"Wil!" "You're home!"

Henna and Marin ran across the yard and threw themselves in their husband's arms.

"Where's the other one, What's-Her-Name?"

"Inside with your new baby daughter." Marin said

"I bet she's not happy about that."

"She won't admit it. We kid her that, because of all of your seed that that she swallowed, her little Wilhanina will be a great shield maiden one day."

"Wilhanina?"

"She insisted." Henna said.

Wilhan rolled his eyes.

They went into the house and found Freyna breastfeeding her two month old baby.

Wilhan kissed her and looked at the babe. "She's beautiful, just like her mother. You did well, my wife. Are you well?"

"Yes, very, but I'm afraid that I may not be as snug a fit for you as before."

"I'm told that it will be back to normal if I stay out of it for a full year."

"Don't you dare! I want you inside of me as soon as you get cleaned up; you smell like a sweaty horse..." she made a show of sniffing him, "that has been making love to a goat."

Wilhan couldn't argue with that. He had been riding for days and he had stopped at the edge of the farm to look over some of the livestock.

All three of the women had been without their man for several months, so before he was even dry from his bath Wilhan found three backsides with moist fuzzy slits staring him in the face.

"What's this?"

"We couldn't decide on who got you first. This is a compromise." Marin said.

Wilhan had gone without a woman for the whole time that he was gone, less out of a desire to be faithful to his wives -- which was not something that was expected of warriors off fighting -- but from that fact that he preferred willing partners, and the strain of command had his mind on more pressing matters. But he had been thinking about it for the last two days so it didn't take long for his cock to get hard at the sight.

He went from one wife to the next without stopping -- thrusting for a while and then moving on. Henna was in the middle and soon found that she was getting twice as much attention as the other because he went from left to right and then right to left and back again. Henna's pussy was also the most sensitive to his cock, even after having a baby, so she reached her peak first and collapsed down onto the bed; that took her out of the lineup.

When he was close to his climax Freyna said, "Finish in Marin. It's her turn to get pregnant."

Henna was recovered by then, and quick to get between Marin's legs to lick her clean, but rather than swallow she took her reward to Marin's lips and shared it with her in a kiss. "So that the baby can be strong." they giggled.

"They've been between each other's legs constantly while you were gone. Henna even carved a cock out of an elm branch. But I've been saving myself for you." Freyna said, as if it somehow made her superior to the other two.

"You saved yourself because your pussy was broken." Henna retorted.

"Well, there was that." Freyna said as went to her knees to suck Wilhan's dripping cock clean. "My next baby will be a boy. This one was a girl because I sucked your spend out of them. Next time I'm going to get it all straight from you ... twice a day."

Rather than sell his many slaves, Wilhan leased many of them out to families who had lost sons and farm workers; they needed help with harvest and spring planting. A large portion went to the 'Fexmark' where they cleared land all winter and planted in the spring. The share of crops north of the ridge from leasing the slaves out helped feed those down south over the winter. The following summer many of the new slaves were taken up river from the Fexmark to begin clearing the land and rebuilding the castle in the new 'Wilmark.'

Wilhan used the female slaves and livestock he had captured as enticement for settlers; for every unmarried warrior that moved to the Wilmark and pledged himself to Wilhan above clan and family, he would be given land, a cow and a wife -- while supplies lasted. The influx of slaves into the upper territories meant that the rich families got richer, but the younger sons of the yeomen class were still where they always had been, stuck working the family farm for their eldest brothers. Wilhan provided an opportunity for their future. Similar provisions were made for widows.

The slaves, the remnants of Wilhan's army, and the new men coming down, quickly developed the land, and within five years Wilhan had a thriving farm community around his rebuilt castle. He then sold Lorgar's farm to sever all ties to the clan.

The dragon creatures were fairly common in the southern borderlands and seemed to be in direct competition with bears. They were not above killing livestock so Wilhan kept busy with dragon hunts. His sword was the only thing that could easily kill one of the beasts. As a result of those hunts, Wilhan began presenting his best and most trusted warriors with dragonscale armor as a reward and mark of distinction.

Tarmiz and Ranis both married rich young women shortly after the war; marriages Lord Edbil had a part in since one was his daughter and the other was his niece.

Ulius was able to win over both Toria and her grandfather, ... after Edbil had a discussion with the old man and pointed out how much money young Ulius had as a result of the war and how much he stood to gain from his position with the new marklord.

