Ms. Tanner went behind her desk and wrote out a pass for Jay. I was feeling real bad for him and Ms. Tanner looked very upset about it too.
“Jay, take this and go see the nurse. Let me send someone else with you.”
“I’ll go!” I said raising my hand. “We’re partners in The Program anyway.”
“Would you like to accompany Jay, Susan?”
“He’s my responsibility.”
“And a good job you’ve done so far.” She was being sarcastic and that was rude of her. But I still wanted to go with Jay.
“We have different first period classes. I couldn’t help it.” I said in my defense.
“Very well. Here’s a pass. Stay there until the nurse releases him, then accompany Jay back.”
“Thank you, Ms. Tanner.”
JASON
Two girls had asked me for an RR in the period between math and art. They were wearing cheerleader uniforms and I was trying to get to art fast only you have to stop for reasonable requests. What they asked seemed reasonable and I didn’t want to get into trouble for refusing, so I bent over for them. That’s when they each whacked me on my rear end at the same time. I was hoping she’d see it my way, but I don’t know why she would. Nobody ever gave her a hard time. Everyone loved Sue.
