Chapter Three
Mrs. Baxter called out to her staff now as over they came and then she
introduced them to Lee. As she began spewing a series of commands in
Spanish, the three women didn't say much, mostly nodding and then she
turned, patting him on the back.
"Wait," said Lee, grabbing her arm. "But I don't know any Spanish?"
"Neither do the children you'll be watching," laughed Rita. "Now
you're not here to gossip with my help, you're here to help out with
the kids. You don't need to understand what they're saying to be shown
what to do. They understand some basic English anyway, but just pay
attention and the rest should be common sense dear."
"Ok but there are three of them and only one of me," said Lee, looking
around the room.
"You don't need three to watch the kids, but I figured I'd have them
tidy up before they left and make sure everyone was fed lunch,"
explained Rita. "That way all you need to do is babysit, unless you'd
prefer to spend some time as one of my cleaning ladies as well,
Keleigh."
"No thank you," said Lee, shaking his head.
"Didn't think so," smiled Rita. "From what your mother says, you've
never been the type to get your hands dirty anyway, and that didn't
take long to translate, did it."
"Really? I just glued on all those flowers and did all those boxes?"
Lee tossed up his hands. "A hundred and ten of them! Is that not
getting your hands dirty?"
"Honey that was a compliment, and I must get going now." Rita rolled
her eyes and softly touched his back. "If I wanted my son with a maid,
I could have easily have persuaded one to fill the role, but believe
me that thought never crossed my mind!"
"Maybe it should have?" grumbled Lee, playing with his pony.
"Oh don't get your panties in a ruffle? The fact that you're a bit too
dainty is a good thing, so learn to accept that already," said Rita,
walking away. "Everyone else
She turned now, barking out a few more things in Spanish and then
walked away, closing the door as just that quickly he was on
babysitting duty as staff scurried getting some things ready.
He watched for a few minutes until a woman came over and introduced
herself.
"Esmeralda," said the woman, pointing to herself. "You come."
"Keleigh," nodded Lee, spouting one of the few words he knew. "Si."
Over to the changing table she took him before chasing after a toddler
and scooping her up as she was running from her. She placed her down
on the table before giving her a bottle to relax her and then lifted
her dress.
"You do," said Esmeralda in broken English, pointing.
"Sure," said Lee, nodding as he surveyed the situation and then pulled
down her tights.
Her diaper wasn't even wet yet Esmeralda handed him some wipes and
then ointment, instructing him with hand gestures. It wasn't really
that tough as he nodded, following along as he wiped her carefully and
then rubbed on some ointment.
When she spit out her bottle, Esmeralda grabbed his hand and tapped
his nail as he realized that he was accidentally scratching the child
with his long nail. He nodded, being more careful as he added more
ointment and then cautiously finished changing the diaper.
Back up came the tights now as he worked as gently as he could, and
then he lifted the toddler into his arms. She instructed how to hold
her and then burb her which wasn't that tough, as she placed a simple
white wash cloth over his shoulder before Lee started tapping the
little one's back.
Such a big belch came out of such a little girl as Lee felt such
jubilation that he successfully burped her. When he went to put her
down though, it would be quite different, as she had a good grip,
pulling on his pony.
A little pain he'd endure, as finally her fingers would be pried from
his locks as she took the bow and scrunchie with it. Esmeralda just
gave a little chuckle as off went the toddler with the bow across the
room as Lee chased her and lifted her to his arms. He gave a little
tickle as he tried taking back the bow but then a scream occurred as
he backed off, figuring he'd let her play with it. He hadn't made it
five minutes from Rita's warning and already he'd lost his first
kiddie battle.
Before he could even lament it though, Esmeralda then pointed to the
next child running, as over he went corralling a boy racing across the
room. He then lifted him into his arms laughing as he was getting the
hang of things as this wasn't that bad, as he brought him over to the
changing table.
"I got this," said Lee, giving her the thumbs up, confident with a
boy.
He was certainly used to pulling down pants, but not what occurred the
second he opened the diaper. Like a deer in headlights, he could
barely move as the room temperature air made contact with his private
area, the little guy spouted like an orca.
"Eeeeewwwww," moaned Lee, stunned as his urine gushed across his
blouse and jacket, saturating him.
Quickly Esmeralda closed it up, allowing the toddler to finish as Lee
just stood with his soaked fingers extended before she handed him some
wipes. Once he cleaned them, she handed him the new diaper, nudging
him to finish as he had little choice but to wipe and clean the
toddler while himself soaked.
Once he lifted the little guy to the ground, she took him by the hand
over to a locked closet and inserted the key. On a rack there were a
series of polyester servants uniforms as she held a few up against him
before handing him one.
"La prisa! La prisa Por favor Cambio," said Esmeralda, handing him an
outfit. "No quedarse in pee pee."
He nodded, knowing what she meant as she was right and he was grossed
out as she handed him the clothes. Into the adjoining bathroom he
went, realizing it was even worse than he thought, seeing white spit
up on his shoulder and then stripping off the urine soaked clothes.
These were sizable stain and what he knew were expensive clothes, but
he could care less, happy to be out of them. A quick bath he gave
himself in just his bra and panties with a wash cloth before stepping
into the itchy grey servant's dress.
Into the hamper he tossed them and placed his pumps next to it on the
floor before he opened the door, hurrying out, struggling to zip the
back.
Esmeralda was waiting with a few pairs of loafer type shoes as she
dropped them at his feet.
"R?pidamente!" said Esmeralda, hurrying him before stepping behind and
zipping the back as he held her shoulder, finding a pair that fit.
"Buena."
"I guess?" gulped Lee, looking down at himself both relived yet
petrified.
He was in a classic housekeeping uniform just like all the help, which
was certainly designed for daily wear in busy working environments,
looking like he was a young maid at ritzy hotel. He reached down,
feeling the fabric, knowing the feel of a comfortable blend of cotton
and polyester as it felt more like his school trousers than his silk
blouse.
Similar to his school trousers it was not though, except for the light
dove grey color, as the dress had a lovely A-line knee length skirt
and fitted waist. It's white contrasting round collar and sleeve cuffs
complimented the tailored style, delivering the neat hired help
appearance, and his navy loafers gave his feet a wonderful relief from
the morning's cramped pumps.
"El giro," said Esmeralda, wasting no time placing a white apron atop
his skirt and then tying it behind his back.
She shocked him a little, sliding her fingers through the back of his
hair and wasting not a moment dividing it into two sections. Like a
wizard, she spun them so quickly around and around three or four times
like they were jump ropes twirling in the park, as he could rapidly
feel the tension on his scalp and temple. Before he even knew what hit
him, it really grew uncomfortable, causing him to wince until she
stopped, seeming to pull one across the other.