Tobsil's farm was large and prosperous, and because of his role in helping Wilhan organize the frontier army and everything that followed, he was the defacto leader of the frontier farmers in the west. He grew rich from all of the grain and cheese that his sons bought from him. It was a formality since Fexrem would inherit the farm, but the money was needed to make improvements. Improvements enabled Tobsil to sell more grain, cheese, and livestock to his sons. That made him more money for more expansion, and Tobsil had never been one to pass up an opportunity.

Once he had enough men settled to defend the community against raiders from across the river, Wilhan took an armed trading/exploring expedition up river to find out about his neighbors. He knew from the little contact with men coming downriver to trade that they were not Nwevii, and he didn't want enemies on two sides of him right then.

Above the rapids, the Aydren River calmed down and wound through a wide valley between mountain ranges. To the east were rolling hills rising to the moderate heights of the western range that bordered Juxan territory. To the west of the valley, the mountains rose up quickly and were snowcapped year round. Juxan tribesmen had never pushed far into the low mountains, so they hadn't come into contact, or conflict, with the people that lived on the other side.

The expedition soon came face to face with a small army that was easily large enough to defeat them. Wilhan didn't have a great gift for diplomacy, but to make up for that fact, he had brought skilled traders along, men who had been downriver trading with the Nwevii, Helvezii, and others. He rode forward a short distances to show that he wanted to talk, not fight.

The warriors facing Wilhan had dark hair, brown for the most part but some black. They didn't speak a dialect of the Werimar language shared by light-haired tribes of the north -- the Juxan, the Sarvalk, the Helvezi, and others -- nor was it a dialect of Nwevian, a people who had originated in the west. These people called themselves 'Aron.' The two parties came to an understanding rather quickly for not understanding one another well. Five men could proceed to the Aron camp.

Wilhan was introduced to the Aron leader, Ziridav. Wilhan's traders presented the man with gifts -- more than Wilhan thought necessary, but he trusted his men. Ziridav seemed to be open to trading, but at some later date, and he made it clear that Wilhan would have to remove his men from Aron territory immediately. Wilhan agreed to the request since he had no reason not to and no desire to provoke a neighbor.

The expedition was escorted to what the Aroni decided was the edge of their territory. Wilhan had his men construct a cairn of large rocks to mark the boundary.

Two weeks after his return, a small trade delegation of Aroni arrived at the castle. With them was a boy of about sixteen named Stivic who the delegates said was Ziridav's son. He was there for an ambassadorial hostage trade -- as a show of good faith and to learn the language.

Wilhan was in a spot since he had no son old enough to trade, and it would have been an insult to Ziridav to send someone not of noble blood. Ulius understood that.

"Wilhan, I should be the one to go. They will accept your brother-in-law."

"Ziridav will, but Toria, Marin, and Freyna won't, especially if you get killed."

"Toria is busy with the baby, and it will do me good to get away for a few months. This is important. She will understand."

Reluctantly, Wilhan agreed to let Ulius go, knowing that he would probably pay for the decision. He hoped that the price would not be too high or too soon in coming. He sent one of his trader's sons along, a boy named Hanen, because Wilhan knew there was no way that Ulius could be a long-term ambassador. Stivic had a man with him as well, so sending a hostage and a servant/companion wouldn't raise any concern with Ziridav.

Trade looked promising, in that the Aroni seemed to have plenty of iron as well as some mined silver and gold. Wilhan's craftsman from Harvik had found clay deposits that made fine pottery, and that along with honey, beeswax, copper, and bronze, were the main things that the Wilmark could offer at that time. It was not much, but it was enough to ensure a friendly border.

Once the language barrier was broken, Stivic explained that his father was a clan chief, and as Stivic was pressed for information about his tribe Wilhan found out that Aron legends told that the tribe had once been a great people who lived along the river, and that Wilhan now lived in one of their castles.

When asked about his tribe's relationship with the Nwevii, Stivic said with pride, "They, like others before, tried to come in and kill us, but our magic is too powerful. We beat them off so now they leave us alone. We trade with them on the other side of the river, but now you put a stop to that so we trade with you."

"If your magic is so powerful why don't your people come out of the valley?" Wilhan asked him.

"Black magic caused us to fight amongst ourselves down here. It nearly destroyed us. The Upper Valley is our ancestral homeland. It is where we are strong. It is said that we are cursed below the rapids."

