SRU: The Wizard?s Great Battle By Heather St. Claire It was a little before 10 o?clock on a damp, dreary Saturday morning. The weather outside didn?t matter to those inside the Lone Pine Mall; here it was always a bright, climate-controlled 68 degrees. It was a day like just about any other Saturday at the mall, with one glaring exception: some sudden, magical changes in the mall?s lineup of stores. In the space that had been occupied by a failed sports memorabilia store was one of the new arrivals?a strange, ramshackle business known as ?Spells ?R Us.? In the back of the store, which had appeared only moments before, the Wizard was at work, preparing his potions and spells for the customers he knew would be arriving that day. The Wizard?s assistant, a girl named Danni, was up front, checking the tiny bell above the front door, making sure it would be ready to signal the arrival of the day?s first customer. Satisfied that all was in readiness, she was about to head toward the back to see if the Wizard needed any help, when she glanced across the way and spotted something that puzzled her. ?How very strange!? she exclaimed. ?What?s that, Danni?? the old man called from the back. ?Just a moment ago, there was a Gap in the space across from us. Now there?s something else.? The Wizard felt a cold chill. He hurried forward to take a look. His gaze settled on a new storefront, one that couldn?t have been more unlike Spells ?R Us. This place was framed in gleaming chrome. The front windows were smoked glass. A red neon script above the entrance read, ?Your Heart?s Desire.? ?Oh, no,? the Wizard muttered. ?What is it?? Danni asked. She was worried; she had never seen the Wizard display surprise or fear before. There was no reply from the crafty old mage. He stroked his long beard thoughtfully as he watched the glass doors slide open. They revealed the form of a gorgeous woman. She appeared to be in her early thirties. She had a perfect hourglass figure, two exceedingly long legs, a perfectly-proportioned face, and wavy, shoulder-length brown hair. She wore a red leather dress that hugged her voluptuous curves and matching spike heels. She glanced across at the Wizard, smiled, and blew him a kiss. ?Her,? the Wizard said with alarm. ?Who is she?? Danni asked. ?Our greatest enemy,? the Wizard replied evenly. ?There?s no time for explanations. Jeff should be here any second.? He stroked his long beard once more as he considered his next move. As if on cue, a sad-looking man came wandering through the mall. This was a day of surprises for Danni. She watched in amazement as the Wizard opened the door and strolled out into the mall. The woman from the strange shop across the way did the same thing. The Wizard?s feet momentarily became entangled in the cord that held his bathrobe in place, and he almost fell. It was time enough for the woman to make her move. The Wizard, angered at having fallen victim to such a simple trick, thought, ?I would damn her. But that would be redundant.? ?Hello, Jeff!? she said in a sultry voice. ?I?m so glad you?re here!? Jeff looked from side to side, then back at the woman. He reached for his glasses, which were sliding down the bridge of his nose, and pushed them upward. ?Are?are you talking to me?? ?Silly boy!? she laughed. ?Do you see any other Jeffs around?? She wrapped an arm around his and began guiding him into her storefront. Once they were inside, the glass doors slid shut and locked. The woman guided Jeff into a comfortable chair. Jeff was totally bewildered by the turn of events, but finally managed a couple of questions. ?Who are you? And what do you want with me?? She smiled. ?You can call me?.Lola. And all I want is to grant your heart?s desire.? The expression of fear on Jeff?s face was replaced by a lopsided grin. Meanwhile, in the back of Spells R? Us, a flurry of activity was taking place. Danni watched in amazement as the old man moved at a pace that would have exhausted a marathoner, pulling dusty books from shelves, examining talismans and charms, and mixing potions. ?Wizard? Who is she?? The old man turned from his work and shook his head. ?I thought you would have figured it out by now, Danni,? he said sadly. ?You know her by many names. Lucifer. Satan. The Prince of Darkness. But to put it directly, she?s the Devil.? Danni gasped as the Wizard returned to his work. ?But how can the Prince of Darkness be a woman?? ?That creature can take on any form it pleases! Now let me get back to work!? Inside ?Your Heart?s Desire,? the woman had finished explaining to Jeff the details of the new, feminine paradise that awaited him. She presented a document to him, and told him to sign