Kevin and Sinead walked up the long winding driveway of St.Birchwood's Monastery of Repentance holding hands and in silence.Each were locked in their own private thoughts of what lay ahead.What they had done had been done as a prank,which at the time had seemed funny,but neither of them could have foreseen the consquences of their actions and now found themselves with a choice of paying a very heavy penalty or submitting themselves to corporal punishment at the hands of the Nun's and Monk's of The Monastery of Repentance.

"I heard that they use canes on people in our case,probably like being back at school,just bend over and take it," Kevin replied trying to disguise his intrepidation.
"I was never caned at school,"Sinead said, "just sometimes the Nun's would use a school ruler on our hands".
"I got the cane at school,the Christian Brother's were always into caning naughty boys,"Kevin said as they arrived at a large heavy oak door and rang a bell at the side of the door.
A few moments passed before the door opened and a small,elderly Nun,in full habit of black veil,habit,white coif and sandals stood looking at them severely .
"Yes, what can I do for you,?" the Nun asked in a tone that was as severe as her appearance. The elderly Nun looked at Sinead and Kevin from toe to head with a look of disdain.
"I'm Sinead and this is Kevin,we have an appointment with the Abbot, " Sinead said.
This brought a slight smile to the haggard face of the Nun. "Ah,I see,well come in,come come!" .the Nun ushered them inside.
Sinead and Kevin were met with the sight of a long,bright corridor and both of them suddenly became aware of the austerity of the place when the Nun slammed the door shut and locked the door with a heavy bolt.
"Come along,the Abbot is very busy and must not be kept waiting," the Nun said impatiently.
Sinead and Kevin were led along the corridor.As they followed the Nun,both of them became aware of a sound from a one of the doors off the corridor,it was clear to them both that someone was being punished inside one of the room,both Kevin and Sinead placed their hands on their bottoms as they followed the Nun along a network of corridors before finally stopping outside a door with a large,brass nameplate which read,
REVEREND ABBOT BENEDICTICUS ,BA,MA,DD,PHD, MASTER .
"You will sit here," the Nun said pointing to a long church pew which ran along the wall outside of the Abbot's room, "You will be called shortly", the Nun finished,before walking quickly back along the corridor.
"Did you hear that sound,back there?,"Kevin asked.
"Fuck,yeah,what the fuck was going on;was someone being slapped?" Sinead inquired.
"Think so,must have been really painful," kevin said.
Before Sinead could say anything else,the door to the room opened and a girl,aged about 20 came out,she was rubbing her bottom and had clearly been crying.The girl looked at Sinead and Kevin with a look of embarrassment ,and hurried down the corridor still rubbing her jean's clad bottom.
Sinead and Kevin exchanged glances which were filled with worry and before they could discuss what they had seen a very fat,elderly Monk wearing a long black,woolen habit and cowl appeared at the door and said with a smile which read satisfaction,"Ah,Sinead and Kevin,I presume?"
