Falling off the deep end, I caught flashes the sky, rotating over and
over. Holding my breath, I slipped beneath the water with a gentle
parting. I luxuriated in the warm azure ebbing around me, I let a half
smile creep across my lips, playing out to a broad grin as I finally
breached the surface.
My echoing footsteps followed me as a I clambered back aboard the boat, my
shipmates lazily acknowledging my dripping return. That said, none of them
were eager to re-join me in my next dive off the far end back into the
seas lapping around us in the hazy lagoon mooring we had found late last
night. I was still getting used to tranquility of the ocean, the lack of
prying from security cameras and computer checks. It had only been a few
weeks since I had walked out on my life, but here I was off the coast
sailing round islands like there was no tomorrow, just the caught up joy
of the moment.
Hansen threw me a towel, and pointed to a spot on the deck by his side.
"You really need to take five, or maybe ten, just to enjoy the rays!"
Propping himself up on one elbow, he struck a pose. All his genetically
modified contours glistened in the sun, perfect abs, face a demi-god would
die for, and a roguish grin to seduce all.
"And as an added bonus, you get to appreciate all of this up close and
personal."
I laughed.
"You really think that would tempt me from one more dip in the sea? Come
join me, and see what you're missing."
Raising an eyebrow, he lowered his sunglasses, and gave me the once over.
"After last night's action, I have no energy. Y'all wore me out."
"Suit yourself, its such a perfect day for it."
I took a running jump, and this time cannon balled into the warm sea,
sending a plume of spray high into the air behind me.
As the sun crept over the sky, the pace of life picked up as the rest of
the crew recovered from their hangovers, found inspiration, or simply got
hungry enough to venture into the land of the conscious above deck. It was
Rozen's turn to cook, and after reeling in the fishing line, he whipped up
a lunch of snapper, pepper seaweed, and a lime salad which refreshed my
palette, if not filled a hole. Savoring the dish, I took my time to take
in the simple flavours of pepper, chickpeas, jani, and one of my personal
favourites groki berries. I relished the freshness of each ingredient,
something that not even my security clearance got me back in the city.
Manzen called out,
"You did good here, bro!"
Rozen passed him another piece of fish.
"Sure glad you were able to convince your ward to let you out here."
Rozen gave a less than humble bow as he parcelled out the last of the
meal.
"You can thank me later when you realise how bad the slop gets under the
rest of you mere mortals."
Hansen threw a slice of lime in his direction, which he theatrically
ducked.
"Bro, you need to get your throwing arm in order, if that's the best you
can do."
Another piece sailed over, this time hitting Rozen plum on the forehead.
"Better?"
Cocking an eyebrow, Rozen set the serving platter down, and sauntered over
to Hansen, who was now sat upright ready for him.
"If you will throw fruit at me, you have to expect consequences."
And with the litheness of a life long dancer, Rozen gracefully moved over
Hansen and sat down with legs either side of him, then proceeded to give
him a long, lingering kiss, teasing and tender.
Taking this as my cue to leave them in peace, I retreated to my own
personal space below deck. Given the relative lack of privacy I was used
to back in the city, aboard the yacht I had found a space that had no
surveillance, no prying eyes, and no judgemental bastards staring at me.
Here among my new found friends I was free to just be, just to express who
I had chosen to be.
Entering my cabin, I closed the door, and checked my body for wear and
tear, any bumps and bruises to fix up, and thankfully there were none. On
a boat of five men and two women I wanted to make sure I was looking my
best, though given the drunken nature of our evenings, even with all the
advanced tech we had plumbed into our bodies, I doubted any of the guys
would be getting up to much. All thoughts of men aside, Lynthia played on
my mind.
Opening my wardrobe, I stripped off my bikini, and picked out another
simple two piece swimwear. Part of me missed the spontaneity of my
autotailor, being able to make any outfit in the time it took me to
shower, but again that was a small price I paid for my current freedom. I
dressed in another two piece and sarong, and as I check myself in the
mirror, sparkling embers of sun fire ricocheted across the room in all
directions as the boat gentle rocked on the waves. Deep down I knew the
authorities and my Order would find me no matter where I was, and panic
gripped me at the very thought of having to go back, but for now I thanked
the Mater that I had the time for one last summer.
Returning above deck, Lynthia beckoned me over to the wheel house, the
wind tugging at her purple hair as she stood silhouetted against the
sunset.
"Come join me."
I smiled, and ambled over to her, the wind billowing out my sarong as I
stood on the edge. Loosing the fabric, the evening air caught and unfurled
it in a pageant of colours streaming out behind and beyond me. Without a
care I let go, and it fluttered back and up, catching in the rigging. I
took two steps forward, and launched myself once more into the blue
beyond, breath taken, held, and released as I sank into the cool lagoon.
