Foreign Life 3 - by Garath
A relaxing dip in the Hot Springs
Sandra sighed as she sat in the attic on the hypothermic chamber of
regeneration while looking at the falling rain. She was wearing a pink
halter-top with blue jeans. It had been three days since the attack in
the mall, and she had been alone for all three of them. Jim had been
avoiding her lately, though she couldn't figure out why. Trish had been
too busy helping her family with their store to drop by, and Jesse had
been spending some quality time with Paul. Igor and Albert were the only
ones around and they were busy with their own things. She was thinking
about getting a job, but so far hadn't found anything promising.
She sighed again watching the steady pitter-patter of the rain
interrupted only by the occasional lightning bolt. On the third bolt of
lighting something caught her eye. Glancing in that direction she tried
to veer through the rain at the building she thought she saw. After only
a few seconds another bolt light up the area again, and allowed her to
see the building set upon a hill a little ways from her house and at the
edge of town. She had watched over the town many times from this very
window and never had she EVER seen that building before. Intrigued she
extended her vision so she may get a close up look at it. She couldn't
read the name but she noted right away that it was a bathhouse. Must have
just been built, she thought, getting down from her perch. She'd just go
see if they were offering any jobs, and take a nice relaxing dip at the
same time!
***
As she bounded down the stairs she passed a hallway mirror and quickly
stopped upon seeing her reflection. Taking a closer look she noticed that
she indeed was not wearing any makeup. That was strange... Didn't she
have auto-applying makeup? Luckily Albert walked out of one the rooms
next to her at that moment.
"Albert, I have a question...," she said stopping him in mid step. He
turned toward her intrigued.
"Yes?" He asked simply.
"Well," she began, "I noticed I'm not wearing makeup and I tried to get
my body to kick in the auto applying program."
"Auto applying? What are you talking about?" Albert interrupted a
confused expression upon his face.
"You know, how I auto apply makeup, like I did when I woke up after the
middle school incident," she said.
"Let me see your mirror," Albert said walking into her room. Curious and
confused she followed him into her room to see him looking closely at her
mirror.
"Take a look," he said gesturing to the looking glass. Shrugging mentally
she walked up and took a peek at her reflection. She audibly gasped as
she saw her image complete with make up! Did the auto applier finally
kick in?
"This mirror is set to show the one in it with make up," Albert said
leaned forward and as his own face entered the flat surface it showed HIM
with make up on! Shocked Sandra stumbled backward to land on her butt.
Albert laughed, and flipping a switch the images no longer showed
themselves with makeup on.
"I'm sorry Sandra," he said trying not to laugh, "But I never GAVE you
auto applying makeup! It was just this mirror! Why would I deny you of
doing anything that a female can do when I promised to let you see it
all?"
"Someone could have told me earlier...," she grumbled as she got up
brushing herself off, "Well, I'll just have to ask Trish and Jesse later.
Right now I have an appointment to keep."
"Oh? Where are you going?" Albert asked, helping her steady herself.
"There is a new bath house on the edge of town, I'm going to go check to
see if they have any jobs available as well and utilize the opportunity."
She said smiling. Albert caught on quickly.
"You know I've been working all day, and I'm quiet sore to show for it.
If you don't' mind I'll tag along," he said, following her down the
stairs. Sandra nodded and smiled, she was glad for the company.
"You head out for the car, I'm going to go make sure the stuff in my lab
is shut off," He said walking into the basement. Sandra nodded and walked
outside to the car. A few minutes later they were off in the direction of
the bathhouse.
***
Jim hung up the phone with Dr. Zizu. The new bath house? Why did he want
to meet there, and in this weather? Shrugging he decided to just go and
find out. He saved his file on the computer and got ready and walked over
to his dresser to change into something outdoor worthy as he was wearing
a pair of boxers and a tank top. He'd finish work on his latest
fanfiction, 'Mirror Realm-Invasion', later. Right now he was curious as to
see what Albert had in store for him. He opened the top drawer of his
dresser, knocking down a few of his action figures in the process. His
room was fairly simple. A computer desk, a dresser, a bed, and some
selves. However it was what decorated those things that made it different
from other rooms. All along his dresser, desk and selves sat either
action figures or books. The books were all of fantasy or science
fiction. On his wall hung posters of fantasy settings sat. Castles,
unicorns, dragons, and even a few anime themed posters. Nearly every wall
had something on it, and there were no large blank spaces except one.
His closet door, while it could hold any picture, remained blank. He was
saving that spot for something special. But he didn't know what yet.
Turning his thoughts back to the task at hand, he barely noticed as they
wandered again as he dressed himself subconsciously. He thought back to
the time when he first met Jake. He had been pretty messed up back then.
All the other kids had picked on him for being scrawny, and he had taken
to attempting to fight back. However he wasn't one to hold his own and
was always left the worse for the wear in the end.
He had spent his life, slowly giving up hope that he had been worth
anything at all. None of the other boys ever came to his aid, and of
course the girls treated him like a disease. His entire life consisted of
getting in trouble at school for being picked on. Now there were times
when some person tried to help, but after the bullies fought them off, it
was back to the same old same old. Sure he managed to win a few fights
thus stopping those said bullies from messing with him, but more always
took their place.
Then came high school in this town. He had just transferred here during
his sophomore year, when again, some local bullies decided to use him as
their punching bag. He tried to fight them off, but in the end was the
one on the ground with a bloody nose. He braced himself for the kicks he
knew were coming when two red beams that looked like lasers flew between
him and the bullies to blast a large hole in a nearby tree. That was when
he met Jake. Jake had scared the bullies off by that blast, and helped
Jim up while introducing himself and asking if he was ok. Jim was amazed
by the power this boy his own age possessed. He immediately began their
friendship by asking him a whole bunch of questions.
He had learned all about what Jake was, and how lonely Jake had been. He
could see why people might be afraid of a person who could do such
things, but he himself found it amazing! They were best friends from that
day forward. It was funny after that with training from Jake, Jim slowly
began to improve in his fights, soon thanks to him being friends with
Jake, and his own ability to defend himself he never had to worry about
bullies. He had loved Jake even back then, just as a close friend, but
now...oh but now..
Jim sighed as he usually did when Sandra entered his mind. Why didn't he
take the plunge? Why didn't he just admit he loves her to her face? Why
did he always have to hide his true feelings? The truth was that if it
weren't for Jake, he'd have killed himself long ago. He had been tired of
fighting, had been tired of having no friends, and been tired of girls
treating him dirt. Jake had changed all that, and now Jake was Sandra, a
girl who made his wildest dreams come true. If only he could tell her
that!
