adventure. This spin off, is the result of some very good questions
asked by a few of you, and we want to let you know how things are going
back home.

Dotty and David sat quietly in the separate interview rooms waiting for
the interrogations to begin. They'd seen others they knew as well as
ones they didn't know, when they were being brought in.
That had been six hours ago, and still no one had talked to them.
Standing up Dotty snapped her fingers to get someone's attention she
hoped before she made her request. "I hope you haven't forgotten that
we have basic human rights. Because if I don't One, get someone to take
me to a potty I'm going to piss in the corner. And Two, I am both
hungry as well as thirsty. And Three, I demand to see my Attorney since
no one has informed me of why I am being held here. I'll give you five
minutes." She paced to stand in front of the door.
A moment later she heard the click of the electronic lock just before
the door opened.
"Mrs Vandine, My name is Sabrina. I am quite sorry that these gentlemen
seem to have forgotten about you. If you would follow me I'll show you
to the restroom." The woman turned and started for the hallway. On the
way she saw what lay on two of the tables and recognized them as Darla
and Mai Ling's purses, or rather, what was left of them? Her own lay on
another table along with David's wallet, which had been dismantled. All
of the contents of the purses and wallets were laying out in neat
order. What she didn't see were their cell phones.
"Excuse me, I hope someone plans to replace those," she said of the
purses. "Those are not some cheap knockoff dime store imitations."
"Oh you'll get them back as soon as we're done with them." the woman
Sabrina opened a door and motioned her inside. As she passed her Dotty
felt something pressed into her hand. She almost glanced up in startled
surprise.
"Thank you, it's been six hours," she said. Inside the stall she
noticed there was no water in the toilet or a flush handle.
Sitting on the toilet with no door on the stall, she saw that Sabrina
stood in front of it waiting. "Sorry it's not my idea, just
procedures." She made a motion with her hand that Dotty should read the
note.
"I am a friend of Maddie Greys, we'll get you all out of here as
quickly as possible. This is written on protein rich paper that will
dissolve on contact with your saliva. Sorry about all of this.
Sabrina."
"So, how much longer until we're out of here?" she asked as she put the
note in her mouth and swallowed it as it dissolved.
"That depends on how cooperative you are with the questions, but it
shouldn't be long."
Dotty finished and wiped before straightening her clothes. "Just look
at my hair, it's a mess. And are my Sister wives and our daughters Ok?"
"Yes everyone is fine. Probably finishing up their interviews as we
speak," answered the woman.
She'd barely returned to the room before two more people entered.
"Mrs Vandine, I'm Agent Black, and this is Agent," he began.
"Let me guess, White?" She grinned sarcastically.
"Yes," was the short yet curt answer.
"Where is my Lawyer, Mr Pierce?"
"Detained at the moment. Now shall we continue?" said Agent Black.
'Dotty, please don't worry, we are fine,' came Mai Ling's voice in her
head. 'The protein's in the note you were given has allowed us to
access your telepathic level. Sabrina is a friend, as well as a real
Agent. Don't worry about having a Lawyer unless they read you your
rights, which they won't, this is not that type of investigation.'
"How long have you been working with the Alien's?" asked White.
"Alien's, really? Have you been watching Men in Black or something?"
was her answer.
"I assure you ma'am this is no laughing matter," said Agent White. "Now
how long have you been using Alien technology?"
"Oh this is about my new phone. Did Samsung steal the design from
Motorola or Apple? Is that it?"
"No Ma'am this is not about your phone. We need to know if you know how
to activate the Wormhole Devices in the New Mexico desert."
"Worm Holes, is that what the government is working on at Area 51? Like
the Star Gate series? I really like that show, it would be so nice to
meet friendly Aliens. I bet they'd not interrogate people like this."
Mr Black touched his left ear a moment. "Ok, so you have no knowledge
of why all those people just suddenly disappeared from the school? Did
Mrs Clara Heart tell you why she was turning it over to you and your
daughters?"
"Miss Clara suffers from Alzheimer's. She and her husband have gone to
seek experimental treatments outside the US. More than that I do not
know." She answered.
"Are you aware that, Clara as you know her is really from another
planet?" asked White.
"Uhhh, Mr Black, has your partner been sampling the drugs coming across
the border or something?" she asked the other agent and was rewarded
with a snicker from Sabrina.

In another room Mai Ling was answering similar questions with more of
her own.
"Why have you tried to hide your true identity from everyone?"
