TV Guide Picks of the week:
Xena, Warrior Prince
As a result of all the body-swapping of last week's show, Xena, now inside the
body of Hercules, the son of Zeus; and Gabrielle, now occupying the body of her
former best friend and new husband Xena, walk off into the sunset as the series
comes to a joyous conclusion.
Next week, the spin-off series 'Joxerella and Ares' begins as the War God Ares,
stuck inside the mortal body of the klutzy Joxer, tries to date Gabrielle again,
not realizing that the former Joxer now resides within the beautiful bard's
form. Ancient Greece will never be the same!
NYPD Blue
Will Andy finally bare his beautiful new body to his un-switched partner Danny?
Last weeks hot kiss between them was just the beginning of their new
relationship! (Actor Dennis Frantz changes his name to Denise Frantz. An
interview with the hottest actor turned actress in Hollywood begins on page 12.)
Buffy, the Vampire
Buffy takes over the Agency that Angel started in Los Angeles now that she has
shifted into his immortal vampire body, but immediately crosses paths with
Cordelia who wants the old Angel back. Or to put it in her terms, "If someone
else had to become Angel, why not Zander... anyone but Buffy would have been
better!"
Angel, the Slayer
The first of a two-parter has Angel and the gang go after a gang of vampires who
swapped into human bodies during the shift and are setting a trap for their old
bodies so they can turn themselves back into vampires. But the former humans in
their bodies are too busy looking for blood at a blood bank to see the new
slayer in town. Will Angel slay or help the former humans or get caught in the
trap set by the ex-vampires? And we finally find out who REALLY shifted into
Willow's body during the shift and why he or she pretended to be the young witch
for so long!!!
Charmed
The three witches cast out during the shift into three male bodies cast a spell
to reclaim their true bodies. But can even their magic counter the effects of
the Great Shift???
Walker, Texas Ranger
On the first show since the great switch, Walker, shifted into the body of a
young woman clerk at headquarters must retrain in the martial arts from scratch
since his female form is quite different and his large breasts keep getting in
the way. Chuck Norris continues in the role of Walker, although his body is now
that of his wife.
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
Sabrina is grateful that the Great Shift did not affect witches like herself,
but she still must to explain to Harvey that his new female body just isn't her
type anymore and that she is now dating Valerie, the new star of the men's
football team.
The Drew Carey Show
Drew's adventures as a teenage actress trying to become a movie star continue
while his pals must deal with Mimi, still upset to be stuck in Drew's old body
and Kate who plans to try anorexia as a solution to her difficulties in dealing
with the body she inherited from Mimi.
Touched by an Angel
On a very special episode Monica must explain to a former beauty contestant how
her being shifted into the body of circus boy Geppo, the boy with the face of a
dog, is all a wonderful part of God's great plan.
The ABC Sunday Night Movie
"I Murdered My Wife When I Switched Into Her Lover's Body" A man claims the
Great Switch made him do it in this adaptation of John Grisham's first post-
shift crime novel based on a real murder case. See the article on Ms. Grisham on
how becoming a female has affected her writing on page 48.

Jeers...
...to the producers of "Frasier". They have written many jokes about switched
individuals, but expect us to believe that not one of the five main characters
swapped bodies with anyone after the great switch just because the five actors
happened to be among the lucky few who didn't swap in real life. Come on, guys,
NO real family came away unchanged in some way in real life. Maybe someone has
been pretending to be the father all this time or something. Just because you
lucked out and kept your talents intact is no reason not to reflect life
accurately and keep the show real.

...to the new Monday night sitcom "Twenty-First Century Turnabout" This updated
revival of a 1930's novel and movie is especially funny if you recall that the
two stars, Sharon Gless and John Shuck were originally cast as the body-swapped
couple in 1979 in a failed sitcom series, "Turnabout". It may have taken the
Great Shift to make this idea believable to most of America or it may be the
change in format from a sitcom to an hour-long drama. Perhaps it was the moments
that make NYPD Blue look tame. But we believe the fact that Gless, shifted in
real life into a handsome young male body, now plays the woman stuck in the body
of her husband and Shuck, shifted into a beautiful woman in her twenties after
the GS, plays the husband occupying his wife's body lends an air of gritty, yet
sexy realism to this timely new drama hit.
Upcoming Next Week:
We look at cartoons. Should the great shift be introduced or will it make gender
roles even more confusing to a new generation as children are born and grow up
after the shift and remain one gender for life? A panel of experts explores the
hot new topic even as the Simpsons undergo the Shift this week in the Sunday
cartoon series.