Like she was tying his apron, she knotted one section inside the other
before he felt a distinct yank pulling it taut, and then she seemed to
lift both sides way up to the sky above his head. With her index
finger now, she pushed inside the knot she just made creating a small
cavity, and then threaded all of his hair that she had been holding
tightly to the sky through it.
"Bueno Chica," said Esmeralda, pulling a piece of white ribbon from
inside her apron and tying it in to hold his hair. "Adios."
"Oh gawdd," gulped Lee as she began empting the contents of her apron
into his.
Extra bows and clips for the girls were in one pocket with a few small
bags of snacks, a rubber ball and a tv remote. From the other came a
thermometer, tissue packets, wipes and a few pacifiers.
She'd quickly equipped him to handle runny noses, minor tantrums and
wild hair on the little girls without having to scramble as he now
knew he'd soon be alone.
He looked over to reflective panel above the baby changing table,
ready to vomit himself, now seeing the girl in the mirror looking neat
and coiffed yet mentally he felt already frazzled. Esmeralda had
quickly taken his long hair and spun it to be out of harms way from
both the reach of little finger or more so any forms of spewing filth.
With his tight side braid still knotted keeping his hair from his
eyes, she had spun the rest into a unique, pulled back style. At each
temple now, each entire side began in sleek tight twist gathering all
of his hair as the twists spanned towards the rear before both sides
met in the middle of the back of his head.
Once the two twists met, Esmeralda had looped them inside each other
like the knot before a bow, but instead of tying one then pulled all
his hair inside the twisted knot, creating a lovely topsy tail. She
needed no plastic tool though, as her fingers served as the gadget,
creating the quick, tightly knotted pristinely neat style before
adding a simple white double knotted ribbon to make sure it would stay
secure.
She shouted out now to the other women in Spanish before clapping her
hands and then smiled at him as they quickly picked up their
belongings, heading out of the room.
When the door slammed, half the kids turned looking his way and then
mayhem was upon him. Boys wrestling and girls hair pulling he'd
quickly need to break up, as requests for snacks came from every
direction.
How the hell could one person do this he panicked, wishing he was an
octopus as he handed out chips and pretzels in every direction?
Chewing and spewing would at least temporarily occupy some of them
while the under ten year old girls would be dragging him into games
and asking a thousand questions. In a way it was nice bonding with the
kids, as they got silly sharing some laughs. His lap and back would
soon be the jungle gym for the toddlers and terrible twos, as they
climbed on him and loved being tickled.
Before long he was getting the hang of occupying everyone, bottle
feeding the little ones while he played board games. Every time he got
up, it would not be without a kid at one hip, the other or even both
as they moved from place to place in the room, making demand after
demand.
When finally he was able to sit back down, kiddie makeup would be
impossible to keep from being brushed on his face and boys couldn't be
stopped from pelting him with soft spongy balls. If it weren't for
multiple tv's showing different age programs that occupied them at
least short term, or video games on others, he would have lost his
mind having to keep them all busy.
It had been a blessing in disguise that he changed, as it would have
been a lot tougher in heels and a tapered outfit, as at least now he
could move around more freely. Baby spit up on his shoulder easily
washed right off with a wipe, and accidents would be impossible not to
wear. He actually got quite good at diapers and having pockets in his
apron were like a godsend.
In reality time flew as he was thrust into a kiddie pop dance party as
they were all boogying until suddenly the music stopped and he looked
up, seeing Holly and Mrs. Baxter smirking and staring his way.
"Oh thank gawwddd," said Lee, holding hands with kids on each side
while grasping the baby on his left hip. "Finally back?"
"Yes, and before I ask the obvious," said Rita, looking around and
counting. "All accounted for and breathing."
"Would you have left me if you thought they wouldn't be?" asked Lee, a
bit miffed at the question.
"Well the house isn't burnt down, and you appear a bit of a wreck as
expected, but in one piece," laughed Rita. " So you don't seem to have
done too badly then?"
"Besides getting spit, puked, peed and pooped on multiple times?"
smiled Lee, still rocking the baby. "The rest wasn't so bad! And what
obvious question?"
"Forget it, and even in that you look adorable, so I'm sure my son
wouldn't mind having you around as another maid," laughed Mrs. Baxter.
"But if we'd have known you'd have done so well at this, maybe I
wouldn't have rushed my set."
"He wishes," snarled Lee, squishing his face, turning beet red, almost
forgetting how he was dressed as Rita glared at him, amused and
fluffing her hair.
"My Gary! Undoubtedly!" Rita swirled her finger.
"Except maybe not for the blue eye shadow and purple lipstick," joked
Holly, as some of the girls ran ove,r hugging her. "But the rest?"
He had to share her laugh, not actually knowing what he looked like
yet, but knew he was a wreck. As all relatives started coming in now
to collect their kids, he was warmly greeted and thanked until finally
all were back with their parents as he did his best picking up toys
with their parents, cleaning up.
"Leave the rest dear, and that's enough," said Rita, snapping her
fingers once the last set of parents left the room. "You may look like
the help, but of course you are not."
"You sure about that?" snapped Lee, getting up from his knees after
loading a bin with blocks. "Because it kind of feels like I am."
"Well I would have thought a girl in your position would be more
gracious, but I guess not?" Huffed Mrs. Baxter, rolling her eyes at
him. "Last I knew I'd treated you like a queen, and I don't recall
leaving here asking you to change into that outfit? Did I?"
"No, Mrs. Baxter," replied Lee, swallowing hard.
"Of course not, but either way I for one cannot tell where your life
or career is headed, young lady," smiled Mrs. Baxter. "But if you did
let me help you more than I have already, then know it certainly won't
be headed towards a life of servitude."
"I'm sorry," said Lee. "You know I'm doing all this because we're
appreciative. Very appreciative."
"The helping out part? Yes dear I do," said Mrs. Baxter before
smiling. "But mostly for my idiot of a son, also known as your bestie
turned boyfriend as well remember?"
"Like I could ever forget that?" Lee nodded. "Yes Mrs. Baxter and for
both of you."
"Good, then while it might be cute for a short moment, let's please
get you out of this outfit before I'm the one throwing up seeing you
in it instead of the children," said Mrs. Baxter. "And if I'm
disgusted by this, can you imagine how your mother would feel seeing
her daughter like this?"
"Maybe she doesn't need to know this then?" said Lee.
"This second no but unlike you, she and I keep no secrets from each
other," said Mrs. Baxter, growing annoyed. "Now please Holly, take her
down the back hallway and bring her upstairs to get ready in the guest
room. A robe, her dress, underwear, makeup and everything she'll need
is in there already."
