Kelly stopped and looked in a plate glass window at herself. She did look

going to be all right. "We'll save that dinner for another day. I can
only imagine how it would go. What I want to know is how come a birth
control pill knocks you on your ass. If that were true for every girl who
takes one, half of America would be high."
Kelly smiled and nodded. "It is incredible. I guess it's all about my
system compared to yours. I've got nothing in my bloodstream, no
estrogen, no testosterone. And for the past six months, I'm guessing my
body has gotten hooked on a low dose of estrogen. I know it calmed me
down and made me feel good. But, the pill you gave me was a lot stronger
and the second pill sent me to the moon and back."

Shawn grinned. "We were just hanging out. I'm Shawn and this is Ron.
We're seniors at Central Charter."
Mindy looked at Kelly. She turned and smiled. "We're starting our junior
year next month. Do you guys want to walk with us while we finish our
shopping?"
Kelly watched the boys fall in between them as they strolled the mall.
Shawn was cute. He was tall and blonde and cut with muscles. Suddenly,
she was struck with a case of the shyness. She smiled up at him. He was
really tall. "I'm Kelly."
The other boy, Ron, was already talking up a storm with Mindy. Mindy's
promise of not being separated had already evaporated. She watched as
they strolled away to a kiosk. Kelly knew she was on her own. She smiled
at Shawn. "Do you play sports?"
She half listened as Shawn talked about getting excited about summer
preparation for football. He was a receiver and played defense, too. As
he talked, she looked at him closely. He was really handsome. Kelly
wondered what it would be like to have him kiss her.
She smiled and realized that she hadn't heard a word he'd just said. Her

movie. Maybe we can double date with them." He motioned to MIndy and
Ron, who were trying on sunglasses at a kiosk.
Kelly looked across at MIndy trying to make eye contact. But, she only
had eyes for Ron. She watched them laughing and being silly. Mindy
touched Ron's arm and gave it a squeeze. Kelly wished she could do that
to Shawn.
"Maybe. I'll have to talk to my mom and all. It doesn't look like MIndy
would say no to Ron."
"Yeah, Ron moves pretty fast."
In the meantime, they both watched Ron putting glasses on Mindy's face.
They watched him brush her hair out of the way to adjust the frames.
When Mindy turned to look in the mirror, Ron put his arms around her waist
and looked over her shoulder at the mirror, too.
Kelly watched in amazement. "He certainly has the moves."
Shawn laughed. "You should see him throw the football. It's all in the
hands."
Kelly turned back to Shawn. He was still watching Ron and Mindy. She
reached over and took one of his hands in hers. "You've got pretty big
mitts, yourself." she squeezed hard to keep her hands from shaking.
Suddenly, Kelly realized she had just grabbed a boy's and was squeezing
it. As she felt the heat roll through her body, she knew she liked it.
Shawn grinned and blushed as the beautiful girl pulled him closer while
she still held his hand. He was a little overwhelmed at how cute she was.
"Uh, yeah. Well, yeah, I guess I do."
Kelly smiled watching him turn red and get shy. She was causing all his
embarrassment. It was strange to think she had this effect on him. Did
he really think she was that attractive? Wow, she thought. I am
powerful. "Well, let's go see what Mindy has to say."
Still holding his hand, Kelly led Shawn over to the sunglass kiosk. As
they got closer, she grabbed his forearm. She could feel his muscles.
They felt like iron. She looked sideways at his body. He was enormous
compared to her. She had this strange desire to stand on her tiptoes, put

"Hey." Kelly was still hanging on Shawn's arm with two hands. She
realized that she was still a bit head crazy. She let him go. Turning,
she saw he was still waiting, kinda like a big puppy. Reaching up, she
placed one hand on his chest. 'God, his muscles had muscles'. "Shawn
wants to know if you want to double date on Friday night."
Kelly smiled at Shawn. I own him right now, she mused. She winked at him
and watched him blush. This huge senior with all the muscles only had

Mindy was still giggling. She looked over at Kelly who seemed to be doing
just fine with the blonde. Ron was a riot, but couldn't keep his hands
off her. She pushed his hands off her waist before he could grab her
butt. "Hmm. I don't know." She smiled and looked at Ron, then Kelly.
"Think we can do better than these too?"
Everyone laughed.
As the four of them walked towards the south entrance of the mall to meet
Tiffany, Ron and Mindy exchanged numbers. They talked about Friday night
and meeting at the mall for a movie, then a soda. When they went outside,
they spotted Tiffany sitting in her car waiting by the curb. She gave
them a beep and a wave.
Kelly gave a wave then turned back to Shawn. She put both hands on his
chest and stood on tiptoes. She gave him a kiss on the cheek. She
watched him blush. "See you Friday."
After they were driving out of the parking lot, Mindy turned and laughed
at Brian in the back seat. "Oh my gosh! I've created a monster!"
Kelly giggled in the back seat. "I have no idea what you're talking
about. We were just chatting."
Mindy laughed. "I saw the way you grabbed his hand and then his arm.
Girl, you had him wrapped around your finger in a few seconds. You have
the power!"
Kelly smiled. "I learn from the best. Ron couldn't keep his hands off of
