Foreign Life 4: Magic in the Night
Sandra looked out at the passing scenery as she road in the back seat
of the Hover Car. She wore a simple black tank top that looked more
like a midriff the way it showed off her belly and hugged her bosom. To
match it, she wore a pair of tight, but not too tight shorts. Her
footwear was a simple pair of black sneakers with white socks. Jim who
was next to her, (much to her pleasure and embarrassment) was wearing a
blue short sleeve shirt and a pair of black jeans. His footwear
slightly resembled Sandra's as they too were black sneakers but with
black socks instead of white. Trish was parked on the other side of
Jim. She was wearing a yellow short sleeve shirt with normal blue
jeans. She was however wearing two emerald stone earrings that drew
attention. Her footwear was white sneakers and socks. Trish was
grinning inwardly although she did feel a little jealous at how Jim and
Sandra were at this moment.
Trish had nudged Jim up next to Sandra and to her great surprise, he
settled down up against her, as she laid her head upon his shoulder.
Trish couldn't believe it, she wanted to tell Jesse but Jesse was
riding with her boyfriend Paul. Still it was nice to see them acting in
such a way, perhaps they were almost ready to admit their feelings for
each other.
Amieko was happily riding shotgun. Trish had smiled when Amieko had
become so happy when Trish had allowed her to sit upfront. She was
fourteen, but acted younger then that sometimes. She was wearing the
same yellow tank top she had worn when she had met everyone in the
bathhouse that one night. (Which the group had been baffled over the
fact it had seemed to vanish from the face of the earth.) She wore pink
pants instead of shorts and had on some cute white sneakers. Dr. Zizu
was of course driving the car. Unfortunately they had been unable to
keep him from wearing anything but his normal Lab coat clothes.
It was about a week after the bathhouse incident. Jim had stopped by a
couple of more times during the time they had been planning this trip
with. They had begun to find themselves doing things they hadn't done
when Sandra had been Jake. They had been holding hands a lot, only to
realize it a few minutes later. They had also noticed themselves
sitting awfully close to each other on many occasions as well.
Paul and Jesse did stop by a few times, but had been getting ready for
the can drive that was growing ever closer. While Alex didn't know them
enough to stop by that much, he did make an appearance here and there.
Sandra felt sorry for Alex as she could see Zellia was on his mind.
Zellia had been Zark until apparently some of her own DNA had been used
to alter her, creating the body she now inhabited. She knew Alex knew
this, but it didn't seem to matter to him. She hoped Zellia was okay,
despite what she had done in the past. She also found herself wishing
she'd pop back up as well.
As for Trish, she had been spending some make up time with Amieko since
they had been apart for two months. They as well stopped by a few times
and Sandra had enjoyed the youthful spirit of Amieko. She knew that
come the Christmas season they'd have more time to spend together, but
it seemed like such a long way off. She was glad they had managed to go
on this trip though and despite it being winter the day had been
particularly warm. She also felt comfort in Jim's shoulder, but she was
too busy enjoying the day to realize just what she was doing.
That's when Paul and Jesse drove up next to the window she was looking
out of. Igor had become a motorcycle and was giving Paul a ride with
Jesse riding behind him. She bet Paul was a bit disappointed that he
wasn't the one driving, but he was at least getting there. There just
had been no more room in the hover car. Paul's attire was composed of
his football jersey (#13) along with a pair of blue jeans and the same
black sneakers that seemed to be so popular. Jesse holding tight behind
him, was wearing a green dress that was much like Sandra's blue one she
had worn in the mall battle. She wore a type of brown sandal shoes with
white socks on her feet. Both of course were wearing black helmets. She
heard Alex was getting there in some way, she believed it was the
"bike" Dr. Zizu had agreed to make for him. She could only guess as to
what kind of contraption the good doctor had come up with THIS time.
One thing was certain, it was sure to hover. She decided to wave the
thoughts from her head as the destination had risen up before them.
They pulled into a parking spot and filed out. Sandra and Jim blushing
when they realized how they had traveled during that time. Trish didn't
seem to be saying anything about it, so they quickly relaxed. Trish did
however tell Jesse the tale as Paul and Jesse got off, but Sandra
didn't see this.
"My bro should be waiting for us in the park," Paul said coming over;
Dr. Zizu nodded along with Jesse.
"Alright we'd better go meet him!" Albert said happily, no doubt
waiting to get a review on how the bike he made ran.
"Hold on we ladies need to freshen up!" Jesse said with Trish in tow.
Albert seemed a little impatient, but it quickly passed as he nodded
and smiled.
"Oh all right," He said plopping down on a nearby Picnic table.
The others laughed, good old Albert, always ready to see how his
creations were considered by others. Jim mentioned about seeing them
later as did Sandra. That's when Jesse and Trish walked up to the car
where Sandra was standing.
"I thought you were going to freshen up?" Sandra asked a bit confused.
"We LADIES need to freshen up and that includes YOU!" They said as they
grabbed hold of Sandra and dragged her with them.
"But! But!" Sandra protested as she was dragged off, too stunned to
break free.
"No buts! You need to learn how to be more feminine and WE are going to
teach you!" They both said as they disappeared into the women's
bathroom. Jim just laughed along with everyone else.
"Poor Sandra," Paul said, "Hey, I'm going to go ahead and meet up with
my bro," Jim and Albert nodded as Paul took off toward the field area
and around a building out of sight. Jim sat next to Albert while Igor
went off to check out some near by flowers.
"It's like it is in stories, the one who looks most like a monster is
the most gentle huh?" Jim said smiling as Igor began to smell the
flowers. Igor just gave a smile to Jim and continued to smell the
assortment of flowers in the small garden area closed off by a circle
of rocks. Dr. Zizu laughed.
"Well, what can I say, I'm pleased that both Sandra and Igor turned out
so well," He said.
"You really love them don't you? Uh Dr. Zizu," Jim said, afraid to use
the doctor's first name.
"Please I already told the girls and Paul this, call me Albert," Albert
replied, "As for your question, Yes I love them very much, but I still
don't consider myself their father."
"I guess since they don't have any of your DNA in them I can understand
that, but don't you feel-" Jim begins, before Albert cut him off.
"Like a father to them? Of course, but I wouldn't feel comfortable if
they started calling me that, partly for the reason you just mentioned
and partly because it just doesn't seem right to me. I guess you'll
just have to accept that answer for what it is." Albert sighed. Jim
only nodded, indicating that he understood.
"She is something special," Jim said, not realizing he didn't' include
Igor in that sentence. He had of course meant to say, 'they'. Albert
smiled upon hearing his words, but decided to poke around a little more
before saying anything else.
"So tell me Jim," He began, "what made you risk your life to protect
Sandra those two times?"
Jim was startled at the question being asked so suddenly. He blushed
hard, feeling stupid for doing so as it was probably obvious exactly
how he felt by the simple action. Yet after a few minutes he managed to
come up with the answer.