it. ?What?s this for?? he asked, peering at the page of tiny type through his thick lenses. ?Simply a standard release. Don?t worry about it. Aren?t you eager to start your wonderful new life?? Jeff nodded and eagerly took the pen she held out to him. As soon as he had completed his signature, he looked up at the woman. But before he could speak, everything around him vanished. At the same instant, the woman heard a loud pounding on the front glass. She turned and saw the Wizard standing there. She stood up, walked over, and slid the door open with a flourish. ?What do you want, old man?? she said in her sultriest voice. ?What have you done with Jeff?? ?Why, I?ve saved him. I?m saved him from his miserable male life. And I?m saved him from you and your twisted sense of justice?and sense of humor.? ?Quit playing games, woman. You know what I mean!? ?I?ll show you,? she said, and, pointing a finger at a plasma television in a corner of the room, both saw the new reality of Jeff?s life. ?He?s become Julie Winston, the world?s top supermodel,? the woman in red explained. ?He?s doing exactly what he always dreamed of.? The Wizard peered at the screen intently. He saw a woman who was tall, leggy, slim hipped, small-bosomed. She had a long, swan-like neck. Her straight blonde hair framed her angular face and fell to the top of her shoulders. She wore a silver silk dress with jeweled spaghetti straps. She was swaying, turning, dipping her head, flashing her smile, all at the direction of the photographer who was capturing her image on film. ?Just great, Julie! Just great!? the photographer exclaimed. ?Why don?t you take a break and get changed.? The smile disappeared from Julie?s face as she quickly headed to her dressing room. She dropped into a plush chair, and all the energy she had been radiating dissipated. She closed her eyes for a long moment, then reached over to the table beside her and picked up a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Her hands slightly trembled as she lit the cigarette, took a deep drag, and closed her eyes again. When Julie had finished the cigarette, she quickly stubbed it out and called, ?Where?s my coffee? I need coffee, damn it!? A nervous-looking young woman hurried into the room, holding a steaming mug. ?Sorry, Miss Winston,? she said. Julie took the mug without a word. After the assistant had left the room, the reached into a drawer and pulled out a bottle of pills. She opened the bottle, shook out two of them, and swallowed them with a mouthful of coffee. The Wizard and the Devil continued to watch. ?What are those?? he asked. ?Just a little pick-me up,? the Devil said with a smile. The coffee and pills seemed to revitalize Julie. She took off the dress, and changed into a very elegant, and very expensive, pantsuit. The assistant returned to help touch up her makeup. Soon Julie was back in the studio, back before the camera. ?This looks very repetitive?very boring,? the Wizard observed. ?She?s having a grand time,? the Devil insisted. ?Besides, her life isn?t all work and no play?far from it.? She then pointed a finger at the screen, and the scene suddenly changed. Julie was now sitting at a table in what appeared to be a very trendy club. She was surrounded by half a dozen other young men and women; they could best be described as ?the beautiful people.? Each had a drink, and there was a blue haze of smoke surrounding them. Julie seemed quite animated. ?She?s clearly the center of attention,? the Devil observed. The Wizard peered intently at the screen. ?That woman on the end?isn?t that the actress who used to date Jack Nicholson?? The Devil nodded. ?And the girl next to her?.isn?t she a singer or something?? The Devil laughed, ?Oh, Wizard, you don?t really know what?s going on in the outside world anymore, do you?? Julie pressed her body closer to the handsome man next to her. The couple turned their heads toward each other and kissed. ?You probably don?t recognize him,? the Devil said, more than a hint of contempt in her voice. ?He?s only the most successful young actor in Hollywood today.? The hours sped by as the group continued their revelry. Julie continued to cuddle with the handsome actor; every so often, they went out on the dance floor. Finally, she excused herself for a trip to the ladies? room. The Wizard watched as Julie hurried into a stall and closed the door. When she exited a couple of minutes later, he noticed her wiping traces of a white powder from around her nostrils. ?Cocaine!? he exclaimed. The Devil smiled again. ?Just a little pick-me up,? she said matter of factly. The Wizard shook his head, but said nothing. Finally, the party broke up. Julie and