Following is a little Christmas story for your enjoyment (hopefully). This story can be posted on Fictionmania and any other free site. Happy Holidays! SRU: All He Wants for Christmas By JDCopyhack Jeff Marsden shuffled through the mall, which bustled with holiday shoppers. It was Christmas Eve, and Jeff had just finished buying a gift for his mother when he decided to stop by Video Warehouse to check out the new PlayStation games. The store was packed, as was every other store in the mall, and Jeff accidentally bumped into Parker Wade, the quarterback of his high school football team. "Hey, watch where you're going, Pizza Face," the top jock said in mock anger. Clinging to his arm was Elizabeth Clarke, the head cheerleader, Jeff's neighbor, and Parker's latest conquest. "That's not nice, Parker," the pretty blonde said. "Say you're sorry and let's get out of here. I still have more shopping to do." "Sorry, dork," Parker said as he headed back out into the mall. "You coming Liz?" The girl looked after her boyfriend, and then turned back to Jeff. "I'm sorry, Jeff. Parker's not really a jerk, you just have to get to know him, that's all." "It's okay, Liz. I'm kinda used to it. Listen, you have a nice Christmas, okay?" "You too, Jeff. Remember, keep smiling." With that, the vision in blonde followed her boyfriend out into the mall where they disappeared into the crowd. Jeff returned to browsing the shelves, but was now distracted. He had lied to Liz. Parker's comment did hurt. Deeply. With a severe case of cystic acne, Jeff heard dozens of comments like that every day. Classmates taunted him often, and once, when he went away as part of a school convention, his roommates waited till he fell asleep then played "connect the dots" on his face, drawing a crude picture. While acne is a part of most every teenager's life, Jeff suffered from more than just a bad case of zits. He would develop large, painful cysts in the most obvious of places. They would swell for two weeks, oozing blood and puss, before subsiding, usually leaving a deep, visible scar in their place. And the condition wasn't confined to his face. His shoulders, arms, and back were also affected. The dermatologists tried numerous treatments, but only succeeded in offering temporary relief. Embarrassed at how he looked, Jeff retreated into himself. He would spend hours in his room, reading science fiction novels, playing video games, and exploring the Internet. He especially liked the chat rooms where he could meet others his age and not be afraid of how they might react to his looks. He made many friends, especially a girl named Angela. She was smart and funny, and seemed genuinely interested in him. They could chat for hours and e-mailed each other regularly. One day, she even sent him a photo and he couldn't believe how pretty she was. Jeff returned a photo of his own that he had scanned, but before doing so, he opened it in Photo Shop and removed the ugly blemishes. "Why couldn't I do this in real life," he grumbled before saving the new picture and sending it to his friend. To his delight, Angela wrote back and told him how cute she thought he was. No girl had ever called him cute before and for a brief moment, Jeff felt mildly triumphant. That was several weeks ago, before Jeff made the mistake of sending another, unaltered photo to Angela. He hadn't heard from her since, and any attempt to contact her was greeted with an "unknown user" message. Not finding any games of interest, Jeff headed back into the mall. Maybe he'd check out the comic book shop and see if they had the newest "Batman" title before heading back home and to the safe confines of his room. As he approached the shop, he noticed a new shop tucked in the corner across the way. Unlike the flashing neon of the comic shop, the new shop hung a simple wooden sign out front. It said: Spells R Us. "Must be a novelty shop," Jeff said to himself as he made his approach. When he entered the store, he expected to see shelves filled with fake vomit and screaming golf balls. Instead, he found countless rows of dusty wooden shelves stocked with hundreds of unusual artifacts. Nothing in the store appeared to be new, but each item was uniquely fascinating. There were gold medallions and silver coins with ancient writing on them. Vials filled with a rainbow of colors and several racks filled with what appeared to be Halloween costumes. "May I help you, young man?" Jeff turned around to see an old man with a long white beard wearing a tattered blue bathrobe. "I, um..." "Oh, Jeff it's you. Glad you could finally make it down this far into the mall." "But, how do you know my name." "Simple, I'm a wizard." "Um, yeah, right. Look, I gotta go." "What? You don't believe me?" "Well, no. I mean, there are no such things as wizards, except in storybooks." "I see, so I guess I need to perform some sort of magic trick to get you to believe, huh? Okay, so be it." With that, the wizard held out his right hand, muttered a few words, and POOF... a puff of black smoke billowed around his hand. When the smoke cleared, the wizard was holding a 20oz bottle of Diet Coke. "So, now do you believe me," he asked between sips. Jeff was startled, but couldn't deny what he had just witnessed. "H... h...how?" "Like I said, I'm a wizard. Now tell me, is there something in my store that interests you?" Jeff had little use for such junk, but he was curious. "Let me ask you, do you have a cure for this," he asked as he pointed to his pockmarked face. "Hmmm, I see. Have you tried Clearasil?" "That's it, I'm outta here," Jeff said storming toward the front door. "Jeff, wait, it's just that I'm a little out of touch with this sort of thing. Most people come in here looking for fame