.

“Can we use the sauna? And this time without the bikinis?”

“I thought you both were super sexy in those bikinis!”

“We could wear them if you wanted.”

“I will get to see everything, eventually!”

Twenty minutes later, Samantha, Ellie, and I were sitting close together in the sauna wearing bathing suits.

“Are Mary and Liz going to be here tomorrow?” I asked.

“Why?” Samantha giggled. “Aren’t the two of us enough for you?”

“You know,” I chuckled, “one of these days, I’m going to do the same thing I’ve done to Elyse and call you on that!”

“You wouldn’t dare!” Samantha teased.

“Try, me, little girl!” I said with a big grin.

“You’d actually do something like that?” Ellie asked.

“Four girls? Back when I was your age, I did it a few times, and the girls even did stuff with each other. On my twentieth birthday, I had five girls, but they were one after the other and I was only in bed with one at a time.”

“Did stuff with each other?” Ellie asked.

“Yes.”

“Seriously?”

“Ellie,” I said gently. “Jesse’s moms are married to each other. Think about that!”

“Oh!” she gasped. “I uh, never thought about it! They teach us that it’s a terrible sin!”

“Yeah, well, I happen to disagree. So do Jennifer and Josie.”

“Do your wives, uh, you know?”

“Yes. The three of us make love together, in every way. Not like with you and Samantha one at a time.”

“Why?”

“Because we all love each other,” I said.

“They like girls?”

“No, they love each other. They don’t want to be with other girls. Or other guys.”

“But they’re obviously OK with you being with other girls.”

“Yes. The three of us talked about all of this before we got married. Just like I talked it all through with Samantha before she and I were together the first time, and like Samantha and I talked to you. So long as everyone understands, and everyone agrees, then whatever people want to do is OK.”

“Anything?”

“Anything that’s within the rules you make for yourself or the people you’re with, so long as everyone agrees.”

“So your rules let you be with anyone you want?”

I chuckled, “Not anymore! Samantha reined me in! But even before that, there were people I couldn’t be with. The rules kind of developed over time, but started with nobody who was in a committed relationship. Then nobody at work and later nobody where my wives work. Then as I got older, no girls under the age of consent. And of course, the STD test. Samantha’s rules said I couldn’t flirt with or hit on her friends. And she wants me to limit myself to her, besides the other girls who live here.”

“So that’s why you can’t have Liz or Mary?”

“Yes, but it’s not quite that simple. I’ve been pretty crazy in the past, like I said, and I’m trying to be more controlled.”

“So you really WOULDN’T call Samantha on it!”

I laughed, “I will always hold out the possibility just to keep her in line! So you never know! And I can be just as bad at teasing as she can!”

“He can,” Samantha laughed. “Be careful!”

“Back to the question that you never answered, are your friends coming tomorrow?”

Samantha smirked, “That depends on you, doesn’t it?”

I laughed, “Good one! You keep teasing me about that, so I’ll tell you what. If those two girls show up tomorrow with clean STD tests, I’ll fuck their little brains out! On one condition.”

“What’s that?” Samantha asked, laughing almost as hard as I was.

“That the three of us make love. Together. Tonight.”

“Ewwwww!” both girls exclaimed in unison, each making a face that showed disgust.

“That’s what I thought!” I grinned, putting my arms around both girls.

“Yes, they’ll be here tomorrow,” Samantha said.

When it was time to get out of the sauna, Samantha asked if we could use the whirlpool and I agreed. I filled the tub, adjusted the sauna controls and got in. The girls giggled, stripped off their bikinis and climbed into the swirling water with me. They were both small enough that we could manage with them turned slightly towards me and my arms around them.

When we got out of the tub, we put on robes and went up to Samantha’s room where I made love to the girls, one at a time, and then we snuggled and slept together.

January 23, 1993, Chicago, Illinois

On Saturday morning, I made love to both of them, individually, again, and then we showered and I dressed to head to breakfast with the guys. Howard had a shiny new ensign with him, fresh from the Academy, Brian Frost. He introduced him to everyone, and I let everyone know that in just over a month, Eduardo would join us. A few people remembered him, especially Kurt and Dave, but none of our Navy friends knew him, nor anyone who’d joined our group after he’d left for Wharton.

