The Journey - Episode 6: Power free porn video
Notes:
1- I decided to show some signs of today's civilization still existing
for two reasons: a) The world already went through several dark ages, but
none was really completely distributed worldwide (at least in historical
times) and b) We can like it or not, but today educations is pretty much
universal. I doubt that a complete return to a previous stage of
civilizations is even possible.
2 - Some of the facts I'm adding here are based on real life, the UNASUL
really exists, as well as the pocket high furnaces.
3 - The description of the view of BHorz as ugly is a joke, Belo
Horizonte means Beautiful Horizon
We began the travel to Brasilia in an accelerated pace (but not
throttling), since I wanted to minimize the possibility that Jan tracked
our path. We stopped only for the meals and for the resting of the
horses. The road was in good shape and in some spots remaining patches of
the asphalt coverage could still be seen and this contributed to tour
speed. At midday we reached the phantom city of Bhorz. It was a
depressing view! The ghost city was located in a depression surrounded by
large mountains and the road circumvented it from a higher ground. Now
only ruins could be seen and the whole landscape was gray. It was a very
ugly view.
As for my state of mind, the erotic dreams disappeared after my sex
experience with Jan. They were substituted by more prosaic dreams, always
involving me and Jan in some typical household situation. I was sure that
these images came to torture me for my decision to continue my quest. I
kept feeling the silver ring in my finger all the time and I'm sure if
Jan found us, I would return with him to OurP. The morning sickness had,
by then, completely disappeared and the only clear sign of my pregnancy
was the formidable hunger I was feeling. It was probably my impression
(or maybe the result of this hunger), but I did notice a small bump
developing below my bellybutton.
After Bhorz the road was in bad shape, but the landscape changed also and
the constant up and downs of the hills were substituted by a flatter
relief. Just outside Bhorz we saw one of the famous pocket high furnaces,
which were responsible for the continued pig iron production in that
region. I asked my companion how it was possible that the furnaces worked
without electricity, but he told me that the high furnace is an almost
perfect closed chemical reactor and that electric power was easily
substituted by mechanical craft from rivers or animal. In fact, people
from that region knew that high furnace technology predated in many
centuries the discovery of electricity, so it was no wonder that the
activity continued in spite of the civilization collapse. They used
vegetable coal harvested from the growing forests, bone powder to produce
chalk and local iron ore as raw materials. Some of the obtained pig iron
was further processed to become cast iron. That was, I could see, by far
the most prolific economic activity I found up to that point in my
journey.
Around this time we saw, distant in the north, the clouds and the
thunderstorms of the storm belt. At that time of the year (winter) the
rain belt was safe, that is, it remained in the same position for weeks,
transporting the large amounts of water vapor from the Amazon forest in
the far north to the place which once was called Spirito Santo. During
summer, however, the storm belt became unstable and moved quickly from
north to south, producing catastrophic floods everywhere. I knew that
because it was in one of these floods that I became an orphan.
We arrived at Brasilia in the fourth day afternoon. We were received by a
sign written in Portu?ol:
"Bienvenidos a Bras?lia - Capital de la Uni?n de las Na??es del Sur"
Translated: Welcome to Brasilia - Capital of the Union of the Southern
Nations (USN)
The sign contained also a map, showing the old borders of the UNS at its
maximum extension, which corresponded mostly to the South American
continent, excluding a small strip parallel to the pacific ocean in the
South, a large portion of the northwest and a tiny region in the north,
these corresponded to the countries of Chile, Colombia, Guiana and
Suriname, which didn't join the UNS at all. The UNS was, by nature, South
American, but the map showed that some islands in the north also belonged
to the UNS, most notably the island of Cuba. These were exceptions and no
one knew what happened to these islands after the catastrophic passage of
Hurricane Zoe at the time of the electrical network collapse (actually,
some of the monks believe the final collapse was caused by this
hurricane). This was so large that no classification could be given to
its strength and the history books which were written when some
civilization still existed speculated that the whole area had been wiped
out from earth due to the 400Km/h winds.