"Sure," nodded Holly.
"Thank you dear," said Mrs. Baxter. "The men are wandering around
somewhere, so let's not draw their attention until she's ready."
"But half your family saw me already like this, picking up the kids?"
panicked Lee. "Is that going to be a problem?"
"Half my family saw a disheveled babysitter looking like a Benjamin
Moore factory blew up in her face," laughed Rita. "That girl of course
won't be escorting my son to Lori's weeding tonight, will she?"
"No Mr. Baxter," smirked Lee.
"Exactly, so she's about to disappear and until we clean her up,"
smirked Rita. "Back hallway while I lock this room from the outside,
and this is why I have this room separated, so when the kids are
finished I can just close the door until my help comes back tomorrow.
Now move so we can put both messes behind us."
Out the back way he went, following Holly as they used the private
hallway and then the servants' elevator. He'd been at this house many
times growing up, but never did he know about all these little
intricacies, as it was even bigger than he thought.
When finally they got upstairs, it was quiet as Holly helped him out
of the outfit and into a bathrobe. When she finished, he sat there and
then she just gave him a look and then folded her arms.
"She asked me to help you a little, but you're not thinking I'm like
your makeup artist are you?" said Holly, staring at him nastily.
"Oh?" thought Lee. "Uuumm? I guess not but..?"
"But I'm just kidding," laughed Holly, slapping his wrist. "After you
did all the shit work for me today, I kind of volunteered."
"Really?" said Lee surprised. "I thought my mom would be coming back
to help me."
"She was, but Rita told her it wasn't necessary when we were out,"
said Holly, taking a wipe to his face. "I figured it was the least I
could do, and I've always wanted a little sister."
"Of course you did?" laughed Lee as she wiped across his lids. "Why
should you be any different? Seems that's the theme for yours, mine
and your future husband's family."
"You mean the theme of helping you become this fabulous little
debutant?" laughed Holly, before getting sarcastic. "You know how many
girls would die for that?"
"No, but I know a boy that... well?" shrugged Lee, looking at dirty
makeup wipes being tossed aside. "Maybe you could send a few Mrs.
Baxter's way?"
"Nah she's in love with this spunky little drama queen that
volunteered, so that job is filled?" teased Holly, adding some
moisturizer. "And it's not exactly like the girl is tied up, being
forced against her will is she?"
"Well not yet, but I was wondering for a minute if she gave some of
those kids that job?" joked Lee as she massaged it in. "And I never
said I was treated poorly, but you know what I mean?"
"Yeah i mean it could be worse being treated like the adored princess,
Keleigh?" joked Holly, fanning out her hands bowing and giggling. "I
mean I guess you did look cute in the maid's outfit?"
"Can you imagine? I barely made it a few hours?" gulped Lee, relieved
as she wiped her hand in a towel, kind of sizing up what she wanted to
do. "And thanks for helping me. I've gotten some lessons, but I'm not
that good yet with all this."
"You mean with makeup, right?" said Holly, opening a drawer and trying
to match some foundation. "Because you're pretty good with the rest if
you ask me."
"Thanks I think, but that's what I meant," replied Lee as she began
sponging around his face "I've gotten lessons in everything, but
besides doing beauty stuff which I'm not that great at, the rest is
really just common sense."
"Yeah common sense too many girls either never had or forgot about,"
giggled Holly, putting a little concealer under his eyes. "You on the
other hand are a natural then I guess."
"That I doubt," said Lee, as Holly blended. "But I was always the best
actor in school, so really it's just translated."
"To being a little prima donna and a flirt! Eyes closed, girl,"
laughed Holly, painting across his lid with a liquid liner. "Come on
Keleigh? I took a few acting classes in college, and those things were
never in my lesson plan."
"That's because you were never a boy trying to play a girl's part,"
Lee told her while she began defining his brows.
"So you're still claiming you were then?" said Holly, doubting him as
she started working the outer crease with her eye shadow brush. "You
know it's just me here now right? Open please?"
"No really? It's an art unto itself," said Lee as she held his left
eye open, working on his waterlines with a pencil. "Who you going to
believe, me or the woman with an agenda?"
"So you have no agenda?" snapped Holly, doing the other eye now. "You
volunteered to be this prissy little weekend date out of the goodness
of your heart? Nothing more?"
"Of course it was more," said Lee, looking away as she separated his
lashes with her lash brush. "Gary's my best friend."
"No, Gary's now your boyfriend," Lectured Holly, spreading some glue
on a false lash and then blowing on it. "Look down until I tell you."
"Well yeah, but it's not like that?" said Lee as she pressed on the
lash and pushed on the edges.
"It isn't?" said Holly, putting on the other one and then slipping her
wand in and out of its tube. "I'm not blind, Keleigh I see how he
looks at you, and so do you? Now look up and don't blink."
"He's just...just.... just Gary," said Lee, getting frustrated as she
coated his lashes. "That's how he is around all girls."
"But you're not all girls?" smiled Holly, doing another coat. "Are
you?"
"All girls? no!" Lee replied as she worked on the lower lashes now.
"Hell, I'm not even a girl."
"Bullshit!" laughed Holly, rolling her eyes and then dipping a big
brush in some blush. "Suck in your cheeks for a sec, and we fucking
both know he's not thinking that way at all, is he?"
"Well?" mumbled Lee as she brushed across his cheeks.
"Really, Keleigh?" Holly shook her head and dipped a smaller brush in
another powder. "Oh and sorry let them out now."
"Thanks," huffed Lee, letting out his breath, not wanting to think
about that anyway.
"And what's the answer?" said Holly, holding up her brush and waiting.
"You obviously know how much he wants to.. you know proceed further as
his little squeeze?"
"Unfortunately? Kinda? And eeeewww! Please don't say it like that?"
gulped Lee, as she brushed under his eyes and then worked at each side
of his nose. "But I can't control that! I'm just doing what I'm told
and when I'm told."
"Yeah that I know, and eyes closed again," nodded Holly, jumping back
to his eye makeup, brushing under his brows. "But why you're doing it
I'm still trying to put my finger on?"
"Because he's my best friend," replied Lee as she worked at the outer
edges of his eyes again.
"No, it's more than that? Open and look at me?" Ordered Holly,
studying her work as he opened his eyes, and then taking a big brush
to his forehead, then his chin. "And what's the big secret. I'm
marrying his brother, and you know I'm going to find out."
"There's no secret," said Lee, as she again took out her mascara,
attacking his left eye. "My mother and Rita are childhood friends.
They were best friends as kids."
"So since they're besties, that makes you dress up and be her son's
little honey?" said Holly, attacking the right eye now. "Seriously?"
