Joseph woke up later than usual; it had been a really late night after
the chase from the police, he had robbed the bank where he is a clerk,

Coast Banking Group and he had exceeded his overdraft, maxed out his

As Joseph arrived at the bank, he was greeted by a police cordon with
crime scene officers walking around in forensic suits and others
carrying notepads scribbling notes. Putting on a shocked look he went
up to the nearest person and asked, "What happened here?"
"The bank was turned over last night; at first we thought it was
professional, it turns out we were wrong as the robber left a
fingerprint, we are eliminating employees so please go see Fiona who I
am sure will cross you off the list" the detective replied.
Trying not looked shocked or panic Joseph said, "No problems, but are we
open for business? I really need the money as I am broke!"
"It is going to be at least a few hours to clear up this mess, please
see Fiona and then your boss, we won't be allowing people in for ages,"
the detective said irritably.
After giving the police his fingerprints, feeling very shaken Joseph
speaks to his boss Bethany, who suggests to him to return in 3 hours.
Bethany has risen up the ranks within the bank very quickly, at the age
of 28 she is already a senior accounts manager, five foot six inches,
long brunette hair, hourglass figure with a decent bust. Joseph had
always rather fancied her and being just like her, when Bethany had gone
for a run during lunchtime, he had rummaged through her rucksack and

noticed a shop called 'Spells are Us', it had a big printed banner in
the window stating "We can solve all your problems". Joseph chuckled as
he read it, no one can solve my troubles he though, as he turned to walk
on a man dressed in a hand-made black business suit, which looked out of
place on him as he must be in his late eighties, his white hair and long
beard are really scruffy.
"Ah Joseph, glad to see you are on time," he said as he checked his gold
pocket watch.
"How the bloody hell do you know my name, we haven't met before and will
again."
"Don't get tetchy with me please, let's go into my shop so we can
discuss it, I also know you don't want to be on the street as the police
are looking for you in relation to the bank you robbed, no I am not
trying to blackmail you, just help," the man said in a calm and
controlled voice as he opened the door to the shop.
Joseph though to himself that the guy is elderly and looked frail, if he
did cause any trouble he can overpower him, so he followed the man into
a spotlessly clean shop, which has three rows of glass cabinets with
trinkets of all shapes and sizes.
"I know of your plight and would like to offer you this ring to assist
you, it's called the ring of redemption, it allows you restart your life
from this point on, but from a different point in reality, I know it's
hard to believe so I will give it to you on a 30 day tria," the shop
said casually as he handed over a ring with a huge red stone mounted on
it.
"How does it work?"
"It's simple, put on the ring, clear your mind and make one correction,
remember you only have two resets, after which I want payment of the
full amount of ?18.75, the ring will return to me until payment is
made."
Trying not to laugh out loud, Joseph studied the ring; the gem must be
worth several thousand alone, the guy is off his trolley, he would buy
it and pawn it he thought.
"It's a deal, I have a twenty pound note in my pocket so it would be
right to pay you now good sir?" Joseph smiled as he fished for a note in
his pocket.
"The magic does not work once payment is made, I suggest we conclude
business as you are going to be getting a parking ticket in 2 minutes
time, that will cause you to get noticed by the police and arrested for
robbery."
Stunned Joseph thanked the man and went out of the shop, turning around
to where the shop was, all he saw was a boarded up butchers shop, he
carried on to the shopping mall.
As he arrived at the entrance to the mall, he noticed police officers
handing out flyers with a photo of him on it, one started to walk
towards him, panicking he put on the ring and thought, "The police
cannot see or find me," nothing happened for a few seconds and then he
was somewhere else, he was not sure where, he tried to move but could
not, his position had moved as he could see the policeman look
bewildered and the head back in his direction, Joseph was now in a panic
as he could not move and the police were going to arrest him, what had
the old man done to him.
The policeman walked straight past and didn't even notice him, how odd
Joseph thought, he tried to move and now fright turned to fear, nothing
happened. A large van drove past; the reflection showed a female
mannequin in a shop window, wearing a knee length knit dress with black
tights and heels, as horror set in he could not think straight. After
about half hour a group of girls walked past and started to stare at
him, a few minutes later he felt hands grabbing him and is lifted like
he didn't weigh anything.
"That is dress I would like to try please," one of the girls that were
staring through the window said to the member of staff, as she got
closer she eyed the ring and eased it off my finger and pocketed it.
The member of staff, in her early twenties with long blonde hair started
to remove the dress from the mannequin, soon I realized I was the dress,

Joseph somehow telepathically responded.
"The agreement is over, the ring cannot do anything more for you, we can

don't worry when you get old and worn out you will transform into a new
model." The wizard laughed as he walked off.
Joseph was now a mannequin, the wizard did return after the allotted
time, although Joseph's mind had only focused on being the best
mannequin in the shop, which is where he remains.
