Chapter 2 Day 2
Bill was alone. The room was void of everything and
everyone. Suddenly a spotlight from above shined directly
in Bill's eyes.
"Who's there?" Bill asked.
"You've been a very bad boy Mister Edwards. You've hurt,
lied, and cheated." A voice said.
"I'm a American citizen! If you don't let release me there
will be trouble. I know my rights!" Bill screamed back.
"You had your rights, but you abused them. You were very
bad to your daughter. You were very bad." The voice
repeated.
"Who is this and where am I?" Bill asked while trying to
scan the room, but each time he moved the light seemed to
follow him.
"I am that which you fear most." The voice said changing
images and faces of those that Bill knew. "I am the girl
you hurt. I am the mother. I am the father. I am you!"
The face zoomed in closer and merged into that of Bills
face. The rest of the image became clearer as the lights
slowly deemed away. The image had on the same grey pants
that Bill had worn to work everyday. The shirt was the same
as well.
"It's impossible. None of this can be real." Bill stated
trying to keep touch with reality

Bill didn't want to believe any of this. His idea of
reality was being challenged. Who he was had been altered
to suit a deranged version of himself.
"Why are you doing this to me. What have I done to you?"
"Daddy's mean. Daddy's mean." The words were repeated over
and over again.
The image of himself morphed from that of a man to that of
his daughter. The clothes that the man was wearing also
changed as well. The pants and shirt merged together
forming a full-length dress. At the top was a Peter Pan
collar. The sleeves were long and at the end had lace sewn
into it. In the middle were 4 pictures of ballet dances.
Each moving in different stages of the same step and
pattern. At the waist of the dress was a slash that tied
together into a big bow. It was the same as the one Bill's
daughter had worn on her 2nd birthday. However the image
was wrong. It wasn't a 2 year old Chrissy, but a 5 year old
with the same pouty face that had been seen on Chrissy just
a few hours ago.
"You lied to me and missed everything important. I hate
you." The image of Chrissy screamed.
"You're not real. None of this is real." Bill said trying
to keep a hold of reality. The sweat was dripping from
everywhere now. He closed his eyes and screamed, "I wish it
would all go away. Just go away."
When Bill opened his eyes the images had all gone away.
However things were different. He felt different. A mirror
slowly appeared in front of him. As the mirror came into
view so did the image that now looked back at him. His
reflection now wore the same dress that the image of him
had morphed into. Quickly he grabbed reached and tried to
grab his genital area. He felt around, but it wasn't there.
Whatever had caused this strange transformation had also

The voices were back. This time it was that of his wife

Then Bill felt it. His clothes were the same, but something

Bill tried to keep his sanity, but at this point it was
gone. The chaos had destroyed what had been left of a
normal aspect on life.

voice had repaired It was the same image of Bill as before.