"My dad died when I was young, and Rita took care of my mother when
things were bad," explained Lee as Holly was really blended his
shadows now. "Took us in until we got on our feet. Paid off our bills.
Helped us get our house. The Baxter wealth goes way beyond money, but
since you're marrying their son, I'm thinking you know that already.
The Baxter family is like family to us, and I'd do anything for them."
"Even become a girl to date their son?" Holly asked, shaking a spray.
"Now be still and let me set this."
"I have not become a girl, and we're really not dating," said Lee with
his eyes closed, feeling the mist on his face. "Now can we not talk
more about this, and it's more complicated than that?"
"Oh I'm going to get it out of you, sister, and eyes open now!" teased
Holly, stopping to sharpen a lip pencil and then pointing it at him.
"This is a wonderful story, but that's only half the story isn't it?"
"No, that's more than I wanted to talk about," groaned Lee, annoyed
and starting to get up. "Now we done?"
"With your face almost, but I'll back down now," said Holly, grabbing
his wrist. "Now smile big, but remember we'll be spending a lot more
time togethe,r and you are not getting off this easy."
"Not expecting to ever get off easy on anything around this family,
and really I never have?" sighed Lee, pushing her hand away as she
expected to continue again. "You know what, just tell me what I still
have to do, and I'll figure out the rest myself."
"I'm sorry," Holly squeezed his hand and then raised the pencil back
up. "I'm done being nosey, and I got this!"
"It's ok," nodded Lee. "Forget it."
"No! Now please," said Holly, working on his lips again. "I feel
horrible now."
"Thanks, and don't," nodded Lee, looking up at her before she took a
brush to her lip pallet and then began painting his lips. "And I
didn't mean to be bitchy or unappreciative, but this is not easy ok?
I'm trying really hard and it's just not?"
"Well we're going to have plenty more time to talk, so I'm here for
you girl," said Holly, carefully filling them in as she could see him
getting emotional. "Now don't you dare ruin this makeup with any
waterworks, but even if you do you're still going to be the prettiest
girl in the room and I hate you for that."
"Prettier than you?" smiled Lee, reaching over, touching her hand and
squeezing it. "Not a chance."
"Well it's not a competition you know?" Winked Holly, leaning in and
hugging him and then leaning back, patting her hair. "But I was the
prom queen back in my day, and can't you tell with all these damn
curls pinned to my head my future mother in law had them do?"
A little giggle with her was very nice after the inquisition, and then
he stared at her looking so sophisticated with her copper red hair up
in a formal style. With the front side swept across her forehead, the
back in thick chignon and then the top pinned up in thick rolled
curls, she was already rocking quite the elegant bridal style even
though just like Lee was, she'd only be a guest at the wedding.
It was just more foresight into Mrs. Baxter's controlling intentions,
insuring she'd be delivering the perfect future bride at her nieces'
wedding for her family to see. At least in some way he didn't feel
alone at being controlled by her, yet Holly seemed to be in synch with
her wishes. It was not like he could do anything differently anyway,
yet he wondered how she seemed so perfect, never having seen her
without even a hair out of place.
Was she his friend like she was trying to be, helping him, or just one
of Mrs. Baxter's puppets asking questions and testing him?
"It looks beautiful," smiled Lee. "And yeah, you do have that prom
queen look."
"Thank you Keleigh, and future mother in laws sort of orders," giggled
Holly, flattered, dipping a brush in some clear gloss and rubbing it
across his lips. "Not that she dictated the hairdo, but she wanted me
to represent if you know what I mean, and I can't promise you like
this ridiculous prom updo thing I have, but I wouldn't mind doing your
hair too if you'd let me?"
"Let you?" said Lee, giving her a weird look and rubbing his lips
together. "I thought that was part of the deal here?"
"You know maybe I should have been the one in the maids outfit?"
laughed Holly, shaking her head and walking over, plugging in a few
hair tools. "Stand up and turn around for a second. Of course it was
part of the deal. You think Rita leaves anything unplanned?"
"Absolutely not," Lee stood and turned as she asked.
As he stood, she pulled out the little bow and then took a minute
unraveling the back of his hair. When it was finally hanging freely,
she raked through it with her fingers, breaking some lingering
hairspray bonds and then had him sit down as she undid the frontal
braid.
She was nowhere near as rough as his mother, more casually brushing
through his hair with a wide tooth brush and then spritzed the now
wavy section from the braid, dampening it. As it hung in his face, she
lifted a thin flat iron and grabbed a thin section, slowly
straightening it. Right in front of his eyes now, one by one the
ruffles became long brunette spaghetti strands, until five minutes
later his entire head was again pin straight.
Finally satisfied with her ironing, she flipped his hair over from the
right side part, brushing through all of it two or three times. Back
to the left she'd repeat it now until finally she put down the brush
and then stared at him, squishing her cheeks like she was sizing him
up.
"Ok I kind of got some parameters here, so let's see what we can do?"
said Holly, lifting sections and spraying it with more heat
protectant.
"You mean orders," joked Lee, as she put down the spray and then
pulling back the top from temple to temple before twisting in a big
clip.
"Kind of, and I'm decent with hair," giggled Holly, as she lifted a
big section up on the left side and slipped in a very long silver
clip. "But the boss did say remember she's a teenager, and nothing
outrageous that could upstage anyone, so I told you don't expect the
prom queen shit like on my head."
"Like I have expectations about anything, or could upstage you?" said
Lee, as Holly was separating a section before stretching it and
coating it with hairspray. "I told you before, I just do or go where
I'm told, and I just had my eighth grade prom two weeks ago, but trust
me, not a girl there hair's looked as fancy as yours."
"That's so sweet of you to say, Keleigh," smiled Holly, lifting a gold
barrel from her vanity and then wrapping the section of his hair
around it. "But that I doubt, knowing some of the mothers of girls in
this zip code. I've seen some shit so fancy it'll blow your mind, and
even though I'm not curling all the way up near the root, sit still
now please."
"Sure, sorry and I'm thinking you'll see some of that tonight too,"
said Lee, folding his hands, sitting up as a thick curl dropped down
on his shoulder now.
"True," said Holly, pulling out the next strand, spraying and rolling
it up. "And probably tomorrow at my shower."
"Not probably? Try definitely!" laughed Lee as they shared a laugh as
down dropped the third curl.
"So how did you wear your hair to your eighth grade prom?" asked
Holly, rolling up the next one. "Because I'm thinking from what I've
seen it's not like your mother is on a different page than Rita when
it comes to these things?"
"Uuumm in a slicked back ponytail?" smiled Lee, glancing down, seeing
curls begin to pile on his shoulder.