"Well doc, Jake has always been my friend and I wanted to repay him for
helping me," Jim said feeling guilty that he had kept the rest of the
reason hidden. Albert was not fooled for a second however.
"Doc, I mean Albert," Jim began before Albert had a chance to ask
another question, "You say Zellia is similar in DNA to Sandra right?"
Albert arched an eyebrow wondering why this had been brought up
suddenly.
"Yes, in DNA they are in a way very similar," Albert replied. Jim
nodded slightly.
"Like they were related?" Jim asked, Albert was startled a bit.
"Well, yes. Yes I'd say so," He replied having never thought of it that
simply before, perhaps being a scientist had something to do with his
overlooking it.
"Well," Jim said something clearly on his mind, "Does that mean Zellia
is Sandra's sister?"
Now THIS was something Albert would have never thought of. But it was a
valid question, was she? In the end he had to come to the reasonable
conclusion.
"Even though part of Zellia's DNA is that of a Dark Zone creature, it's
just like Zellia had a different mother but the same father so to
speak..." He said realizing just what this meant, "So yes, Zellia is
indeed Sandra's sister. Oh what am I going to tell Sandra?"
"I'll tell her," Jim said, surprising Albert, "It will be hard to find
the right time, but I promise I'll let her know. Please I'd rather I
tell her."
Albert nodded, he knew Jim enough to trust him. Though he did wonder,
after all it seemed to him Jim hated Zark. Or perhaps like Sandra was
no longer Jake, Jim considered the same for Zellia no longer being
Zark?
"One last question," Jim said.
"Shoot," Albert said.
"Is it possible to make Sandra Jake again?" Jim asked, not looking up
from where his gazed rested. Albert had been waiting for this question,
he knew just how to answer it too.
"Hmmmm," Albert said thinking, "Possibly, but the way it looks it's not
very likely. The entire thing relays heavily on what happened with my
discovery of the Dark Zone that lead to his creation in the first
place. I'll not discuss that at the moment however, please understand."
His face becoming a mask of conflict.
"Sounds fair," Jim said looking at the bathrooms, "I wonder why girls
ALWAYS take so long?" Dr. Zizu smiled his knowingly smile.
"Worried about her?" He asked.
"Yeah," Jim said without thinking, this time he did realize what he had
just said however, "Uh, that is I... uh..." Albert laughed.
"You really like her don't you?" He asked.
Jim blushed for a bit, but then just quietly nodded. Albert placed both
of his hands on Jim's shoulders then making sure Jim was looking him in
the eyes.
"Listen Jim, it's no secret you like Sandra, but I dare say it's moved
beyond that. I believe you in fact love her with all your heart and
soul." Albert said his gaze serious and steady.
Jim only nodded ever so slightly, Albert knew he had made Jim admit to
something that was hard for him to do so.
"I want you to listen to the love you feel for her, I want you to tell
her how you feel," Albert continued.
Yet before Jim managed an answer the girls came out of the restroom and
made their way back.
***
Sandra was dragged unwilling into the restroom by her two 'teachers'
and plopped in front of a mirror. Both Jesse and Trish then managed to
produce a bundle of assorted make up and accessories. Sandra looked at
the row of powder make up, lipstick, eye shadow, necklaces, earrings
and a few other female care products, as a sweat drop appears above her
head.
"Now, Sandra, as a girl you must look the part so we are going to teach
you how to apply makeup," Jesse said pointing at the various make up on
the counter. Sandra sighed and nodded silently, knowing this day would
have to have come sooner or later. She also wanted to impress Jim,
blushing slightly at the thought.
"You're not going to try and run?" Trish asked as Amieko helpfully
separated the make up into small piles to match its type. Sandra shook
her head.
"No, this is something I need to learn and I should be thankful you are
my friends and are able to show me."
Jesse inwardly cringed at that, again feeling guilty for not trying to
be friends with Jake. In order to shake the feelings she let out an
approving shout of joy.
"At last! You're ready to accept your feminine body!" Trish smiled at
this as well, along with Amieko and soon all three were hand to hand
dancing in a little circle around the stool she sat upon.
"She's finally ready! She's finally ready!" They sang as a particularly
large sweat drop appeared over Sandra's forehead and she wondered if it
was too late to make a run for it. She also wondered just why a stool
was in a bathroom.
"Now to get started," Jesse began appearing suddenly right next to
Sandra, "We shall introduce you on how to shade the proper colors to
your skin, we'll start with eye shadow, you want to make sure you put a
shade that while enhances your beauty, doesn't make it apparent that
you're wearing makeup..."
Sandra listened as they went on and on, first about this, then about
that. She had a body that may act female, but in her mind this still
board her a bit. However Jesse, Trish and Amieko drove the point home
so soundly, that she wondered if she could ever FORGET how to do all
they had just taught her. She swore a good hour must have gone by,
(actually it was closer to fifteen minutes).
"Now look in the mirror and actually THINK about how you look this time
Sandra," Jesse said as she spun her around to face the mirror.
Sandra gasped at what she saw. She had wondered just how much make up
could help her appearance and she was amazed to find that not only did
it live up to her exceptions, it went beyond! She was very anxious to
show Jim!
Then she frowned, was she going too overboard in wanting to impress
Jim? Should she really be putting this much energy in doing so? She
couldn't help it, she felt something for Jim deep in her heart, but she
wasn't ready to admit what it was just yet. It was bringing a thought
to her head she was afraid of asking herself: Did she really want to
become male again?
"Come ON Sandra! Don't you want to show Jim how beautiful you look?"
Jesse asked. Trish smiled and sighed.
"It must be so nice to have a boyfriend!" She said holding her hands
together and staring dreamily into space.
"I thought you were with Zeek?" Sandra asked.
"Eh, he and I weren't meant to be," She replied.
"He dumped you didn't he?" Jesse said.
"SHUT UP!" Trish screamed back.
Sandra just shook her head and left the restroom quickly while Amieko
consoled her older sister. She noticed Jim and Albert conversing upon
something and bounded over in a more feminine way then she realized.
Jim stared at her with a look of admiration, but Sandra was too busy
trying to show off her make-up job to notice. She realized she was
acting a little more like a teenage girl then she had intended, but it
just seemed so right... She realized with a shock that if she didn't
become male soon she might not be able to re adept to being one. But
her body was gone and she couldn't get a new one. Albert had been
working night and day almost trying to find a way to make a copy of it,
but with no luck. Then there was the last question, the question Trish
had asked her that night in the bathhouse. The one she still didn't
have an answer to.
"Do you like?" She asked them striking a pose. Jesse and Trish caught
up with them showing looks of pride. Amieko was trying to catch up from
the back.
"Amaze and behold the wonders of the great Jesse and the amazing
Trish!" They both say holding their arms pointed at Sandra like she was
a showpiece. Jim, Albert and Igor all laughed and clapped wildly to
show their approval. Sandra just blushed.