After breakfast, I drove home, and then my wives and I headed to karate.

“Is Ellie a permanent fixture?” Jessica asked as our trio walked hand-in-hand-in-hand down Woodlawn.

“That’s a good question,” I said. “I think Samantha is trying to adapt herself to being with me.”

“Do they... ?” Kara asked.

I laughed, “No way! They’re like Elyse, I suppose. Last night, Samantha was teasing me about Liz and Mary, and I offered to, quote, ‘fuck their little brains out’, unquote, on one condition - that Samantha, Ellie, and I make love; together. Their immediate response, in unison, mind you, was ‘Ewwwww!’. And they had looks of disgust on their face.”

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 14 Christmas Confessions

December 24, 1988, Chicago, Illinois “It just seems wrong to not have Jessica here,” Kara said. “I know,” I sighed. “But the sooner she went into the facility, the sooner she’ll get out. And then she starts the long process of getting reinstated at UofC.” “Do you think she’ll work when she gets out?” “Maybe. It all depends on her. If we assume she’s there for six to eight weeks, which Al said was pretty typical, she won’t get out of there until February. The next year for her Residency...

Raw Confessions

RawConfessions! If you think I only ever review websites that have smut on them, you’re dead wrong. You might be disappointed to see me reviewing Raw Confessions, but I’m playing the long game here. I’ve already covered thousands of high-quality porn sites and branched out into gaming and VR shit, so I figured I should cast a wide net across forums as well, especially if there’s potential for smut down the line. Currently, Raw Confessions is an adult confessions forum. That much should be clear...

Father Leary Hears More Private Confessions

Father Lester finished his last confession early. There were no more high school kids waiting except for two who always waited for Father Leary. Lester went to the rectory meaning to stop by Father Leary's office to pick up some papers that Leary had asked him to look at for him. When the thirty year old priest entered the outer office he noticed a pretty young girl sitting patiently on a bench. "Good afternoon Father Lester." Young Jill Ebber said with a sweet smile on her face. "Good...

Crack Whore Confessions

Heard any good Crack Whore Confessions lately? I guess that might depend on if you’re the kind of guy who gets his rocks off safely to the sexy girls of the Internet or if you’re the kind of guy who risks infections and robberies getting a piece over on the sketchy part of town. Hey, I’ve been there before. Sometimes when you’re hard up, the girls who hang out around the hourly motels start looking a hell of a lot more attractive. I’ll tell you this much: they’re even sexier when it’s your...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

Father Learys Private Confessions

Normally Thursday afternoon confessions were something Father Leary disliked. All those high school teenagers confessing the same sins every week, but this Thursday the priest was in a splendid mood and was more lenient than usual when doling out penance. He was in a good mood because he expected young Jill Ebber this Thursday to give penance in the good Father's private office as she had done last week. The fifteen year old had allowed the priest to spank her on her cute rounded bare bottom...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

June 15, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “That’s everything, I think,” I said. “My luggage is in the trunk of the car, I have my passport, tickets, and money, both dollars and yen. I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! I did see that on the front page of the Trib. Are we ready?” “Michelle and...

Anal Confessions

Hello, all! I’m going to try something different. From my various times posting older stories on different platforms, I used to get confessions in my inbox from girls and guys who wanted to tell their personal stories, and have me post them. Well, over time I collected quite a few. Some were long, and some were only a few sentences. But, they let me take creative license and write short “Confessions” using their little stories, and then post them. I’m sure this has already been done, but I’m...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 5 Housemates

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. Both of us would start school in a week and we were both looking forward to it. When we finished talking, I went out for my run, showered, and ate breakfast. I made some tea, started a load of laundry, and then turned on the stereo. I put on an REO Speedwagon album and then relaxed on the couch with the...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. Your guess is as good as anyone’s right about now.” “Steve, do you have a minute?”...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 36 My Lifes Journey

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 4 Calm Before the Storm

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

After her mom left for work, Kara gave me a fierce kiss. “Thanks for staying in and cooking breakfast for us,” Kara said. “I hope that doesn’t cause you trouble with Stephanie, with you breaking your normal routine.” “Don’t worry about it,” I said, kissing her back. “We got in a bit later than I expected, and she’ll...