Instead he had taken the easy way out, and watched her from afar. He had
long finished getting dressed by this point and was already walking
toward the bathhouse. He had no doubt that Sandra would be there with
Albert for whatever this business was, and not being a complete clueless
sole, had a suspicious feeling this was a set up date...
***
Paul waited patently for Jesse to get out of the restroom as he browsed
the isles of the media store they had taken a pit stop at. He was
wondering how his brother was fairing in his new apartment among other
things. He grinned inwardly, he was always like this, thinking about
others more then himself. After all, he wasn't this muscled up for no
reason.
As he browsed the video game racks somewhat blankly his mind began to
wander to how he use to be all those years ago. He didn't use to be like
this, in fact he had been picked on for a little while. But he remembered
that feeling of helplessness, how his older brother even had problems
getting beaten up because of the weakness his body seemed to show. He had
gotten so tired of it, so very tired of his brother and himself getting
hurt by bullies. That's when he began to do something about it.
It took quite a few years, but he managed to go from his thin body to the
muscular one he held now. Around campus he wasn't just known as a lead
football player, but also as a bully destroyer, and protector to those
who bullies would normally pick on. He hated bullies and made sure that
anyone who ever beat up on others, got just what they deserved. Granted
he didn't have much to do in that department while Jake was around, but
he was still looked up to. He loved the feeling of being respected for
his actions against bullies. After all they put him through he knew he'd
never be able to watch a bully without intervening again.
That was pretty much it for him, nothing to deep and meaningful that
showed great pain or suffering. So his thoughts then turned to the best
day of his life.
It had been about one year ago about a month and a half from this date.
It had been that time of the year, good ol' Christmas. He had been
walking down to the can drive to give their family's contribution, when
he happened to notice the girl who was helping the local shrine out with
the drive. Jesse had looked so beautiful that night, they way the night
stars illuminated her smile as she took some cans from some children all
giddily that they were helping their mom give the 'nice lady' cans. She
had been wearing her favorite color, green. It was naturally a Christmas
green upon a coat that looked like it could be misses Claus's. Even more
she wore a red Santa hat on her head. This didn't exactly do 'wonders'
for her image, but Paul couldn't help but be taken in by the beauty of
her face alone.
Trying not to stare he went to deposit his cans perhaps get a few words
in the beauty. Then the storybook thing happened, which he still can't
believe actually transpired. The bottom of his bag broke, which in turn
dropped a TON of cans on his foot, which caused him to yelp in pain,
which then in turn caused him to ram into the table in front of Jesse
that held the boxes the cans were going in, which of course bumped into
Jesse and since the table was so low, it caused her to fall forward.
Anyone could see this lead to him catching her.
"Thanks..," she said regaining her balance.
"Um, my pleasure..," He replied, picking up her Santa hat and handing it
to her. Quickly he noticed they were the only ones here, and that his
cans had rolled in every direction possible. He looked around at the cans
in exasperation for a few seconds before claiming out loud.
"Aw, this is suppose to be Christmas! Not Easter!" As he began picking up
the cans. Jesse laughed.
"Here, I'll help you," she said bending down to where he was crouched,
"After all, it's the least I can do for my rescuer!"
"Oh stop it, I couldn't very well let you fall," he replied picking up
another can. That's when she extended her hand.
"Very well, my name is Jesse. What's yours?" she asked.
"Paul," he said taking her hand. A few lunch dates and him helping her
out at the shrine and they had become more then just friends. He still
couldn't believe how it all began. Such a story book meeting. Life sure
was weird sometimes. He grinned upon that thought. With Jake and Dr. Zizu
around, that remark was an understatement!
***
Jesse sat staring at the mirror a bit just smiling to herself before
going back out to join her boyfriend Paul. She had been remembering when
they first met, and how she had felt on that day. She couldn't explain it
now, but she just knew that Paul would become a big part of her life that
night. She didn't actually want to consider it becoming what it did in
fear that it might not happen, but it had. They had gotten together, and
it didn't' look like it would be ending anytime soon. She was happy,
meeting Paul was one thing she would never regret.
That's when she sighed. There was one thing she DID regret and it
wouldn't leave her thoughts no matter how hard she tried to get it to.
Jake, or as she was now, Sandra.
Jake had always been a nice person, and she knew that, but.. But she
still cut him out of her life on purpose. She had been afraid of his
power, like many were. Trish had wanted to get to know him from time to
time, but Jesse had always said that he had things to work out and that
it would be better to let him be. How foolish she had been! Jake had
needed friends, she knew that now. Jake had been suffering, and if Jim
hadn't come along, she was afraid if Jake would have considered
terminating his own operation systems, no that' wasn't it, he wasn't just
some machine, he would have killed himself.. It was strange to think that
way back when was still Jake, but now that she finally got to know him as
Sandra. She saw he, or now she, wasn't as much a machine as she thought.
He was a living breathing person. Despite what he may be considered, she
knew deep down inside Jake, no Sandra was as human as she herself was.
Jesse and Trish both made vows that night of the fire, to help Sandra
become the girl she now wore the form of, and to be the friends they
should have been so long ago. Jesse shook her head at herself. That was
Jesse all right, she was nice at a glance, but she always had to take
command, to strive to get to that point of achievement. Even when she was
ten years old selling cookies for her school did she always try her
hardest to come out on top. Perhaps she needed to step back and take in
what was really important... Her family and friends. Inside, she hoped
she was a gentle person.
Drying the tears that had began, she cheered herself up and walked out to
find Paul, they had to pick up Trish at her parents store so they could
check out that hot spring bath Paul had pointed out on the way here...
***
Trish had just locked the doors to her parent's store, and had begun to
sweep up when she let her thoughts run wild. She was still a little fumed
over the fact Zeek had moved away shortly after their date that one night
saying it had been fun but he wasn't really looking for anything serious.
She gripped the broom tighter, the nerve of him! Playing with an innocent
girl's heart such as hers! She frown slightly knowing Jesse or Paul would
have snickered had she said that in front of them. Why didn't anyone
understand her?
She cleared her head of those memories and went back to cleaning up so
she could go do something else. Perhaps Jesse and Paul wanted to do
something? She'd find out in a little while anyway. She was also worried
about Sandra, they hadn't had time to go see how she was doing for three
days now after that mall attack. She was happy that she finally took the
plunge to be friends with her, while she wished she did it earlier, there
wasn't' anything she could do to change that now.
She hated not being able to spend time with her friends. She hated being
alone period. She was an only child, her parents were unable to produce a
second child, weather they wanted to or not or so that's what it
appeared, she had never really pushed the matter, but it could be seen
that she wished for a sibling sometimes. She use to dream of having a
smaller sister, and the things they could do together. But alas it was
not to be.
She finished cleaning up and grabbed a sandwich from the deli section.