That map brought me memories of the history classes in the monastery. How
five countries in South America: Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and
Venezuela started a process of commercial integration which resulted in a
political union prior to the fall. With time several of the former
countries in the continent, as well as the already mentioned islands,
joined it, in the hope to receive protection and to profit from the
welfare and peace the union brought. After the fall this political body
still tried to function, the former French Guyana, for example, cut off
from the motherland, requested not only entrance in the UNS, but also
formal integration in as a state of Brazil (there were historical
precedents for that). All this was destroyed by the invasions of 10 after
the fall and the resulting wars. The UNS was forgotten everywhere, but it
seemed that something had survived in Brasilia, since the sign was well
preserved.
As I already wrote, most of the big cities collapsed due to the lack of
drinking water. The large sizes and populations depended strongly of a
complex system of water supply, which depended in its turn largely on
electrical pumps and hence, on electricity. The particularity of Brasilia
was that it had been built around a big lake, so the city was able to
feed its population. Maybe this explained why something of the UNS
survived there and why they still spoke Portu?ol, and not the general
language from everywhere else. It was strange to arrive in the city
coming from south and seeing all those historical buildings I knew from
the books, like the national congress or the cathedral. They were in bad
shape, but seemed still to be used by the population. The former gardens
in the "esplanada", however, had been converted into farming land.
The largest difference, from my point of view, was that Brasilia still
had an University (and not a Monastery) and so I found myself in a
unfamiliar ground. Since I didn't know how to get help, I went to search
the person who, by my account, would be the equivalent of the head monk
in the monasteries: the rector.
In fact, the difference was not as big as I imagined at first. The rector
received me and heard my story with attention. His discourse was more
similar to the ones I heard in Nitry and that of Laisa in SansB. He
always referred to the demon as the "creature" or as a "wandering brain
pattern". Unlike Laisa, however, he meant I should continue my search,
and agreed that the one responsible for the "creature" should be found
and stopped. He arranged installations at the University's guest house
for me and promised me to help locating Mara's home and the man into whom
she had been transformed.
The first part was easy, the community was small (about 1000 people lived
in the whole Brasilia area) and soon we located Mara's relatives, her
Grandparents, living in one of the abandoned compounds. They were worried
about her missing child and received well the news about her whereabouts
in OurP. Of course I didn't tell the details about her pregnancy. It
wouldn't help them. Unfortunately no one had heard a word about and
unknown man walking around, disoriented, in the neighborhood. My search
found another halt.
Me and the university students (it would be easier to call them monks,
but I felt they would get offended if I did that) initiated what they
called a "grid search" starting in the neighborhood of Mara's home.
First we found nothing, but then I noticed that something was happening
to the young girls in that neighborhood. First of all, I saw two of them
with obvious signs of pregnancy and I overheard a father discussing with
his young daughter asking "who was the father of that child".
Second I realized that the girls met always in groups and that they had
some sort of secret between them, dissolving the groups when someone
approached. I had a hunch this had something to do with my mysterious
man.
I changed my tactic. I moved to that neighborhood, occupying an empty
apartment in Mara's grandparent's compound, but all my attempts to talk
with the girls failed. The parents were no help at all, they knew nothing
and had not even realized they had a teenager pregnancy epidemic at hand.
I spent 19 day in these unfruitful attempts, until, by sheer luck, I
witnessed a strange scene. Another kind of Brat, a young boy this time,
apparently of about 10 years of age, was teasing one of the girls
(probably his sister) saying, in a mocking tone "she has a boyfriend, she
has a boyfriend!". The girl readily dismissed the boy, but then I
approached him. It was very easy to make him talk and he told me
everything I wanted to know. The girls in the neighborhood had a secret
boyfriend, hiding in some of the thousands of abandoned compounds. The
girls fed him, stole clothes for him and, of course, made love to him,
but no one knew where he was hiding.