the actor stepped out onto the sidewalk, where a limousine awaited them. The couple was whisked to a luxury hotel, and soon they were in Julie?s suite, stripping off their clothes and leaping into the bed for more than an hour of sex, fueled by passion and stimulants. The Wizard noticed it was going on 3 a.m. when the actor climbed out of bed and pulled on his clothes. He walked over to the bed, leaned down and gave Julie a quick kiss good- bye. ?You were fantastic, as ever, babe,? he said. ?Call me when you?re in town again, OK?? With that, he was off, and Julie soon drifted off to sleep. The Wizard could contain his anger no longer. He raised his arms above his head, cried, ?Enough!? and pointed a finger at the screen, which went dark. Moments later, a new scene appeared on the screen. A dark-skinned young woman was asleep on a fold-out couch. The floor of the cramped apartment?s living room was littered with toys, and the furniture was clearly old and worn. ?What have you done?? the Devil asked, genuine surprise in her voice. ?I?ve put her in the life I had prepared for her.? The Devil nodded her head. ?I?m impressed, old man. I didn?t think you could still harness that kind of power.? She paused, and suddenly looked concerned. ?You?ve obviously made her poor. Did you have to make her black, too?? ?Actually, she?s half-black. Her father was black; her mother is Cuban. Her name is Julia Washington.? The Devil shook her head. ?Great,? she said sarcastically. ?A double outcast.? Just then, the wind-up alarm clock by the couch went off. It was 5 a.m. ?Couldn?t you at least let her get a decent night?s sleep?? the Devil asked. They watched as Julia sat up, yawned, and rubbed her eyes. She wearily climbed out of bed. Although she wore a loose cotton nightgown, her buxom figure was clearly visible. The Devil frowned. ?She?s barely five feet tall.? ?Five two,? the Wizard corrected. The Devil studied Julia?s round face, which was framed by lustrous black hair. ?She is pretty,? she admitted. ?But she?ll go to fat by the time she?s forty.? ?There are things more important than looks,? the Wizard said. Both watched as Julia went through her morning routine. Coffee, oatmeal, a shower, changing into her work uniform. The Devil screwed up her face in disgust. ?Ohh! Brown polyester! How gauche!? Julia gave herself one final glance in the bathroom mirror. She then cracked open the door of the apartment?s only bedroom. Her mother slept in one bed; her son Tyrone was in the other. She stepped over to the sleeping boy and gave him a tender kiss on the cheek. ?Be good for grandma today,? she whispered. She then hurried out of the apartment and her ten-block walk to work. She was part of the breakfast crew at a fast food restaurant. ?Single mother?? the Devil asked with a sigh. ?Yes,? the Wizard said. ?The father left her before the baby was born.? ?Why does this give you your jollies?? the Devil asked. The Wizard ignored her, and they watched Julia?s day unfold. Except for one ten-minute break, she was on her feet for the entire eight hours of her shift. The restaurant was crowded with people at breakfast and lunch, and still busy even in the period between meals. The customers were mostly curt and unfriendly; more than a few were downright rude when the service wasn?t fast enough, the coffee wasn?t hot enough, the eggs or burgers weren?t warm enough. Through it all, Julia maintained a warm, friendly attitude. The Devil shook her head. ?The girl?s a glutton for punishment, isn?t she?? When her shift ended at 2 p.m., Julia hurried home. As the apartment door opened, Tyrone cried, ?Mommy!? The fatigue vanished from Julia?s face as she swept the boy into her arms. She turned to her mother and asked, ?How?s he been today?? ?Just good as gold,? the woman said with a smile. The three sat down for a quick lunch of soup and sandwiches; Julia then went into the bedroom to change her clothes. She then headed out to her next job, behind the counter of a convenience store. Getting there involved a 20-minute ride on a crowded bus. She had to stand the entire way. ?This is too much,? The Devil said. The scene fast forwarded to 7 p.m. Julie was home at last. ?Do you want something to eat?? her mother asked. Julia shook her head. ?I?m too tired to eat.? But she wasn?t too tired to spend an hour playing with her son. She clearly delighted in the three-year-old?s budding development. When she announced ?Bedtime!? at the stroke of 8, the boy protested, but he was soon in pajamas and under the covers, his mother reading a bedtime story. The Wizard and the devil watched until a weary Julia had climbed into bed. The Devil made a sweeping gesture of her