Munching on it she wondered if she would ever find a boyfriend. Jesse had
met Paul one year ago, but she had been less then lucky. Then Jake had
become Sandra who was a perfect mate for Jim though neither of them
seemed to be willing to realize it. She sighed feeling alone again. Maybe
she should get a pet...
Knock! Knock!
Trish looked at the door for a few seconds wondering who that could be.
Everyone in town knew this place closed at this time. Then she realized
it might be one of her friends. Ever hopeful she ran to the door, opening
it to find Jesse and Paul standing outside. Jesse was dressed in green
sweater with womanly black pants, while Paul wore a simple black T-shirt
with blue jeans. Over his shirt he wore a blue jacket. She herself was
wearing her work uniform, which consisted of white overhauls and an
orange shirt. She HATED orange, but was stuck with it.
"Hey you two, what's up? What I was actually wanting to ask you if you
were up to doing anything tonight," she said letting them in.
"Actually we wanted to know the same from you," Jesse said sitting down
upon a stool. Paul walked over the freezer and pointed to some bottles of
chocolate milk.
"May we?" He asked.
"Go ahead, you know my parents don't mind, and bring me one as well,"
Trish replied.
"Yeah, but doesn't hurt to still ask," he said grabbing three and handing
one to her and one to Jesse, keeping the last one for himself.
"Well getting back to the topic, Paul saw a bath house I didn't know
about and we wanted to see if you'd join us for a dip," Jesse asked
before taking a chug.
"Sure, what about Sandra and the others?" Trish replied still fiddling
with her own bottle's lid.
"Jim wasn't home when we checked, and we got no answer at Dr. Zizu's
place," Paul answered as he took the bottle from Trish and opened it,
handing it back to her who muttered thanks in defeat.
"Well, I'd love to, just let me get out of this horrible outfit," Trish
said getting up.
"You never really hit me as an orange person anyway," Paul said grinning
knowing full well she hated the color. Trish responded by throwing an
orange at him from the fruit basket.

Jim walked up to the building Albert had told to meet him at. The Henshin
Bath House. Funny, he never noticed this place before, must have been
new. Shrugging he walked in. Inside the building was astounding. On both
sides of the room he now stood in were real waterfalls cascading down
from the top of the ceiling. They flowed down a clever arrangement of
rocks and stones to disappear into a pool on the floor. In between the
too small lagoons sat a bridge in which you crossed to get to the
facilities. What were even more of an amazement were the walls that had
been cleverly carved to look like walls of bamboo. All in all it was a
nice thing to see.
The lagoons wrapped around some corners into a much larger room meant for
the main lobby by what he could see. Among the room were a few benches
along with a small gift shop and concession stand. All the while keeping
the bamboo feel making him feel as if he was walking in a forest. At the
far center stood a small podium in which a young girl with pink hair
stood. As he got closer he noticed she was dressed in a traditional
Chinese gown. Its red and green pattern was quite a sight. Her hair had
been done up in a couple of pink spheres, making her look very cute.
"Hello! Welcome to the Henshin Bath House!" she said in pure
cheerfulness. Jim smiled but before he could speak she continued, "My
name is Amy Masuki, how may I help you?"
"Hello miss, I was wondering if my friend Dr. Albert Zizu had shown up
yet?" he asked. Amy flipped through the pages of her logbook for a few
seconds before replying.
"No, I'm sorry no one by that name has been here today"
"Must have gotten here before him, oh well," he said sitting down. He did
live half way closer to the building then they did, given their car they
should be here soon though, he thought walking over to a bench and
sitting down. He gave another look around the room and let his mind
wander.
***
Alex was board. So board he had gone for a walk at this hour in this
weather. It had stopped raining though and only the occasional bolt of
lighting interrupted the beautiful blackness of the sky. He was wearing
his favorite combination of clothing. Some black pants, a red shirt with
the word 'Dragon' on the chest, black shoes and socks plus his favorite
red and black jacket. If it had been day he'd have put his sunglasses
over his brown eyes, but it was night so he left them sadly in his pocket
being one who liked wearing sunglasses. His red hair sticking up in weird
spots as usual. He adjusted the sword on his back before turning a corner
heading for the edge of town.
The sword was his most prized possession. It was a simple wooden bokken,
well on the outside anyway, but it meant a lot to him. He was just glad
Paul wasn't around to see him now, he wouldn't even have brought it if he
didn't think he may need it tonight. It had taken a long time practicing
behind his brothers back, and talking to various people in the town's law
department just so he could carry the thing around town, but he had
managed to become quiet the swordsman in the past three years. How he
managed to keep it a secret from his brother Paul surprised him even.
He knew his bro. Suspected something, especially since he had been
beefing up a little thanks to all the training, but he managed to tell
his bro. It was just because he had been getting out more (to train) and
that gave him a bit more exercise. But he just couldn't let Paul find
out. He just wasn't sure how the guy would take it.
As he yawned he decided to scope out what was open, perhaps he'd find
something interesting? After all, he always liked the strange stuff you
found on days like this. Alex was the weird one in school. The one who
was into magic and robots, a strange combination in itself. He was the
clam and silent type. Never seemed to get THAT angry, nor did he say
much. In truth he was kinda shy, but others tacked it to him being weird.
He was the person you didn't ask a question to unless you wanted a
truthful answer, as he refused to sugar coat.
Walking from place to place, seeing that most places were closed, he came
across a bathhouse that was open. The Henshin Bath House, well he didn't
usually go to places like that, but what the heck? Might as well treat
himself. He never noticed the shadow that had watched both him and Jim
enter a few minutes later.
***
"Well look who's here!" Albert said as he and Sandra walked past the
waterfalls. Sandra glance slightly in the direction he had indicated to
see- Jim sitting on a bench! She ran quickly over and grabbed him in a
big hug.
"Jim!" She exclaimed happily pressing her body right up against his. Then
the implications of what just happened registered in her brain and she
just froze. Jim had been taken completely surprised by this reaction. He
knew Albert had probably brought him here to force him back into their
lives, especially after seeing where they had wanted him to go. But he
didn't expect the girl he loved to run up and hug him. He didn't mind it
at all of course, but a dream to suddenly snap into reality could frazzle
the mind a bit. It was at that point Sandra finally snapped back into
action and quickly let go.
"Uh, I'm sorry I... I don't know what came over me.." She said turning
pink in the cheeks.
"Er, no problem," Jim gave in response a bit flustered. Sandra really
didn't understand what had come over her. She had been a bit worried
about Jim when he began to avoid her for the past three days, but she had
thought it hadn't bothered her all that much. But when she saw him
sitting on that bench, she just had the over powering desire to run up
and hug him, so happy to see him once more. Her feelings for him must be
stronger then she anticipated. Then things got really interesting. Jesse,
Trish, and Paul walked in. They had just walked past the waterfalls
themselves and immediately looked over at the crowd of three.