"But wait! Let's not forget the astounding services of Amieko!" Trish
and Jesse both said suddenly as they lifted Amieko upon their
shoulders.
Amieko had been caught by surprise at first but quickly lifted her
hands in the air giving a victory shout. This won another round of
applause and laughter, this time by everyone.
"Well now that we're ready, I think we'd better catch up with Paul and
his brother Alex," Albert said as he gestured in the direction Paul had
gone.
The rest of the party nodded and began to follow Albert over the hill
and into the park. Jim noticed that Jesse and Trish were ahead of
Sandra, Amieko still on their shoulders and while Igor was close to
Sandra she was pretty much walking alone. Jim decided to walk with her,
as some questions had been bothering him.
"Hey," He said getting up next to her, Sandra turned and smiled.
"Hello Jim," She said smiling, she was glad for his company, she
finally just decided to forget about the decisions and enjoy this day
for what it was. She wanted to hold his hand but was to shy to. She
never used to be shy she thought, was this because she was a girl now?
Jim leaned closer cutting off her thought.
"Say, do... do you think that Zellia is okay? I mean we haven't seen
her for a while now..." He asked, Sandra had been wondering the same
thing.
She had been worried about her ever since she had run off that night.
She knew this was the same person who had tried to kill her twice, but
it was as if he had been holding back. As if something was bothering
him. She had felt pain at both attacks this was true, but it was as if
he held back the killing blow as both times she could have been killed
if only a little more power had been used. One would think she would be
angry with him for all that, but now that he seemed to be Zellia, it
was as if she was another person entirely. The thing that bothered her
most about that day however were the words she had spoken before she
disappeared. Please don't hate me Alex. Did she... Did she like Alex?
"I wish I could answer that," She said sighing, "I worry so much about
her. It's strange I know after she tried to kill me, but still..."
"What is it?" Jim asked absentmindedly taking her hand. Sandra noticed
right away and blushed, but not wanting him to let go she continued in
hopes of drawing the attention.
"Well it's like Zellia isn't... well Zark ya know?" She said finally.
"I don't think she is Zark," Jim said his eyes taking on a look of
great wisdom, "In fact I say Zark died when Zellia was born." Sandra
thought about this, it did make sense.
"You don't feel anything... like special towards Zellia do you?" Jim
asked.
That was a strange question to ask, Sandra thought, I wonder what he's
thinking? She was pondering a response when frantic movement caught her
eye. Turning her attention to it, she pointed it out to Jim.
Standing still for the moment in the area of a large grassy field stood
both Paul and Alex. Both held wooden bokkens and both were faced off
against each other in defensive stance, awaiting the other's move. Paul
looked slightly battered, while Alex looked just fine and appeared as
if he had been simply sipping lemonade. Sandra didn't have to guess who
was winning this friendly dual. She also took notice that Alex was
wearing the same outfit he had worn during the bathhouse night. She
also noticed he had sunglasses on this time.
Paul had attacked the first few times that led him to looking ruffed up
like this, so this time he decided to sit back and wait for Alex to
make a move this time. To announce this further, he moved his blade so
it angled downward and gave a small taunt with his fingers. Alex smiled
and rushed forward. Paul smiled, bringing his sword around in a sudden
swipe at Alex's head. Paul barley understood what happened as Alex's
face was one moment in front of his own and then the next moment he
felt the wooden tip of Alex's bokken upon his neck.
Sandra had managed to see it and was surprised at the swiftness of the
attack. Alex had managed to dive under the swipe at his head and
brought the bokken up to Paul's neck in the seconds that followed. The
battle that had only lasted a few minutes ended in one simple move.
Paul realized he might be able to take his brother out in a fistfight,
but put a sword in his hands and he was nearly unstoppable.
"Nice to physically be better then you at something," Alex joked
getting up, Paul felt a bit embarrassed but knew when he was beat.
Besides it was all fun and games.
"I can still beat your butt at football," Paul said grinning. He got
the desired cringe from his brother.
"You may KEEP that title," Alex said disgusted, Paul laughed. His bro
really did hate football.
"Well if you two BOYS are finished with your fun, I say we get a move
on to the carnival," Jesse said leading her boyfriend away.
Paul shrugged helplessly as he threw his bokken back to Alex who put it
in a compartment in a strange looking vehicle that sorta resembled a
motorbike. Sandra knew immediately it was the hover bike Albert had
made for him. Actually she was sure it had been sitting in the basement
for a while, it was just Albert never had a reason to get fired up and
complete it until then.
Alex looked after Jesse and his brother Paul with happiness mixed with
depression. He was happy for his brother Paul sure, but it kept
reminding him of Zellia. He hadn't seen her since that day in the
bathhouse. He had been frantic for the past few days worrying about
her. He felt so stupid, he had barley met her for five minutes and he
was ready to leap in front of a bullet for her. He needed this day more
then he thought he guessed as he silently followed the group toward the
park.
***
Xelt watched Sandra and her followers head off toward the thing called
the 'carnival' with disinterest as he leaned against the tree whose
branch he was currently perched on.
"This is the group that took Zark from us? Bah, I always knew Zark was
a weakling. Too bad about Zellia though, I may have liked some of the
human things I could have done to her." He said still showing no sign
of wanting to move and follow them. He sat there watching until they
were out of sight and sighed.
"I suppose it's up to me now," He said drearily, "Well I suppose I'll
have a bit of fun before I go after her, I'll kill her not long after
anyway."
The dark door of the Dark Zone swirled around him for a few minutes
before dissipating, leaving his spot blank. Below hidden in the bushes
emerged a pink hared beauty. She looked around for a few minutes before
taking off in the direction the others went.
***
When the group made it to the amusement park, there was naturally much
discussion on what to do first and how it should be done. In the end it
was decided that everyone would break up into groups and meet back at
the car when the park closed. Paul and Jesse were one group, while
Trish and Amieko were another, while both Alex and Albert snuck off
with Igor while Jim and Sandra were saying farewell to Trish.
"Well, doc I guess that leaves us..." Sandra and Jim said turning
around only to find themselves alone. Sandra and Jim both looked at
each other and blushed.
"Er, well I guess we could, ya know, stick together..." Jim said
rubbing the back of his head.
"Uh, yeah that sounds great!" Sandra said rubbing the back of her own
head.
They both stood there for a few moments more unmoving. Before Jim
finally decided to take charge of the situation. Holding out his arm he
smiled. Sandra looked up at him surprised.
"Shall we my lady?" He asked his eyes sparkling.
Sandra slowly matched his smile and took his arm. Together, with
herself up against Jim head on his shoulder, they walked toward their
first attraction. For once the knowledge of Jake forgotten.