"Really?" Holly was surprised, pausing for a minute before spraying
another section and rolling it up.
"Ah yeah," said Lee, rolling his eyes. "I was in a tux with a red bow
tie and a boy, remember?"
"Ohhh jeez," grumbled Holly, feeling bad, pulling out the iron and
stopping for a second. "I'm so sorry. I was just curling here and
talking and wasn't thinking. I..I didn't mean anything by that."
"I know," Lee replied, reaching out and touching her wrist. "It's
fine, and my date had her hair swept to one side in curls, if that
makes a difference."
"Actually it doesn't, but I love that style," smiled Holly, pulling
the pin, letting down the layer and grabbing a section, rolling up the
next one near his temple. "I'm doing something a little different
here, but does your boyfriend know about this?"
"Sure, and he knows her," said Lee, looking up at her softly nodding
with the barrel above his eyes. "We've hung out a few times."
"And Mrs. Baxter?" asked Holly, softly letting the curl down.
"Well she hasn't met her, but she's seen the picture and pretty much
knows everything in my life," said Lee as she stretched another.
"So she's your girlfriend then?" said Holly with a smirk on her face,
dropping down the curl.
"Well we kissed a few times, but more just a friend," said Lee,
getting a little embarrassed, looking down at the pile of curls.
"Really it was no big deal, and my mom doesn't exactly want me dating
right now as you can imagine."
"What I can't imagine is you in tux?" laughed Holly, jumping to the
other side of his head now, lifting the layers and sliding in another
silver pin.
"Right now that I can understand," Lee replied as she stretched the
next section, spraying and rolling it up. "But trust me, I wasn't
always the one in the dress."
"Still struggling that you weren't, girlfriend?" joked Holly, placing
the first curl on his other shoulder now. "But not with your hair. It
really holds a curl well."
"Mine? or the extensions," laughed Lee, lifting one on the other side.
"I'm thinking both, and do not tug while they cool down or they will
flop," said Holly, pulling away his hand. "You're not used to the
extensions, are you?"
"Oh? Well no, honestly," smiled Lee, as Holly reached up, sectioning
and curling up the next.
"Me either, but I love them," said Holly, as she dropped down the
curl. "Thank gawdd for Rita because they are freaking expensive."
"I have no idea, but I'm sure," laughed Lee, seeing her stretch and
spray the next before rolling it up. "And it wasn't like I had short
hair."
"Not at all," said Holly, placing down the curl and lifting a layer.
"I can see the layers, and the really tight curls looked great on you
yesterday, but weren't natural either then, were they?"
"I had no idea I was getting a perm until I was," replied Lee as she
pulled out the pin, moving to the higher layer, curling it now. "Mrs.
Baxter's and my mom's idea."
"You really have gone all out then, haven't you?" asked Holly,
dropping down the curl. "How many girls would do what you have done?"
"Uuumm I think we're back to that same answer again? None that I know
of," laughed Lee as they both cracked up.
They needed a minute to calm down from the giggles and then Holly
wiped under her eyes, composing herself.
"Oh gawwddd do not do that to me again, and we're lucky this iron was
not in or I could have burned your hair off," said Holly, still
giggling before stretching the next section. "That was just too
gawwwdd damn funny."
"Glad I could be of some amusement," smiled Lee, as up rolled the next
curl.
"Me too, but one thing I still need to know before I finish?" said
Holly, dropping down a curl. "So your prom date? Is she really
pretty?"
"Well yeah?" nodded Lee as Holly spun up the last curl.
"Pretty as you?" teased Holly, dropping it down. "But before you even
answer that, I'm thinking I know the answer."
"Then why did you ask?" laughed Lee as she was lifting the ends of his
hair, separating some curls spraying.
"Fine, you little diva?" laughed Holly, lifting a lot of his hair onto
his back, rustling through the curls with her fingers. "But is she?"
"Aren't you done yet?" said Lee, getting uncomfortable.
"Making curls yeah. But I'm not going to stop until I get some details
here you know?" laughed Holly, coming in front of him and lifting his
chin. "So then you're going to see her again?"
"Like date? No," said Lee, shaking his head as she took out her wide
brush, softly brushing the hair off his face, cautious not to disturb
any curls. "Who knows what I'll be doing this summer. Plus she'll be
going to a different high school anyway, so I'm sure we'll still talk
but I have no idea what's happening for the future."
"Nor should you be worrying your pretty little tail off about anything
in your future, missy," said Mrs. Baxter, entering the room, hanging a
dress up on the door. "And I like what you've done here so far Holly.
Very nice."
"Oh hey mom," smiled Holly, getting up and air kissing her cheek.
"Thanks. She's easy to work with so it's been fun."
"Well she can be if she has her head on straight and keeps her focus,"
smiled Mrs. Baxter, inspecting. "You are doing that, aren't you
Keleigh?"
"Yes, Mrs. Baxter," nodded Lee, letting her look him over.
"Good, because I get a little worried when I hear you babbling about
other girls and ludicrous dating talk," said Mrs. Baxter, moving some
hair on his shoulders. "Tonight's a big night, and I can't have your
mind on anything but your commitments, young lady."
"It's not," groaned Lee.
"Well I would hope not, Keleigh?" said Mrs. Baxter, walking over and
taking some items from a bag.
"Have I let you down for even a minute, Mrs. Baxter?" sighed Lee with
her back to him.
"Dear, did I say you did?" said Mrs. Baxter, placing some items on the
bed.
"Don't blame her," said Holly, defending him as she moved some of his
hair from his eye, fussing. "We were just talking about hair and
proms, and somehow we just got just off track then onto that subject."
"I see," nodded Mrs. Baxter, turning around. "Leave us for a moment,
Keleigh."
"Oh gawwdd? Are we in trouble?" said Lee, getting anxious. "Leave and
go where?"
"Into the bathroom right there to get dressed please, and no you are
not in trouble, darling," said Mrs. Baxter, pointing across the room.
"Take your underwear and hose off the bed, then when you're ready,
call out so I'll send in your dress."
"I can take it and do that myself as well," said Lee, grabbing his
stuff off the bed and then walking over to grab the dress. "Sometimes
I just need help with the clasps or zipper."
"When you come out of course we'll help with the final touches, and
then we can all leave together," said Mrs. Baxter, taking the hanger
with the dress wrapped beneath plastic away from him. "But let me have
that. I've changed my mind on what I'd like you in tonight, so I'm
glad after you're fittings we picked up those extra dresses."
"Extra dresses?" asked Lee, surprised.