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois After Rosie left, I stripped the sheets from my bed, as well as the cover of the duvet, and tossed everything into the washing machine. I lit a lavender candle in the room, and then swept and dusted. I did a quick spot-check of the rest of the house and noticed that the tub in the sauna needed to be cleaned. August, 1984, Chicago, Illinois The rest of the week proceeded as expected - class on Wednesday, as well as the usual visit from Penny, work on Thursday, and class on Friday. Kara and I had lunch together at IIT, Sofia practiced her driving and parking, and I hung out with Mark Agnini after class for beers. Victorias Punishment Part II Forced Confessions

Victoria walked down the hallway of Assumption Catholic High School away from her history classroom, where her teacher, Mr. O, had just minutes ago given her a spanking. And for some crazy reason, she had agreed to allow it. At first, it seemed like a viable way out of her problem. If Mr. O reported to the main office that she was about to be given a third detention, Victoria would have received an automatic one-day school suspension. And, for many reasons, that was just not an option for a...

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 77 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part I

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 34 Old Routines and New Ideas

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 35 An Interview and Some New Friends

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 6 SamanthaChapter 21 Georg and Maria

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 14 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 9 KamiChapter 38 And Sometimes It Stinks To Be Big

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. Are you the father of Michelle’s baby?” I shook my...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 73 Hypothetical Questions

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

En France The Confessions

Fizzy energy rippled through my body, I wanted to leave my desk, get out, and just walk.  Staring at my screen, flashbacks of last night pestered my restless mind.  Aggravated by the industrious silence, constrained by cream walls and utilitarian furniture, I had to escape.  Anne-Pierre liked games and last night was her best one yet.  Almost two weeks, five encounters, I thought I had the measure of her; then came the sucker punch. Sat in my office chair, weary muscles pleaded for freedom. ...

Confessions

"Confession time!" I announced as I passed the bottle of wine my girlfriends and I were working on. "I wanna hear all about your deepest, darkest confessions! Make me forget that bastard that cheated on me!" I knocked back my third glass of wine and reached for the bottle after Nikki passed it back to me. All of the women sitting around the fire started to giggle and point fingers to one another, trying to get someone to confess. "Oh, all right, said Shana. "I'll go but you all have to promise...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 25 The Puzzle and the Cat Part II

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. She dressed, and I got a very good look at her sexy body...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 74 A Whimper Not A Bang

April 5, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “You missed cuddles this morning!” Birgit said accusingly when I walked into the house about 9:30am. “I know, Pumpkin, but I had a work emergency and had to go see Aunt Joyce and Grandpa A.” “And now we have to get ready for karate!” “I know. We’ll have some family time this afternoon. I don’t have any plans.” “Good!” I hugged her and the rest of the kids, then went to find Kara. We hugged and kissed, and went straight upstairs to get ready for...

September 3, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Good morning, Sensei,” I said, bowing to Sensei Jim. “Good morning!” he said waving me to a chair in his office. “How was your trip?” I asked. “Enlightening. I spent most of my time acting as a manservant to Sensei Robert and Sensei Hiro.” “He who will lead, must first serve,” I said. “Someday, I’m going to send you to Sensei Hiro, should he live long enough. You understand.” “Does that mean you are now 6th Dan?” I...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 63 Not so Momentous After All

October 29, 2000, Chicago, Illinois Birgit followed me as far as the stairs, then scooted upstairs when I went to the front door and opened it. “Hi!” Sophie said. “Hi!” I replied and held the door open so she could come into the house. I closed the door behind her then led her to my study where I waited until she went in, and then walked in, closing the door behind me. I nodded to one of the wingback chairs, she sat down in one, and I sat down in the other. “Is something wrong?” she...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 61 Anala Part II

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 21 He Will Tell Thee What Thou Shalt Do

July 1982, Milford, Ohio On Tuesday morning, I kissed Kara goodbye and headed to my parents’ house for my usual morning routine with my little sister. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. As usual, we turned around and walked back, taking the path to the...