Their first attraction was one of the roller coasters, which after the
half-hour in line, they finally managed to get on. Jim found it strange
that the entire time Sandra clung to him in fright, but couldn't really
say he disliked the feeling. Next was lunch, which they spent
conversing on the latest video games and anime and what they should do
for the rest of the day. Then after a few booth games to let their
stomach settle they hit a few more rides. One of Jim's favorites
happened to be the chain chair rides.
"Hey 18 try closing your eyes it's cool!" He happened to hear behind
him as he was seated next to Sandra going around and around.
Both he and Sandra gave each other a look that said, 'Let's try it!'
Which turned out to be interesting, but Jim didn't find it very cool,
as he felt motionless as it was. They hit a few more rides, the teacups
being particularly fun for both of them as they kept crashing into each
other inside their cup as it spun around. Any onlookers couldn't tell
if they did it intentionally or not. It was when it was getting close
to darkness when they passed a booth that caught their attention as the
one running it yelled out to them.
"Hey there, you two look like a lovely couple! How about a picture to
forever remember this moment?" The man said as both Jim and Sandra
blushed.
"Why not?" Jim said suddenly looking down at Sandra.
Sandra thought about it looking around the booth. It was littered with
many fairly large color photos of couples both young and old. Finally
she nodded, a picture seemed like a nice idea. The man beckoned them
into his photo booth in the back and told Jim to sit down on one of the
chairs. There was one right next to for Sandra to sit. The man
indicated her to that chair as he got behind the camera. Sandra looked
at the chair she was to sit in and got an idea.
Smirking she walked over and suddenly plopped into Jim's lap startling
him. She leaned to his right enough to get him to grab her around the
waste with his arms as he laughed. She winked and gave a peace sign to
the camera while the cameraman, not missing a beat, quickly snapped the
picture. Jim and Sandra were still laughing as the man told them to
wait outside for a few minutes while he developed the picture.
Ten minutes later the picture was handed to them in full color glory.
Both Jim and Sandra thanked the man for the great picture as they
walked away.
"No problem!" Yelled the man, "It's rare I get to take a picture of
such a great couple!" After they had gotten over blushing again, Sandra
handed the picture to Jim who took it quizzically.
"You take it," Sandra said, "So you can remember me if I don't stay
Sandra." Jim nodded a bit sadly before something about the sentence
caught his attention.
"Wait, if you don't? Does that mean your thinking of staying Sandra?"
He asked, Sandra balked.
"Well I... Hey! You know, we should get that picture to the car so it
doesn't get lost or damaged!" She said running off in the direction of
the car, not seeming to notice it was Jim who had the picture and he
wasn't moving.
Jim sat there for a few seconds before his mind registered she had run
off and quickly gave a panicked look.
"Hey Sandra! Wait for me!" He yelled out running to catch up to her not
noticing the person who ran up to a nearby food vender and the owner of
the said booth get carried off by a couple of the park's medics.
***
Xelt hadn't been having the fun he had thought he would, the rides
didn't thrill him as the signs advertised and the many people were
annoying him. Unfortunately in the crowd he couldn't spot his target so
decided to continue having fun. Besides bullying the children of these
humans had been proving itself entertaining. He walked away from the
food vender with what the human called a 'corndog'; it looked like some
strange brown blob upon a stick. Ignoring the human's shouts to pay he
sent a small blast toward his way, blowing the vender stand up and
injuring the human while looking at the blob carefully. After it didn't
appear to be alive he took a small bite. It actually tasted really
good, he realized.
"Hmm, perhaps there is something to this carnival after all..." He said
continuing to have his fun.
***
Alex had lost Albert about two hours ago when the doctor had seen some
sort of exhibit on inventions. Alex had been wandering around going on
a few rides since then. It had grown dark by this time and even though
he liked solitude, he found himself wishing for company. He also
wondered if he really should have brought his bokken with him as
carrying it kept getting him strange stares by others. Shrugging it
off, he stopped to look around.
Zellia had been jumping from booth to booth trying to keep up with the
gang after she had trailed the group in here. She had seen Sandra and
Jim no problem, but that wasn't the reason she was in here. She had to
find him. Unfortunately she hadn't had much luck with the large crowd
of humans. She was also frightened by the lights and sounds that had
been playing the entire time she had been searching. Just what purpose
did this gathering serve?
She had jumped upon a booth near a crossing in the area down below when
she finally spotted who she was searching for. With a quick leap she
landed in front of Alex finger pointed at him.
"You! I've been looking for you!" She said startling Alex with her
sudden appearance.
Alex felt an instant wave of joy to see her standing before him again.
She looked really nice too. Her hair was a bit mused but the dress she
wore was what caught his attention. She wore an elegant pink sleeveless
dress that hugged her body nicely. A white line traveled from her bosom
down to her waste. From the waste was a long dress like skirt that had
small triangles of white decorating the bottom. A small pink bow
adorned the very tip of each triangle that ended somewhere near the
middle of the skirt, the design traveling all around. To Alex she
looked amazing.
"You! You are the one who started these emotions within me! My only
choice is to fight you in combat!" She declared readying for him to
draw his sword.
She was having all she could do to fight the urge she felt to run to
him. She couldn't understand why the thought of hurting this human
bothered her so, but if she took him out it should decline. However,
instead of him drawing his sword, he did something else.
"YOU'RE ALRIGHT!" He shouted in relief as he ran up and gave her a hug.
Zellia stood stunned in his embrace as her emotions fired up to higher
levels then before, unfortunately to her, all desire to fight had just
ebbed out of her. She stood there for a bit longer before she realized
her body acting on a cord of its own as she wrapped her own arms around
him. She felt herself blush feeling his body pressed up to hers. The
feeling was of such joy and solitude... What was happening to her?
"Um, sorry," Alex said letting her go and turning a very bright shade
of red.
Zellia stumbled back her mind in a fury of thoughts. She couldn't get
her bearings; it was as if the whole world was spinning as she stood
still in the center. This human, these feelings, this place of people.
All of it lost in the swirl of confusion. Finally it became too much
for her weakened body and she collapsed almost losing conscienceless.
Alex was quickly holding her in his arms.
"Zellia? Are you all right?! Answer me!?" He called out to her through
the darkness, she could faintly hear the sound of real concern upon his
tone.
She felt happy, so happy he cared so much for her. She didn't
understand why he did, but she was so glad. She had never known what
concern felt like to receive. He had been concerned before, not about a
person, but he or rather she now had never known what it was like to
have concern from another. She decided she liked it and all thoughts of
trying to hurt this human faded away with her strength as she lapsed
further into darkness. Struggling she managed to climb her way back up,
enough to where she could make out the worried face of Alex. She
gathered all her strength to mutter one word.
"Food," She said silently.
