prologue to my first published story.
Inquiring Minds Issue #1 Part 1

You wouldn't think it possible, but as J.J. screamed for what seemed
like the umpteenth million time at anybody that walked into his office
with bad news that the latest issue of his tabloid was delayed for such
and such a reason, J.J. managed to top that by reaching such a volume
that even the hearing impaired went "What the hell was that?"
Today the latest sap unlucky enough to be at the screaming face of the
Editor in Chief's yelling would be its newest employee, Matt Parker.
"Parker what the hell were you thinking? You got drunk while on the
job, you almost exposed your true identity and the nature of this
company in public view, and worst of all having Jessica Alba, the celeb
you were assigned to replace, catch you in the act so she was face to
face with you as her twin. And worse of all you didn't get any pics for
the issue, so because of you we wont get any pics of Alba getting some
lezbo action from Katie Holmes."
Taking the respite, as J.J.'s tirade seemed to wound down, Matt began
to open his mouth to say something in his defense, but was cut off as
J.J. started on the now bewildered Matt again.
"Your fired Parker!!! Get out!"
However before J.J. could dramatically point towards the door to his
office, a rather large sounding explosion rocketed the office, followed
by what seemed like a gaggle of girls screaming in fear.
However before J.J. or even Matt could take a step to the door, in
walked what looked like a seemingly normal looking 22ish year old guy.
J.J. in his usual succinct manner, broke the quietness that followed
the explosion, "What in the name of hell was that all about Rimmer?"
The 22 year old spoke up, however the voice that came out was most
definitely female and in particular it was the throaty sexy voice of
Scarlett Johansson, and not the expected voice of a male 22 year old.
"Sorry J.J.," the voice of Scarlett said sheepishly, "Was working on
way to extend the battery life of the transformation camera that allows
one to better transform without the usual side effects of half
transformations and the like. Obviously, there's still some bugs to
work out, but it looks like Dave is going to be out of commission for
awhile as he was my test subject."
"Sorry Boss." said Dave who had just stuck his head in the door,
however half of the Dave's head was Scarlett's and the other half was
Dave's who spoke with his usual gravely voice.
With a sigh J.J. cut off Dave's apologies, "Okay. Okay. Rimmer get out
of here and fix Dave, because having the voice of Scarlett Johansson
come out of your mouth and Dave having half of Scarlett's face is oddly
turning me on and creeping me out at the same time. So get out of here
and tend to Dave."
The sexy throaty voice of Scarlett spoke up again and said, "You got it
J.J."
"And that is just plain disturbing." J.J. said to himself as he glanced
down and saw that Rimmer didn't just have Scarlett's voice, he also had
her long sexy legs clad in female puma sneakers sticking out of a way
too short mini skirt that sash swayed its way out the door.
Turning his attention to Matt who was just turning around to leave,
J.J. turned to him and said "Parker your still here? Go out and get my
story, you're hired again. Now am giving you a second chance, go out
and get my Alba piece and this time do it right huh?"
After a stunned Matt left, J.J. walked over to the door and looked out
of his office, to survey the damage the explosion caused and saw that
practically his entire staff had partially transformed into Scarlett
Johansson.
Suddenly another explosion came from the direction of Rimmer's Research
and Development Lab, followed again by a female scream. However this
time it was Katie Holmes who stuck her head out the door of Rimmer's
Lab, and yelled out to the general office area.
"Everything's fine." As if in answer a fire erupted behind Katie, and
Katie went eep and ducked her head back into the door and yelled out
"I've got it under control. Really."
Exasperated by the scene outside his office, J.J. walked back in his
office, sat in his office chair and put his head, face down, on the
table.
As J.J. did this the fire sprinklers on the ceiling above J.J.'s head
went off and managed to soak every piece of paper, surface and even
J.J.'s lucky jacket.
"Just Great."