"Excuse me, what kind of question is that? This is my true identity."
"No Sir, it is not. You are a Male born in Thailand, who has taken
Hormones to alter his body." said the Agent who had also introduced
himself as Agent White.
The other Agent Black interrupted them by placing a large box on top of
the table. "What does this contain? We've tried to open it. And even X-
rayed it. But we cannot see its contents."
"If you've damaged my needles you will be in huge trouble," Mai Ling
exploded followed by a torrent of profanity.
"Needles? Oh so you are a drug addict? What drugs are you using?" Black
made a motion with his hand and several other agents entered the room.
"All her drug screens come back negative," said one then looked at her.
"What kind of needles are in the case Sweetheart?"
"Acupuncture needles. One thousand fourteen of them to be exact," she
answered. "And three hundred cubes of Sandal Wood Incense."
"Would you be willing to show us?" asked the woman nicely.
"Yes, but please do not touch them they are sterile. That is why they
are in the sealed case."
"Very well, go ahead please," said the woman.
With practiced ease Mai Ling began sliding the individual portions of
the outer box, working the lock until finally the lid clicked open.
"How did she do that?" asked Black.
"Never mind, the cameras caught everything," said White before
deliberately reaching in and removing one of the long thin needles.
"I said not to touch them," he ignored her as he bent the needle
between his fingers. He didn't see the silent, cold rage behind her
perfect smile.
"Oops, looks like that one is damaged. I've never seen needles this
thin before."
"White, Black, Get out of the room now," ordered a new arrival with a
British accent. "And leave the needle behind." "Ms Vandine, I am most
sorry for the way my, Colleagues have been behaving. Please forgive
them, they do not know how much such needles cost. We will of course
pay to replace that."
"Thank you, but the only place to get them is Thailand."
"What?" asked Black.
"In her native country, Ms Vandine here holds the title of Doctor. And
I assure you it is not for Academic purposes." He told the two men
before turning to the woman. "Claudine, you may assist Ms Vandine in
collecting her things and see to it that she is released right away."
"With pleasure Sir," was the answer.

"Darla Vandine, or should I say Mrs Lucky John?" stated yet another Mr
White. "Yes we know everything about you. Perhaps your Ex-husband would
like to know where his child is."
"And perhaps you would like for me to cut your pencil dick off and
shove it up your ass. You touch one hair on my daughters head, or if he
finds out where she is, there is no place on this planet that you can
hide from me," she said with the full weight of a mother's conviction.
Of the four adults, she was the only one physically restrained. She'd
been sitting motionless in the chair for over six hours and only
slumped casually against the back.
"And what makes you think you could do anything?" countered Black.
She felt it as the rest of the observers crowded into the tiny room
recording the session. With an almost practiced ease she leaned forward
smiling. "This does," her hands shot out, the right snapping the cuff
around Blacks left wrist, as the left pulled Whites over to fasten the
other end to his right. Both agents knew that they were in trouble now,
their firing hands were now immobilized and her grin told them she knew
it. "I am not a violent person, but even the most docile animal can
become a killer when her children are threatened." She leaned back in
the chair and rested her feet on the table top.
In the other room the crowd stood motionless in disbelief.
"Now you are going to take me to my daughter, or I'll have to get
Angry. And you don't want to see me get Angry!" she warned.
"Holy shit, her Brain Wave levels just spiked off the charts," the
technician monitoring that equipment announced.
"So Mr Black, or should I say Clarence Bookerman, how soon before
someone lets me see my daughter?" she looked straight at the
bulletproof mirrored wall. "Your Agents aren't following protocol, let
me see my daughter before they get hurt."
"What do you mean?" came a voice over the intercom.
"They entered this room carrying their side arms. Which neither one can
reach now, before I could. Look all I want is to see my daughter and
know she's safe."
Charlene was soon led into the room. "Mommy!" She rushed to her mother.
"Are you ok, Sweetie? Did they hurt you in any way?"
"No Mommy, I was just scared. They told me you were bad and they wanted
to know about everyone."
"It's ok, we're going to get Mommy Dotty and Mai Ling, and Daddy David
and leave now." She stood up holding the girls hand. Looking right at
the Director of the intelligence agency she said, "Isn't that right
Cardinal?"
Not waiting for an answer she walked out to find the others already
there.

In a building run by yet another agency a very different interview was
being conducted.
"Miss Owens, please just answer the questions."