Thank Heavens you are here for me to share my story with!…. It was last fortnight when I was unceremoniously ‘dumped’ by my so-called man of two years. A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 37 Geisha

March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 72 An Explosive Discovery

April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

March 28, 1991, Chicago, Illinois “This day belongs to you, Kara!” I said when the three of us woke on Thursday morning. “Happy birthday!” Jessica said. “Thanks,” Kara replied happily. “I think I’d like an amazing birthday fuck from our husband, and then a nice loving shower with my wife!” Kara said. “Do we have enough time?” I asked. Jessica giggled, “I set the alarm for thirty minutes earlier!” “Then let’s not waste any of it!” I said pulling Kara to me. Kara’s squeals as I plunged...

September 1, 1987, Chicago, Illinois “I heard that you have some kind of plan to help Ed,” I said to Connie. “There’s no plan,” she replied. “A witness who saw the shopkeeper alive after Ed left came forward.” That sounded convenient, and I wondered if the witness was real or someone that Anthony had put forward to solve the problem. Certainly, the videotape was real, because I couldn’t imagine how Anthony could have faked that, but the witness? Who knew? “So is he being released? Or is...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 100 A Full Circle

August 17, 1997, Chicago, Illinois We finished lunch and Marissa and the younger kids went to play, but Natalie sat with the adults to talk, with coffee, tea, or soft drinks. The Sarcus were very comfortable, but the Heaths were still struggling. But, vitally, they hadn’t left and hadn’t insisted Natalie leave the group. “Can you explain how you developed this attitude and approach?” Chris asked. I nodded, “It started when I was just a bit younger than Natalie. My mom was a total control...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 6 A Tale of Three Cities Part III

July 1979 — Falkenberg, Sweden On Friday, when I got back from my run, Pam was in her bra and panties again. I whistled at her, she giggled, then finished dressing. I showered, and we went to breakfast and finished up our last day. Once class was done, we were pretty much free. On Saturday, we’d have several optional activities and then on Sunday we’d head back to our host families. After dinner on Friday, I took Pam’s hand and we walked towards the river. It was quiet and peaceful, and...

July 1980, Over the North Atlantic We reached cruising altitude, and I settled back to read my book. Pam raised the armrest between us, snuggled close to me and read as well. After the cabin crew picked up the trays and offered drinks again, they passed once more, offering headsets for the movie. Trevor and Maria took them, but Pam and I didn’t, instead we turned on...

July 8, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Is it really that surprising?” Leah asked. “I suppose not,” I replied. “I just didn’t read too much into the kiss on the cheek.” “I didn’t think it was a good idea to kiss you on the lips with all those people around, because I had no idea who they were or what they would think. You were VERY careful with our dance, so I kind of followed your lead.” Which showed very mature thinking on her part. Both of these girls were exactly the kind of students I...

November 8, 1993, Chicago, Illinois A dark fog swirled before my eyes as I tried to take stock. My head hurt, badly. I felt something on my face and realized, dimly, it was an oxygen mask. My right hand was uncomfortable and I recognized the feeling of an IV and pulse-oximeter. My left arm ached fiercely. On my chest I felt the pads and wires of an EKG. I didn’t feel anything else wrong as I continued taking inventory. I tried to open my eyes, but the fog didn’t clear. I tried to speak, but...

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois In the morning Anala and I ran as we had the previous time, then showered together, carefully washing each other’s bodies in an intimate but non-sexual way. After our shower we went to the kitchen and I made breakfast and we sat down to eat. “Steve, may I make a suggestion?” she asked. “Sure.” “Broaden your circle of friends.
