I can remember it all, that journey back to my house, especially that

threatening to resurface at every moment. I know it takes fifteen

out the window.
We spoke small talk about the train journey itself and the relative
merits and downfalls of our two respective home towns. We talked of the
places you had to visit if you were from out of town: the old abbey
ruins, the genteel river with its lovely picnic spots, the bustling
shopping centre which comes with our town's status as a regional
centre. Somehow we managed to make it feel comfortable enough so as to
want to find out what happens next. And then we were back and on our
way up the stairs.
My apartment is cozy and quiet and doesn't look too bad after a few
shake ups. I had everything organized so all we had to do was relax. We
ended up in the kitchen where we began to talk while I provided drinks