"Hey!" Paul said pointing, "It's Zizu, Jim, and Sandra!"
"Hi guys!" Jesse said walking up, "What brings you all down here?"
"Well Sandra saw this place and decided to check for a job application.
Plus use the springs, what about you?" Albert answered.
"We are just here to spend a nice dip in the Hot Springs," Trish
answered, "And what luck! We are all here together!"
"This is great!" Sandra said making sure the topic of what she and Jim
just did didn't come up, "Let's get started!"
"Yeah! Everyone yelled in agreement. They walked up to Amy who, after
introducing herself again, asked for their names so she could put them in
the logbook.
"I'm Dr. Albert Zizu," Albert began, "This is Sandra Myzikui, (The last
name had been given to Jake so he could attend school) Jim Suzuko, Jesse
Yusko, Paul Beogard, and Trish Yolie." Amy jotted the names down quickly
and directed them to a hallway behind her.
"Wait, do you have any applications?" Sandra asked before she disappeared
around the corner to the left.
"Oh I'm sorry, we aren't' hiring at the moment," Amy said a strange look
on her face. Sandra thought a moment why not when she appeared to be the
only person working here, but shrugged it off as the company having their
reasons and left it at that. Not long into the group's trek did they come
to a split in the particular hallway they had been following. One had a
pink sign with the word 'Females' and the other had a blue sign with the
word 'Male' Obviously it was time for the two groups to separate into the
appropriate gender.
"Well we'll see you lady's in the spring!" Albert said as he, Jim, and
Paul began to walk down one hallway.
"Ok see you later!" Jesse called back, "Boy am I glad they had a co-
gender spring, that way I get to be with Paul!" She said smiling as Trish
and Sandra followed her.
"Yeah...," Trish sighed, "Must be nice."
"Don't you still have Zeek?" Jesse asked.
"Ha! He wasn't worth my time," Trish said faking a dignified posture.
"He dumped ya didn't he?" Jesse stated.
"SHUT UP!" Trish yelled becoming red, "That Jerk just wasn't worth it!"
Sandra cracked up laughing. Trish almost yelled at Sandra, but after
receiving the knowing smile from Jesse, just surrendered and sighed into
silence. Sandra had needed that, she had almost walked with Albert and
the other guys till she remembered she wasn't a guy anymore, and had been
feeling a bit out of place among side Jesse and Trish. But that quickly
passed as she found herself conversing with them on stuff like clothing,
and music.
'Perhaps I could get use to being Sandra after all,' Sandra thought to
herself.
***
The Shadow that had been watching entered the building. It was a male,
long black hair, and a rather small mustache. He wore a black shirt and
pants combo over which he wore his brown trench coat. The guy looked
around for a bit sneering at the interior before walking up to the girl
who was running the check in counter. This person Amy did NOT smile at,
she had been waiting for this one. Instead she asked:
"May I help you sir?" The guy snickered.
"Did a guy named Jim come in here?" he asked in an unpleasant tone. Amy
pretended to check her book.
"Why yes, he is in one of our private springs, shall I give him a message
someone is here to see him?" She asked.
"No thanks I'd rather tell himself just point the way," the guy said
ruffling his hair and growing impatient with this conversation.
"Of course sir, may I have your name so I can log you in?" She asked
although she knew full well what it was already.
"Triver," the guy said, "Triver Dreker, now can I go already?"
"Yes sir, it's down the right hallway, the door marked fourteen," she
said trying to remain pleasant. Triver pushed past her and stormed off
down the right hall. Jim was going to pay for that night, no one denied
Triver Dreker anything and got away with it. He was going to have Sandra
no matter what! Amy watched him go and smiled almost wickedly. Then
turning to a small group of shadows she announced.
"It's done." Two red eyes opened within the darkness and a section seems
to take form and walk right out. The figure that appeared was decked in
strange silver armor. The shoulder blades of the armor extend past the
arms while a large coin decorated with a plus symbol and a different
color jewel in each section hung in the center. A boarder that looked
much like a checker's boarder boarded the coin, while the colored gems
appeared as red in the top right, yellow in the top left, blue in the
bottom right, and green in the bottom left. A belt hung at his waist with
a strange red marking that resembled a 'G' sat in the buckle area. Along
with silver gauntlets, and silver metal boots a black cape completed the
costume. The figure had short brown hair and a mustache. The red glow
stopped and his brown eyes glittered with amusement as he smiled at the
young girl.
"Excellent work Amy, now let the fun begin!" he said holding up a bottle
of pink fluid and a bottle of golden fluid.
***
"You both remembered your bathing suits right?" Jesse asked as she
undressed to get her own suit on.
"I did," Sandra said, the statement being followed by Trish a few seconds
later. As Sandra undressed she found herself not interested in the other
two girls who were undressing with her. She was a girl all right, as Jake
she would have obviously been excited by this spectacle, but now all she
noticed was that her breasts were bigger then theirs. That was a strange
thought to think. Do all females compare breast size?
Jesse as usual for her was wearing green. A one piece green bathing suit
in fact. Trish dressed into a yellow bathing suit that connected the top
and bottom pieces by two strands on each side giving a nice view of the
belly. Sandra however had only the two piece blue bathing suit she had
worn in the mall that one day. Trish and Jesse looked her over
approvingly. "You've got the figure for that alright, Jim will be
pleased," Jesse commented. Sandra blushed trying to hide it with her
hand.
"I told you, it's not like that..," she protested.
"Sandra, I want to ask you something," Trish said placing her hand on
Sandra's shoulder. Sandra stopped blushing and looked up at Trish a bit
wary. This sounded serious.
"Sandra, you don't' have to answer right now, but I want you to think
about this. Do you think you'd be happier being a male friend to Jim, or
his girlfriend?" Sandra was startled by this question and all she could
do was just stare at Trish, the two choices running through her mind.
Trish straightened back up and smiled.
"When you have an answer I'll support you decision. But I hope you think
about this carefully. It's...its not easy being alone." She said before
turning away and heading for the spring. Sandra gazed after her before
she was gently shaken out of it by Jesse.
"Come on," she said, for once not caring that she wasn't in control of
the situation, "The guys are waiting for us." Sandra nodded slowly,
clearing her mind of the matter for the moment. Smiling to show she was
ok, she followed Jesse to the door that lead to the spring.
***
"Empty!" A girl wearing a strange type of black uniform said as she shut
a door that lead to a broom closet. She brushed her reddish pink hair out
of her emerald green eyes as she moved on to the next door. This one was
also a closet.