I made acquaintance with the other brats of the neighborhood: young boys
with ages ranging from 6 to 10 years old. I suggested them to help me
locating the unknown boyfriend and they happily agreed. So, two days
later they told me they had located the man. I went there, followed by
two very large university students and we surprised the man, appearing to
be around 18 years old, when he was sleeping (of course, with someone's
daughter as his companion).
He tried to flee and was not willing to cooperate, but when I told him I
knew he was the former Mara, he started talking. As we suspected, Mara
did sleep with the man she was now and woke up in his body. The only
difference with the previous cases I had dealt with (including my own)
was that he didn't care! In fact, honestly thinking, he did what everyone
would expect from a normal teenager girl who suddenly woke up with a dick
between her legs and became four to six years older: he started using
that dick. It was a play and he had no idea of the damage he was causing
in the whole neighborhood. As for why the demon attacked a teenager girl,
it was probably not its fault. The demon had no choice, it was almost
delayed for the transformation, so it chose to attack the first female it
found and this was Mara. It was comforting to know that, at least, it was
reassuring to know that the demon was no pervert.
Fortunately the circumstances of the attack gave us a lot of
informations: it occurred at the entrance of the city, coming from the
northeast road. His name was Ted and his travel took about 28 days of
walking (which would correspond to about 800 to 1000Km). So he came from
somewhere out of the wasteland. Before leaving, however, I felt an
obligation to find a solution for Ted's problem. It was clear that he was
an almost grownup man with the mind of a teenager girl and that, if
nothing was been done, he would hurt himself or someone else (thinking
about the three pregnant girls I had seen, I concluded he had already
damaged that community).
I decided to use the only solution I could think of. I brought Ted to
visit Mara's grandparents and looking at their puzzled faces, said:
"OK, I don't have a way to explain this to you, but this is really your
granddaughter Mara, see if you can put some responsibility in his head."
Then I left, without looking backwards. I had enough trouble on my own
other than to care about a teenager boy with stamina. The university
students told me they would help the couple to adjust to that weird
situation.
The time spent in the search for Ted was not completely useless for me.
Many authorities in the city, including the alleged president of the UNS
(more properly, the mayor of Brasilia), invited me to meetings and
dinners. The president was very interested about the reports I was giving
about the path I had traveled up to then. He was particularly interested
in the reports about the energy experiments in the Nitry monastery and
promised to send emissaries to make contact.
Another particularity of Brasilia was that, due to its obvious strategic
situation, it had been protected by the military up to the last days of
the wars. The military stored a very large quantity of fuel to that
purpose, but with the end of the fights and the full collapse of the
administrative structures, the military finally disappeared as well. The
fuel, however, was still there and the present government made good use
of it, feeding the power generator of the only working hospital in the
country, which was, by the way, the university hospital.
The rector, after knowing about my pregnancy, insisted I should use the
hospital for a physical check up of my baby, so, I, completely surprised,
was submitted to a full physical exam, including something they called
"ultrasound imaging".
I never heard about that king of test. The operator made me take my
dress off, lean backwards in a hospital bed and applied some jelly
substance in my abdomen. Then he approached a metal object and touched my
belly moving it to and fro. There was something I recognized as a
television he was looking at. First I thought it was showing only noise,
but then the operator showed something pulsating in the middle of the
screen and said:
"See here, this is your baby's heart!"
Then I realized I was seeing a form around that pulsation and I could
recognize a head. It was really my baby. It was the first direct contact
I had with him. I started to cry. Then the operator told me it was
everything alright with my baby and I thanked him effusively.
With everything clear I made my arrangements to continue my journey. The
only problem was that I could not find anyone to travel with me. The
north wasteland was a no man's land and nobody had enough courage to
travel with me. I had to do the next step alone and I did not know where
I had to stop.