"Just some things for the future if all works out," said Mrs. Baxter,
looking into his eyes. "You girls change your mind like the weather
anyway, so you know I'm the type that believes in being prepared, and
it's not like I expected any of these dresses to go to waste, but I
guess we'll see? Won't we, Keleigh?"
"I don't know," groaned Lee, getting upset. "I just wear what you tell
me to."
"Ask you to dear?" said Mrs. Baxter, rubbing his arm and then handing
him a shoe box. "You may have looked adorable in my servant's uniform,
but you know you and your mother mean the world to me, so I'd never
have you thinking you're my little slave."
"You?" said Lee, sucking in his emotions and turning away towards the
bathroom. "Of course not Mrs. Baxter, and I'll still wear anything you
ask me to. I'll go change?"
"That a girl," grinned Mrs. Baxter, watching him go.
Into the bathroom he went as Rita and Holly now seemed to get into a
deep conversation. He couldn't hear everything they said, but hoped he
didn't get Holly in any trouble with her, as that was never his
intention.
He could buckle his own bra now, as inside the padded lacey silver
garment he went and then stepped into the matching boy short panties.
He wasn't sure of the shape of his dress, yet tucked himself away as
the tight stretchy panties would do the trick anyway before he rolled
up the nude hose. Carefully he stretched his toes inside them before
taking his time pulling them up, making sure not to catch them with
his nails and then he tugged the waistband, making them as taut as
they could. He leaned on the vanity, stepping into his shoes and then
closed the toilet sitting atop the bowl cover. Leaning down it would
be strange enough to flip all the curls from his eyes, but then he
buckled the strap around his ankles before standing and cracking open
the door.
"I'm ready for the dress, Ms. Baxter," said Lee, poking his head out.
"Wonderful, dear," said Mrs. Baxter, fluffing her elaborate hairdo in
the mirror. "You can come out and it's just us now."
"Oh sure. Nothing to see anyway but a girl in her underwear" joked
Lee, tossing up his hands, walking out. "But what happened to Holly?"
"Well glad you're in a better mood now Keleigh, but as wonderful as
she's been, she still needs to get dressed too you know?" said Mrs.
Baxter, moving towards him and sizing him up. "Plus I wasn't sure if
you needed additional help and I didn't want it to be awkward for her,
since I've seen what you've got since back when I changed your
diaper."
"Not that I remember it of course, but yes I know you did and it's
just a little different these days," replied Lee, then holding out his
hands, backing her off. "But again that's handled, so nothing to see."
"Well done, young lady, but I wasn't one hundred percent sure and we
wouldn't want anyone uncomfortable, would we?" said Mrs. Baxter,
looking him up and down.
"No?" acknowledged Lee, turning beet red. "Definitely not!"
"Good, and in this dress you'll have nothing to worry about anyway,"
said Mrs. Baxter, walking over, taking a wide tooth brush and a comb
from the vanity. "It won't be as revealing in places we don't want it
to be as with the other we'd have had to be even more cautious, so now
it's even a better choice. Turn around and face the wall please,
darling."
"Oh?" said Lee, thinking he understood the change and turning around.
"Makes sense then I guess."
"Always a method to my madness, young lady. Now hold these pins for me
Keleigh, and be still," said Ms. Baxter, putting some pins in his hand
and stiffly brushing back his hair from temple to temple. "Let's get
your bow in before you shake out all Holly's beautiful work."
"Another bow? sighed Lee, cringing as she brushed back away from his
face. "I mean... Yes Mrs. Baxter and I wasn't trying to..."
"Question my judgment? I know you weren't, and glad you've noticed
them," smiled Rita, holding his hair back, brushing hard into her
fingers. "It's just sometimes we all forget the things we take for
granted which we of course can't."
"I really wasn't?" Winced Lee, as she reversed it now, pulling free
the most front of his forehead before teasing at the root and
spritzing on some hairspray. "All I did was change like you ask me
to."
"And did you call out for help when you bent over to put on your shoes
or did you allow all these gorgeous curls to flop down in your face?"
asked Rita, flipping it onto his face as suddenly the long section was
covering his eyes.
"Uuumm I just kind of moved them aside and buckled my shoes?" groaned
Lee as the next section was tossed atop the last. "Should I not have?"
"See how simple of a thing that is to forget?" said Rita, teasing even
harder now and flipping the next, spraying constantly. "You could have
easily ruined you hair."
"Oh no," Lee cringed as another came flying over, as he could see
nothing but a mop in his face. "I'm so
"Oh please. Now hand me two bobbi pins," said Rita, lifting all of the
hair and pulling it back off his face before gently combing it back.
"Thankfully you didn't."
"Oh thank gawwdd," sighed Lee, handing them up as finally he could see
the wall again as she gently combed through the section just behind
his forehead and he felt a pin slide in at the crown on the right side
at an 90 degree angle. "You scared me."
"No, dear," said Mrs. Baxter, sliding the other pin on the other side
like an x across his crown. "Turn around now and sometimes you scare
me."
"I'm sorry," said Lee, as she was shaking her hair spray right in his
face before she covered his eyes and saturating behind his forehead.
"I didn't mean to."
"Let's hope you didn't, and hand me your bow, because this looks
beautiful on you now," said Rita, turning his shoulder again and
holding out her hand.
"I bet," Lee replied, handing it up. "Uuumm I mean thank you."
"Stop fidgeting, and you're welcome of course, princess," said Rita,
wiggling it in place before he heard the distinct snap high on the
back of his head. "Now isn't that just darling on you? so ready for
your dress?"
"Oh thank you," Softly nodded Lee. "And sure."
"Good girl, then hold my shoulder, step in gingerly and I'll help you,
but then you'll do the rest," said Rita, crouching down and holding
the dress open. "Just be extra careful not to catch your heel in a
dress like this."
"Whoa?" said Lee, seeing all the sparkle and material scrunched up,
cautiously stepping in. "This looks a lot fancier than what I've been
in so far."
"It's a Baxter wedding dear, so what did you expect?" said Mrs.
Baxter, slowly guiding it up. "Certainly you couldn't be there in
something less dressy, and do you not remember some of the wonderful
things at your fitting that you dazzled in before even a stitch of
makeup?"
"Kind of?" Lee said as he slipped his arms through the little straps.
"And I may need help with the zipper or whatever holds it together."
"Of course, and it needs to sit perfectly so things you don't really
have yet won't show," said Mrs. Baxter, holding out the front of the
bodice, pulling off the plastic that covered the little tape strips.
"Now be still and I expected to do the tape for you anyway, Keleigh."
"Sure," gulped Lee as she bonded the dress to his flesh. "Wait? What
did you mean yet?"