own, and the scene changed again. Julia was Julie again. They watched her shower, dress, and pack a couple of bags. A limousine delivered her to an airport, and she was soon settling into a seat in first class. The flight attendant handed her a vodka martini as soon as she sat down. The scene then shifted to Paris, where Julie was the center of another photo shoot. This one was outdoors, with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. ?You see?? the Devil said to the Wizard. ?This girl has a life. A career. She gets to see the world.? The Wizard observed that the settings, the outfits and the sex partners were constantly changing, but there was an underlying sameness to the routine. ?Same thing, different background,? the Wizard grumbled. When Julie had dropped off to sleep in her lush Paris hotel room, the Wizard took control, and she was Julia again. Julia?s routine changed little, except on Sundays, when she, her mother and son went to church. Julie, on the other hand, seemed to be in a life of perpetual change, hopping around the globe on assignments, partying with the rich and famous. The battle for her soul raged on for weeks as she hopped back and forth between lives. The mage and Lucifer seemed to be evenly matched in a magical standoff. Strangely, time inside the mall had ceased to advance, although weeks had passed in Julie/Julia?s life. Finally, the Wizard proposed a solution. ?Why don?t we let her choose? And if she decides to remain Julia, you?ll tear up her contract?? The Devil laughed. ?You really think she?ll choose schlepping burgers and slurpees over the life I?ve given her? OK!? The Devil made a sweeping gesture, and both Julie and Julia appeared before them. The two women were startled, and looked at each other curiously. ?I?I?m you,? Julie said. ?And you?re me,? Julia said with wonder. ?The reason you?re both here,? the Wizard said, ?Is that you can?t live two lives forever. We?ve decided it?s time for you to make a choice.? ?And this old fool,? the Devil said, looking directly at Julie and pointing a contemptuous finger at the Wizard, ?actually thinks you?ll choose to stay a poor single mother. Don?t you love your new life? The money? The travel? The fame? The hot sex? Your fabulous looks?? ?It?s a ball,? Julie said, but the statement was oddly lacking in conviction. Now it was the Wizard?s turn to fix his steady gaze on her. ?Does your life really have a purpose? Other than adding to the number of magazine covers you appear on, or the number of actors you sleep with?? Julie?s eyes were cast downward. ?They aren?t all actors,? she said softly. ?What about you, Julia?? The Wizard asked. ?Do you find purpose in your life?? The young woman?s eyes brightened. ?Oh, yes,? she said with a smile. ?I?m trying to build a better life for me, my mother, and Tyrone. I want us to be able to move to an apartment in a better neighborhood, so Tyrone can go to a good school. Maybe even get a house someday.? ?Not likely on minimum wage!? the Devil exclaimed. The Wizard ignored the remark, and continued speaking tenderly to the young mother. ?You really love the boy, don?t you?? ?Oh yes,? Julia said, her eyes glistening with tears. ?He?s the center of my life. I?d do anything for him!? ?Well,? the Wizard said, turning to the Devil. ?I guess she?s made her choice.? There was weariness in his voice; the battle had clearly drained him. Without a word, the Devil pointed at Julie, and she disappeared forever. ?What happens to me now?? Julia asked. ?Now?you go on with your life. Good luck, dear,? he said; and with a flourish, he sent her back to restaurant job. In the instant before she disappeared, he said, ?Take good care of your boy. He?s counting on you.? The Devil angrily grabbed the contract from the nearby table and tore it to shreds. ?You may have won this time, mage,? she said. ?But be warned, you?re not going to catch me off guard next time.? With a final sweep of her hands, she?and the store?vanished. The Wizard found himself standing in the middle of the Gap. A puzzled-looking salesgirl approached the Wizard. ?Er, is there anything I can help you with, sir?? ?No, not today, thank you,? he said, and turned to walk away. His energies were just about spent, but he mustered the effort for one final spell. At that moment, as Julia was cleaning the restaurant after the breakfast rush, he made sure she found an envelope in one of the booths. It contained ten crisp one hundred dollar bills. The wealthy man who had left it behind wouldn?t miss it, and would never reclaim it. Julia would receive the money a few weeks later. Julia wondered if it was a gift from heaven?or from her friend, the Wizard. THE END