"I already told you I know nothing about Aliens or conspiracies or what
not. I run a respectable Ballet theater, nothing else."
"Are you aware that a large group of persons have gone missing from the
Academy? Or that one of its neighbors has gone missing along with the
young girls she was looking after?"
"I already told you, I know nothing about that."
"Your adopted Daughter was wearing a Kitten collar. We had to cut it to
get it off of her."
Sarah was out of the chair in an instant. "You cut off her collar? How
dare you destroy something of hers? Did she tell you she wanted it
off?"
"Well no, but she can't wear it in the Foster home," he never got the
chance to finish his statement before finding himself pinned to the
wall.
"Sarah, Violet is fine. They didn't hurt her, and we are ending this
farce of an investigation now," said her former classmate who had just
entered the room. "John you just don't get how thin the ice is under
your feet here, do you?"
"What are you saying Dee? You're just going to let her walk out of
here?"
"John, I was her roommate at that Academy. I wore one of those collars
myself. It isn't what you or anyone in the bureau think it is. And if
you ever remove another kitten's collar I'll personally gut you like a
fish. My Momma took me in when the rest of society had tossed me aside.
Sent me to a foster home where I was molested and no one cared. Not
until Mamie Tyler took me in and taught me the true meaning of being
loved." She slowly took her old collar out of her purse.
"Sarah, this has the same lock, put her tags on it," she said taking
off the ones that she'd worn during her time as a Kitten.
"John, you really fucked up here, this isn't over with yet." said Dee
Tyler-Shields, the Assistant Director of the Bureau. "You're just lucky
I got here when I did. Now you are going to go apologize to my Momma
for your actions."
"Your Momma?"
"Yes, my Maiden name in case you've never thought about it is Tyler. So
if you have any of your stupid conspiracy questions you can just ask me
first. And before you ask, Yes Erika and Marissa are my adopted nieces,
their Momma Miss Gina is my sister."
"I, I didn't know you were part of 'That Family'."
"Careful how you say, 'That Family'. We are one of the oldest and most
respected families in these parts. And yes, even the governor calls my
Momma, Ma'am with utmost respect."
"Do you have any idea how this is going to look? Us just letting them
go like this?"
"Dee, thank you," Sarah told her as she led Violet back down the hall.
"You're welcome," she answered.
"Thank you Aunt Dee," said Violet.
Dee dropped to one knee. "You're most welcome Sweetheart. I hope to see
you dance next week. Trinity says you're the best in her class, and I
always go to all of my Grandkittens recitals."

The evening crowd at the Brightfeather's Diner had dwindled down to
just a slow crawl, few customers remained. Now the five NSA Agents
decided to start playing for information.
"How may I help you now?" asked Fast Runner, she'd been informed of who
they were by the off going waitress as well as the owners.
"I'll have a black coffee, and a piece of peach cobbler," said the
first one in the booth.
"I'll have the same," answered the second. "And the name of someone who
can tell me how to reach Ute Trucking LLC."
"Anyone else?"
The rest just ordered Coffee.
When she returned she was carrying a tray. The five coffees and the
Cobblers were in To-Go packaging.
"What's this?" asked one.
"Your orders. You are no longer welcome here," she told them.
"We will leave when we are ready to leave," said the youngest one at
the table, just a bit too loudly. He wanted to be sure everyone heard
it, after all they were Government Agents.
"Suit yourselves," Fast Runner spun her little skirt flying up in the
back as she turned to leave. The hand that grabbed her bottom caused
her to stop instantly. Then another gripped her wrist and pulled her
back to the table.
"Let me go," she said.
"Just as soon as you give us what we want," she was told.
Kicking out, her foot caught the edge of the serving tray. Its contents
scattering over the three on the far side as the two closet stood to
restrain her.
Silence fell over the diner in an instant, broken only by the audible
clicks of hammers being cocked.
"I suggest you let my waitress go," said Jimmie Brightfeather. "Before
you get hurt a lot worse."
They let her go as they pulled out their badges. "We are Agents of the
NSA, investigating the disappearances of,"
"Shut the fuck up Paleface. You are within the Ute Reservation,
accosting a Ute girl. Your badges and authority mean nothing here."
someone growled at them.
"We are NSA Agents Damnit, you will all cooperate with this
investigation."
The flashing lights on top of the cars outside gave them false hope as
both reservation police and state Police began showing up in response
to the silent alarm pressed by Patty Brightfeather.
"Now you'll see how little your tribal policies mean."
