Play It Again, SamChapter 8: Yes, We Can Connect. But Not Here Please free porn video
The following week a couple of things happened. First, Heather would come home with Vicky on Friday after school and spend the weekend with us, and second, that Wednesday afternoon I phoned Clarity.
I picked 4:40 pm on Wednesday as the best time to make the call because I knew my old self wouldn't be home from work yet. I couldn't think of a more bazaar thing to do than to hold a conversation with myself over the phone. Just the thought of it gave me the willies.
The phone rang four times before it was picked up, "Hello?" Mary, my old self's wife's voice.
"Hi. This is Jimmy, is Clarity there?"
"Hang on. I'll get her."
"Clink" sound of the phone being set down, then in the background, "Clarity! ... Clarity! Telephone for you!"
Still in the background, Clarity's voice, "Who is it?"
More background, Mary's voice, "Somebody named Jimmy."
Background, Clarity's voice, "Eeeee ... yah!"
"Hello?" Clarity's voice sounded out of breath as if she had run to the phone.
"Hi Clarity. This is Jimmy, Jimmy Maxwell. We met at Mark Lawton's party the other night. You gave me your phone number, remember?"
"Hmmm ... Jimmy? Oh yes Jimmy, now I remember. You were with that freshman right... ? What's her name? Oh yes, Vicky. That's right Vicky. So, how are you Jimmy?"
"Good. And you?"
"Good too. So, why'd you call Jimmy?"
"Well, when you gave me your number you told me there was the possibility of you pouting to death if I didn't call. I certainly don't want the demise of a beautiful young woman on my conscience."
"Do you really think I'm beautiful?"
"I wouldn't have said it if I didn't think so. But I'm sure you don't need me to tell you, with your looks you must hear it a thousand times a day."
"That almost sounds like a pick-up line ... but I still like hearing it." She laughed then she said, "So, what about Vicky? Are you two still an item?"
"No. We broke up after the party. How about you and Brad?"
"That's Chad and we've been on again off again for about a year now."
"So are you on again or off again right now?"
"That depends."
"On what?"
"On if something more exciting comes along."
"Let's see, I've sky dived before, and scuba dived, and last year I was in New Zealand and bungee jumped off a 150 foot bridge."
"What's bungee jump?" She asked.
"That's where you tie a big thick rubber band around your ankles and then jump off the top of a high bridge."
"No way," She laughed. "I think you're just trying to impress me."
"Is it working?"
She laughed, "Just the fact that you're trying to impress me impresses me."
"Good for me." I laughed along with her.
"You know," She said. "I'm not really surprised that you broke up with Vicky. I mean she is only a freshman after all."
"Uh-huh, and I'm not really that surprised that you're off again with Chad. He is only a Neanderthal after all."
That really got her to laughing. After she had settled down she said, "God, you really are funny. You know that?"
"Hey, more on the serious side, do you think you and I can do something sometime?" I asked.
"That depends."
"On what?"
"On what it is you'd like to do."
I laughed, "It doesn't take a doctored degree to figure out what I'd like to do, but I was thinking along the lines of maybe taking a boat over to Catalina Island and having dinner there, or if you prefer Mexican food, we could catch a charter flight down to Acapulco and dine there, or if it's sea foods that gets your juices flowing we could fly up to San Francisco and eat at Fisherman Warf."
There was a very long pause before she said, "You're serious aren't you?"
"Uh-huh."
"I'm not sure if my mom and dad would even let me go." Her voice sounded very disappointed.
"We wouldn't have to spend the night or anything. We could get to all those places in one day. You know, we could fly early Saturday morning, spend a glorious afternoon site-seeing, fine dining in the evening, and I could have you back on your doorstep by say, eleven or twelve that night."
"Gosh! It does sound exciting. I've never been to any of those places. Do you really think it would only take one day?" She was sounding more upbeat.
"Easy. Catalina is only about three hours away by boat, and San Francisco is only two hours by plane, and Acapulco ... maybe four hours by charted plane. Yeah, we could do it with time to spare."
"Goodness, I wouldn't even know which one to choose. They all sound so fabulous."
"So, don't choose." I offered. "Why not do all three. Of course there is one little problem."
"Problem?"
"Uh-huh, that would mean you'll have to date me at least three times."
I thought I heard a sigh of relief over the phone and then a little giggle before she said, "I hardly consider that a problem."
"Let me make it official then. Miss Clarity Eldon, would you do me the great honor of accompany me out on a date?"
All of a sudden I detected a little suspicion in her voice when she ask, "This is for real right? This isn't some kind of mean joke or anything right?"
"Clarity," I said softly. "I find you to be an extremely attractive young woman. And I did not add the adjective 'extremely' out of sheer habit. If anything, 'extremely' is far too inadequate a word to describe just how lovely you really are. I would be absolutely bursting with pride to have other men see you on my arm with so much envy in their eyes. No, Clarity this is not a joke. This is for real. Will you go out with me?"
"Yes!!!" She almost screamed that single word out.
"Thank you. Why don't you have a talk with your parents if you feel it necessary and I'll give you a call on Friday right around this same time."
"Not till Friday? Can't we see each other before that?"
"It's already Wednesday. I wanted to give you a little time to talk to your parents and..."
