You may start your own branching story so long as you address the following criteria:

1. Means

Define your power or ability. How does it work? What are its associated costs, weaknesses, or limitations? Are there any obvious variants of the power that could be interesting to explore?

2. Motive

What variant of the power will be used? Who (or what) wields this power? What does the wielder want that they do not have before the start of the story (or before they acquire their powers)?

3. Opportunity

What happens to give the wielder a chance to use their power? What special circumstances or challenges does the wielder face at the beginning of the story?

Thus, all stories should follow the same format for the first three chapters:

a first chapter detailing the power and any fun variants you can think of (the means) a second chapter detailing the wielder and what they want (the motive) a third chapter that introduces the story and gets the ball rolling (the opportunity)

Please give your means, motive, and opportunity some thought - we can do better than one-sentence answers.