"Oh that's wonderful, dear," said Mrs. Baxter, pushing at them and
then spinning him around, slowly inching up the zipper. "I just meant
it gives you a cute, full little A on your way to a B? So take that
anyway you like dear, but now you do."
"Wow it kind of does," said Lee, looking over at his reflection as she
was behind him now. "And I kind of do?"
"Just like any other developing teenager? Breath in, dear," ordered
Mrs. Baxter, slowly inching the zipper up further as he inhaled.
"Which of course you are? Aren't you?"
"Yeah but..." exhaled Lee, twisting his chest, amazed that he had
little cleavage. "Maybe not how you meant it."
"Oh I don't know, but I guess time will tell?" smiled Mrs. Baxter,
yanking him around a bit, clasping a hook above the zipper. "But for
now all I'm concerned about is making sure you look just perfect, and
my son can proudly show off this maturing young lady."
"Well that once again appears to not be a problem," sighed Lee, as she
was flipping curls out of her way on to his right shoulder. "Wait? I
know this dress!"
"You should," said Rita. "You tried it on in two different colors."
"But I don't remember this color?" sighed Lee, panicking. "Is this the
prom dress my date wore?"
"The exact one? No!" said Rita as she began gently arranging more of
his hair off his back onto his left shoulder now before grinning as
she looked into his eyes in the reflection. "You're actually a size
smaller than her if you're curious."
"Why would you put me in this?" asked Lee, getting upset.
"Why not?" said Rita, barely able to control her grin. "It's gorgeous,
and you didn't object when you tried it on."
"I objected to nothing?" said Lee, holding his chest. "You had me in
and out of so many dresses I didn't even know what I was trying on."
"Interesting that this bothers you?" replied Rita, tapping her chin.
"But girls get so funny when someone else shows up in their dress,
don't they?"
"You know that's not what I meant," said Lee, stunned and tossing out
his arms frustrated.
"Then what's your worry?" said Mrs. Baxter, stepping in, fluffing the
skirt and the lifting his wrist. "She won't be here, and you're
stunning in this color. I love this on you."
"My worry?" groaned Lee as she clipped a bracelet over his right wrist
and then pulled back, shaking it. "I dated a girl in this same dress,
and now you've put me in it? Why this dress with all the options? Why
would you do that?"
"Because its an extraordinary dress! Because it looks beautiful on
you!" smiled Rita, twirling her finger at him and then stepping in,
pushing a few ring on his fingers. "Because my son will think it's
gorgeous on you, and because I've already told you the other reasons,
haven't you been listening?"
"Of course I've been listening?" moaned Lee, stamping his foot,
growing furious and pulling away his hand again.
"Excuse me, young lady?" said Rita, folding her arms. "You did not
raise your voice to me?"
"Uuummm," Lee backed down. "No and...Uuummm maybe tell me again?"
"I will, but listen good this time Keleigh, because I want you taking
nothing for granted which I fear you may have in being a little too
loose with your tongue with Holly," Scolded Rita, circling him before
sliding her arms under his hair from behind, speaking right in his
ear. "You my darling volunteered to be Gary's girlfriend and date for
the weekend. The entire weekend! That includes every damn event, so
when you are on my time and especially under my roof, you are that
girl every damn second of every minute regardless of who you are
speaking to! Regardless of what they know or don't know. You cannot
take shit for granted or forget! You got me young lady?"
"Yes, ma'am," gulped Lee, petrified as she pulled them out, feeling
something on his chest.
"Good, because when that pretty little tongue spouts out anything
about her life," Lectured Rita, walking in front of him now, lifting
his chin and speaking in his face before taking hold of his left ear.
"You are the pretty curly headed girl the hunky boys take to the prom
and not the other way around. Now don't make me remind you again, and
don't you ever say anything to the contrary while on my time."
"Ok," said Lee meekly as she switched to the other ear now.
"Good, then we understand each other fully," smiled Rita, touching
some perfume to his neck and then grabbing his arm, spritzing his
wrist. "And not that you don't look amazing in almost everything we've
tried on you, but this dress will serve as reminder to you, so you
want to repeat back to me who that is?"
"Gary's girlfriend, Keleigh O'Keefe," sighed Lee, trying to keep it
together. "The girl all the boys take to the prom."
"I said the hunky boys, not all the boys. That my darling makes you
sound like a slut, which you will not be on my watch, and my son's
problem in the first place, but at least we're getting somewhere and I
like the confidence," laughed Rita, teasing him then tapping his arm.
"Get your purse, rub your wrists together and let's go, Keleigh. And
if you really take a good look at yourself, you'll realize your friend
may have looked cute in this dress, but she did not look like
this..... my princess."
Lee wanted to scream and even worse strangle her, but of course knew
neither was an option, taking a few deep breaths, doing his best to
calm his nerves.
He followed Rita from the room, never more looking the part of a
debutante as he held the rail walking downstairs.
He stood in their foyer as she called out to her husband and Holly,
seeing how he was wearing much more makeup than ever before, and in
such a fancier dress. He was in a spaghetti strapped, satin royal blue
A-line fitted cocktail dress that clung to his skinny frame like a
second skin before it exploded in a short flaring
Thin satin royal spaghetti straps sat partially concealed beneath a
sea of tumbling brunette barrel curls at each shoulder, as a glimmer
of body glitter sparkled from his collar bones. From the straps,
rounded cups sat double taped atop his padded breasts, giving him cute
little boobs, and the gleam that emitted from the heavily bejeweled
bodice would shine from every angle.
A thick matching satin sash would serve to accentuate his thin waist,
and beneath it wavered the most beautiful short skirt made entirely of
royal tulle. Tiny glitter accents sparkled from within the delicate
fabric, adding to the garment's endless glimmer as he stared down at
his knees beneath sheer hose, amazed that his legs never seemed
longer.
Double buckles would hold his feet inside silver glittery criss
crossed strappy stilettos, and these would be the highest shoe he'd
ever walk in, with a four and one half inch spikey heel. Fuchsia toes
peeked out, adding a pop of color and a silver ankle bracelet further
accented his right foot.
On his right wrist, a thick tennis bracelet would stand out yet be
just one of four silver bracelets looped on him, and perfectly match
the rhinestone teardrop strands that hung from his ears. Around his
neck, a simple v-shaped necklace with the "V" covered in rhinestones
would sit daintily above his cups, and two silver based rings would
grace each hand.
Perfectly accentuating his sparkly jewelry and most girly dress would
be his hair and makeup, as Holly had delivered a dazzling look.