The other image of Bill forced a Pacifier into the new
Bill's face.
He tried to refuse, but they were all too powerful for him.
When he tried to speak and protest. All that came out of
his now Pacifier mouth was muffled sounds. Cindy slowly
reached down to pick Bill up.
"Well I think we won't have to worry about producing that
baby anymore." She said. "Chrissy, oh Chrissy where are
you. Come see your new baby sister."
Right on queue an image of Chrissy appeared. She ran over
to where her Mommy and Bill were.
"Can I hold her mommy?" Chrissy asked.
"Yes you can. In fact I think she wants to see you." Cindy
replied.
Bill was mortified. Here he was being passed by his wife
over to his own daughter. 'Why had all these events started
to happen? Just make the nightmare end.' Bill thought.
"Oops." Chrissy said.
That was when Bill noticed and felt that he was falling.
The floor was quickly coming up to his face. Inch by inch
he came closer to hitting the ground then it happened.
Bill and Cindy's room
Bill suddenly sprung up with sweat dripping from his face.
The covers had lifted up with him causing Cindy to become
aware of the sudden movement.
"What's the matter?"
'It was just a very bad dream. That's all.' Bill was so
lost in his thoughts of the nightmare that he hadn't heard
or noticed Cindy reaching her arms around him.
It startled him. "You scared me when you look like that.
What happened to you that got you so worked up?" She asked.
"It's nothing. Just a bad dream."
Bill got up. Left the bed and walked out of the room and to
the bathroom where the medicine cabinet was. He then opened
the door and grabbed two Alka-seltzers. Then he headed to
the kitchen. In the den, Chrissy had already been awake
watching TV. She didn't even notice his movement as he
walked past her. Arriving in the kitchen he poured a glass
of water and placed the two Alka-seltzers into it. The
anti-acids quickly dissolved into bubbles, which Bill then
drunk it down without even removing the glass from his
lips. After he finished He then sat the cup down and headed
back for the bedroom.
As he passed the den he called out to his daughter,
"Morning pumpkin. There's a whole backyard out there to
play in. Why don't you go out and have some fun."
"Aw, but daddy Pikachu just got hurt. I can't leave now
till I make sure he is okay." She pouted.
"Pika what? The TV show will be on when you come back."
Bill replied.
"But it isn't the TV. It's my pet. Jenny, Sara, and Susan
all had to reset theirs because it died, but mine hasn't. I
have to make sure he is better before I can do anything
else." Chrissy responded.
"Al right then, just remember to mind your mother if she
asks you to do something while I'm at work."
Bill walked over and then gave her a hug. Then went off to
the bedroom.
Back in Bill's and Cindy's bedroom
"Honey, maybe you shouldn't go to work." Cindy said.
"I have to go otherwise the client I have might cause some
trouble for me. Besides it was just a bad dream." Bill
reassured her.
"Is it really that important that you go? Wouldn't you
rather stay home with a wife who cares about you and a
child who needs her father here?" Cindy responded.
"I would if I could. The Lord knows I love you both. It's
just that my job is my job." Bill said.
"Just don't forget that you promised that little girl of
yours ice cream. You better not forget." Cindy.
"Me forget? There's no way that I could. You know me I made
a promise." Bill responded.
"That's what I was afraid of." Cindy mumbled under her
breath.
"Did you say something?" Bill asked.
"No. Just go get dressed for work otherwise you will be
late." Cindy responded. She leaned over and then gave him a
hug.
It didn't take Bill that long to take a shower, take care
of his normal grooming, and head out. "I'm leaving." He
shouted from the front door.
"Bye." Both his wife and daughter responded in unison.