Juxan stories and songs told that evil spirits had forced them out of Werimar, but that move was recent enough that some people still knew the truth. Hunger and pressure from other tribes had pushed them out.

One day Stivic got a good look at Wilhan's sword and asked about its origin. When he got the answer he proudly said, "We make magic swords with a ring for a pommel," and then added, "but our legends tell of a different kind of ring sword that brought both freedom and destruction to our people when we lived here below the rapids."

"What can your magic swords do?" Wilhan asked.

"They bring good luck in battle and do not break. Some are said to bring wealth, or love."

Just like the Aron swords Stivic described, almost every good Juxan sword was said to be magical, but no swordsmith ever claimed to put magic into the metal; that was something that the gods did during the forging process or during battle. Wilhan showed Stivic that Oakheart could produce light to prove it had true magic in it. The young man had already heard the stories of it being the only sword that could easily kill a dragon, so he believed that Wilhan was chosen by the gods to find the ancient sword and live in the castle. Wilhan's success in battle simply confirmed it.

Wilhan didn't have the time that Stivic did to learn a new language, but he had applied himself and could get by speaking Aron to the boy. Stivic stayed with Wilhan for three years learning the customs and language, and he became somewhat of an older brother to Wilhan's children. Wilhan taught him swordsmanship during that time.

Ulius only lasted one year with the Aroni before domestic pressures forced Wilhan to recall him. Another man was sent in his place, but Hanen stayed for the entire time. By then trade back and forth between Wilmark and Ziridav's clan was well established.

Engruth had stepped down once it was certain that Ruther had enough support to be voted clan chief. Further north word was that Arfald was getting close to stepping down for Arnek, who had gone on to subjugate most of the Sarvalki through a combination of force and diplomacy.

Ruther wanted to open trade with the Aroni once he found out that there was a pass through the mountains that led from Elksen territory into the upper Aydren Valley. He was doing all that he could to stay on good terms with Fexrem and Wilhan because his clan territory stood between the two rivermarks and the rest of the tribe, and he knew that he stood to make a good profit as a middleman on those trade routes.

After three years, it was time for Stivic to go home and be initiated as a warrior. He asked Wilhan to accompany him as his sponsor and trainer. It was a great honor because Stivic was the son of a headman. Usually such an honor was given to an uncle or a great warrior who had accepted responsibility of training a boy.

Wilhan Dragonslayer a Ring Sword SagaChapter 7

Each night as the column proceeded towards the river, Wilhan and his men tried to train the others in the new tactics. Some were willing but most weren't. The attempt did enable Wilhan to separate out a few specialty squads, and most of the warriors did see the value in holding the shield line together during the initial charge, or at least they said they did when Lord Edbil, who was nominally in charge of the small army, announced that no one was allowed to go to the aid of any man who...

Wilhan Dragonslayer a Ring Sword SagaChapter 3

The spring festival on the Juxan southern frontier was unusual that year because there were two brides below the customary age when women in the tribe married. Ethanda was one, and a girl of high birth named Henna was the second. Women of the tribe rarely married until they were twenty or older. It was thought that big strong women gave birth to big strong warriors. Men were similarly constrained by their society. They could not go to war until they were at least eighteen, and they rarely...

Freyna recognized the people coming down the lane and yelled out, "Wil, people are coming. You should start charging to train here." "What helps them helps us. Don't you like company?" he yelled back. She harrumphed and walked into the house to tell the other women that there would be more mouths to feed. "Jorna, good to see you. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Wilhan said when the people got closer. "These are my boys, Pawli and Sven. Pawli's about ready to go out in the world...

Wilhan Dragonslayer a Ring Sword SagaChapter 5

Wilhan and his two brides had the use of a private townhouse for a few days; neither woman wanted her honeymoon to be in Lorgar's house. The house in question belonged to a cousin of Marin's whom she barely knew. It was to there they went soon after Grunden was removed from the party. Marin was eager to find out if what Ethanda said was true. Henna, on the other hand, was resigned to her fate; she could do without a man rutting in her and causing her pain again, but she had agreed to the...

Second Time Through Book IIChapter 50 The Ring and the Sword

I was sitting on the deck, with my legs spread, holding the injured woman's head in my lap. Kip had also been resting, leaning back on his hands as he rested. So neither of us could reach our weapons quickly enough to defend ourselves. I debated for only a millisecond before searching out what Anna had thought was their motor cortex and tweaking it slightly. The female trooper immediately dropped her sword, collapsing to the deck beside me. "It must have been the adrenalin," I thought as...

