I spent the next hour practicing walking in my high heels with a purse
on my shoulder. I was getting better at it and even started trying to

me! I blushed at the thought, even though I was alone, and then sat down

forever. Especially doing my eyes. But I did notice that my hands no
longer shook with nervousness as I worked with the little makeup brushes

wish - it was important to look my best for guys and so I put on cute

Having spent an hour walking and an hour on my makeup, I began on
Alyssa's assignment about the magazines. I looked through a stack that
my cousin kept by her bedside. There were so many! I scanned the titles:
American Girl, Cosmo Girl, Girls" World, Total Girl, Omgirls, and Girl
Talk were just a few of the ones I found. I laid on Hannah's bed on my
belly with my heels crossed and in the air behind me and flipped through
them, completely fascinated by the articles and pictures. It felt like I
was being shown the secret life of real girls while reading through the
glossy pages. This was so much fun! I read so many articles on so many
topics. One featured a piece on "flirty summer looks sure to turn
heads." Another was "What he tells his friends after you hook up." There
were tons of articles with makeup and beauty tips like "50 ways to get
sexy hair" and "14 of the cutest nail polish designs to get his
attention." I found myself totally absorbed. I giggled as I read a piece
called "secret crush signs" and found myself twirling my hair as I read
"flirting 101." I had to focus though. I was running out of time and
soon would have to wash off my makeup and put my boring boy clothes back
on (except my panties) before my parents got back home. I needed to get
busy if I was to complete Alyssa's assignment in time for me to turn it
in to her the next day. For my summary assignment I chose an article
from Girls" World magazine called "39 slumber party ideas to help you
throw the best sleepover ever." I did my best to capture the essence of
the article in my essay. Alyssa wanted a summary so I did my best to
include all of the most important details and ideas about throwing a
fabulous slumber party. The kind that any girl would love to attend.
Some of the ideas were: building a princess castle/fort for your guests,
teaching guests to make their own flavored lipgloss, setting up a mini
spa, personalizing cute pillow cases for each girl attending your
slumber party, supplying all your guests with matching pajamas, and
playing games such as "musical manicures." The rest of the article
listed assorted slumber party themes sure to make you the envy of every
other girl. My favorite was the "Barbie doll party" theme but there were
many other suggested themes such as: makeup counter, hair salon,
ballerina party, princess party, and "clothes model fashionista" party.
As I wrote my summary of the article, my mind drifted and I found myself
smiling as I imagined myself hosting my very own sleepover with a dozen
other girls; the excitement of greeting each of my friends at the door
in my adorable pajamas, the thrill of whispering secrets in each other's
ears, playing truth or dare, and giggling over confessions about crushes
on boys as we each lay in our sleeping bags with the lights out.
The final part of my assignment from Alyssa was to complete at least one
of the many fun quizzes that Hannah's magazines regularly featured. It
was really hard to choose. I wanted to do all the quizzes so bad! Like
the one called "which Disney princess are you?" and "What is your
fashion style?" and "find out if he thinks you're pretty." I had to
pick one though and finally settled on "which summer fashion accessory
fits you." These were the questions and my answers:
Where will we find you this summer? Having a picnic with your bff's.
Your fashion icon is? Selena Gomez.
Which fashion element is most important to you? Color.
How do you get your accessories? By shopping.
How would you describe your style? Flirty
You get fashion inspiration from? Magazines like Girls" World.
Your favorite color is? Pink.
Once I answered all of the questions, I went to the bottom to see the
results. It said "the summer accessory that fits you best is a bright
pink bracelet. You like to express your style with lots of cute colors.
A simple accessory like an adorable pink bracelet with dangly charms
(think ballerinas, princesses, tiaras, and miniature purses) can make
your pretty outfits more exciting and make you feel all the more summery
when you are hanging out with the other girls in the warm months to
come."
That night after I locked my door, I took off my boring jeans and t-
shirt and I studied myself in the mirror. All I had on was the white
Hello Kitty panties with the pink trim. I turned this way and that in
the mirror and struck various poses. I put my hands high on my hips, I
turned half way and jutted my butt out like a total flirt, I fluffed my
hair, and I blew little kisses at myself and giggled. And then I picked
up the nightie. I caressed the soft nylon material with my fingertips
and brushed it lightly against my face. I held it out and looked at it.
The main part of it featured a white background with a picture of
Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast on the front. She was wearing a
cute yellow gown and her long brown hair flowed past her shoulders as
she rode atop a brown horse. The horse was surrounded by a mass of
pretty pink and purple flowers. The flower theme was repeated all along
the ruffled hem of the nightgown and also on the puffy little sleeves. A
small pink bow accented the middle of the neck on the front and
perfectly matched the flowers. My first nightie! I put it on over my
head and gently smoothed it down over my trembling body. It was so soft
and light and felt heavenly against my body as I stood and faced the
mirror again and modeled it for an imaginary audience of cute boys. With
every new item that Alyssa introduced me to, I felt more and more like a
real girl - in body and mind. My body felt smooth and pretty and my mind
fixated increasingly on being cute for boys. That night I slept so well.
And waking up? That was heavenly too. Yawning and stretching and then
looking down and seeing my pretty nightie with the hem slightly pulled
up revealing a view of my little panties made me shiver all over with
excitement and contentment. And then I realized that it was my birthday.
I had completely forgotten. I was 14 at last!
Later in the morning I got back in touch with Alyssa in the chatroom. My
heartbeat always increased when I saw her name in the list of people in
the chat. She was becoming the center of my life. I didn't know what I
would ever do if she wasn't there to teach me about being a pretty girl
and encouraging me to keep practicing:
"Good morning Megan!! Did you sleep well in your pretty nightie? Did you

"Thank you, Miss Alyssa. I picked out my bra and panties for today like
you said. Oh, and today is my bday btw."

teased.

I didn't know what to type back. Just talking about telling Hannah what

mesmerized me. Alyssa had twinkling, mischievous green eyes under wryly
arched eyebrows and a cute little upturned nose. Her skin glowed with
good health. Her mouth shined with glistening lipgloss. And then it
dawned on me that she could see me too. Standing in the little panties

shame. But she just clapped her hands in glee and told me how cute I

What followed was another practice session - this time under her

around her I guess idk. Tonight I will think of something to give my

I was scared to say anything but I had to. Some part of me was
struggling. Struggling with the idea of writing stuff about what kind of
boys I would like. I was beginning to feel very confused. This was
becoming too real. I stammered at first and couldn't get the words out
as I faced her on the cam. Her eyes seemed to bore right through me. She
seemed to know things about me that even I didn't know somehow and she
broke into an amused smile as I finally got the words out:
"Umm Miss Alyssa maam. Umm I'm not sure what to write about boys. Umm I
don't know if I like guys better than girls. I...umm..."
"Aww Megan. It's okay princess. It's normal for you to be confused about
this. But let's think about this okay? First of all, you aren't a
regular boy, are you? No, not at all. Most guys don't like wearing
panties and makeup. They like to wear jeans and all they think about is
hooking up with hot chicks from school. You on the other hand, read
articles in girl's magazines about how to flirt with boys. You practice
walking in high heels with a purse on your shoulder. You wear eyeshadow

Make sure you keep your pretty clothes on and then put on your perfume.
Put on lots. Let the scent take you over and close your eyes and imagine
a guy touching you and making you feel pretty. Then think about all the
boys you have known and seen. Then start writing Megan. Describe what
makes a boy hot to you and how you would want him to treat you. Make
Miss Alyssa proud of her cute little girl and she will give you a