or fortune. Yours is a much more humble request. I'm not used to that." "Trust me, I've tried everything. The doctors have tried everything. Besides, now it's too late. Look at me, I am so damn ugly. No one wants to look at me." "I see, I may have just the thing." The wizard disappeared into the back room for several minutes. When he returned, he held a small tube of ointment in his hand. "Here, try this. Just apply it before going to bed and soon your problems will be all cleared up." The wizard chuckled at his little pun, while Jeff stared at the tube. "How much?" "I'm feeling benevolent today. Give me whatever change you have in your pocket and we'll call it even." Jeff reached into his pocket and pulled out two quarters, two dimes, and three pennies, then handed the coins to the wizard. He received the tube in return, thanked the old man, and then stepped back into the mall. Bedtime couldn't come soon enough. *** Jeff returned home in time to join his family for the usual Christmas Eve festivities. First, there was dinner at his grandparent's house, and then the entire family attended candlelight service at the local church. After returning home with his father, mother, and younger brother, the four sang Christmas carols, finished trimming the tree, and sat down to an encore performance of "Miracle on 34th Street." After the movie ended, Jeff said his goodnights and ran up to his bedroom where he would put on the ointment. To be honest, he was skeptical, but anything was worth an attempt, even if it would clear his face just a little. He had been disappointed so many times before by false promises made. It was near midnight when Jeff finally opened the bottle. Squeezing the tube with one hand, he applied the green creamy ointment with the other, spreading thinly as the package suggested. Soon, he finished his face and looked like Jim Carrey from the movie "The Mask." Next, he applied a coat to his arms and chest. Despite the small size of the bottle, there seemed to be an endless amount of ointment. Enough to cover all his affected areas. As the ointment dried, he started to feel a tingly sensation that radiated from his head to his toes. He had grown accustomed to acne medication burning, so these feelings were a pleasant change of pace. He played a couple of games on his PlayStation until he was sure every spot was dry, and then he drifted slowly off to sleep. The old man had promised fast results and he couldn't wait until a few days had passed to see if there was a difference. *** Jeff's eyes fluttered awake as Christmas morning dawned bright inside his bedroom, and that was the first indication that something wasn't quite right. Usually the room was dark with the curtains drawn tight. The second indication came as he arose from the pillow only to feel a strange tickle upon his neck. He reached upwards with his right hand to investigate and was shocked to see his fingernails had grown long and were painted a pastel pink. Upon further inspection, his hand seemed smaller, even girlish. "What's going on"," he muttered, surprised at the softness of his voice. But the real surprise came when he rose out of bed and realized he was not wearing the flannel pajamas he had worn to bed last night, but rather a pair of satiny red pajamas trimmed with white lace. Looking about the room, he noticed changes in the wall coloring and wondered how posters of N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys had replaced those of his favorite football players and wrestlers. And everything was so neat and clean. His dresser, now white, was topped with various bottles of nail polish and tubes of lip-gloss. He looked in the mirror and a girl looked back at him. She was pretty with shoulder length brown hair and looked a lot like his mother, only younger. He gasped, and then reached up to feel his face. It was softer, the cheekbones higher, the lips fuller... and not a blemish could be found. "This can't be happening," he said, his voice sounding even softer than before. "It must be a dream." He wandered over to his closet, feeling the swish of hair upon his shoulders with ever step. Gone were his jeans and polo shirts, replaced instead by a variety of colorful skirts and blouses... even a cheerleader's uniform. Feeling the fabric of the panties and bras that now filled his underwear drawer, he clutched his chest only to feel two soft lumps in his grasp. Panic had already set in by the time he reached for his crotch and felt the inevitable void. The silence that filled his room was soon broken by the sounds of his little brother bouncing down the hallway. "Jen, Jen... 'cmon," he heard the voice say as it entered his room. "Santa came and you should see all the presents." Before Jeff had a chance to react, his little brother quickly bounded down the staircase, once again leaving him alone in his new body. With slender fingers, Jeff reached for the bottle of ointment that must have caused this incredible change, then looked again at the girl in the mirror. Photos of friends and events framed the mirror. Not only was she pretty, but popular as well. As a boy, Jeff Marsden had grown into an introverted shut-in, but apparently Jennifer Marsden was quite the social butterfly. "Maybe this ain't so bad after all," he said, smiling at the reflection in front of him. Then, hearing the Christmas commotion from below, he headed out into the hallway and down the stairs to join the festivities. While the house looked the same, there were subtle reminders of his changed identity. Photos had been altered to reflect his new image. Where sports trophies once rested, awards for cheerleading and ballet now stood in their place. Even his image in the family Christmas portrait had changed