"What the hell happened to you", said Mary. "Fell down the stairs, then
walked into a door", replied Sue. Sue had her arm in a plaster, and a black
eye, Mary was lying on the settee with a hot water bottle across her stomach.
"Period pains bad again love"Said Sue, "Yeah, I take it that bastard Richard
has clattered you again" said Mary. "Yes, its my own fault, I keep on
shouting at him when I feel down", replied Sue. "Its not your fault, you can't
help having P.M.T., CAN YOU?"? said Mary. "No it's alright for them, they
wouldn't like it if they had half of our problems, I wish I was a man, life
would be easier wouldn't it".
Sue walked over to the settee, and sat on the arm, gently brushing Marys
forehead, she said "look when your over this we can have a girls night out,
just the two of us, they do it often enough, so we can as well". "Yes the
trouble is that he reckons that if I get pregnant, the problem will go away, he
thinks that gives him an excuse to have his end away when he comes home
drunk, wham thank you mam, not even a bam, and he's asleep" answered
Mary. "I get told the same thing, and Richard is every bit as thoughtless".
Richard was in the Pub with Marys husband Tom, they were both getting
well, and truly ratted, both had got to the depressed stage, and were
bemoaning the way that they could never get their women to appreciate them,
"I just don't understand them", said Tom. "Just as well, I don't think they
understand themselves, I mean, one minute they're all over you, the next
your a fucking self centred bastard, then you knacker yourself up shagging
them silly, and what do get", Richard went on in a higher pitched voice,
"You don't care about me, straight in, no foreplay", he dropped his voice
again, "I mean was that all about? They can just lie there, and enjoy it, or
think of England, England did you see that crap performance the other night".
Back at Marys house the two women were fed up with waiting for their
two drunken husbands to return home, Mary was feeling better, than she had
for a while, "I know", said Mary "We can have a drink as well", "I didn't
think he had any drink in the house, in case his parents found out", said Sue.
"He doesn't, he may be a two faced bastard, but he's really scared of his
Mother, she doesn't even think that he knows what alcohol is, let alone drink
it, I won a bottle of wine, at that garden party, you know the one with that
strange man on the tombola, he actually came round to the house with the
prize, because I couldn't accept it from him there.
Mary, went upstairs to her bedroom, and collected the bottle from her
wardrobe, it was covered in dust, and the label was unreadable, she didn't
have a clue what it was, but they could only try it. Sue looked at the bottle
dubiously, "we can't drink that, we don't even know what it is", at this point
the phone rang. Mary went out and answered it.
"We're staying out for the night, see you some time tomorrow" said Tom,
Mary related the message to Sue, "that's it then, crack that bottle open, I
don't care what it is, I want some". Mary had no doubt that Sue meant it, and
got the cork screw out, putting it on the bottle she screwed it all the way in.
"Did you hear that", she asked Sue, "What", "I'm sure I heard someone go
OW", "I didn't hear anything". Mary pushed the arms of the corkscrew
down, and there was, a whooshing sound, as the cork flew out, and a gas
erupted from the bottle. Strangely it didn't disperse, but seemed to gather into
a cloud away from the bottle. Both women watched, mouths open, unable to
utter a sound, as it changed into the most handsome man either had ever seen.
He was however wearing a gold trimmed, red sari, which looked ludicrous
on him. "I am Gjinn, latterly chief eunuch to the grande vizier". He looked at
the two speechless women, and realising that they were not going to reply,
looked around the room. "Thank you for saving me, pray tell what year is
this". "1999". "Dear, dear, me, I've been locked in that bottle for hundreds
of years, well on, and off come to think of it, ah yes it's all coming back
now".
"Who the, what the, fuck are you", said Mary. "I'm what you would call,
er oh yes, a genie", said Gjinn. "Does that mean we get three wishes", asked
Sue. "Well, that depends, on what you ask for", "can we think about it", said
Sue. "By all means, time is standing still for everyone else at the moment",
replied Gjinn. He decided to carry on and tell them his story, they weren't
really listening, as he rambled on. I was once a Prince, in the Ottoman
empire, but as I was not first born, the chances were that I would not stay
alive for long. My mother sent me to India, where I was abducted by a
strange cult, who removed my manly parts, and sold me into slavery with the
grande vizier, to look after his Harem. He was a great wizard, but had a
terrible temper, he blamed me, when wife number 27 got pregnant, and
banished me to this bottle, he got it wrong though, he transferred most of his
magic to me.
"Right" said Mary, "we have decided, and written down what we want,
we have a bonus for you as well". Gjinn looked at the piece of paper, and his
face brightened, "are you sure?, I can do this, but only because of the last
clause". "Yes we're very sure", the women answered in unison.
Tom, and Richard returned to the house, the night had been cold, for
some reason no one would give them a lift, and no taxi's were available.
They seemed to have become sober by the time they reached the house.
"Yeah keep them pregnant, and bare footed, that way they'll love you more"
said Richard as he entered the house. He saw Gjinn, and stopped in his
tracks, Tom walked into him, and as he was about to say something he also
saw Gjinn, "Who the fuck are you, piss off before I clatter you", said
Richard. Tom slammed the door shut, he hadn't meant to, he had intended to
boot the guy as he went out. Gjinn just smiled, and walked into the front
room, the men followed him in, and looked at the two women.
Sue suddenly seemed to leave her body, and floated over to Mary, where
she picked up a package, from out of her body, as she walked over towards
Tom, he felt as though he was being dragged out of his body, he looked
around, only to see his amazed face looking at him, inexorably he was
dragged towards Sue. As they met Sue handed him the two parcels, one was
marked P.M.T, the other Period Pain, he was unable to let them go, and
watched in dismay, as Sue walked past him, and settled in to his body, his
body seemed to come to life, and walked over to Mary. "Sue"? Said Mary,
Tom smiled at her, and nodded. Tom suddenly found himself being sucked
into Sues body, and was able to move and talk again. "You fucking witches
what have you done to me", Tom, now Sue screamed in his new high pitched
voice. He suddenly found he couldn't move, as Gjinn told him that his wife,
was not to behave like that. Richard found himself suddenly dragged out of
his body, and was being pulled towards the strange man wearing the red
dress, as he got close the man left his body, and handed him a package, with
the words, high sex drive, written on it. He was then in a body, wearing a
dress, and desperate to shag the first thing that moved, suddenly he was
sucked into the bottle, and the bottle disappeared, only to reappear 2002
years earlier, looking around, he discovered that he was surrounded by the

found that he had no option but to behave as Sue, no matter how hard he tried
to behave otherwise, and Richard expected him to be the perfect wife,
cooking, cleaning, acting as hostess to interminable parties, always having to
look gorgeous, and having to service an insatiable sex drive, although he/she
never orgasmed, and had to deal with P.M.T., and period pain.
Twelve months latter, Sue gave birth to triplets, a natural birth with no
medical intervention, the nurses couldn't understand why Richard was not
upset that she cursed Tom all the way through the births. Tom, and Mary
were God parents, before moving away with the biggest ever Lottery win,
and pregnancy did not solve the P.M.T., or period pain, and breast feeding
the triplets, as Richard had demanded. Sue also was destined to a long, and
not happy life.