James Brahney listened intently as the Captain lectured on the concept of rapid intervention teams, an idea long overdue in the fire service. The roll of the four man team’s in protecting their brother firefighters at major incidents, the equipment the R.I.T. team would carry and the changes in run assignments when the new OSHA mandated policy was put into effect, were all covered in depth. Jim tried to memorize every word, no matter how trivial. In one week, He and his company would be filling...

The Sword of Noatlag

I stood up so I could get a better look around my new home. It was a dark purple mist that was behind something glass looking, while the floor was a deep navy blue. The walls domed up, into a central point easily a hundred feet above my head. To my left was a giant projection, showing the inside of a large green tent. Directly in front of the camera was a table a sandwich and some papers on it. The camera moved, and a hand reached out from the camera and picked up a new pen to the camera's...

The Legend Of Sword And Mountain

Els looked up and then up some more, "This isn't a country! It's a mountain range cleverly disguised as a forest." The little dwarf guiding their horses turned his head slightly--the gesture politely acknowledged Els's words. The dwarf did not speak, which made learning his body language pivotal to their conversations. "I did not expect to be sent to Mai as my first service to the Goddess." In her bed at Gallis, Els held on to the hope of a punitive expedition into Hokubu for the...

Blood Sword by Eddie Glover Brenlan felt the familiar twinge in his body. He reached for the sword he'd brought back from the east, the sword to which he was cursed. "That's a hell of a sword!", the bartender whistled in admiration. Brenalan turned with a frown, "You have no idea of it's strangeness or powers my friend.". He could now feel the sword's pull and the beginnings of his own change. "Help!", a woman screamed from outside. "Damn! It's about time I was...

The Sword

I decided to take this shortcut I had found toward the end of last year. It was through this alley half a block from my apartment, and it cut down the time to get to school easily by ten minutes, making my tardiness not seem so bad. As I sprinted through the alley with my backpack bouncing awkwardly against my back, I tripped over a hard, metal object that cut through my shoe and went into my foot, leaving a small gash where it entered. A little blood dripped out, but it wasn't too bad. I...

"Please, don't stop on my account," Gryffindor's ghost implored. "Continue. Pretend I'm not here." We arose before dawn; washed, dressed and had a quick breakfast. The stable was quiet, so we didn't have any interruptions to get our horses ready for the day's travel. Off in the distance I could barely make out a group of three barns flanking a house. The barns were painted a faded red and the house was whitewashed. As we skirted around a plowed field that seemed to be growing wheat, I noticed that the main house was much larger than Kira's. This one also had a small shed that was just off to the east and one just off to the west of the main house with the main house facing us to the south. For reference directions I was using earth standard. I know that...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 9 Rabbit season

I called to the ladies in the house to come out and assist the slaver with the sliced leg and bring some rawhide to tie up the one that was knocked out. The rest I was sure were dead or almost dead. Kira brought me my scabbard and some bread. I pointed to the unconscious slaver; "Thanks. Make sure that you tie his wrists and his ankles tightly, if he starts to wake let me know if you haven't finished tying him up yet." I walked over to the slaver with the massive gash across his left leg....

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 44 Nobility equals privilege

"What about my sword? It cuts through everything and it glows." "If you say so, My Lord, but your sword doesn't glow. It is you that glows," Chandra responded. She thought for a second and then continued, "Does your sword cut through everything or do you enhance your strength to cut through your target?" I thought about that. She was probably right on that one she knew more about magic than I did. I enhanced my strength whenever I fought. Come to think of it, I enhanced my stamina...

Himura BattousaiChapter 140 Flame of a DoubleEdged Sword

(Leaves drift over the battlefield as Kenshin stands at the ready.) Houji (thinking): He... he stood up. No... calm down, all he's doing is standing. It's highly doubtful he still has the strength to use the succession technique Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki. The burns of the Homura Dana and the explosion of the Guren Kaina... it's obvious he won't survive. Lord Shishio is too strong for him... And yet... this chill! this unease! this fear! (Kenshin roars, sending out a blast of ki that...

