I looked over at Jane Mize with nervous anticipation while I sat at my

Apparently the local antique shop went out of business, and so it was
having a closing sale. My dad gave me a few of the books, thinking that
I would be interested in them. They all had weird names, like "Ogmha
Alchemus" and "Secrets of a Djinn." I guess my dad thought they were
old fantasy books. Anyways, I started browsing these books, with none
of them making any sense, until I opened up one called "The Tome of
Morgana." The book claimed to be a spell tome, listing all of the
spells supposedly crafted by Morgana La Fey, who is the witch in the
King Arthur legend. I didn't believe this at first, so I absentmindedly
read the first spell aloud. Words cannot describe how shocked I was
when I grew five feet in almost an instant (thank god I was sitting
down). I was able to reverse the spell by reading it again.
Once I had realized that the spell book worked real magic, I started to
read (in my head, of course) through it quite seriously. There were
spells for just about anything, such as turning copper into gold,
teleporting, immortality, and so on. Just reading through all of those
spells made me realize the power of the tome. Though I could've turned
myself into some sort of rich, superpowered god, I decided not to,
because I don't see myself as an ambitious or power-hungry person, it's
just not in my temperament. I did have other desires, though, with Jane
Mize being chief among them. Flipping through the spell book, I was
able to find two spells that would fulfill the greatest of my fantasies.
The first spell was called "The Charm of Complete Infatuation." The
description said that "the target of this spell shall become completely
romantically infatuated with the caster of this spell, with the
infatuation lasting indefinitely as long as the caster is of the
opposite sex of the target." The second spell was called "The Blessing
of Feminine Beauty." The description said that "the target of this
spell shall become endowed with a body blessed by Venus herself." These
spells were simple. The first would make Jane fall in love with me,
while the second would make her even more beautiful.
After deciding on the two spells, I transcribed them onto a sheet of
paper that I could take into class. I knew how valuable the tome was,
so I wasn't going to risk letting it leave my bedroom. Before I put it
away, however, I did notice a warning on the last page. It said that
"uttering a spell without use of the tome may result in unintended
effects." Without I much thought, I shrugged off the warning. I can't
see how any unintended can happen with a love and beauty spell.
"Christopher Hart, care to stop staring off into space?" Mrs. Jenkins
asked, with a few chuckles following this.
"Uhh, yeah," I replied, "sorry."
With that said, we're back to the present. I stare at Jane one last
time before I read the spell. Her form, her figure...she is just so
beautiful, so worth it. I've seen a lot of TV shows and movies that say
love spells are wrong, but damn it, I don't give a shit. I've been
wanting Jane for years, is only a matter of time before she started
wanting me. With that, I began to silently read the spell from the
crumpled up piece of paper on my desk.

Back to the ladies though...is this a good thing? I mean, having all of
these chicks attracted to me is nice, but having them all of compete for
me would be...brutal. Why are they all attracted to me anyway? Why not
just Jane? Did I say the spell wrong? When I get home, I'm going to
have to check the tome and see what I did wrong. Sooner or later, I'm
going to have to turn these girls back to normal, with the exception of
Jane, of course.
For the next 30 minutes, I sat through class, waiting for the bell to
ring. As long as Mrs. Jenkins lectured, as flustered as she was, there
was no way that Jane and I could interact. All I wanted to do was take