Alex nodded and began to carry her somewhere. During the week after the
bathhouse she had spent all her time in the house she had run to. It
had running water but no food. Luckily she had some Dark Zone rations
stored away in a small space pocket she had kept for emergencies. But
it didn't seem to have been enough to keep her sustained. She realized
now that she would have been no match for Alex in a fight. She was
surprised she had lasted this long. A few minutes later Alex was
handing her something triangular in shape covered in some thick rubbery
substance and what appeared to be small gray spheres.
"Food," He said simply as she took it from where he had sat her.
Taking his word for it due to her weakness she took a bite. The
sensation that passed through her was amazing! She quickly finished off
the rest of it and was handed another from what appeared to be a large
circle of the substance. She ate the part she had just been handed as
well as many many more. Alex himself ate only a couple. By the time he
had finished his second piece she had polished off the entire circle of
food.
"That was spectacular!" She said licking the access red juice from her
fingers, "What is it you humans call this?"
"Well first off your considered human now yourself," He said shocking
her, "Second the food is called 'Pizza'."
"Pizza," She said as an afterthought, "But what do you mean I am
considered human?"
"Well," Alex said looking at her with a smile, "We managed to conclude
that you were made that way with Sandra's DNA correct?" Zellia nodded.
"Well it's true she's a bio-android, but she's human enough for us. You
match her genetics, sort of like her sister. So as far as I'm concerned
your human."
Zellia placed her hand upon her heart, which seemed to have quickened
it's pace. Her human? Sandra her sister? She felt pleased by the idea,
but wasn't sure if it could be considered that way.
"I see," She said quite exasperated.
She turned her gaze to Alex and took a good long look at him. There was
something about him she couldn't quite place. The way his hair bristled
in the breeze, the way he seemed so quiet and yet so open. What strange
emotions did these humans posses that she couldn't stop feeling?
"Alex," Zellia began feeling more of those strange emotions as he gazed
into her eyes, "What do you think about me?"
Alex was surprised by the question, but didn't show it. He gazed at
Zellia for a little trying to decide how to answer. In the end he
decided to go with what he knew for a fact.
"You're a very pretty women," He began his voice steady and truthful,
"I can sense you've been through pain recently, yet hidden underneath
is a great kindness I doubt you yourself even realize. I wish I knew
more, but after all, I barely know you!"
Zellia nodded absentmindedly. That sentence had made her feel that
warmth again. She liked that warmth. Why was this amazing feeling left
out in the range of emotions Dark Zone people were allowed to feel? She
had never felt anything like this as Zark. She began to wonder for the
first time since the transformation if she had been in the wrong body
as Zark.
"Alex, I see you're a person who's truthful, I don't know how, but I
can. I want to learn more about you. If I can..." Zellia said slowly.
What was she doing? She had come here to fight him, yet... Yet now she
wanted to spend time with him. But she didn't know what she wanted to
spend that time doing, she just knew she wanted to be close to him.
"Hmm," Alex said gazing at the beauty before him while trying
unsuccessfully to hide a blush.
She wanted to spend time with him? Like a date? He had never been on a
date before in his life! He didn't think he'd ever find a girl who
seemed this interesting in him either, that just happened to be a male
inhabitant of something called the Dark Zone a little over a week ago
either. Well he did know one thing:
He wanted to help her. He didn't know her that well and he didn't know
anything about how she was as Zark despite a few things Paul had told
him, but what he could see of this girl before him he just couldn't
believe that this person was that creature. Maybe Dark Zone people
weren't able to feel kindness? Well what ever she was, he knew what he
wanted to do.
"Zellia," He said smiling as he stood up, "It would be my honor if you
would accompany me around this carnival tonight."
He let out his hand waiting for her response. Zellia slowly reached out
and took the arm offered. As soon as she was standing she found her
body seemed to move on it's own as she tightened her grip around the
arm, pushing it up against her bosom as she became standing up against
Alex's side. The feeling it gave her was of pleasure, another thing she
had never known, but somehow she knew what it was.
"I would like that very much," She said feeling the rest of what was
Zark seem to melt away.
She didn't realize it just yet, but it was at that precise moment Zark
ceased to be and all that was left was Zellia.

"You are SO uncute!" A male with a long pigtail of black hair and
dressed in a Chinese red shirt with black pants told his female
companion. The female companion dressed in a white shirt with a blue
skirt that strapped over the shoulders had her short black hair
bristling with anger.
"And YOU'RE such a jerk! I wish we were never engaged!" She yelled at
the male.
"Aw, who wants to be married to an uncute tomboy like you anyway?" The
male said angering the female even more.
"Shut up!" She screamed chasing after the fleeing form of the male with
a near by support beam to one of the booths, who's inhabitants were
going frantic at the moment trying to stop the entire thing from
collapsing.
However these two people weren't the thing drawing most people's
attention. What was doing that was the man dressed entirely in lab
clothing and was ordering Ice cream. Or rather the large gray golem
that seemed to be traveling with him.
"Yes that's right," Dr. Zizu told the ice cream vendor, "four scoops of
chocolate, then two scoops of strawberry mixed with two of vanilla,
then four MORE scoops of peanut butter and then top it all off with
Gumi sprinkles!"
"Sir there is no way we can put that all on one cone!" The teenager
said who was running the stand.
The poor guy looked about ready to flip, this had just not been his
night, especially with this guy! Igor was smiling enjoying the sights,
which unfortunately made him look even stranger then normal and was
adding to the boy's stress.
"One cone? No my dear boy you misunderstand! I mean for you to put it
on four separate cones and place them in this!" Dr. Zizu said producing
a strange metal contraption. (From where the boy couldn't figure out.)
The machine looked similar to a four-car cup holder that restraints
gave you for your drinks. However at the bottom sat a handle surrounded
by a sure grip rubber coating. White spray kept getting shot out of the
top of the thing every few seconds.
"With this Super Ice Cream holder, I'll have no problems not only
carrying but eating the tasty little treat!" Dr. Zizu said handing the
kid the contraption.
The kid took it with much the sweat drop wondering why he got all the
freaks during his shift anyway. He was tempted to say they just ran out
of ice cream, but he couldn't stop thinking of the huge golem thing
with him. So sighing he took a look at the four holders up close when
he got sprayed by the mist. Frost immediately formed upon his face as
the sub zero temp blasted him.
"Gah!" The boy said dropping the machine on the counter, "What is
that!?"
"Careful!" Dr. Zizu yelled picking up the invention and scanning it for
any damage. After he was sure it was unharmed he replied.
"Sorry, I guess I should have told you about the sub zero jets. I can't
very well have my ice cream melt before I've eaten it! With those
keeping it cold I could eat ice cream outside on the hottest day of
summer!"
The boy nodded slowly deciding the faster he got this old coot his ice
cream, the faster he'd be free of him. He quickly positioned the cones
in the four holders careful not to get hit by the mist again and gave
the guy the desired flavors.
"Here you are sir, that will be twenty-six, seventy-five..." The boy
trailed hoping the guy didn't see a problem with the price.