"Nothing here either!" Zellia said becoming aggravated, she knew that bio-
thing Sandra was here, but for the life of her she couldn't find the
door that lead to the spring! She continued down the hall opening door to
door finding small rooms, bathrooms, and many, many closets. Her thoughts
annoyingly wandered back to the past three days since she had taken this
form. She had been bombarded with feelings she had discovered to be fear,
happiness, and embarrassment. All things a Dark Zone creature was not, or
should not be capable of! But thanks to the now human DNA she had in her
veins, she felt it all. Fear of Xelt at the way he looked at her,
happiness and relief to be free of him for even a little bit, and last of
all embarrassment when she had to figure out how to dress her 'new' body.
Everyday seemed to bring a new emotion she didn't understand and the fact
that she still couldn't find the damn springs only lead to more and more
aggravation. But at least IT was a familiar feeling. She would make that
Sandra creature pay for what she did, she would make her pay for what
Zellia herself had become. After she had become the one now known as
Zellia, everything had changed. Normally Zark had been known to crush his
enemies and spare only those who just happened to be in the wrong place
at the wrong time. He could have destroyed Sandra last time if he had
taken any of her friends hostage when he first appeared in the mall, but
he didn't' believe in doing such a thing. Something unheard of in the
Dark Zone but he had never cared, he would not be labeled an animal.
Even now, after what had happened to him, now her. She still refused such
tactics, what was the point for attacking those who are not the target?
In order to execute a mission quickly you must ignore all other obstacles,
and besides, hiding behind another's life is cowardly. Not to mention
immoral.
Zellia froze. She had just thought... She had just thought something was
immoral. She knew what the term meant they had studied the human ways
long ago on the day the Dark Zone had been created. But.. but for the
longest time no inhabitant of the Dark Zone had ever felt like they knew
what the word meant internal. Yet she had just felt it like it had been
one with her for years. She shuddered inwardly, Sandra was surely to blame
for this! Ever since Zellia had taken on this body everything has reminded
her of Sandra!
The one who's DNA made her this way! She had even grown younger due to
the transformation, making her looked younger then Xelt! The nerve of such
a thing! Before as Zark she had looked at least in what the human's would
consider his mid thirties, which was far older then what Xelt looked. Him
looking around what she guessed the human's considered twenty-five. But
now, now she looked no more then nineteen! The insult! What was worse is
Xelt began to actually CALL her a kid! Imagine! Zark the Dark Zone
inhabitant who out ranked him for years being called a kid by the second
in command!
She seethed with anger at the mere memory. This body had come with too
many unwanted attributes, and she was anxious to destroy the one who's
fault it was she now wore it. Sandra would pay, she'd make sure of it!
Moving to the next door she opened it to find a large pool of water in
which at the other end she could barly make out the form of a person. At
last! Her revenge would be realized! Just as she stepped into the room,
she was quite suddenly yanked out by her arm back into the hallway.
Startled she glanced around to find the Pink haired girl who had been
running the front standing there. She had of course teleported in by the
Dark Zone and was frantically trying to find a way out of this that didn't
involve having to engage the girl in battle. She had the strangest urge
not to push this girl away. As Zark she wouldn't have fought the girl but
would have at least immobilized her, yet now she couldn't bring herself to
hurt this girl. Just what was happening to her?
"I'm sorry miss, you can't enter that spring," the pink haired girl told
her leading her away from the door and her victory, "At least not in your
normal clothing, did you have trouble finding the dressing room miss...?"
Zellia frantically tried to think up a story.
"Um, Zellia Umi," she replied quickly hoping to simply evade any questions
of why this girl may not remember her signing in, "It's no problem really,
I, I like bathing in my clothes"
"Don't be silly!" The pink haired girl giggled leading her into a room
that appeared to be a place for her to dress, "Did you forget your bathing
suit? Is that the problem?"
"Uh yeah! Yeah, that's it! So I guess I'll just have to make due in these
clothes," Zellia said slightly embarrassed. Her mind and the new feelings
were going haywire as she stood there trying to focus on her mission. She
had undressed before seeing just what her new body looked like, but
wasn't sure what she thought about it yet. Something in her seemed to make
her feel like this was natural, like this body was right for her, yet she
knew she wasn't happy with the change. Was the bio-droid programmed in
someway to feel natural as an earth female and it had moved to her when
she had become Zellia?
"Don't worry Miss Zellia! I happen to make sure we have spare suits in
case this ever happens! Here!" The girl spoke up again shoving a couple of
pieces of clothing in her hands and then turning to leave the room.
"I'll be waiting outside for you and then will show you back to the hot
spring," the girl said as she shut the door. Zellia sighed, the girl had
spoken so fast she had been unable to protest. No doubt she wouldn't let
her out of this room either without first being dressed in the bathing
suit she had given her. So accepting defeat she picked up her bathing suit
and looked it over. Is this what earth females wore? She wasn't sure she
liked this idea, but didn't see any other option so undressing she put on
the offered clothing.
Zellia stepped out of the dressing room wearing a two piece pink
swimsuit, the bra twisting in the middle almost as if it backward on one
side. But after some quick examining Zellia realized it was just an
illusion and the thing was in fact on correctly. Funny she had put it on
like she had been born and raised doing this everyday, that bio-droid must
have had some program to help her blend in as a female, and it must have
also been applied to her when she had become a girl. Looking around she
noticed the pink haired girl had indeed been waiting for her.
"Come with me please!" She said cheerfully leading Zellia back to the
spring where she had first found her. The girl opened the door and
gestured her in, something Zellia was quick to accept. Looking through the
mist that covered the small spring, she could again make out the form of a
person.
'This is it,' She thought to herself as she walked into the spring toward
her victim.

Triver strode down the hall counting the numbers off silently in his
head. He had just past door numbered eleven. It wouldn't be long now! Jim
had gotten away with that babe of a girl and Triver wanted her for
himself! He had been so enraged he had just left the school and missed out
on that attack the other people of the town had been raging about. He
wasn't too sure on the details but he heard it was some female who had
come to the rescue instead of Jake! In fact no one had seen anything of
Jake for days now! That meant he wasn't around to stop him from claiming
Sandra as his own. He could have just gone after her, but Jim needed to be
taught a lesson. The nerve of that punk thinking he could score a babe
such as that!
Triver cracked his knuckles as he came across door number fourteen.
Smiling most mischievously he opened the door and strode in. He glanced
around and saw a dark silhouette near the back of the pool. It was too
small to be a group of people, focusing his eyes, he could make out the
wacky hairdo of Jim. Excellent! He had been worried about what he was
going to do to separate Jim from Paul and Albert as Triver didn't want to
tangle with either of them, but looks like he lucked out, that fool Jim
was alone!
