The practices went on , morning practices with Lisa and Beth and afternoon training sessions with Tommy for the next two weeks. After the sessions....Stacey told them she would ask for them again if she needed them. The Friday after the last morning practice There was a note from Jack about lunch at his place... Tori stopped in her tracks , and Tess nearly walked right into her. Jessica said "Jessica, this is my roommate Tori" Jack told her handing the collander to her Jack whispered to Tori. "Play nice...She's over here making lunch for us..." Tori swallowed her bile...smiled and shook Jessica's hand. "So I hear you play soccer. Which position. " Jessica asked "Striker" Tori said handing her the collander. "I used to be a fullback on my high schools team" Jessica said straining the pasta.... "All-American Junior year" Jack said. "Jack, its not that big a deal" Jessica said Tori looked at her warily. Jessica never mentioned playing soccer before...but then again Rick had never asked her. "Tori...you must taste this and tell me what you think" Jessica said handing Tori a spoon with some sauce on it. "Ok it's probably not poisoned...." Then she remembered, it was an alternate universe...which still didn't explain Jessica's behavior. Tori went out to the table , and a few minutes later Jessica came out with plates for everyone. "fusilli marinara" Jessica smiled. "That smells wonderful" Jack said "Well Tori said it was "Not bad" , and considering how much pasta and sauce soccer players eat that's a high compliment" Jessica smiled Tess looked at Tori with a look of confusion then began to get wary... Jessica asked "Oh no, I just don't buy the happy homemaker routine" Tess said Tori thought Tess might lunge over the table then and there... then Tori remembered...Tess was the sweetest most gentlest soul in the world. Besides Jessica probably could kick Tess'es ass... "Tess?" Jack asked "You don't do anything without a reason. I'm not saying that as a bad thing just an observation. I've just noticed everything is planned you probably have had your entire wedding ceremony scripted already down to the last detail including the brie puffs. " Tess said. "Gruyere puffs, Brie is so passe....damn you're right...I just felt badly about how I've behaved. Im a bit obsessive about planning and when things go badly I lose it. Its usually not been a problem but I think recently I may have....gone too far and I want to fix things."