To his relief the guy simply handed him a twenty and ten and waited for
his change. After the boy gave it to him, he was relived when the guy
walked away happily eating his ice cream as the golem thing silently
followed.
"Albert? Is that you? And Igor?" Jesse asked as she and Paul came
walking up eating some cotton candy.
"Hey, Paul, Jesse," He said bowing to each in turn as Igor waved,
"Having fun?"
"I know I am," Paul said grinning at his girlfriend who just blushed
and nodded.
"Paul, you're embarrassing me," Jesse giggled, "By the way, have you
seen any of the others?" She added to Albert.
"Well so to speak, here comes Trish and Amieko right now!" Albert said
nodding his head in the direction the two were approaching from.
Trish was smiling as she walked next to Amieko who was currently
holding tight to a stuffed panda that blocked her entire stomach area
from view.
"Hi Jesse-Chan! Hi Paul-kun!" Amieko said smiling. Jesse and Paul both
smiled back and waved.
"Hi Amieko, have you been having a great time with your big sister
Trish?" Jesse asked.
"Oh yes! We went on the roller coaster and the ferries wheel and the
tea cups and the chain chairs and Trish got mad because there was no
one to go on the Love Tunnel ride with her!" Amieko said.
"Hey! I did not!" Trish said in defense, "But the guy who was running
it sure was cute..." She added staring at the sky with sparkly eyes.
The rest sighed as large sweat drops appeared over their heads.
"Anyway, it's nice that we're all together, perhaps we should get
dinner," Paul suggested looking at a small food court near by.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Jesse agreed throwing one arm up in
the air, "After all this cotton candy isn't exactly meal quality, what
do you say Trish?"
"I'm game, Amieko?" Trish asked looking down at her little sibling.
"Yeah, let's go!" Amieko said excitedly grinning ever so brighter.
"I don't need anything but this tasty ice cream!" Albert said taking
another bite of his creamy treat, "But I think I'll tag along anyway to
rest these old bones, well maybe a small something..."
"I cannot eat being what I am," Igor said reclining the offer.
"Alright then it's settled! Amieko and I will get the meal, you guys
sit and relax," Trish said, "What do you and Paul want?" She asked
turning to Jesse.
"Surprise us," Jesse said, but Paul looked wary.
"Surprise? Jesse this is the girl who brought fried squid to a picnic,"
He said. Jesse's face suddenly became wary as well.
"Perhaps we should get our own food..." She agreed.
"It is a good thing I can't eat," Igor added. By this time Trish had
become slightly steamed.
"Guys! I was twelve years old! I am not going to bring you back
anything weird okay!?" She yelled, Amieko giggled.
"Okay, Trish we're sorry, I'm sure whatever you get us will be fine,"
Jesse said stopping Paul from protesting. Jesse glared at Paul, who
finally sighed giving in.
Trish nodded her head once and took off with Amieko in tow toward the
food vendor still a little steamed. Meanwhile the rest of them scouted
out a nice table to sit at and settled down.
"I wonder how Sandra and Jim are making out?" Jesse asked after they
had seated. Albert stopped in his quest to finish his desert for a few
moments as he thought about it.
"I hope Jim is doing what he should, if I know how things go Sandra is
going to need him very soon." He said looking slightly worried.
"What do you mean?" Paul asked, but Albert shook his head.
"I can't say for sure, but there is a good chance Sandra will choose
her life soon." Jesse and Paul pondered this for a few seconds before
the answer donned on them.
"You mean she'll choose between Jake and Sandra..." Paul said silently,
more of a statement then a question. Albert nodded again.
"I hope she makes the right decision, it's gotten complicated with the
way Jim feels for her," Both Jesse and Paul nodded at this.
"Love is love, it matters not how it forms," Paul said silently, "What
about Zellia and Alex?" Albert beamed at this question and flung his
arm, that was holding the Super Ice Cream Holder, into the air. Luckily
the sub zero vents kept the ice cream so cold it didn't fly off of the
cone.
"Ah! Those two! Such romance! The way they talked to each other! The
looks they gave each other with their eyes! It must be love at first
sight I tell you! They will no doubt become husband and wife someday
and have a child of pure love! Oh how love blooms!" He said hugging the
machine to his face, as the jets put a nice coat of frost upon his
cheek.
"Ah! Cold cold!" He yelled pulling the machine away and rubbing his
cheek with his free hand.
"Eeeee," Both Paul and Jesse said while looking at Albert with sweat
drops, added with blue lines of uncertainty as their eyes slightly
twitched. They had both greatened the distance between them and him in
the process as well. Igor merely frowned not seeing what was so
strange.
"Dinner's served!" Trish said at that moment appearing with many small
white boxes.
She placed two in front of each person with the help of Amieko who had
somehow managed to stuff her bear under one arm. Taking their minds
from what had just happened, the three who had not gone to get the food
poked at their boxes with the chopsticks (all except for Igor) Trish
had handed out cautiously.
"It's not alive is it?" Jesse asked still trying to see if she could
get a reaction. Trish once again steamed.
"Of course it's not alive! I work in a grocery store now! I think I
know what's good!" She yelled dignified.
"Yeah, I guess your right," Paul said relaxing a bit, "So what did you
get us?"
"Fried octopus wrapped with eel skin!" She said cheerfully.
Everyone at the table except Amieko and Trish face faulted and pushed
their dinner away from them.
"It's Ramen and rice!" She said insulted, "Jeez, you people don't trust
me at all!" Albert starred at his food with a frown.
"Aw, I like fried octopus wrapped in eel skin..." Albert said causing
the rest to face fault.

"Over here Alex! Let's go on this one over here!" Zellia said as she
joyfully skipped to a nearby ride.
Alex smiled. She looked just like a little girl eager to open a
present, He thought. She looked so cute and innocent he couldn't help
feeling attracted to her. She looked so calm now as well. It was like
this had been the first time she had ever been able to let go and have
fun.
"Alright Zellia," Alex said as he walked back up to her.
Zellia immediately grabbed his arm and half dragged him to the line for
the ride. Much to Alex's dismay, but he really didn't mind all that
much. She could tell. She smiled, as they stood ready to get on
something called the Love Tunnel. It took a few minutes for Alex to
figure out what ride they were at, but when he did she noticed him turn
a soft pink color. Was she embarrassing him somehow?
"What's wrong?" Zellia asked as Alex found his heart beating a faster
pace when he realized where they were. He looked down at Zellia
noticing her worry. That made him feel better but he still couldn't
clam down enough knowing what he was standing in line for.
"Yeah I'm fine, it's just this is the Love Tunnel," He said. Zellia was
visibly confused.
"What's so bad about the Love Tunnel?" She asked tilting her head to
one side.
"There's nothing bad about it, it's just well, this is something people
usually go into when they, ya know LOVE each other and it just kinda
caught me by surprise." He responded.
"Oh..." She said thinking that over.