Not wasting any time he quickly began to silently make his way toward the
punk, making sure not to disturb the water too much as he didn't want the
chicken running off before he got there! He was just about able to make
out the silhouette now, as he just had a few feet to go. Feeling anxious
about all the pains he was going to administer he finally leaped forward
in a punch yelling.
"Now your gonna get it punk!" His fist flying through the air. Smacking
dead center on a particularly large rock.
"ARRRRRRRRG!" Triver screamed in pain quickly pulling his now bloody hand
back in shock, causing him to topple over onto his rear end. He screamed
again as the wounded hand came in contact with the particularly hot
water. What happened? This rock didn't' look anything like Jim now, but he
could have sworn only a few minutes ago it had been an almost exact copy!
Cussing he went to get up when he realized something was holding him down.
Confused he glanced down only to see the water gently flowing over his
legs and waste. Getting angry now he forced himself to get up only to be
unable to budge! It was as if the water itself was holding him down!
"What the fuck?" He yelled plunging his good hand below the surface to
feel around his legs. It seemed like normal water to him. That's when he
realized he couldn't bring his hand back up. Getting worried now, he began
to tug at his arm trying to free it from whatever invisible trap seemed to
be holding it. Then he noticed the water had stopped flowing gently. For
one of the few times in Triver's life did he feel fear as the water began
to crawl up his stomach to his chest, and along his arm as well. It was if
the water was alive and wanted to consume him. Triver did the one thing he
had never done in his life ever before. He screamed in terror.
Suddenly the ground seemed to disappear beneath him and he was all too
soon surrounded by water as he plunged into it. Panicking, he swam back
toward the surface only to meet a sheet of resistance. He had just enough
control to calm down enough to look up and see his reflection in what
appeared to be a sheet of ice covering the spring. Yet the temperature of
the spring was still as warm as ever! In despair he began to beat on the
sheet of ice his eyes closed in fear, his mind racing with the thought of
running out of air. Then his body began to burn in a strange way. It
didn't' hurt, but it wasn't exactly pleasant either.
Forgetting where he was and not realizing he had begun breathing again
even though he was still underwater he glanced at his body trying to find
the source of the strangeness. He stared in disbelief as his trenchcoat
disappeared as if it evaporated into the water. Then as his pants seemed
to shrink up into a pair of pink swimming trunks along with something
strange happening to his underwear. Next came his shirt as it rearranged
into a yellow tank top, but he could feel the distinct feeling of
something underneath it. Lifting the top slightly to peer down it, he saw
the unmistakable form of a small white bra. That's when he realized both
the tank top and shorts were something you might find on one of those
young teenage girls. He could only guess his underwear now resembled a
pair of panties.
Appalled by this change of clothing he almost didn't notice the even
greater change that had just begun! Both his legs had suddenly began to
seem to shrink in size as the hair seemed to simply erase from them, his
feet now somehow bare, became smaller and dainty. Horrified he looked to
see both his arms following suit, the hair already gone and his hands
becoming smaller and more delicate. His panic renewed, he began pounding
on the ice coating once more ever desperate to leave this sea of horror.
Then he realized he was shrinking in size himself and his efforts were
doubled, but no progress could be felt. It was as if he was fighting a
steel wall.
He felt his prize private dwindle away and felt something strange and new
take it's place, something he didn't want to consider at the moment, and
it was even worse when he felt two lumps grow into the bra he now wore.
Then he felt his hairs seem to recede and the burning feeling was gone.
Opening his eyes he gasped at the thing before him, only then realizing he
had been breathing underwater, but the thought of what was reflected in
front of him was taking the majority of his thoughts at the moment.
Staring back at him was a small teenage girl of about fourteen years of
age. Her figure not quite an eye full yet, but one could see that when she
grew older it would shape itself to men's desires. Her face was that of a
very cute girl, along with her blue eyes and short blond hair. The hair
being done up in two small pigtails no more then a half an inch wide. One
seemed to stick out near the top of her head while the other poked out to
the side on the left side of her head. By then she had already forgotten
who she had once been and fell into unconsciousness as her memories of
being Triver seemed to wash away and were replaced by newer ones...
***
Jim plopped down into the spring with a sigh of relief letting the warm
waters enwrap his body. His happiness was copied by both Paul and Albert
as they too sank into the waters soothing depths wearing the same black
swimming trunks he had on. Jim glanced out across the spring to see a
fine sheet of mist blanketing the air. He could hear a waterfall in the
distance, perhaps flowing into the spring keeping it well filled. It felt
as if he had passed through a magical doorway from the town and walked
straight into a hot spring in a forest. The change was well approved in
his opinion.
"Ah nothing like a dip in this stuff!" Paul exclaimed.
"Here, here," Both Albert and Jim replied.
"Oh?" a feminine voice spoke as two hands closed over Paul's eyes, "I
think I can think of something better."
"Like giving my girlfriend a kiss?" Paul laughed as he grabbed the arms
and pulled Jesse around in front of him. Jesse giggled just before her
lips met Paul's own. Jim just shook his head.
"Hello girls," he said into the mist as two shapes took form. The first
to appear was Trish followed soon by Sandra. Jim saw the blue two piece
bathing suit she had worn in the mall that one day, and the blush he had
felt when he first saw it was back in an instant. He loved seeing her in
that. He only wished she were doing the same thing Jesse was doing with
her boyfriend. Perhaps... Perhaps if he had managed to tell her how he
felt. But no, he still couldn't do it. Not yet anyway.
Sandra was feeling VERY nervous, and her blush showed it. She no longer
felt the strangeness of being in this new body, her week of being in this
body had changed that, but she still felt that awkwardness when she was
around Jim. She knew she liked him, but was it the reason she always felt
out of place around him? The only thing that bothered her more then that
was if she would never get over it. Well only one way to find out she had
to get Jim alone for a sec so she could talk to him.
She watched as Trish settled down next to Jesse, who of course had
plopped next to her boyfriend. Albert came next and then on the other end
sat Jim. Well, might as well she thought setting down close by not to
close to him. Jim looked over smiling nervously and waved, which she
copied action for action. Including the nervous smile. She never noticed
the black shadow that watched from only a short distance away.
The shadow grew closer and closer, leaping from rock to rock in order to
not disturb the water. The shadow was almost there, boy wouldn't she be
surprised! It was just few feet from Trish. Now was as great a time as
any to announce it's presence. Leaping out it landed feet first on a rock
just in view of the group effectively catching their attention. The group
stared quite strangely at the young blond girl of about fourteen whom had
just joined them.