to reflect his new gender. "Merry Christmas, sweetie," his father said, greeting Jeff with a hug and a kiss, while his mother just beamed from her place on the couch. He scanned the room and noticed the presents. There were more than he expected. Then he noticed his Christmas stocking. The silvery script had changed from "Jeff" to "Jennifer", and peeking out the top was a small white envelope. He approached the stocking cautiously, still expecting someone to wake him up from this strange dream. When he reached for the envelope, he was taken by how the Christmas tree lights reflected off his nail polish. Inside, he found a letter. "Dear Jeff, or should I say Jennifer now. I know you are confused by all these sudden changes, but fear not. Only you and I know what happened. To the rest of the world, including your parents and brother, you have always been Jennifer. Only you will remember your existence as a boy, but will also have memories of growing up as a girl. I think you will find that life has been much kinder to Jennifer, but if at any time you wish to go back being Jeff, just return this letter to me at the mall. On the other hand, if you wish these changes to be permanent, simply tear the letter and toss it away. This is my gift to you. Merry Christmas!" It was signed by the Wizard, and while Jeff initially considered running back to the mall to redeem the letter, he thought better of it and decided to give his new life a try. While his father handed out presents, Jeff joined his mother on the couch and was surprised at how easily and naturally he curled his leg up beneath him. The packages were smaller than in the past, and filled with things like perfume, lipstick, earrings, and other bangles. To his surprise, Jeff found that he enjoyed the treasures he received and caught himself squealing with delight more than once. Afterwards, once the shreds of wrapping paper had been tossed in the garbage and the presents returned to their place under the tree for display, Jeff returned to his room to change for the day's events. Wearing a bra was uncomfortable at first and Jeff wondered if he would ever get used to wearing such things. The panties fit smoothly as expected, considering the lack of his once familiar bulge. Jeff fingered himself slightly "down there" and after a wave of pleasure shot through his lower region, he promised himself that he would explore his new parts more thoroughly later that night. Reaching in the closet, he selected a red turtleneck sweater and a pair of black slacks and quickly slipped into them. At the vanity, he brushed on a light coat of pink gloss, mascara, and eye shadow. Once done, he marveled at how second nature his make-up application had been. A quick brush of his long, thick hair and a pair of small hoop earrings completed the look. Jeff couldn't help but notice how stunning he truly was. No wonder Chip Miller, the school's top running back, took him to the prom. Jeff giggled that he remembered such a thing, and then returned to his family downstairs. The day was a whirlwind of activity, which helped Jeff to keep his mind of his sudden and drastic change. Still, there were constant reminders, especially when he went to the bathroom. Not only did he have to go more often, but also had to get half undressed just to pee. How inconvenient, he first thought. But then he realized that it's all part of being a girl. By the time the last guest had gone home for the evening, Jeff was exhausted. After removing his make-up and slipping into his nightgown, Jeff decided to explore his body. It didn't take long to arouse his nipples, then, with gentle motions, he began to caress his new womanhood. Soon, wave after wave of pleasure filled his being. It was like nothing he had ever experienced and certainly beat jacking off into a wad of toilet paper. He guessed that he had at least three orgasms before he allowed himself to slip into a peaceful sleep. *** Three days later... Jennifer Marsden walked confidently through the mall, her long brown hair bouncing playfully atop her shoulders. Through full painted lips, she smiled teasingly at the admiring glances that greeted her every move. Life was certainly different as a girl. But as the days passed, the new girl grew more and more comfortable with her new gender. Oh sure, there was a fair share of inconveniences that she never had to contend with in her previous life. Peeing as a girl was absolutely dreadful, especially the long lines in the public restrooms. And wearing a bra was somewhat confining, but considering the heft of her breasts, it was a necessary evil. And she could only imagine what a period would feel like. But the positives far outweighed the negatives. For starters, Jennifer had countless friends. The phone seemed to ring every five minutes and she genuinely enjoyed the new attention she was receiving. While makeup and hair could be time consuming, she enjoyed the rituals and took great pride in her appearance. And then there was Chris Miller. In the days since her change, she had been on two dates with the hunky halfback and just loved the way he made her feel special. Kissing a boy - among other things - took some getting used to. But Chip didn't seem to have any complaints. Without a doubt, her life was better in every way. Now there was just one thing left to do. Nearing the far end of the mall, she stopped outside the Spells R Us shop and reached into her purse and removed the letter. With determined effort, she proceeded to tear the letter in half and watched as the old wooden sign faded into oblivion. Then, she turned on her heel, flipped her hair back, and headed for Victoria's Secrets. After all, she promised Chip a special treat on their next date. The End