Love... She had heard about that before but didn't really understand
it. She was about to ask Alex what it meant when they found themselves
next to board a strange boat that looked like a swan. She had to drag
him a bit to get him in it, but he came. She really needed to ask him
what was so wrong about this tunnel.
Meanwhile both Jim and Sandra walked by the same line Alex and Jim had
just been in. It was late in the day and the last two people had gotten
on. Sandra could have sworn the pink-hared girl looked familiar though.
She went to ask Jim when she noticed he was blushing.
"Hey um Sandra," He began poking his fingers together as if he didn't
know how to phrase it, "Do you maybe want to, uh, perhaps go on the
Love Tunnel?"
Sandra's blush quickly matched Jim's. She thought that maybe she should
say no, but the truth was, she really liked that idea. Well why not?
"Sure Jim, that would be nice," She said once again clinging to his
arm.
Jim remembered the first time she had done that on the school grounds.
It didn't feel any less exciting now, then it did back then. Nodding he
lead her to the ride to sit in the very next swan boat.
As they drifted in behind both Alex and Zellia, those two had been
having an interesting ride themselves.
"Alex," Zellia began, "What is love?"
Oh boy, Alex thought as he tried to word a response for that one.
"Well," He began, "Love is when two people have feelings for each
other. Feelings like well um... Like wanting to be near each other and
wanting to make the other person happy and being happy when with the
said other person."
Zellia nodded as Alex took a breath, then he continued.
"There are different types of love. The love between a mother and child
is one example. The mother of course loves the child she brought into
the world, while the child of course would love their kind mother. I'll
not lie to you Zellia, some mothers aren't kind to their children and
those children may or may not have love for their mother. Love is a
very complicated thing." Alex said.
"I see," Zellia said, that made sense, too much sense, as she didn't
particularly care for what could be considered her mother. The darkness
of the Dark Zone. She also knew that hu- no people, she mentally
corrected herself, people like her. She knew that men and women were
needed to create a child. But how escaped her.
"How do you make a child?" She asked next. Alex blushed a very strange
pale color and squirmed a little.
"Er, we'll talk about that later," He said sweating only slightly.
Zellia didn't understand what the big deal was, but as long as she was
on the subject.
"Is having a child a good thing?" She asked.
"Good thing?" Alex repeated trying to think of the best way to describe
it, "Well I'd certainly say so, but two people should only-er- 'make' a
child if they are truly ready for the responsibility."
"But is it a good thing?" Zellia repeated.
"If two people love each other and they are ready it's the most
wonderful thing in the world I'd say," Alex said staring at the ceiling
as if he could see the stars beyond it, "Bringing a new life into this
world. Being the person this child looks up to and respects. One day I
do wish to see this."
"What child would you want?" Zellia asked. She knew enough about humans
to know there were 'sons' and 'daughters'.
"Me?" Alex said thinking it over, "A daughter. I'd really like a little
girl to look up to me as her daddy. Perhaps one day."
"I see," Zellia said, then she decided to ask another question that had
come to mind. "What about the love between a man and a women who are
not related?"
"Well," Alex began even more nervous then normal, "That kind of Love is
the most magical perhaps. The man will want to be near the women, he'll
want to hold her and touch her like she was his most valuable
possession, but of course that's just an expression. The women, well
I'm not a girl so I don't really know, but I'd guess she'd want to be
near the man as well and she might like being in the man's arms. You
know a hug, but it wouldn't be any normal hug, this hug would feel
exciting perhaps. Just as it would to the man. A love between a man and
a woman is a very special thing. They usually feel like doing whatever
they can to make the other person happy, sometimes even if it hurts
them in the process."
"I see," Zellia said catching a glimpse of two people in a similar boat
in front of them.
As the boat turned the corner out of sight, she got the impression she
saw the two pressing their lips together. What was that? And why was
the thought of mimicking it with Alex making her feel so excited?
"What is it called when people press their lips together?" She asked
Alex. This caused Alex to become VERY nervous.
"Er well that," He began wishing she'd stop asking so many embarrassing
questions, "That's called a ki-ki-kiss. A kiss. That's something that
let's you know that two people really love each other."
"How do you know if you love someone? Would it be if kissing them
excited you?" Zellia asked.
"Well," Alex said, "I guess you could put it that way." He said
pondering it in his head. He hoped the embarrassing questions were
over.
"Well if there are no more questions we are nearing the ex-" Alex began
when he suddenly found his lips come into contact with another pair.
He was startled in his mind, but strangely his body relaxed as he sank
into the kiss Zellia had begun. They stayed locked as the boat moved
on.
"Looks like those two are having fun," Sandra commented seeing the
couple in front of them kiss.
She still could swear she knew that girl and the guy looked familiar
too, but they were too far away and she had been unable to advance her
vision before they were out of site.
"Hey Sandra," Jim asked drawing Sandra's attention away from the couple
ahead of them, "When we kissed at that dance, the day you became
Sandra. How... how was it?"
"Um," Sandra verbally stumbled. How was she supposed to answer that?
Why did he bring it up now anyway?
"Nevermind," Jim said sadly, "You must have hated it."
"No Jim that's not it! It was the most amazing and wonderful thing I
had ever felt!" She protested.
Then just as she finished that sentence she clamped her hands over her
mouth. Did she really just say that? What she wondered more was, did
she really mean it? She had a feeling she did.
"Listen Jim, I, I..." She began, when she felt herself get pulled into
another kiss by Jim.
She wasn't even surprised this time as she found herself eagerly
returning the kiss. She didn't know it was possible, but it felt even
better this time then last time. Suddenly she broke off.
Jim had been startled by the sudden action and worriedly gave Sandra a
look over. She didn't seem upset, but then what was wrong?
"Sandra?" He asked, Sandra looked up at him with tears in her eyes,
"Jim, I must tell you...I... I..."
"Well well, if it isn't my prey and the traitor Zark or is it Zellia
now?" A voice sneered.
Shocked both Sandra and Jim turned their heads toward the sound to see
Xelt standing atop a popcorn machine casually eating some from a bag.
They also noticed that both Alex and Zellia had been the two in front
of them!
"I knew she looked familiar!" Sandra said out loud catching the
attention of the two who turned.
"Jim?" Alex said surprised.
"Sandra?" Zellia mimicked.
"What are you two doing here?" Jim asked. Both Zellia and Alex blushed
a little.
"Well, I guess you could call it a date," Alex said.
"WHAT!?" Both Jim and Sandra exclaimed at the same time.
"Enough chatter!" Xelt yelled firing a laser from his hand and
obliterating the swan boat Jim and Sandra had just gotten off of.
"We'll talk later!" Sandra yelled as both she and Zellia leaped forward
ready for combat.
"Look Sandra," Zellia began, "I realize how our past has been, but
please believe me when I tell you I'm no longer the same person I was.
I wish only to stop Xelt and the Darkness from causing its pain and
suffering!"