With a splash Lynthia followed, and purple merged into blue as her hair
feathered out. Holding myself under water for the moments that followed, I
allowed the achtaea implants in my eyes to focus and take in the majesty
of the water teeming with life around me. Illuminating sunlight cascaded
around us, and Lynthia's beauty was made all the more manifest by the
oranges and yellows sparkling below the surface. Despite my vow of
solitude, I drank in her form, desire mingling with admiration, no
conscience speaking up to admonish me for my feelings. She took hold of my
hand, it appeared those feelings were mutual.
Bobbing in the swell of the boat, she tangled me with her legs, drawing me
into her embrace, purple hair entwining with my own flaxen coloured
strands, and in the embers of the daylight we shared the moment with a
lingering kiss. In the back of my mind, my vow of adoration played over
and over, to worship and adore the Mater in all ways. As the remnants of
my birth sex kindled in my briefs, Lynthia pushed herself teasingly
against me. Leaning into my ear, she whispered huskily into my ear.
"I've always wondered about you, what makes you tick, how you could give
your most precious parts..."
She reached down and delicately unfurled the encased desire from my

Gliding over her lips, a sweet smile lit up her face, and she kissed me
once more. This time the passion resonated between us, and as the kisses
merged from one to another, I allowed myself to fall back into the old
ways one last time, though as the dusk set in, one became a multitude as
we retired into Lynthia's cabin.

Sitting on the bow, legs dangling over the side, I gazed longingly down
into my hand, the small artefact glinting in the twilight. The whole
reason I was out here on the fringes, the sole reason my stomach flip
flopped at the thought of going back. All of me wanted what was to come.
The slothing away of the masculine, sacrificed in the name of the Mater
into the feminine, the totality of what I was giving away to what I was to
become. Things like names and birthrights would be things of the past, the
not-so-small matter of the loss of my parents wardship over me, and the
indignity of having to reapply to be a free woman all over again. My faith
in the Mater was all consuming, and this was the least I could do to
honour her.
"May I join you?"
Looking over my shoulder, Lynthia stood above me, a red kimono wrapped
around her frame. I patted a spot next to me with my free hand.
"Sure, I could use the company."
Sliding under the railing next to me, she placed a comforting arm around
my shoulder, and cupped my free hand with her own.
"I thought this procedure, or sacrament, or whatever you call it was
supposed to be done in the temple."
Nodding, I mentally released the artefact, and it hovered in front of me,
sparkling amongst the starry canopy above.
"Yes, and then the priest would take my virginity on the alter as the
ultimate sacrifice to the Mater, blessed be her name."
A look of distaste passed across her face.
"Seems all rather unseemly to me, no wonder the UET takes a dim view of
it."
I sighed, ready to defend my faith, and I felt her tense up. I relaxed my
shoulders, and in turn she calmed down.
"Honestly, I haven't done this through the Temple since the fifth phase,
which is why I'm out here on the fringes. I would rather do it among
people who have no vested interest, and face the consequences when I get
back to society."
Lifting my chin up, she planted a soft kiss on my lips.
"We all care for, and I've treasured every moment we've spent together.
You know full well we have a place for someone with your many talents. If
you like, we can do what ever you have to do together."
I smiled, and recalled the artifact to my hand. Landing softly, the glow
permeated my skin, radiating through my palm as I closed my fist. Looking
into her eyes, I pursed my lips, and nodded once more.
"That would be appreciated... you were my last, and..."
Adrenaline spiked in my stomach; my next words would have significant
consequences if I ever wanted to visit Temple again.
"...it would be a blessing if you were my first."
Lynthia's smile was as warm as the zenith sun, radiating a tenderness I
had never felt before. And then she blushed.
"I woud be honoured. So, how does this thing work?"
"Well, this artefact is from the Temple of Terra, and uses old archeotech
to re-sculpt me into the woman the Mater wishes me to be. No acolyte truly
knows their end appearance until the final phase has been completed."
She squeezed my hand, and brought it up to her lips. I pressed on.
"Each artifact has ten phases, steps towards the enlightenment that comes
from traversing between the boundaries of male into female, and this...
this is the final step to make me into what the Mater desires. I just
mentally let it know I am ready, and just has its way with me."
Uncurling her arm from me, she stood up, and offered her hand.