"I don't need to talk to them. After all I'm almost sixteen. Can't we go out and get a Coke or something tomorrow after school?"
"I'd like that but I'm not sure yet. I'll try. How about either I meet you after school right out front or if I can't make it I'll call you at home at around four thirty."
"Will you be driving the Ferrari? Heather told me you own a Ferrari."
"If I can make it I'll drive the Ferrari." I assured her.
"Ah, Jimmy? Are you rich or something?"
"Or something," I laughed and then I said, "Well, I've really got to get going now Clarity. Thanks for agreeing to go out with me."
"Can't we talk for just a little bit longer?"
"Believe me I'd really love to, but I truly do need to get going."
"Okay. Thanks Jimmy. I'm really, really glad you called."
"Yeah, me too. Bye Clarity."
"Bye Jimmy. See you tomorrow."
"We'll see. Bye."
"Bye." I hung up.
About two minutes later Jen, Kim and Maria were standing directly in front of me. They were the only three currently at home because Dana and Candy were still at work and Pat had gone to pick Vicky up at the high school.
"Boy are you the ladies man or what?" Jen smirked.
I held both my hands out palms up in a questioning manner.
Kim laughed, "We were listening in on the upstairs extensions." And then in a
mock-loving voice, placing her hands over her heart and feigning lovesickness she said, "I find you to be an extremely attractive young woman. And I did not use the adjective 'extremely' out of sheer habit. If anything, 'extremely' is far too inadequate a word to describe just how lovely you really are."
"Oh, listening on the extensions huh." I said.
"You had her eating right out of your hand Sam." Jen said. "If she didn't wet her panties I'll eat them. You talked to her like a man does to a woman, and you suggested going places that only men and women go to, not out to some movie or the local malt shop like I'm sure she was expecting. You're good Sam. I'm impressed."
"I just hope it doesn't backfire." I said hoping I hadn't just put a noose around my neck. I was extremely worried about that driving lust I felt for Clarity forcing me into doing something that would blow up in my face.
Naturally as the rest of the troops showed up they were instantly informed, in minute detail I might add, of my phone conversation with Clarity. I took a ribbing for the rest of that evening.
Thursday afternoon found me sitting behind the wheel of the Ferrari parked in front of the Olympic high school.
Looking around I saw what was a typical scene at just about every high school in America letting out for the day; A line of bright yellow busses, a large lawn with lots of kids just hanging out together, some kids scrambling to climb into the family station wagons, and other kids hurrying off toward the student parking in search of their own cars.
I noticed Pat sitting in the parked Caddy waiting for Vicky and I waved to her. She waved back giving me a big smile.
Then I saw Clarity exit the building very anxiously looking around. When she finally spotted the Ferrari a big smile crossed her face and she began running toward the car, pausing only momentarily to turn and wave to a group of eight or nine girls that had exited the building with her. She was moving so quickly that I almost didn't have time to get out and hold the passenger door open for her.
I had noticed that most of the other girls were dressed in slacks and tops, but Clarity was wearing a skirt and blouse, and the skirt was short enough that it offered me a good view of her long shapely legs as it bunched up around her thighs when she slid into the car.
I closed the car door behind her and then just stood for a moment trying to ascertain how strong the lust drive was now that I was in Clarity's presence. It was strong, fortunately not as strong as it had been at the party, but strong enough. One consolation was that the feeling of control over the lust was strong as well, and I deemed that I and not it was in control.
When I climbed behind the wheel the smile on Clarity's face, as she ran her hand along the Ferrari's dashboard and said, "God! It's so beautiful!" obviously referring to the car, was as wide as the one worn by a kid in a candy store with a dollar bill clenched in his hand.
Then without pause, and seemingly without even taking a breath she said, "I'm so glad you could make it Jimmy. I told all my friends you were coming to pick me up. They didn't believe me but now they have too, right. I also told them about all the places you're going to take me. They didn't believe that either, but they'll have to believe that now too. God I'm so excited Jimmy. I broke up with Chad today ... for real and forever this time. God he's such a jerk! I think..."
"Whoa, slow down," I said as I fired up the engine, freeing the Webers to sing their special song and then pulled away from the curb, "You're talking a mile a minute. Not that I don't like hearing the sound of your voice I just don't want to miss anything."
She laughed. "I'm sorry. I'm just so excited. I can hardly believe it."
"So, where would you like to get that Coke at?" I asked.
"There's an A&W drive-in just around the corner where a lot of the kids hang out sometimes. Let's go there. Just turn right at the next light. You can't miss it." She said happily.
The A&W was a true drive-in with slots for cars to park, but instead of girls on roller skates taking orders there were speakers mounted on poles next to each parking space that were used to place orders then when the order was ready someone would bring it out and collect the money.
We each ordered a root beer, burger and fries then sat making small talk while eating. Occasionally Clarity would wave or say hello to someone she knew and a couple of girls even came over and spoke with Clarity briefly while admiring the Ferrari. Clarity made sure she mentioned the San Francisco and Mexico trip during that short conversation with her girlfriends. The entire time we were at the drive-in Clarity seemed to be in seventh heaven and as bubbly as anyone I'd ever seen, she fawned over me incessantly and talked almost constantly about everything and anything. She also made sure we hung around until she became satisfied that enough of her classmates had seen us together before telling me she was finished with her burger and we could leave.
