Hello everybody. This is Bobbie again. I have a new partner, and he was
a total pain in the ass. This is how I made him more bearable.
Major Jackson said, "You are about to lose Nicole. Howie was drafted by

Larry was starting to get back on his feet and was giving of his time at
the Salem General Hospital 's Oncology Unit. Larry would help some of
the breast cancer victims wear or use wigs or breast forms. ( The
Cancer Patients also loved them and Larry's acts. Larry had a song and
dance act that showed how real the forms could look and act. I saw it
and it was funny, but it got the patients to wear some of the gear. Some
ordered ones of their own liking. ) Aunt Belle was right. Larry had
totally changed.
Larry had a person trained as a brewmeister, so if he could not work,
the brewery would not close.
Back to my new partner. Gerry was a total jerk. I had complaints against
him from half of the women who are with the Salem Sheriff 's Department.
I was tempted to say " Toss him out the door."
Major Jackson said, "I don't blame you. I feel the same way. However
Gerry has some political pull and we have our hands tied."
I said, "Andy, I have pull as well. I don't use it unless it is an
extreme emergency. Gerry is not acting right."
Major Jackson said, "I forgot about that Bobbie. You use it so little,
that most would think you are a average person. You have earned more
with your skills and deeds than with your pull."
I said, "Thank you Boss. Now what do we do about Gerry?"
Major Jackson said, "Bring him into line or toss him. Connections be
dammed."
I said, "That is easy. The Big question is how." I did not want to bring
'Aunt' Belle into a what was basically an internal matter. I also didn't
want to see a sexual harassment suit brought against the department.
I called Helga after work. I said, "Helga, this Bobbie. I have a favor
to ask of you."
Helga said, "What is it Bobbie?"
I said, "Can I borrow some of Larry's Laurie gear?"
Helga said, "Yes Bobbie. What do you need it for?"
I said, "It is for work Helga. I got a deputy who needs a few lessons."
Helga said, "Well there is some gaffs, various breast forms, and some
wigs."
I said, "If you have a medium length wig that would be great, but just
pick one. The rest will do. I will rinse the gaff and breast forms and
soak them in Lysol. I know Larry is a very clean person, but I will not
harm my trainee if I can prevent it. I can get some of the clothing I
need from the vice unit."
Helga said, "O.K. Bobbie. All this is just hard on Larry and me."
I asked, "What is hard Helga?"
"Larry is still feeling down and with Nicole leaving, he is almost
suicidal. Ziller wont leave Larry alone unless I am here," said Helga.
I said, "I decided to try letting a pet in our house. Where did Nicole
find Ziller?"
Helga said, "From the no kill shelter."
I said, "Great, I will talk it over with Barry."
Although Barry has a regular office, he did some work at home. It saved
on child care. Barry did keep tabs with his office. When I had to work
nights, Bary would work at his office. It would also make it easy for a
dog to be trained.
I also decided to talk to my boss. I said, "Major Jackson. I may have a
way to teach Gerry a lesson, but I need your help."
Major Jackson said, "O. K. Bobbie. What do you need?"
I said, "For you to tell Gerry he must work in Vice for awhile. He must
think he is to work the John detail."
Major Jackson said, "Now how will that help? Oh now I see. You plan is
to put the shoe on a different foot for him. I will tell him all our
women are known." He was hard pressed not to laugh.
I said, "That could work. Also get some female uniforms in his size.
Just in case."
Major Jackson broke out laughing and said, "Go ahead. Just let me see
his new look."
The next day I returned to my patrol duties. The day was routine except
for at lunch. I stopped the Irish Inn and Gerry flirted with the wait
staff. They complained about it to my 'Uncle'. Wild Bill. He told me. I
told him, "I have plans for Gerry. If this was off duty and out of
uniform, I would let it go. When he is on the clock, I want him to a
have a firm and polite attitude."
My 'Uncle' agreed with me. In three days, Gerry would not know what hit
him.
I called Major Jackson. He told me, "By the end of the 4th of July
Weekend, Gerry will be on the Vice squad and you will have orders to
train him to be a lady. I hope this works."
So did I. I found one of Gerry's victims. Jane was single and willing to
go along. I would have done all of this on my own, but I am married. I
love my husband. I will not endanger that. I was lucky with Barry. He
supported my views and didn't interfere with my job. I also found a few
male deputies who were willing to help. They are straight, but felt
Gerry needed to curbed before he brought real trouble to the department.
One offered to beat the snot out of Gerry. He is a friend of Jane.
Well the 4th of July came and went with all the usual fun and merriment.
After the parade, we went to Mark and MaryLu's for a Bar B Que. Wild
Bill, Herman Hessman, and Mark all tied at the cook off. Someone called
for an Iron Chef type cook off. The judges said no and go and have fun
at home. The judges had parties to go to as well. 'Uncle Bill' had
brought some steaks, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Herman came with some
real hickory wood and some charcoal. Barry and I had brought some
watermelon and salt potatoes. (Scotty had left a taste for them on me.)