"Jimmie, what do we have here?" asked a state trooper.
"They are interfering with our investigation," began the senior agent.
A State police Captain stepped forward, "Agent Denton, how nice to see
you here. Please place your weapons on the table,"
"What?"
"I said place all your weapons on the table. You aren't in the United
States anymore. This is the territory of the Ute Nation," he smiled.
"Their laws are a bit different, and they don't recognize your
authority, so if you continue to resist then I will be forced to assist
them."
"You can't be serious, this is fucking nuts." He lay his revolver down
on the table. Slowly the others did the same.
"Fast Runner, how old are you?"
"I'm thirteen."
"Then child molesting doesn't apply as you are of legal age by tribal
law." The agents let out a sigh of relief. "Do you wish to press
assault charges?" he winked at her.
"Yes, they grabbed my ass, and then grabbed Me." she said.
"Gentlemen, you are under arrest for sexual assault. Seeing as you are
all together, you are all being charged since none of you attempted to
aid Miss Fast Runner," stated Harry Brightmoon the Ute reservation
police chief.
"You just wait till our superiors hear about this," said the youngest
one.
"Oh pray tell me, what is going to happen then?" asked Harry. "And how
are they going to hear it? You see you are not afforded the privilege
of a phone call."
They spotted someone near the entrance standing in the shadows, the
hilts of two swords jutting out above his shoulders. "Have you guys
ever met a Government Alpha before?" asked Denton believing he had a
rescuer.
"We have met many Alpha's, but none loyal to your Government," said
Harry.
The Alpha stepped slowly into the light, two more stepping out behind
him, as a Semi pulled slowly into the lot.
"Jimmie." He gripped forearms with the truck stops owner.
"Tribe, thank you for being here."
"Are you sure you don't want us to take them away?" asked the woman
Alpha behind him.
"No Molly, the tribe can deal with their kind. We're more concerned
about Abe and Ramona not showing up, they were asking about them too."
said Jimmie.
"They have joined the Spirit Journey, would you care to visit with
them?"
As the agents were escorted outside they saw the ramp open up in the
back of the Semi. It was just like the ones they'd read about in the
report. Then they spotted Dandridge, as he was escorted up the ramp by
two more Alpha's.
"He was sitting across the road, so we'll deal with him," they heard
the owner and his wife being told.
A few moments later an Alpha approached the police cruiser. "Excuse me,
Tribe would like to talk with these men aboard 'Diamond' before you
haul them away."
They were led in cuffs past the old muscle cars, to the communications
section which was unlike anything they'd ever seen before.
"Listen Harper, you and your men are on your own. The US Government
will not violate the Sanctity of the Indian Nations. I do not care who
gave you those orders, you are on your own." Stated the voice of the
presidents NSA Advisor.
"Mom, Daddy." They saw the video communication going on.
"Paula, how are you and our granddaughter doing?"
"We're fine Daddy. Actually I have some great news. Marline has taken a
sister wife." The oldest of the Brightfeather girls motioned for
someone off camera. Then one of the twins, Marline was there with a
Tiger Furry.
"Momma, Daddy this is Leola. Leola these are our Momma and our first
Daddy. You'll meet the others later tonight." A partition was pulled
across and suddenly there was silence.
"Who are you people?"
"We are the Free Alpha Alliance. We just wanted you to see that no one
is going to lift a finger to help you."
"They'll blow this truck off the road, and you with it," bragged the
younger Agent.
"Oh I rather doubt that," stated the voice from the truck console.
"You see they avoid contact with me and my kind."
"You're kind."
"Yes, superior intelligence, and defensive shielding. They've tried in
the past. It never worked." They were dismissed to be taken back out to
the Reservation for trial.

"Frank, you listening in?" called the dispatcher at the Wyoming State
Police Headquarters.
"Yeah, I'm here Wanda. What you got for me?" answered Frank Collins.
"The Governor wants a word with you as soon as you can get here," she
said.
"You realize the Feds have an arrest warrant out for me, right?"
"Yeah well funny thing about that, the State Senate just denied all
Federal Jurisdiction. They're putting the Guards on the state borders
running checkpoints for government Agents. We need you here to handle
the talks with the Native Tribes."
"How big is this?" he asked.
"Montana, the Dakota's, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona so
far. But Oklahoma is fighting for their rights as a state, and may join
us by the end of the week." answered another voice he recognized. "Get
your ass in here Trooper, the Seven Nations have asked for you by
name."