The Senator's home
Bill made it to the Senators home where he was met by a big
iron gate. It stood at least 15 feet tall and covered
nearly half the property. To the side of the road was an
intercom system. It was about 5 feet away from the front
entrance. Bill pushed the button and waited for a response.
"The Williams Residents. Please state your name and
business." A guard responded.
"This is Bill Edwards. The Senator called my office in
search of help for his daughter."
It took the guard a few minutes to check his records to see
if Bill was telling the truth. When all things seemed in
order he then gave the okay by opening the gate. Bill was
amazed by all that surrounded him. In front of him were a
large number of huge fountains that extended all the way up
to the house. Next to the fountain was a row of flowers
that seemed to contain every colour of the rainbow. The
real shocker was the size of the house. From a far it
looked average, but when driving underneath the huge Greek
columns it reminded you of what the Gods of the old might
have seen.
A butler greeted him. "Do come in sir. The master of the
house has been waiting for you. I shall have someone park
your car for you."
He spoke in one of those British accents that you would
expect to find in a rich persons home. The butler then
escorted Bill into the master den of the house where Mr.
Williams was waiting.
"My dear sir. I see you have made it here safe and sound,
might I add you're right on time." Senator Williams spoke
while holding a gold stopwatch in his hand.
"Sir, I believe that you called about your doctor. If it is
al right with you I would rather get down to business."
Bill spoke with authority.
"Yes, yes I agree. I like a man who knows how to take
charge and get right on the ball of things." Senator
Williams responded.
"May I ask which room of the house is your daughter's?"
Bill asked.
"My daughters room is the 3rd room on the left of the main
floor. It is almost as big as my room."
"Will you take me there so I can see what is happening and
how she is responding in her natural surroundings?" Bill
asked.
"Certainly, that is why you came here." The Senator
responded.
Bill was then escorted by the Senator to his daughter's
room. They passed through 3 large hallways on their way to
the room, each one as stunning as the one before it.
Finally, reaching his daughter's room The Senator opened
the door.
Bill was in shock. In the middle of a huge room there was a
cage. The cage was 10 x 10 feet. What was even more
shocking was that a human being was actually in the cage. A
beautiful girl of her late teens was sleeping.
"Mr. Williams the first thing wrong I see here is caging
your daughter. How do you expect her to get better if you
have her trapped in a cage? It's inhuman."
"Now don't you go judging me young man? After I had removed
the diapers from her she went crazy. It was as if my
daughter had been posed by a crazed beast. She attacked two
of my servants and then came after me before my bodyguards
stopped her."
After hearing the Senator speak he knew this was going to
be harder case then he had thought it would be.
"Can you get her out of the cage so that I might speak to
her?" Bill asked the Senator.
"Are you for sure you want to take the risk?" The Senator
questioned.
"Yes, I'm perfectly safe. Just leave everything to me. I
would like to be alone with her so that I can get a better
response from her." Bill responded.
The cage was then opened and Senator Williams helped out
his daughter.
"This is Mr. Edwards honey. He's here to help you. Now be a
good girl while daddy goes off for a bit." He spoke to her
as an adult would speak to a small child.
"Okay daddy." Sarah said.
Mr. Williams then left the room.
"Hello and what's your name sweetheart." Bill asked.
"My name's Sarah." Sarah replied.