"Trish-Chan! How dare you not wait for me to get home after two months at
grandpa's house before going out for the night!" The young girl replied
her hands on her hips as she leaned slightly forward. Her yellow tank top,
which was a bit too big, fell down one arm exposing part of her white bra,
which held her small A cup breast. Not much yet, but obviously as she
grew, so would they. She wore a pair of small pink shorts and no footgear.
Her hair was done up in two very small pigtails and her face was a mask of
scorn.
"Amieko! I didn't think you'd be back until after midnight!" Trish
exclaimed causing all eyes to fall on her.
"We arrived a whole lot sooner then that as you can see!" Amieko said her
face sorrowful, "I was so anxious to see you when I got home only to find
out you had gone out!"
"I'm sorry sister, tell you what to make it up to you I'll take you any
place you want to go tomorrow, and we'll do something fun while there!"
Trish said smiling up at her younger sister. It was funny Amieko had only
been gone for a couple of months visiting their grandparents, but to
Trish it seemed like she had been waiting for this day forever. The
promise she just made however seemed to do the trick as Amieko's face lit
up, making Trish feel good.
"You mean it?" Amieko said excited her hands going to her chin, "Just the
two of us?"
"Of course, now come over so I can introduce you to my friends!" Trish
said glad her sister wasn't angry anymore. That was Amieko all right, a
bundle of energy that could be easily upset sometimes, but even easier to
make happy again. If only Amieko wasn't so prone to adventures.
"Well..." Amieko said as if she was trying to decide weather or not to
accept the offer, "OK!" Then running back a few paces she ran forward and
leaped into the air rolling into a little ball.
"Cannonball!" She screamed happily before splash down, soaking everyone
everywhere. A few seconds later her head popped back up a big grin on her
face, her hair dripping wet along with everyone else's. Everyone wasn't
happy to be wet suddenly, but was more interested in how Trish and Amieko
were sisters.
"I didn't know you had a sister," Sandra said after see managed to push
her wet hair back behind her ears.
"Yeah, It's funny I never mentioned her before, she had been spending the
last two months at our grandparents as she had wanted to visit them. She
was due back late tonight so I didn't think she'd get here before I got
home, guess I was wrong!" Trish said letting Amieko plop down next to her.
"Amieko," She began pointing at Sandra, "This is my friend Sandra, Next
to her is her boyfriend Jim, (both Sandra and Jim tried to protest at this
but Trish continued ignoring them) That's Dr. Albert Zizu, and there's
Jesse who you know with her boyfriend Paul. Everyone this is my younger
sister Amieko!" Everyone extended his or her greetings to Amieko, who in
turn thanked everyone and extended her greeting in return.
"Hey didn't you know a robot or something named Jake?" Amieko asked
looking around in wonder, "Where is he at?" All except Amieko began to
look around awkwardly.
"Er...," they said in union.
"I'll tell you about it later," Trish said quickly putting her hand on
Amieko's shoulder. Amieko considered this for a few seconds before saying
ok and settled back down. After that there was much joking and playing
around which is when Sandra decided to gently beckon Jim away from the
group. When they were safely away from the other's hearing range she
stopped and let them both sit back down.
"So, um, you ok?" Jim asked wondering what was up and also vocalizing the
worry he had built up over the past few days about her, "You know after
what happened in the mall?" Sandra nodded indicating she was fine.
"I'm fine, it was almost as if Zark was subconsciously holding back... I
wonder about him sometimes. I wonder if he truly wants to fight us?" Jim
snorted.
"He tried to kill you Sandra, I'd say he's evil. If he hadn't jumped in
with that mirror Sandra might not be sitting here before him. He had
almost killed Sandra twice and was definitely not on Jim's top likable
list at the moment."
"I know Jim, but he didn't harm any of you did he? He only went after me,
I mean think about it, that day in the clothing store. He was standing
right there, but instead of using one of you as a barging chip, he fought
me one on one, in a fair fight, like a man of honor. He didn't even attack
me when I was down in that smoke cloud," she said lost in thought. Jim
hated to admit it, but he had to agree. Perhaps Zark wasn't the monster
he'd like him to be, but he still felt rage for what Zark had tried to do.
"Anyway, that's not why I brought you over here," Sandra said deciding to
get to the point. Jim looked up in wonder, he hoped he was ready for what
she was about to ask as he had a pretty good idea of what it was.
"I want to know, why.. why have you been avoiding me lately?" She asked
looking straight into his eyes. Yep, he thought, it was what he thought
all right. Taking a deep breath he prepared his answer.
"We both know this last week has been full of changes," Jim said, "Some
of them have brought up much to think about and I need some time to sort
stuff out. You must trust me Sandra, I need to do this on my own." Sandra
was not all that pleased with the answer but she understood that much had
happened and perhaps some time to herself to think about things more was
what she needed.
"Well ok," She said, "As your friend I'll go along with this, but I
wouldn't mind getting together to do something say next week?" Jim smiled
and nodded, sounded nice to him.
"You know we can tell the others and all go do something fun," She added,
Jim nodded again, that would make it easier as the others would be there
too.
"It's a date," He said then blushed as he realized what he said, Sandra
blushed too but didn't' say anything. Instead she decided to change the
subject.
"So...," she said searching for a topic, "Anything interesting happen
lately?" Both her and Jim laughed.

Zellia was close to her target now. She could see the figure now although
not clear enough to make out who it was, only that it appeared to be
male. Could be that human who deflected his blast with a mirror or the
other one who hung around that black haired female. For once she was glad
of her new form realizing they wouldn't know who she was and she may just
be able to ask if they could take her to Sandra, claiming to have met her
at some store or something. Trying to act normal, she began to walk into
view working out the details of her plan, when she rammed her foot into a
stone that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere in the spring, causing
her to yelp slightly and lose her balance falling directly on the person.
Alex had been enjoying himself in the pool, his clothing and sword set
neatly upon a nearby rock. He had lost himself in thought long ago and
didn't realize there was someone there until she literally feel on top of
him. In one smooth motion however, he had twisted his body around until
she was under him facing up as he looked down pinning her. Only then did
he realize just how beautiful this girl was as she lay under him. He
cursed silently as his private stood at attention brushing up against her.
'Great,' he thought, 'This certainly means she's gonna be pissed at me.
Why does it have to be me?' Too focused on just what she was doing
sneaking up on him however he decided he'd just have to live with it.
After all, he had never cared before what females thought of him. Zellia
had been surprised at the skill of this human being able to pin her, and
the strength he displayed at being able to keep her there. She had learned
just how much a mistake it was to consider Jake weaker as a female when
she herself found she was in no way weaker in this body unless you counted
the strange new sensations.