SRU Friends are Thicker than Wishes

Here's my SRU anniversary story that I mentioned last week. I had hoped to have it ready for the October 8 anniversary, but fell a little short. Either that or I got a little longwinded ... again. This story is a little different from the others as I've written in the SRU universe in that its also a prequel of sorts to one of my non-SRU stories posted last month. It didn't start out that way, but given some of the characters I needed for this, I think it worked out better. You...

It was October 12, 1998 and my friend agreed to go in costume if I got it for him and he said any costume so I planned to do him over good. I still remember the conversation...

SRU High School Reunion

This is written for the third anniversary of the SRU universe. It's a little late, but somethings can't be helped. The first story specifically designated as SRU (although I spelled it all out the first couple of posts) was posted to the TSA-TALK mailing list on October 8, 1996. At first, I wasn't sure if I would have the time to write an anniversary story. There was the crossover series with the Altered Fates universe to consider, although that project now looks dead. And I didn't...

But then, I never received much in the way of review one way or the other. Oh well. Those who archive stories freely may do so,...

Thank you - Monica Rose. SRU - The Engagement Ring Linda began to tear-up when the wizard told her, "I'm sorry Linda, but I can't do anything...

SRU A Walk in the Mall

SRU: A Walk in the Mall By Bashful Lenny was slowly walking through the mall, not knowing what he was looking for. He wasn't sure his life could get much worse than it was. He was hoping he would see something that would shake him out of his depression and cheer him up. That's when he saw the little shop. It was strange looking to be in a mall. It had an old fashion wooden door ...

SRU Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

SRU: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? By Anne-Mal The Wizard was putting the final touches on closing his store for the day; he wanted to watch his favorite show "Charmed" on the WB. Not that he thought it was any good, but he liked to check out stars of the show, former 'clients', fledgling wizards who thought they could get the best of him. Well they wanted practice magic and that is all they would do now, just practice! The phone rang, which confused the Wizard. He didn't...

SRU The Football Hero

SRU -- The Football Hero By Ellie Dauber (c) 2001 "Mall Security, Sam Crawford speaking." "Sam, this is Al Dehner at Rite Aide. I've got a crazy man screaming in my story." Al's voice was quivering, a sure sign the man was nervous. In the background, Sam could ear what sounded like someone shouting, though he couldn't make out any words. "On my way," Sam said. The Rite Aide was only about six stores away from the corner where the Security Office was located. Sam...