"That's a mighty young age, but it seems to me little Sarah

"A game of pretend. Lets say that Sarah was a teenager.
What type of things would Sarah do?"
"No like this game." Sarah crawled away from Bill to the
corner and curled up in a fetal position.
"Why does Sarah no like to pretend to be big?"
"Because other kids mean. They make fun of Sarah because
daddy never shows up to Sarah stuff. They say Sarah is bad
and caused mommy to yell at daddy." Sarah cried.
Bill was starting to get a picture of why Sarah had
mentally regressed. The hard part was going to be breaking
it The Senator. Part of him was even afraid that he might
be causing the same problems to his own daughter. It gave
him great pain, which caused an even greater headache. That
was when he suddenly noticed that the room was changing.
Everything went blank except for him and Sarah.
"They love to hate, cheat, steal, and even brand you as
something that your aren't. When they make a mistake it
turns out to be your fault." Sarah spoke.
"Why do you say that Sara?" Bill asked
"Parents who hurt shall become that which is hurt
themselves. It's the only way they will see the pain they
cause upon the masses of small children who can not defend
themselves."
Sarah repeated before disappearing into the void. Laughing
noises soon could be heard everywhere. Bill tried to cover
his ears with his hands, but it was too much for him. The
loud noise soon caused him to pass out from pain.
Senator William's Guest Bedroom
"Make sure you keep a warm blanket on him. You over there
keep that IV stabled. Keep a eye on that heartrate." A
nurse instructed her crew.
"What happened? Who are you? And where am I." Bill
questioned.
Bill tried to get up, but that was when the restraints from
the stretcher hit him.
"Try to lay still Mr. Edwards. You had a rough fall there."
She then pulled out a flashlight and shined it into his
eyes. "I would like to see if you can follow the light
without moving your head." After two successful swipes she
then gave the okay. "Your vital signs seem to be coming
back and your temperature is reading normal. Have you ever
had spells like these before Mr. Edwards?"
"No. This is the first." Bill Replied.
"Chances are that this is only a one time thing. I would
however suggest that you take it easy and rest for the next
few days. No sudden movements and take a few days off from
work." The nurse instructed.
"I can not. I promised I would help The Senator with his
family problem. I still need to type up my report and give
it to him so he can understand what is happening with his
daughter." Bill replied.
"It's okay. We have everything we need on tape." Senator
Williams said trying to comfort Bill. That was the first
time Bill had even noticed that Mr. Williams was near by.
"Tape?" Bill asked.
"Yes tape. Security cameras are posted in every room of the
house. It's how we knew that you had fainted. Not to
mention the screaming that Sarah was doing. Now you get
some rest and when your up and ready we will finish up our
business with my daughter."
"Do you have anyone that can come pick you up?" The nurse
asked Bill.
"My car is just out front I was planning to drive home
after I left." Bill replied.
"It is too risky to chance. The stress from the driving
could cause a relapse that could not only endanger you but
innocent drivers on the road."
"I will take care of it. I'll have one of my drivers drop
him off at his home." Senator Williams said.
"But what about my car?" Bill asked.
"That is a easy solution to. I'll drive the car to your
house and then have my driver drive me back." Senator
Williams replied.
With all the arrangements made and Bill stable the nurse
released him from the restraints. Bill then was free to go.
The Edwards' Family Home
Cindy had been worried when she received the call that Bill
had fainted. Parts of her had regretted not putting up a
bigger fight to keep him home. When she heard the door
start to turn she quickly went to it.
"Bill is that you?" She asked.
"Yes it's me you crazy girl. Who else would have a key to
open the door?" Bill replied.
Before Bill could take one step in the door Cindy threw her
arms over him. She hugged and squished him like there was
no tomorrow.
"Don't mean to interrupt, but I best be going now."
"It's perfectly okay. Forgive the rudeness and loss of
manners. Senator Williams this is my wife Cindy." Bill
said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you and thank you for taking such
good care of my husband. I hope he didn't trouble you."
Cindy said while being introduced to the Senator.
"Not at all. The pleasure was all mine. As far as your
husband he is welcome at my house anytime. You're a lucky
man Edwards."
Cindy blushed at the remark, but Bill replied, "Yes I am
and I wouldn't trade it for the world."
With that The Senator was off. Bill and Cindy entered the
house where Bill was greeted by another surprise that
nearly toppled him over. It was Chrissy. She had been
waiting on the bottom of the stairs, which at first sight
of her daddy she had jumped out, grabbed hold of him and
embraced him in a big hug.
"Mommy said that you were hurt."
Her child like innocence filled Bill's heart. Here just the
other day his little girl was upset at him. Now she was
only concerned that her daddy was safe and would always be
with her.
"I'm okay sweetheart. Really I am. Don't you worry your
pretty little head off. Now here's a thought. How about I
take my two lovely Angels out for some ice cream and for a
special little girl I know we shall get the biggest ice
cream sundae she's ever had." Bill said.
"With real cherries and strawberries?" Chrissy asked.
"You bet." Bill replied.
Without a moments waste Chrissy ran up the stairs and back
to her room. All thoughts were on that big sundae ice cream
she was about to get and nothing else. Cindy however was
less pleased with the idea that Bill had just suggested.
"Isn't it a bad idea to drive somewhere in your current
position?" Cindy asked.
"Well yes, but I wasn't planning to do the driving." Bill
rapidly started kissing Cindy.
"But," She tried to interrupt the kissing.
"Shhh, no words." Bill replied.
Cindy didn't reject the kissing this time. The two lovers
just embraced each other and stayed that way.
"Ewww mommy and daddy's making funny faces together."
Chrissy had returned.
Just as usual her timing was right on the spot. She had
changed into a short summer dress. It had a picture of a
princess waving a magical wand on it. Below the picture was
wording that read Daddy's little princess.
"Daddy and Mommy were just kissing. It's something boys and
girls do when they are in love. Even you will do it
someday." Cindy explained to her daughter.
"That's icky. Boys are mean and have cooties." Chrissy
responded.
"Now if only we could keep that image of boys in her head
when she's 16." Bill joked.
"Oh you. I guess if we are going to head off and get ice
cream we best be going." Cindy said taking control of
everything.
That evening everything went smoothly. Bill enjoyed a
lovely time with his wife and daughter. Chrissy was happy
with him to which made the even a better success. Today had
been a very good day and Bill didn't want anything to
change it for the world.