"I'm on my way Governor," he answered.
"Frank? How bad is it out there?" asked Gladys.
"I'll let you know. Hatch, keep em' safe," he said as he headed out the
door to his cruiser.
He was getting ready to pull out when three huge Semi's pulled into the
Station. Two with regular cargo trailers, the third pulling a fuel
tanker. Sitting across the highway sat three of the sleek black Ford
Escape SUV's and six old Muscle cars. Spotting him one of the cars
pulled out from the others and pulled up beside him.
"Frank Collins?" the driver and only occupant asked.
"Yes, that's me," he answered unsure of what was about to happen. But
he wasn't afraid, he had known about this group for some time, his
friend Marshal Wolf had introduced him to one who had helped him with a
case in the past.
"This is for you." He handed over what looked like a laptop power
converter for a vehicle. "If you want to stay in contact with us while
we escort you to the capital swap out your cords before you get on the
highway."
"Is this what I think it is?"
"Yes, it will work faster on your car since it is electronically
controlled. You should be at full capacity by the time we hit
Sheridan." He looked at the speaker. "You should wear your claws on the
outside now, Warrior." The Alpha reached across to grip his forearm as
only warriors did. True Frank was only about an Eighth Cherokee, but he
was accepted and had even gone through Warrior training one summer with
several of his Native American friends during high school.
Plugging the new cable into the cars system first he felt the RPMs rev
a bit then smooth out. Then as he plugged it into the laptop on the
center swivel of his new Dodge Challenger, he watched the screen as it
began rapidly running a self-diagnostic. "Ok Baby, I hope that did
whatever it was supposed to do," he commented as he shifted into second
preparing to hit the road.
"Oh thank you, I was wondering when you were going to give me a name,"
said an almost human sounding electronic voice.
"You can talk? I mean wow!"
"Yes now may we get started? I will guide you through my systems as we
go, and keep you updated on what is happening." Said his new cruiser,
'Baby'.
He expected to feel the acceleration pushing him back into his seat as
he watched the speedometer climbing to two hundred miles per hour. But
it didn't feel any different than doing sixty, and the car never felt
as if it was going airborne as he cruised through the dips.
"Are you ready to begin learning my many new capabilities?"
"Uhh yes please," he answered.
"I now have gravity and traction stability, enhanced traffic avoidance
and detection, full defensive shielding, and EMP Shielding. If you
touch the windshield I can give you a Heads Up Display of all pertinent
information as well satellite imagery of a specified location." The
computer had flashed each indicator as it was mentioned.
"How long before we reach Casper?" he asked.
"At our current velocity, we should be there in approximately fifteen
minutes. Is that soon enough, or should we increase speed?"
"What about fuel? We'll have to fill up before we get there."
"I now have a fuel range of Six thousand miles, and all the Reservation
Truck stops are being equipped with special fuel tanks to service the
new Vehicle configurations."
"So what's this big meeting about?" Frank asked Baby.
"Mostly it is about coordinating with the other States police forces,
since you are being named the new Commander of the State Patrol. But
also they wish to coordinate with the Free Alpha's for clearing the
Highways."
"They don't have blower plows," Frank pointed out.
"No but once their trucks lock into a regular plow it can be
converted."
"Why not the states regular plows?"
"This is technology that we do not wish to have abused. Other state
drivers are not as trustworthy, they would be too tempted to share it
for profit. Once a vehicle is converted it will do as it is asked by
its primary driver. Which is another reason why only certain State
patrols are being given this opportunity as well."
"But not the states Guard and reserve units?"
"You are correct, this is not a technology we wish to be used to create
war." Answered Baby.
"A wise decision, and I am happy the Governor is supporting it," he
stated.
As he was about to get out at the Headquarters he was informed by Baby,
"Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas have now joined us."
"What about the public, the independent citizens?" he was trying to
think of why Missouri would join, they didn't have any Reservations
that he knew of.
"They have agreed to go along as long as they keep their current
possessions. Houses, jobs, cars, farms."
"Baby, why Missouri?"
"That is where the three Academies are located, as well as the FAA's
Central command near the Arkansas border," Baby informed him.
The Governor and several others he recognized as tribal chiefs, and
other governors stood in the underground parking garage waiting.
Pulling on the leather thong around his neck he brought both his claws
and medicine bag out into full view before stepping out of the vehicle.
"Frank." The governor gripped his forearm in warrior fashion. "Welcome
to the Brave New World."