SRU Made for Each Other

SRU: MADE FOR EACH OTHER by Roy Del Frink Leland Welker was strolling through the mall one day when he saw a strange sight. It was an old-fashioned wooden shop called "Spells R Us". He was bored, so he decided to enter on a whim. Leland couldn't believe all the junk in there, and didn't understand what he would do in a place like this. Just then he noticed a short old man behind the counter. He looked at least eighty years old, and he wore an old crimson bathrobe. He asked the...

SRU The Retrun fo the Love Doll

SRU: The Return of the Love Doll By Ran Dandel The Riding Club of the University was one of its most exclusive organizations. It was like a non-resident fraternity. The members gathered there to meet and socialize, and to build their skills at networking. The exclusivity was guaranteed because only the wealthiest students in good standing in their respective cities' Society could become members. Members who graduated were destined to wield great power in whatever ...

SRU The Good Wifes Guide

SRU: The Good Wifes Guide. by Darkside --------------------------- This contains actual extracts from a Home Economics textbook printed in the early 60s. It did the rounds at work a while ago and it just begged to have a story written around it. This is my one and only sojourn into the 'Spell R Us' universe. So I hope you all like it. As an experiment, I've deliberately left much to the imagination. This is more of a covert TG story than most. At was also an experiment in that I...

SRU The Thin Line of Love

Author's Note: This story is a continuation of my previous SRU story entitled "The Love Hate Rule". If you haven't read that, it may help before you read this one, but it is not necessary. This story is pretty much free standing. I hope you enjoy it as much as it's predecessor. ----------------- SRU: The Thin Line of Love By Crunch Andrea Clark had just stepped out of the shower. It was another lost bout of trying fight off the sexual urges she felt. It...

SRU The Contract

Spells-R-Us & The Contract by Bad Irving Standard disclaimer, if under 18 do not read this tale. Actually this disclaimer is just a chance to give some credit, where credit is due. The story "The Reviewer from Hell" by Happyguy was the starting idea for the creation of this story. It is with Happyguy's permission that I take his concept and proceed with my own story. The characters in this story are not a carry over from Happyguy's tale, but, the Spells-R-Us (SRU) characters...

SRU Nicely Backfired

SRU: Nicely Backfired: by Donna-Allyson McCleod (my first attempt at short SRU story) It had all started a month earlier when Shirley Davis had moved into Don's neighborhood along with her older sister Valerie and their estranged mother Sherry. Don Wallace was a senior at St. Mary's Boy's High School at the time. Shirley Davis had immediately caught Don's eye on her first day at the school. Shirley was sixteen and had transferred into the adjoining St. Mary's School for Girls as a...

SRU An Error in Application

Warning: This story contains adult material. SRU: An Error in Application by Fringold Sixfingers Lyle Green had heard several rumors about the 'Spells R Us' shop in the mall. Sense he did not believe in magic, he took the stories as tells of fancy. There was one rumor he was not about to ignore. The best place to buy computer hardware was SRU. Lyle could use an upgrade to keep him competitive. Soon he was outside the shop. Not at all what he was expecting. The store looked more...

SRUAF A Wizards Altered Fate

Author's Notes by Bill Hart This was initially intended to be the second posting of the collaborative crossover set in the 'Spells R Us' and 'Altered Fates' universes written by myself and Raven. However, after finally making contact with Raven, we decided my story could be posted first, with his story becoming a prequel of sorts, instead of the lead in. Before I do anything else I would like...

SRU Well Dressed

SRU: Well Dressed By Bashful Jack Edward Wilson was a relatively happy man. He had a good job and a wonderful wife. They had not been blessed with children yet but that was just a matter of time, he was sure. Jack really enjoyed his job, it was something he liked doing and he was good at it. He worked for a good company that treated it's employees well. You'd think he had the perfect life and you'd be right, except for one little thing. Jack wished he was a...