"Perhaps it's strange Zellia, but I believe you, now let's take this
guy out together!" She yelled charging up a lighting web that she had
frozen Zark with oh so long ago.
"Right!" Zellia also yelled powering up a pink energy attack of her
own.
"Now!" Both yelled as Sandra and Zellia launched their attacks at Xelt.
"Predictable," Xelt sneered disappearing in a fit of lines. The attacks
collided with one another and dissipated harmlessly in the air.
"What? I don't' understand!" Zellia said looking around.
Xelt suddenly appeared behind her and grabbed her. She tried to
struggle free but he had her secure.
"That's no surprise dear Zark," Xelt mocked twisting one hand so he
could grip her breast.
Zellia didn't feel any excitement when Xelt touched her, she felt only
anger and discomfort.
"You've grown so weak Zark," Xelt spit, "Look at you now! A runaway
from the Dark Zone and hanging out with these humans! I told you your
morals would get you into trouble!"
"Shut up!" Zellia managed trying to pry herself free and his hand off
of her bosom.
"Now now, dear Zark, I may be able to help you," Xelt said calmly
firing an eye beam at Sandra who had tried to sneak up on him.
"Sandra!" Zellia yelled trying to break free but Xelt continued.
"Come back with me Zark, I'll tell the Darkness to spare you, that your
new body had clouded your mind. Maybe I can get him to change you back,
after you show me just how interesting it is to be with the first Dark
Zone woman..." He whispered suggestively scaring Zellia to her very
soul.
"GAHHHHHHHH!" Xelt screamed out suddenly letting Zellia go.
Shocked she turned to see Alex standing their with a sword. Not the
wooden one he had been carrying around, but a real bladed sword. That's
why Xelt had let her go, because he had sliced his arm with the blade
as blood was dripping from the tip of it.
"Get away from her," Alex told Xelt, his voice surprising Zellia, "I'll
not let you hurt her.
"Why do you care human?" Xelt sneered holding his wound attempting to
heal it, "What is she to you?"
"I love her," Alex replied simply.
Zellia, Jim and Sandra gasped. Zellia had the most effect from this.
He... He loves me? She thought as her heart began to beat harder then
she ever remembered it doing. She felt so happy hearing those words.
Could it be?
"Love! Bah! Zark will never return it boy! He's incapable of it!" Xelt
laughed back.
"Your right," Zellia said standing up.
Alex turned around shocked, feeling himself sink, Xelt was right? Was
she going back to his side?
"Zark never could," She continued, "But Zark died the day I took this
form. I am Zellia and I love Alex with all my HUMAN heart."
To empathize this she stood by Alex and wrapped her arm around his. She
felt so happy doing this, it was she knew it. This was love. Alex had
relaxed when he heard her words. She loved him as he loved her and he
knew he'd die to protect her.
"So, you've abandoned us forever Zellia," He said spitting out the
name, "Then you MUST DIE!" He screamed firing off dual lasers from both
hands.
Sandra quickly jumped in the way and brought up a quick energy shield.
"Sandra?" Zellia asked surprised.
"Hey, I told you I believed you," Sandra said smiling but inside she
was jealous. She herself had been a girl for over a week and it was
only a few minutes ago before she decided how she felt about Jim, the
incident bringing tears to her eyes once more and Zellia had been one
for a few days and she already knew her feelings for Alex!
"That won't work," Xelt said stopping his laser barrage.
He floated up into the air smirking as a purplish energy flared up
around him. Lifting his hands he flung them down to each side,
unleashing a fury of small lasers from his body, that immediately began
to bounce off of the various obstacles around him, branching in many
different directions. By this time most of the bystanders had long
since fled, so only the small group remained.
"Alex!" Zellia yelled.
"Jim!" Sandra yelled, as they both ran to their significant other and
grabbed them by the waste, leaping into a new section of the amusement
park.
Alex was quick to run on his own, but Sandra kept hold of Jim. Xelt was
quick to appear in the air behind them.
"You don't think it will be THAT easy do you?" He asked throwing his
arms and hands together.
From his connected palms came a particularly large laser that he moved
along the bottom of the nearby roller coaster, causing the entire thing
to begin to collapse upon them. Zellia was the first to respond.
"Total Assault!" She screamed throwing her hands out.
A large bar of pink energy shot from her hands extending into a large
energy block that smashed into the falling debris before exploding and
extending to consume the falling rubble. Alex meanwhile ran ahead and
sliced down a stand to make a shortcut to the next area.
"What's going on?" Paul screamed out as he and the others ran up. Igor
was quick to form a cannon.
"Got a madman from the Dark Zone wanting to kill Sandra and my
Girlfriend, let's make this a quick fight, you distract him I've got a
plan," Alex said all at once as he ran by, Zellia stopping by Paul.
"What?! Girlfriend? Madman? Huh?" Paul asked trying to process it all
in a short time. He weakly pointed at Zellia.
"You? The Girlfriend?" He asked a bit bewildered. Zellia blushed and
nodded.
"You might find it strange but I love your brother," She admitted.
Paul's mind sank deeper into confusion.
"Never MIND that!" Amieko yelled out pointing at the guy who was firing
lasers at various things, "We need to distract him!"
"I think Sandra has that taken care of," Trish said pointing toward
her. Sandra had dropped Jim off by Igor who was ready to fire if Xelt
came to close.
"Watch him!" Sandra said to Igor before running back into the fray, she
didn't even have time to see Igor nod. She quickly began to charge her
arm up with blue energy ready for the first of many attacks.
"Missiles Fire!" She yelled gripping her wrist. A dozen missiles fired
out all at once to impact upon Xelt. Xelt just laughed the attack off
as he stood there.
"Is that the best you can do?" He asked firing off another laser toward
Sandra, "I'm not even trying! This isn't proving to be any fun!"
At that moment a pillar of pink energy rose up beneath him, to consume
him. Xelt didn't seem fazed however, even after the other pillars kept
coming. Glancing to her right, Sandra saw Zellia using the sphere of
pink energy that shot lasers into the ground to create pillars. The
very move Zark had used to take her out in their first battle! But it
didn't seem to be hurting Xelt at all!
"You are beginning to bore me," Xelt said as he swooped down toward
Jesse and the gang.
"No!" Jesse said trying to block Xelt as she figured out where he was
heading, but he knocked her aside into one of the booths with ease.
"Jesse!" Paul yelled running to her side.
"HELP!" Another voice screamed. All eyes turned to see Xelt holding
Amieko by the back of the shirt as he floated in the air. Trish was out
cold on the ground obviously having tried to save her sister.
"Unlike that weakling Zark, I have no problem using people as hostage!"
Xelt laughed, "Now Sandra and Zellia, come with me into the Dark Zone
and I promise she won't get hurt!"
"You'll hurt her anyway!" Both Sandra and Zellia yelled at the same