'Aunt' Belle had brought a keg of good beer. (One of Larry's test
brews.) Hedi had brought cole slaw. Helga chipped in with some baked
beans. Larry had made some potato salad. Henery had brought in some ice
cream. Howard came with fresh strawberries and a shortcake. Nicole had
made home made whipped cream. Hilda came with a macaroni salad. Mark had
clams and fresh corn on the cob. MaryLu had made some lemonade from real
lemons.
Barry made a joke about Joe's Used Autos needing a few more cars because
MaryLu had used some of them. Pam had came with birthday cakes. Roxanne
had brought some root beer. Everyone had their swim suit and from the
pool deck we could see the firework display. This was not counting what
Wild Bill had planned. 'Aunt' Belle also had that keg like ice. She told
me she put the keg in the freezer and bought a new plastic trash can.
The trash can was filled to 1/8 full of water and that was froze. Next
she made a keg sized form and added water around that and that was
froze. After that, she would remove the form. On the day of the party
she put the keg the hole and added water. The keg would be cold for two
days that way. Roxanne and Helga was not drinking. Helga carried Larry's
unborn child. No matter what sex it would be, she said it would be named
after both Larry and Nicole. Roxanne was willing to be a designated
driver. Sgt. Jo Friday stopped by while on patrol and was asked if she
could come back for the fireworks.
Mark said, "Yes and bring your swim suit."
Jo said, "Sure and Bobbie you can tell me about that new patrol partner
you have. He is been a real jerk to some of my people."
I winced. I thought great another headache from him. Maybe I should tell
the boss to toss Gerry. However I said, "I have a training plan for him
that will bring him in line or else. If you want to help, we will talk
it over at lunch on the Sixth. I don't want or need an inter-
departmental type feud going. That is only good for a ball game. But for
work, it causes a lot of trouble that we don't need."
Jo said, "OK. I will save work for work. I will flip you for lunch. Same
stakes as normal? Winner picks the spot and the loser buys."
I said, "Not this time. I will buy and you can pick the spot. Gerry is
my headache and your my guest."
Jo said, "I will go easy on you. The Ye Old Irish Inn. Thanks to you,
most of us cops get a discount."
I said, "You always did. That was how I got caught when I was 16 and
sleeping in the tool shed there. A patrol car came in for some coffee
and sandwiches and saw me. When they talked to my 'Uncle'. he didn't
press charges, but gave me a job and place to stay. That is a story for
another time." ( Wild Bill had always had a sandwich tray or a deli tray
made up for the police or fire fighters. He also would make a bulk salad
and leave dressings out. The bathrooms were also open. He also would
leave the coffee pot set up for them. )
Jo laughed and said, "You're kidding me."
I said, "No it is true. I will tell that story on Tuesday at lunch."
Belle noticed that Larry was feeling down and said, "Mark can I borrow
the pool house for a short time?"
Mark said, "Sure go ahead."
Belle went to Larry and had go with her to the pool house. A half hour
later they both came out and Larry looked more relaxed. He said "Thank
you Belle. I hope I didn't inconvenience you in any way."
Belle said, "It is no problem. You needed some help and I gave it to
you. Now lets join in the fun. Race you to the keg. Last one there does
time under the keg."
Larry said, "You're on."
It was a tie so both Larry and Belle did time under the keg with Bill
running the tap.
July 6th came and I was finishing up on some paper work. I was called
into Major Jackson's office. He said, "Bobbie I hope your plan works."
I asked, "What is the bad news Andy?"
Major Jackson said, "I just got off the phone with Major Domo of the
Salem Police."
I said, "Let me guess, Gerry has made him mad or is giving him an
ulcer."
Major Jackson said, "Are you now a psychic or is there something you
should be telling me?"
I said, "Jo Friday spoke with me on the Fourth. She told me Gerry was
not acting right. I am meeting her for lunch today. She will fill me in
all the details."
Major Jackson said, "Do the same to her. If your plan is what I think it
is, tell her to bust Gerry for prostitution. We deny all knowledge of
Gerry and bail him out later in the morning."
I laughed and said, "Your on Andy. If this works, you owe both Jo and me
a Surf and Turf dinner with all the trimmings. Plus our dates."
Major Jackson said, "Deal Bobbie. But if this don't work. Your buying
six Surf and Turf dinners."
I asked, "Why six Andy?"
Major Jackson said, "No matter what happens, I will take my wife.
Remember the winner picks the place."
Knowing Andy's tastes, it would be a paycheck if I lost. While both my
'Uncle'. and Herman had good offerings, The Dino Rib Joint was stiff
competition to both of them. They have good Jazz and R & B music there.