She also noticed something brushing her down 'there'. Angry she looked up
into her target's eyes, when she felt something else take control
suddenly.
His eyes and face seemed pleasant to her, in a way she couldn't place.
Suddenly the feeling of being in this person's hold wasn't so bad
anymore. She felt a strange rush of pleasure at the brushing sensation
even, and was growing quickly fearful.
"Who are you? What do you want?" the man asked, she quickly summoned up
her business face, trying to ignore the other sensations being with this
man was giving her.
"Zellia, I've come to find Sandra, do you know where she is?" She asked
coldly. Sandra? Alex thought, he had heard his brother Paul mentioning
Jake had become Sandra. Something he was interested in seeing but had been
too busy moving for the past few days to do so. But what did this girl
want with her? While he thought that he realized just what she was
wearing, and his eyes gazed down to her breasts and back up to her face.
He blushed as he realized she was well equipped and her face was that of
what he'd expect on a teenage movie star. Angry at himself for blushing he
responded.
"What do you want with her?" He asked trying to keep his voice clam.
"I need to talk to her, I... I just need to ask her something," Zellia
replied, she had been thinking of a story on how she might have met
Sandra and why she needed to talk to her, but for some reason she couldn't
get her mind off of how close this person's face was. She felt she wanted
to do something with his face even closer, but she couldn't understand
what.
"Unfortunately I don't' know where she is, my brother knows, perhaps I
can give you my number?" Alex said letting her up glad she didn't appear
to be angry. He knew most boys would try to get the GIRL'S number, but he
didn't feel like pressing his luck. Zellia got up, strangely saddened by
the fact he had distanced himself. These feelings were so strange, she
didn't know what to do, and she only barly heard what the guy said.
"Uh, sure," She said taking a piece of paper he handed her and watched
him put the note pad and pen back into his jacket which he had just gotten
them from. "I don't have one for you I'm afraid."
"That's ok, pretty girls aren't prone to giving me their numbers anyway,"
Alex said, mentally kicking himself for saying such a thing. If she
wasn't mad before she could very well be now! Zellia on the other hand
felt strangely happy to hear him say she was pretty, for some reason that
pleased her. Blushing she felt the strange emotions grow stronger, she
wanted to ask more but the feelings were beginning to overpower her,
despite that she managed to get one more question out, though it wasn't'
what she expected to ask.
"You, you think I'm pretty?" she asked, finding that for some reason that
seemed more important then finding Sandra at the moment. Alex gave her a
puzzled look wondering if this was some trick to try and goad him into
giving her some cash or something. He hated to admit it, but he didn't
have pleasant experiences with women.
"Well of course, I mean, pardon my sounding corny but well. You look like
an angel," he said ready to see just how she'd react. Of all the things he
expected, it certainly wasn't what she did! Blushing heavily she couldn't
deny the joy that answer gave her. This was so very strange, and she just
couldn't take it anymore, turning without a word she ran from the spring
unknowingly gripping the paper with the number in her hand tightly.
"Wa-WAIT!" Alex yelled after her startled, "I'm Alex! Ask for me when you
call the number!" He watched her go leaving as quickly as she had
appeared. He couldn't help picturing her face in his mind. There was
something about her... Something that made him want to see her again...
He stood there for a few minutes more before deciding to head for home,
and began to head back to the dressing room.
***
Jim and Sandra had been talking about this and that, enjoying themselves
when Jesse walked up.
"Here they are! Ran off to be 'alone' together!" She called over her
shoulder.
"It's not like that at all!" They both immediately shout standing
straight up. Jesse laughed as Amieko and Trish came into view followed by
Paul and Albert
.
"Oh come off it we know you two were just DYING to be alone!" Trish
laughed. She was rewarded by getting hit in the face by a wave of spring
water both Jim and Sandra had directed at her.
"Hey!" Trish exclaimed getting soaked for the second time that night.
"Retaliate!" Amieko suddenly yelled grinning mischievously as she threw a
wave of water back at them, Trish grinned wickedly and quickly followed
suit as her and her younger sister sent wave after wave at the two.
"Eek! Counter Counter!" Sandra called to her partner as they began to
throw waves back at the girls accidentally splashing Jesse in the process.
"Hey! What did I do?" Jesse called out soaked. Paul laughed.
"Your all wet girls!" he said. Splash! He stood there soaked by the wave
Jesse had just sent at him. Then her and the Yolie sisters tried to get
Albert standing a little farther off who jumped out of the way.
"Ha! Missed me!" he said only to be caught by a wave from Sandra and Jim.
He stood their wet as well, before raising his hand above his head.
"Alright! This means war!" He shouted right before a water war broke out
between everyone and anyone. Sandra and Jim seemed to act as a team while
Trish and Amieko did the same, but everyone else just got whomever they
could. This went on for a good five minutes before Albert looked at his
waterproof watch.
"It's getting late," he announced, "We'd better get ready to head home."
Everyone agreed a little sad the time had come to an end and began to
head back for the dressing rooms.
"Hey Jim," Sandra called causing him to drop back from the group. He
walked over and stood before her. Sandra's face had a strange expression
on it, as if she was debating weather or not to do something. Then she
looked up and spoke.
"Don't take too long to sort things out ok? I miss you," And with that
she gave him a peck on the cheek before turning and running off. Startled,
Jim lifted his hand to the place where she had kissed his cheek and just
stood there.
"Hey Jim ya coming?" Paul called out a few seconds later. Jim shook his
head clearing it and turned to catch up.
"Yeah, yeah I'm coming," he said.
***
It was ten minutes later and they were all in the main room heading for
the door dressed back in their normal clothing. All except for Amieko who
appeared to have come here as she was. Trish scolded her on that and told
her to bring a change of clothes next time. Amieko nodded slightly
embarrassed.
"I hope you all enjoyed your stay!" Amy said just as cheerful as ever.
The group nodded their approval.
"We did thank you! We'll be sure to come back!" Sandra replied. Amy
smiled.
'Not likely' She said knowing this place would be gone after they left.
Such was the way of this particular BathHouse. She winked at Amieko who
felt like she should know why that wink seemed appropriate somehow. Amieko
was just happy to be home and soon forgot about it anyway.
"Hey guys Sandra and I were thinking," Jim said grabbing everyone's
attention, "We want to do something as a group next week, what do you
say?"
"That's sounds like a great idea!" Paul said, "Like what though?"
"Well I know this carnival," Albert offered, "I could drive us up there
in the hover car."
"I'm game," Jesse said.
"Use too!" Trish added, Amieko's face brightened.
"You mean I can come with you?" She said her eyes full of hope.
"Of course we'd be glad to have you," Sandra said, "Your part of the
group now!"
"Yay!" Amieko said jumping a