Sword Saint Book Two IncompleteChapter 2 Home Sweet Home

“My Lord, it is time to wake up.” Bah. Chandra’s hair was already brushed with a freshly washed face, my student bubbled with anticipation for today’s journey, “Did you order breakfast for us?” She was ready to go home. “Yes, My Lord, we are all waiting on you.” She gave me a devilish smile. It seemed that one of us had a very good night’s sleep. “Fine, let me wash and I’ll meet you down stairs.” I took the puzzle box with me, I wasn’t about to let it disappear during my ablutions or...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 42 Hello and goodbye

I went out of my way to act like nothing happened the night before with Chandra. She mostly relaxed during breakfast and seemed to let go my teasing her from the previous night until I told her that I needed to check her wounds. She blanched at that. I led her into the carriage and pulled the curtains closed. I peeled the bandage off her face first. It looked like a week old scratch that so far had healed cleanly. I readied one of the bandages that she had brought and replaced the dressing...

Josekis Journeys Sword Brother Ch 05

‘What just happened?’ Raphen demanded. ‘He shot Ima?’ I spoke without thinking and it sounded more like a question. I couldn’t believe what had just happened. Tanthor stood and just looked on in shock for a second before rushing to Imanja’s side. ‘Hou Raphaen.’ Red Hawk spoke, his voice as calm now as if he was discussing the weather. ‘What happened, Red Hawk?’ Raphen demanded. ‘I told two girls of My camp to come home.’ Red Hawk stated. ‘Imanja tried to stop me. I acted as any Gorean Man...

Sword Saint Book Two IncompleteChapter 7 I am

“You are a Sword Saint.” Sister Emily accused me. I am? “I was accused of being one when I first arrived by two old men on a porch, I didn’t know what one was but it sounded right whereas being called a Wizard Lord didn’t feel right.” “I could be. It sounds right, but I don’t know what one is. Remember, I am still new here and not all that familiar with the religions on this world. Hell, I wasn’t even all that familiar with the religions on my world. Just the basics. And I am definitely...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 22 Consequences

"I may not." The Arbiter said sadly. I just stared at her, incredulous. "Then I will." I sheathed my sword and knelt beside the fallen priestess, her hands were covering the wound over her stomach. There was blood pooling from her stomach, and I could see the pain that she was in. I placed my hands on her blood soaked ones and stared into her eyes. "Let me heal you." She shook her head no. "There is no shame in losing, just in giving up without trying. Let me heal you, Priestess of...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 34 She hates me she hates me not

I was glad of the short ride back. The same soldier that brought me the horse met me when I returned. He asked solicitously about my ride, not even mentioning the different livery of the horse. "I'll leave it up to you to return this horse and get yours back. Oh, and soldier, thank him for me would you. I was not in the best of tempers when I left." "Yes, Milord," the soldier responded and mounted the horse that I just left. I walked around the house to the exercise yard and knelt,...

Himura Battousia Book 2 Kenshins PastPart 244 Attacking Sword

On a cold, cold snowy day, two emotions were frozen. Sorrow--and hatred. Now that fifteen years have passed, those two emotions, still frozen, lie beneath one smiling face-- (Kenshin and Enishi cross swords.) Enishi (sinking into a low stance): Let's do this, Battousai! Sanosuke: Low stance-- Megumi: He's going into the Kofuku? Watoujutsu Senran Tousei! (Kenshin dodges and parries a storm of blows.) Kaoru: Kenshin! (Enishi drives Kenshin back towards the treeline.) Enishi: Die,...

A Life in the ServiceChapter 14 Sword Strike

After a year leading my company through several battles on several worlds and attending the six month Advanced Officer School, I was going back to the Swords. I walked off the shuttle and glanced at the top sergeant that came to attention, “Welcome back Major.” I nodded and glanced around again before starting towards the far terminal doorway, “I did not get a briefing packet. Who is in command now?” The sergeant fell in beside me, “Colonel Winston.” I nodded and looked at the man beside...

Sex Sword and Sorcery Prologue The Demons Manor

Without sight, she started to scan the area with her hearing. Somewhere there was the sounds of logs popping from a fire, but she wasn’t close enough to feel it’s warmth. She couldn’t hear birds or night time bugs, so she had to be inside. This was confirmed when from behind her she hear sharp steps on stone, coming closer and louder until they stopped. She heard metal ringing, keys most likely, and soon a heavy door opened and the steps moved into Gwenive's room. “You are awake.” A woman’s...

