He laughed even louder, and said, "Let me explain what's happening here
Joey, may I call you Joey?"

He said, "Your in the real world now, everything you knew or thought you
knew about the world has been a lie, fed directly into your brain by the
machines. My group is on a harvesting mission, freeing minds like yours
that are young enough and strong enough to fight the machines. What better
way to gather the troops then to take them from the machines own supply?
We were freeing one mind when we disconnected the wrong cable, about 20
minds were freed as a result, we were able to save about 15 before we had
to run from the sentinels. Fortunately we escaped."
"So I'm to be a soldier?" I asked.
"No Joey, we have other plans for you, I'm sure some of the men will be
happy to see their old boss again. But first we need to get you back in
shape, the machines don't do enough to exercise the bodies they use, so we
need to get your muscled built back up. This is a very painful process and
we normally put you to sleep for it, we'll wake you in about 6 months, and
then you can start your training for your new duties."

us in on your climb to success and the troops you controlled. Sounds like
you were a regular general in there, which is even more amazing compared
to what you are out here in the real world."
"What are you talking about?" I said, again my voice sounded strange,
unused.
He smiled and said, "Joey, we also need to harvest people other then
soldiers, our Men need to releve tension, and we need to staff the
appropriate facilities. We weren't harvesting soldier when we freed you,
