"Don't you guys think there is some middle ground; something in between too laissez-faire and too strict?" Sarah asked.
"Absolutely!" Ellen said. "I think being understanding is between telling them they can and can't. I think if we try to understand the kids, their curiosity and their feelings, we can be accepting."