SRU Friends are Thicker than Wishes

Here's my SRU anniversary story that I mentioned last week. I had hoped to have it ready for the October 8 anniversary, but fell a little short. Either that or I got a little longwinded ... again. This story is a little different from the others as I've written in the SRU universe in that its also a prequel of sorts to one of my non-SRU stories posted last month. It didn't start out that way, but given some of the characters I needed for this, I think it worked out better. You...

It was October 12, 1998 and my friend agreed to go in costume if I got it for him and he said any costume so I planned to do him over good. I still remember the conversation...

SRU: Wizard Revenge By Paul G Jutras "Where is that kid?" The Wizard grumbled behind the front counter of the store. "I'd fire that rotten boy if it wasn't for the fact the last kid I fired turned me into a woman for a whole year. There must be some way to rid myself of him without risking his wrath." The wizard put on a CD and began to listen to some music when his young servant came into the door. The ringing of the bell above the door got his attention. "You're late...

SRU High School Reunion

This is written for the third anniversary of the SRU universe. It's a little late, but somethings can't be helped. The first story specifically designated as SRU (although I spelled it all out the first couple of posts) was posted to the TSA-TALK mailing list on October 8, 1996. At first, I wasn't sure if I would have the time to write an anniversary story. There was the crossover series with the Altered Fates universe to consider, although that project now looks dead. And I didn't...

But then, I never received much in the way of review one way or the other. Oh well. Those who archive stories freely may do so,...

Frank didn't have very good people skills and many people he had met and associated with hated him. The fact that his parents had both been murdered and the loss of his job had caused the rational Frank's mind to snap. He had leaped to the...

SRU Hose

SRU Hose By WEKM Jon was wandering about the mall while his wife Joanne was getting her hair done. Now Jon knew the mall fairly well and had an excellent sense of direction. He prided himself on it. He also had an uncanny memory for the placement of stores in malls as well. He could probably find his way to any shop in any mall he had ever been to weather he had been in the shop or not. He just seemed to be able to see the malls in his head, a trait that his wife had found either...

SRU Stargirls Visit

Authors Notes: The mighty SRU universe belongs to Bill Hart, whom I gladly tip my bonnet to in the hopes I'm not breaking anything here. This story contains a few words not seen on TV as well as an object PC people and people with aversion to sexual items would do well to avoid. This is just a piece of fluff filler before I begin my story universe. Stargirl's reply as she walks out the SRU door I've taken from another SRU story, though I don't remember which one. Also, The...

SRU Oldtimer part 2 Second Chances

Intro: Three years ago Pretzelgirl wrote a story called "oldtimer in the SRU universe. It was probably one of the best SRU stories written except for the ending. My apologies if I don't do justice to her work. SRU Oldtimer part 2: Second Chances By Reality Check 'She gasped in abject horror at gnarled, withered hands still sporting long bright pink nails. Her chin widened, sprouting a cracked, weedy, sun-reddened texture. The candy-striper's petite nose exploded into a ruddy,...

Wizards Apprentice 4 the Vale in WinterChapter 16

"There are two sides to a blade," the ancient master informed me. "but only one edge." I ducked under his sweeping stroke, knowing it was intended to keep me moving more than it was to strike me. "There are two ends to a sword," he continued, "but only one point." The point sought me, and I avoided it, trying to focus on both the words and the weapon, unwilling to believe either was less dangerous than the other. "The edge follows the point and together they draw a line," The...

SRU Made for Each Other

SRU: MADE FOR EACH OTHER by Roy Del Frink Leland Welker was strolling through the mall one day when he saw a strange sight. It was an old-fashioned wooden shop called "Spells R Us". He was bored, so he decided to enter on a whim. Leland couldn't believe all the junk in there, and didn't understand what he would do in a place like this. Just then he noticed a short old man behind the counter. He looked at least eighty years old, and he wore an old crimson bathrobe. He asked the...

SRU The Contract

Spells-R-Us & The Contract by Bad Irving Standard disclaimer, if under 18 do not read this tale. Actually this disclaimer is just a chance to give some credit, where credit is due. The story "The Reviewer from Hell" by Happyguy was the starting idea for the creation of this story. It is with Happyguy's permission that I take his concept and proceed with my own story. The characters in this story are not a carry over from Happyguy's tale, but, the Spells-R-Us (SRU) characters...

SRU The Retrun fo the Love Doll

SRU: The Return of the Love Doll By Ran Dandel The Riding Club of the University was one of its most exclusive organizations. It was like a non-resident fraternity. The members gathered there to meet and socialize, and to build their skills at networking. The exclusivity was guaranteed because only the wealthiest students in good standing in their respective cities' Society could become members. Members who graduated were destined to wield great power in whatever ...

SRU The Thin Line of Love

Author's Note: This story is a continuation of my previous SRU story entitled "The Love Hate Rule". If you haven't read that, it may help before you read this one, but it is not necessary. This story is pretty much free standing. I hope you enjoy it as much as it's predecessor. ----------------- SRU: The Thin Line of Love By Crunch Andrea Clark had just stepped out of the shower. It was another lost bout of trying fight off the sexual urges she felt. It...

SRU The Good Wifes Guide

SRU: The Good Wifes Guide. by Darkside --------------------------- This contains actual extracts from a Home Economics textbook printed in the early 60s. It did the rounds at work a while ago and it just begged to have a story written around it. This is my one and only sojourn into the 'Spell R Us' universe. So I hope you all like it. As an experiment, I've deliberately left much to the imagination. This is more of a covert TG story than most. At was also an experiment in that I...