SRU Hunting Season

Note: This is rather tame compared to the other SRU stories and I took a few liberties with this one. I hope that I don't piss anyone off with it. There is no sex on this one so if that is a deciding factor for you, pass this one by. Please let me know what you think of this story, whether you like or dislike it. I have other stories that I'm working on and hopefully will post in the future. This story may be posted to any sight that doesn't charge a fee. All others must get my...

SRU Pantyhose

SRU: PANTYHOSE BY PAUL G. JUTRAS "Why can't I wear clothes like that." Was the thought that often ran through Chris's mind. Chris was a pleasant twenty-two year old. Anyone who looked at him would think he was a normal boy checking out girls. What he was looking at was the clothes they had on. Clothes he wish he could have on. His mother's side of the family ran a night club and during the early evening he listened to the music and wondered what it would be like to feel silk...

SRU Half and Half

SRU: HALF AND HALF By Roy Del Frink A disgruntled lady walked up to the counter, holding a paper bag in her arm. "Listen here, buddy," she said to the old man behind the counter, "you sold me a potion that would turn my husband into the next thing I said. I said, 'Change my husband into a Chippendale dancer,' and look what happened!" She placed the bag on the counter, and opened it. The lady pulled out two chipmunks, dressed in tiny top hats, tuxes, and canes. One had a...

SRU Better Than Plastic

SRU: Better Than Plastic By Roy Del Frink Mark and Susan Johnson had been married ten long, happy years. They were a perfect couple. Although they were childless, they planned to have children soon; in fact, Mark had tried to impregnate Susan for two months without success. SRU Chads Story

SRU Jerry Jerry Jerry

SRU: Jerry...Jerry...Jerry... by [email protected] edited by SteveZ The SRU Universe belongs to the great Bill Hart, but most of you already knew that. SRU: The Way of the Manga By Melissa Virus Copyright 2000 Matt and Jason headed into the mall. Every Tuesday they went to Cedar Oaks Mall to pick up the latest issues of their favorite comics at Skanky's Comic and Video; today was especially exciting because a Class of Ninja High School video Jason had special-ordered was supposed to be coming in. SRU Learning French

SRU: Learning French By Demonn Hi, my name is Todd or should I say was Todd. I am, was 5' 10" and maybe just a bit of a geek. I wasn't ugly mind you but I wasn't all that incredibly strong. But that didn't stop me having friends like everyone else. It was a Saturday and like always, I was going to have some fun at my friend's house. I was a simple 15 year old guy, who enjoyed some R&R, when, my high school, Rivers High, was out. I mean who didn't. When I arrived at...

SRU Lovers Knot First Draft

Some time ago, Raven and I collaborated on an SRU story called Lovers (K)Not, which is unfortunately incomplete at this time. Raven created the story idea, basic plot and the main characters, and then asked me to write a rough draft based on the information that he gave me. After I completed the rough draft, I sent it to him, where he polished it up and added quite a bit more detail as well as his own touches. Raven posted each chapter to Fictionmania after he'd finished his...

SRU Catwalk Comeback

SRU: Catwalk comeback By MTG 15th August 2002 Well, a month before heading back to South Bank University to complete my Computing degree, I was in the Bentalls centre in Kingston shopping for bits and pieces so I would be ready when term started in about a month's time. After my quite literally 'out of this world' year I had already been itching to get back to normality after April - post the events of July I couldn't wait for term to start - with Steve having already...

SRU The Pardon

A version of this story appeared on Big Closet and on Sapphire's TG Fiction List. It may be added to other free archives as long as it does not violate Bill Hart's strictures on the use of his characters or my own notice at the bottom of the story. SRU: The Pardon By Lainie Lee The shabbily dressed man hurrying through the holiday shopping crowd slipped into the first door he came to. Hal David figured it must be a side corridor into service areas of the mall where he could hide...

SRU Weekend in Reno

This, my first FictionMania story, is based on a real weekend in October 2003. Just about everything in the first section of the story is true. Beyond that, well, this is an SRU story after all. (Reno girlfriends: no attempt has been made to match the characters in this story to any of you! Your secrets are safe...) --- We had been planning this outing for months. Most of the girls in my Yahoo Group had never met each other in person, but now we were going to get together in Reno...