Shemale on Male Never understimate an Eredar with a massive sword

Hope you enjoy. Dafomir was certainly one of the unlucky members of the Horde, having been chosen to participate in the campaign on Argus it meant certain death for many. He had been chosen however because he was one of the strongest Blood Elven paladins the Horde had. Dafomir had a lot of confidence in his abilities though and the possiblity that he could die here hadn't even entered his mind, thinking that as long as his leaders strategised properly there was no way he could be taken down...

Bk 1 Ch 7 The Carrot and The Sword

“What is it, Sigurd?” “My Lord,” he responded, turning towards me. He must surely have seen and heard what had just transpired, but he made no mention of it. He and I often disagreed on things, but I could not have asked for a better subordinate. “My Lord, we are clearing the last few houses now. Torstein reports success on the beach, and nobody made it past our archers. What are your orders?” “Finish clearing the houses, but don’t worry about looting the place just yet. We’re...

The Penis Mightier than the Sword

Introduction: Compulsory bare back by law. The Penis Mightier than the Sword? To mis quote Cardinal Richlieu. But it makes a interesting title. Many years ago when East Virginia became Virginia there was an administrative error and Maidstone County, East Virginia, was left off the list of counties in the new state. They only realised this when the old county records were computerised. Roy Hanks, the local Sheriff takes up the story. Ten years ago we found we found Maidstone County was not...

Sword Saint Book Two IncompleteChapter 10 The king and I

Celia’s infection cleared up completely a week before we entered the capitol. The scars she wouldn’t let me see but Chandra assured me that they were slowly fading. I knew that I couldn’t wait much longer for a; very long, very hot bath. It had been four days since my last one at a small town’s inn. According to Allard’s writ, he was supposed to take us straight away to the king, but since we didn’t enter the city until after nightfall, he agreed that we could stay at my house until we were...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 8 Shootout at the OK corral

"Have you told Kira yet?" "She knows." "Have you sent someone to the other steads to warn them of the slavers?" Kira's grandmother just looked at me like I was an idiot. "Mine was the last one attacked, this was a coordinated attack. My granddaughter and I are the only ones left that I can see. If any of the other girls are alive they aren't on their farms." "Can you tell where they are?" "No. I do know that the slavers will be back here soon, and they will come as a group...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 14 Howdy Mr what a big sword you have

We rode at a much faster pace for the remainder of the day. The breaks were shorter, and the time spent walking was cut in half. No complaints came from the girl or from the horses. I still made her keep up her exercises, both mental and physical, for the journey. It was getting to be late afternoon when I noticed that the farms started getting closer together. The terrain was rolling and lush. We did pass one older man on the road, but he scurried off the road and hid before we approached,...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 16 Stormtroopers are your friends

Because of our increased activity, I made sure that we ate very well. This did have a side effect of consuming our food all that much quicker. To alleviate this, whenever we came near a farmer's cart I tried to buy anything that was edible and portable. The farmers, who historically were always short on coin, were ecstatic to sell to me. Since we usually only bought a couple of apples or pears off a cart full of them, we pretty much paid for a bushel and just received the top couple of...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 20 Miss Loris

As soon as we were clear of town I picked up our pace. Unfortunately Orlanth was not the best rider, even with instruction. On top of that, Juniper was fast; I had to make sure that we didn't end up miles ahead of the kids without even trying. Orlanth's book was wrapped up and packed on an extra horse that the stable master provided me. The new horse seemed to be more of a plow horse than a riding horse. She did occasionally want to move slower than a brisk walk; otherwise she did not have...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 48 Sorry about your garden

There was a rude pounding on my door, the sun had not even crested the horizon yet. "Who is it and what do you want?" I called from my bed while I wiped the sleep from my eyes. "Damn your eyes man! What did you do to my garden?" Shouted an inconsolable Lord Grant. I dressed and loosened my sword before opening the door. The effete Lord Grant was fuming. His face was flushed with rage, I thought that he was about to attack me with the defoliated twig in his hand. I saw Chandra peek out...

Sword Saint a New StartChapter 32 Forgiveness

I stopped partway to Duke Dwayne's estates for a chance to regroup. I looped the reins over a tree branch and knelt. I cried for a few minutes before I settled down. The anger had kept me sane enough to do what I had to do. Now that it was gone, my actions left an open wound. I didn't like it. I didn't have to like it. I knew that I had little choice in the matter. Still on my knees, exhausted from my crying, I prayed. Bright Lady, please forgive me. I felt her sad smile while her...