SRU The Way of the Manga

SRU: The Way of the Manga By Melissa Virus Copyright 2000 Matt and Jason headed into the mall. Every Tuesday they went to Cedar Oaks Mall to pick up the latest issues of their favorite comics at Skanky's Comic and Video; today was especially exciting because a Class of Ninja High School video Jason had special-ordered was supposed to be coming in. SRU The Pardon

A version of this story appeared on Big Closet and on Sapphire's TG Fiction List. It may be added to other free archives as long as it does not violate Bill Hart's strictures on the use of his characters or my own notice at the bottom of the story. SRU: The Pardon By Lainie Lee The shabbily dressed man hurrying through the holiday shopping crowd slipped into the first door he came to. Hal David figured it must be a side corridor into service areas of the mall where he could hide...

SRU The Shop Keeper

Author's note: I've always liked the SRU stories. This is my contribution. I hope you like it. LS SRU - The Shop Keeper By Lord Stormbringer "Damn, look at all that lost business," Tony said as he looked out of his storefront in the mall. Shoppers were bumping into each other in their hurry past his clothing store. He turned around and surveyed the few women shoppers comparing clothes. He went into the office at the back with the two-way glass window. Tom was reading a girly...

SRU The Big Mall

SRU: The Big Mall Edmonton isnt the first place you think of when you think "tourist destination" But there is one site that brings people from all over the world to see it - The Big Mall. Its real name is West Edmonton Mall, but nobody calls it that. Its always just been - The Big Mall. At one time, it was the biggest in the world, and I think its still in the top three. I'm not sure if words do it justice, but the place is ... HUGE. It has a rollercoaster, an enormous wave pool, ...

Shirley was sixteen and had transferred into the adjoining St. Mary's School for Girls as a...

SRU An Error in Application

Warning: This story contains adult material. SRU: An Error in Application by Fringold Sixfingers Lyle Green had heard several rumors about the 'Spells R Us' shop in the mall. Sense he did not believe in magic, he took the stories as tells of fancy. There was one rumor he was not about to ignore. The best place to buy computer hardware was SRU. Lyle could use an upgrade to keep him competitive. Soon he was outside the shop. Not at all what he was expecting. The store looked more...

SRU Pantyhose

SRU: PANTYHOSE BY PAUL G. JUTRAS "Why can't I wear clothes like that." Was the thought that often ran through Chris's mind. Chris was a pleasant twenty-two year old. Anyone who looked at him would think he was a normal boy checking out girls. What he was looking at was the clothes they had on. Clothes he wish he could have on. His mother's side of the family ran a night club and during the early evening he listened to the music and wondered what it would be like to feel silk...

SRU Half and Half

SRU: HALF AND HALF By Roy Del Frink A disgruntled lady walked up to the counter, holding a paper bag in her arm. "Listen here, buddy," she said to the old man behind the counter, "you sold me a potion that would turn my husband into the next thing I said. I said, 'Change my husband into a Chippendale dancer,' and look what happened!" She placed the bag on the counter, and opened it. The lady pulled out two chipmunks, dressed in tiny top hats, tuxes, and canes. One had a...

SRU Learning French

SRU: Learning French By Demonn Hi, my name is Todd or should I say was Todd. I am, was 5' 10" and maybe just a bit of a geek. I wasn't ugly mind you but I wasn't all that incredibly strong. But that didn't stop me having friends like everyone else. It was a Saturday and like always, I was going to have some fun at my friend's house. I was a simple 15 year old guy, who enjoyed some R&R, when, my high school, Rivers High, was out. I mean who didn't. When I arrived at...

SRU Lovers Knot First Draft

Some time ago, Raven and I collaborated on an SRU story called Lovers (K)Not, which is unfortunately incomplete at this time. Raven created the story idea, basic plot and the main characters, and then asked me to write a rough draft based on the information that he gave me. After I completed the rough draft, I sent it to him, where he polished it up and added quite a bit more detail as well as his own touches. Raven posted each chapter to Fictionmania after he'd finished his...

SRU Catwalk Comeback

SRU: Catwalk comeback By MTG 15th August 2002 Well, a month before heading back to South Bank University to complete my Computing degree, I was in the Bentalls centre in Kingston shopping for bits and pieces so I would be ready when term started in about a month's time. After my quite literally 'out of this world' year I had already been itching to get back to normality after April - post the events of July I couldn't wait for term to start - with Steve having already...