Then there was the new place. Kobe's Ichi Ban Japanese Steak House. If I
lost, I would find a way to collect off of Gerry. I somehow knew that
Andy had the same thoughts.
Andy told me of his meeting with Gerry. Andy said, "Gerry was totally
off the wall, but agreed to do it. I don't think he knows what you have
planned for him."
I said, "If he did, he would quit work or come in line with views of the
department."
I came back from lunch with Jo. She did let me off easy. She wanted only
a burger and fries with ice tea. I had the same. She told me everything
about Gerry. I also filled her in on my plans. I also told her what Andy
said. Jo was all smiles.
After lunch I dealt with Gerry. I first had Gerry strip and shower. Then
I made him shave all over. Next Jane came in with some nair. The was
applied to Gerry. Jane and I were using cotton balls and long handled
tongs. Then I gave Gerry a full body wax. A little revenge for us
ladies. Next I produced the gaff. Gerry said, "I am not wearing that
thing!"
I said, "You will put it on or I will call in both Henderson and
Johnson. They will hold you down while I slip this on you."
Gerry put the gaff on by himself. Next came the breast forms. They were
46 DD. Johnson had stopped by and said, "Do you need me for anything?"
Gerry stood still as I glued them into place. I then placed the wig that
Helga gave me on Gerry's head and glued into place. Larry left me a note
with the gear. It said, "I hope my gear works well for you Bobbie. I
wish Nicole was staying, but she must do what her heart commands. The
wig is new and the breast forms are way to big for my look. Peace.
Larry."
Larry was sounding a little better.
Next came the panties, bra, and camisole. After all that the corset. It
was a hot pink Pleather one. I cinched it down real tight. Next was a
black mini skirt. Then the Fishnet Stockings and Stiletto High Heels. I
made Gerry walk back and forth until I thought he he looked like he
could walk in them with out breaking a leg. Then I had Jane put make up
on Gerry. Hot Cherry lipstick and matching nail polish. She also put on
him, long false finger nails. I gave Gerry a purse that help nothing but
I said, "In here is your wire. Your name for this assignment is Amber
Light . Now you need to soften your voice and raise it slightly. Now say
your role name in until I say stop."
Gerry kept saying " My name is Amber Light." while I tweaked his voice.
After an hour I said, "Amber your voice is perfect. Keep using that
one."
I did slip a wire on Gerry. I just didn't say where it was on him. After
all, I didn't want him to be hurt needlessly.
I made Gerry come in to work as Amber for the next three days and to
practice being a woman. I did let some of the men flirt with him. I
never put him in uniform, but made Gerry do paperwork. I also made him
do dispatch as Amber.
Saturday night I deployed Gerry as Amber. I made sure the wire was
working. Jo Friday with her trainee had found Gerry. Officer Donna
Pringle had busted Gerry for prostitution.
I heard this over the wire. Officer Pringle: "Name please Miss."
Gerry: "My name is Amber Light."
Officer Pringle: "Do you have any I. D.?"
Gerry: "I am sorry, I do not."
Officer Pringle: "I just observed you agree to sex for money with an
under cover officer. I am placing you under arrest for prostitution."
Gerry: "I am working under cover for the sheriff's department."
Officer Pringle: "We will check that out." Then she read him his rights.
Andy true to form stated that we had no Amber Light working for us. Andy
even let The Salem Police do a Finger Print check. He did call Major
Domo and let him in on the plan. Major Domo was all for it as I later
learned. Andy made Gerry stay in lock up until Monday. Gerry had to stay
in role or really be hurt. I cannot tell you how many people hit on
Gerry.
Monday Gerry said, "Bobbie, thank you for getting me out. I will say I
am sorry to every woman in the department. I never saw it from your
point of view."
I said, "No you do not have to do that. I will pass on your thoughts.
You will do two things however."
Gerry said, "What are they?"
I said, "First you will give of yourself to the Wellman Clinic. Do
exactly what they tell you to do. The other is to write a check of at
least $500.00 to the Wellman Clinic."
Gerry said, "Done. Now can I get out my costume?"
I said, "Nope. We are going to lunch. I am meeting Jo and Donna for
lunch at the Irish Inn. You are buying. You will shower and put on the
outfit in that box."
The outfit was a sun dress and low heeled sandals. I told Gerry as I
dropped him off at the office " You have thirty minutes and you will
wear make up."
While he was cleaning up I called Jo and my 'Uncle'.
At lunch I 'filled in' both Jo and Donna. We girls kept to the burgers
and fries with iced tea for the sake of Gerry. Gerry followed suit. My
'Uncle'. offered Gerry a job. Gerry took a rain check.
Gerry is now more behaved and is acting more in a professional manner.
Well I must go back on patrol and Gerry is almost ready to on his own.
My 'Uncle'. asked me to check out Kobe's Ichi Ban. It was very tempting
