My name is Sam Shitekiekker, and I think this whole damn world has gone
crazy.
Political upheaval, a pandemic gift from nature, or as some claim a
botched scientific experiment, let loose upon an unsuspecting world
population.

We are wearing face masks all day, washing our hands, twenty times a day
and we must not forget to social distance. Skype meetings and face time
dating, crazy, crazy world indeed.
Personally I think the whole world is a walking, talking, living,
breathing conspiracy theory. All these insane distractions are no more
than propagated ideas designed by the industrial complex to guarantee
that those who follow the rules and directives from the government, will
be good little sheeples.
Okay I have been called a CovidIdiot, but I prefer to think of myself as
still being capable of independent thought. I do not need some official
telling me what to do and what not to do. I still have rights, if I do
not want to wear a mask I won't, if I don't want to follow all these
crazy rules then I won't.
I know they have made it mandatory to wear a silly mask in public, but I
just need to go to the store and pick up a few items. It won't take long
and I will not bother the maskers if they stay out of my way and they
don't bother me. Walking around all masked just to hide who they are, as
if a little mask's going to protect them from a virus that is no worse
than the common cold. No one is going to change my mind, no will tell me
what is best for me.
Maybe I will just drive down and grab those groceries, then stop at the
Hanging Judge Pub, on the way back for a brew or six. At least those guys
all agree with me and we don't let no pathetic yes Ma'am, mask wearing
sissies in, to breathe the air of real men. No more than six beers
though, have to work tonight, and I need to get some rest to shake this
cold and cough I have had the last few days.
There is the proof for you, a simple cold that is all it is, so I cough,
and feel like crap, been getting colds for years and never died from one
yet.
I grabbed my favourite old leather coat, Dixie patch displayed proudly on
the back.
Grabbed my keys, and jumped into my 73' Ford pickup. Cranking up the
heavy metal tunes hitting the gas, and driving towards the down town
mall.
Everyone I see walking the streets are wearing those silly masks, each
and every one now looking like want to be bank robbers. If they could
just see themselves, how ridiculous they looked. No amount of supposed
virus protection is worth looking as wussy as all that.
Walking towards the mini-mart I could see people's eyes behind their
cloth masks, eyes narrowed and looking at me with furrowed brows and
anger, hardly matching the laughter and contempt with which I looked
back. Fools, each and everyone, sold a bill of goods that they have
purchased, hook, line and sinker.
While watching and chuckling at an old couple, shuffling along, I did not
notice the Lady stepping out from a doorway before me and I walked into
her, knocking the bundle of files and papers she had in her hands to the
ground. I stumbled and turned to her, looking into the grey green eyes,
and face hidden behind one of those masks with the vents.
"God, Lady watch where you're walking, why don't you!" I mumbled.
I stood and smiled, watching her struggle to collect the scattered
papers. If she had not had the silly face shield on, I am sure she would
have been able to see better where she was walking.
"That is a terribly rude way to behave," she said. after having gathered
up, the assorted collection of scattered papers.
"Look Lady, you ran into me, if you didn't have that silly mask on I am
sure you would have seen me walking here."
"Oh, perhaps you are right," she replied, words muffled behind the blue
cloth covering.
"Are you going into the vaccination clinic?" she asked, pointing to the
door which she had just exited.
"Not likely, you are not going to catch me being a guinea pig, for some
Medical conglomerate!"
I could see her eyebrows rise even higher behind her mask.
"So you don't think or care about anyone else? You don't think we should
do what we can, to stop this pandemic?" she asked, again her voice
muffled and hard to understand.
"I look out for number one, and I expect everyone else can look out for
themselves as well. I am not some weak kneed sissy boy, or little
frightened Bimbo, that needs someone else to look out for me!" I turned
to continue up the sidewalk, to the mini-mart. My groceries waited, and
more importantly there was a six pack of Coors calling my name.
The Lady stood up and stumbled, reaching out and grabbing my arm for
balance, as she did something stung my wrist.

"Oh dear, I am terribly sorry." She didn't look terrible sorry, if I did
not know any better, I would think she was laughing at me behind that
mask.
Grumbling to myself, I turned and stomped off, this was turning out to be
all round miserable day.
I had not gone far, when I felt a little faint, and dizzy, I put my hand
against the side of a building and stopped to catch my breath. Maybe this
stupid cold, had taken more out of me than I thought. Suddenly feeling
flushed and light headed. I took a step and hitched my jeans up that had
started to feel so tight against my hips.
My damn jeans were shrinking, as I watched, the legs shortening, and
riding up past my calves, past my thighs, becoming clingy like a second
skin. I could hardly walk, as my feet started to shrink along with my new
custom leather cowboy boots. What the heck, was happening to me?
I turned and stumbled, to heck with the mini- mart I had to get back to
my truck. I started down the sidewalk swaying my hips as I walked.
Swaying my hips? What was happening, my jacket, my fine leather jacket
was suddenly way too large, and the white wife beater Tee was becoming
way to constrictive. I opened my Jacket and looked down, eyes unable to

There in the doorway was the Lady I had run into previously, her eyes
still hidden behind a mask, but seeming to sparkle with some hidden
humour, a joke only she knew the punch line to.
"Come in dear," she said. "You must be chilled wearing those little
shorts in such nasty weather."
"Oh, yes thank you. I am cold, was silly of me to go walking about
dressed like this today," I replied.
What the heck was I saying; those weren't my thoughts, not my words, what
the heck was happening.
The Lady took my arm and guided me into the nearest washroom. The sign on
the door said Ladies, I couldn't go in there. She didn't slow down, but
pulled my arm, pulling me into the empty room, passed the closed stalls
to stand in front of the mirror. I looked at the stranger staring at me
from the glass. A short buxom blonde, wearing a much to large leather
jacket, a much to tight tee shirt, daisy duke cut-offs shorts and a pair
of pink leather cowboy boots. I was screaming inside but all that escaped
my full pouty lips was another giggle laugh.
The Lady slipped my jacket off, and standing beside me, set a large
handbag on the counter.
"Now, let's get you fixed u," she said. Taking out an assortment of make
up, she proceeded to outline, and then paint my lips with a scarlet
lipstick, then shined them with some type of gloss. Added mascara,
eyeliner, and rouge to my cheeks. She applied it heavy and thick, like
she was painting a canvas not a face, watching her in the mirror I
thought it looked so clownish, but it was me. I was opening my mouth to
protest.
"Oh gosh, thank you ever so much, it looks so very pretty. I just love
what you have done."
Now I was, crying inside, this couldn't be real, this couldn't be
happening. What had she done to me?
The Lady then slipped the much too big leather jacket over me and guided
me out into the area where tables were set up. A nurse stood beside a
chair at each table. The Lady guided me over to the first available
table.
"This is Samantha," she said. "She is here to get her Vaccination."

Smiling happily, my new me was guided again to the front door. The Lady