"From here, the Mater has very good taste indeed, and it all sounds
horribly complex for me. Personally I just want a nice proto-verse when I
go. You now, get the Ars to fashion me a pocket universe where I can
upload myself to when it all gets too much. Never liked the vague idea
that I may go to the side of a God when I pass. All that aside, I am glad
this is bringing you peace and happiness."
I smiled bashfully, and accepted her hand. Pulling me up, she caught me
once more in her embrace, the soft silk caressing my skin.
"Careful, or you may get a sermon on how one should always adore and
cherish the women in one's life."
Her grin was as enticing as ever, and with a gentle kiss I once more drew
her in to me. Her fingers locked into mine, and for one last, timeless
moment I felt the raw surge of my sexuality straining to be released in
the most masculine of ways. Like the finest delicacies I savoured the
feeling, conscious of what I was about to sacrifice to my Mater, knowing
that I was a willing adorant on the cusp of becoming Her's in my totality.
Like a rip tide desire surged through me, but this time we simply
cherished the embrace rather than slaked the hunger; that would come
later.
"How do we start?"
Opening my hand, the glowing artifact refracted back the first tantalising
shards of sunlight now edging over the horizon to the South. It spiraled
upwards, yearning, willing, silently beckoning me onward to the embrace of
the Mater. Discarding my chiffon wrap, I stood naked to the cool elements,
goosebumps running over my skin as the delicate breeze wrapped itself
around me. Loose and free, my body was in its last, natural state, nine
tenths woman, one part, the singular part, masculine. Turning towards the
sunrise, I closed my eyes, and drank in the feeling on being male, drank
in the muscular control over my most intimate parts. By the Mater I would
miss that feeling, yet I was never more certain that this was the right
path for me.
"I just have to allow the artifact into my sphere, to access my core
genetics, and it will do the rest. Will you stay with me throughout?"
A more delicate smile played across her lips this time, and she nodded.
"Yes, for as long as it takes."
I struggled for words to convey my gratitude, and humbly said,
"Thank you."
She giggled, coyly wrapping a strand of purple around her finger.
"Jenika, I don't know if you see this in yourself, but you are the most
beguiling person I have met in such a long time. All hyperbole aside, the
last three months spent with you have been a real... how do you put it?
Blessing. I am so grateful to have spent this time with you. Hopefully
we've learnt things from each other."
Now I felt bashful. Those feelings were reciprocated many times over.
"I agree, the Mater has blessed me with much bounty since you all gave me
sanctuary aboard, and this has been one of the happiest times of my life."
Lynthia placed another kiss on my lips, a sweet delicate thing of
tenderness and affection.
"If you don't mind me asking, what name have you chosen for your new self?
I remember you mentioning you have to take on a name in veneration of the
Mater, or something like that."
Many names had passed through my mind, but it was only in the last week
that I had actually settled on my chosen name.
"Azure-Magna Eratrix, after the Mater of the Sea, and the Mother Superior
who brought me back from the brink of self destruction."
"It has a nice ring to it, Azure is rather charming."
Taking my hand, Lynthia spun me in a gentle pirouette, taking in my
current form one last time. Shaking her head with a sad smile, she let me
go, and with one final activation command I allowed the artefact complete
access to my body, and thus my adoration was complete.
* * *
In the afterglow of our final sacramental act, I cherished every moment
spent wrapped up in Lynthia's arms. The priests would call me a heretic,
iconoclast even, for allowing a woman to take the sacrament of my
virginity, yet becoming Azure had not lessened my knowledge that I only
desire women. Maybe it was the thought of having to allow a priest to
deflower me that had cause me to run, but somehow it felt wrong to allow
the masculine to pollute this new form of mine. I was very grateful indeed
that the artefact had not meddled with my urges, though I was not a
hundred percent sure that with the inner workings now in their rightful
order my body chemistry would yearn to be with the masculine. Those
concerns were for the morrow, as the deep down peace I now felt at finally
having reached the enlightenment of becoming totally Her's was like no
other drug I had ever experienced.
Casting a delicate glow over Lynthia's slumbering beauty, the risen sun
bathed us in the new day's light, in my heart this was the Mater's
blessing for her union with me in all my forms. Newly formed nerve endings
gently tingled with the sensations brought on by the blessed rapture
Lynthia has administered, the nine tenths now a complete whole in every
sense. I knew for now the music was sublime and easy, yet in how ever many
days time I soon face the very dissonant symphony of the rest of society.
What awaited me was the furry of my former order, the theatrics and
pageantry of the shaming my patents would put me through, and the probably
frustration of rejection after rejection from Corporate sponsors. Let that
wait, for today I was born anew, Azure of the lapping sea, sacrifice to
the Mater, and whatever the morrow may hold, that would never be taken
from me.