For the first time, big false thick upper lashes batted atop his
thinly racconed eyes, framing his crystal blue pupils. At the outside
of his lids, a hint of a mid-night blue shadow blended into an opal
blue near his lash line and above it a silver glittered shadow would
beam beneath a pearl white inside the arch of his brow. The
tantalizing eye makeup would be only electrified further by a royal
liquid liner just above the jet black liner behind his faux lashes,
and beneath his eyes a shimmery cheek accent radiated above his cheek
bones.
A much darker plum blush now would certainly heighten his normally
subtle cheekbones, and a more bold lip would seemingly change his
face. He was used to wearing a little lip color and even some gloss,
but never like this, as his lips now popped from his face. Natural
they were no more, as Holly over-lined them a touch, accentuating the
natural sweetheart shape with a mauve pencil before filling them in
with a candy apple lip color and high shine gloss.
Behind his flawless face, his hair had been pulled back behind his
forehead and bumped up just slightly, as Mrs. Baxter would allow not a
strand to hide his gorgeous smile. The entire style could not have
looked more perfect for a young girl that would turn heads, as framing
it would be soft chest height curls.
From temple to temple sat a small pouf which turned over about six
inches behind his scalp line like a little mound. Holding the stiff
bump, two criss crossed bobbi pins were expertly hidden before a large
royal bow clip decorated the back of his head.
Holly had kept his hair hanging straight until it almost reached his
shoulders, and then it had been twisted into a series of gorgeous,
thick curls. From his collar bone and down his back past his shoulder
blades, three quarter inch loose ringlets finished off his premier as
a blue eyed wedding date princess, leaving little doubt he'd been
dressed to glisten from head to toe as Gary's most girly girlfriend
for the family wedding.
"How freaking perfect does your hair look with that dress?" Holly
gushed as she came down the stairs. "And the eye makeup? Come on now
Keleigh? Am I good or what?"
"Thanks, I think?" he replied, almost ashamed, staring at her.
"You're welcome," winked Holly, looking at him holding the rail. "What
a color with those blue eyes?"
"I guess?" sighed Lee, still a bit shaken but at least now distracted
by her sheer beauty.
Not that she didn't look stunning before, but now she was in a
glittery silver dress, beaming like it was New Year 's Eve with her
boobs really on display. With her hair up and away from her shoulders,
it would be impossible for any man not to stare at her immense
cleavage, as her obvious perky D-cups rebounded with each and every
traversed stair.
When she reached the bottom they air kissed then hugged like
girlfriends, as for the first time he felt a strain in his panties,
conflicted about whether he ever wanted the hug to end. He fought the
thoughts of becoming rock hard as the two firm mounds pressed against
his dress, doing his best not to think about their grandeur, until
finally he heard Mrs. Baxter's voice call out to the girls and Holly
pulled back away.
She grabbed his hand as they headed out of the house and into the back
of his big S-class Benz on their way to the chapel. Walking in with
the family, he was hugged and kissed by so many he just barely met and
then quickly they took their seats for the ceremony.
With Bart and Gary in their cousins wedding party, he'd be spared any
initial time being pestered by his boyfriend, as instead he'd sit as
one of the girlfriends with Gary's mother in the second row.
Like everyone else, he stood and clapped as each member of the wedding
party walked down the aisle when the wedding began. He got a quick
wink from Gary as he escorted one of his cousin's down the aisle past
them and then just sat quietly behind the groom's family as the
ceremony began.
Lee would stare at his nails and cross and re-cross his legs so many
times, bored during the service as he sat there on his best behavior.
As much as he wanted to check his phone or play a video game, he was
stuck between Rita and Holly, so all he could do was sit quietly as
they whispered across him, critiquing people's outfits and gossiping.
He was a pretty good actor he thought, but crying was never on the
agenda, observing how they went from critical bitches one second to
emotional wrecks the next, passing tissues to each other and involving
him in some drama.
Once the bride kissed the groom, he knew it would be back to being on
duty as the perfect little wedding date, as back up the aisle everyone
went and they followed for family pictures.
He stood outside as the professional photographer took tons of shots
of the family, and then finally when Gary was done, he came over. Lee
could see his face light up as he made eye contact through the crowd
and then next thing he knew he had to turn his cheek as Gary's
enthusiasm almost met his lips head on.
"Hey babe," said Gary, kissing his cheek. "Miss me?"
"Well?" grinned Lee. "If that's what you want me to say? Sure?"
"Don't worry, I know you do and wow, Keleigh!" said Gary, grabbing
both of Lee's hands, looking at him. "You never disappoint, do you?"
"Depends what you'd be disappointed about?" smiled Lee, a little
embarrassed.
"Not a gawd damn thing when I look at you! You look amazing in that
dress," smiled Gary, looking him up and down again and then into his
eyes. "How the hell can you always look so good?"
"Oh I don't know?" said Lee, batting his lashes. "Maybe ask your
mother about that?"
"No, maybe you ask your mother why you weren't born a-" Gary began to
say as Lee covered his mouth.
"Why I wasn't taller right?" smiled Lee, pulling away his hand and
softly patting his friend's face. "But good, think they make heels for
that, so I can reach up and make sure my honey's tongue doesn't get
itself in any trouble."
"Well that it will eventually with you, my girlfreind," grinned Gary,
sliding it around his lips.
"Dream on, lover boy," smiled Lee, squeezing his face and looking
around. "Now calm the hell down please. Your family is like everywhere
here."
"I'm chill, but that is not easy when you look this hot," groaned
Gary, taking his hand.
"Uummm. Thank you?" said Lee, rolling his eyes, knowing Gary had
wiggled his fingers between his. "Now can we get past that please, and
not make this uncomfortable for both of us all night?"
"Yeah but no," smirked Gary, rubbing his thumb. "And I can't put my
finger on it, but I feel like I've seen you before in this dress? Or
is that just me?"
"Before yesterday you've never seen me in any dress before, you
idiot," scolded Lee. "It's just you!"
"Not exactly true, and maybe you should be the one to chill now,"
smiled Gary, pulling him in close. "But I get your point."
"Oh gawddd, you're right?" gulped Lee, leaning in against him and then
dropping his head on his shoulder. "And did you have to remind me?"
"It's ok," said Gary, lifting his arm, squeezing him and then kissing
his forehead as they held each other tightly. "And I'm sorry I did.
You know I...."
"Don't! Please," said Lee, pushing back, holding in some tears and
then kissing his cheek once and then again. "Just don't, and I don't
want to think about any of that ok? It's way behind me now and I want
to leave that in the past."
"I know it is, and I'm still sorry," smiled Gary, lifting his wrist
and kissing it. "Still my girlfriend right?"
"I'm still here, aren't I?" nodded Lee, reaching up and wiping his
lipstick off Gary's cheek. "You may be an insensitive asshole
sometimes, but you're still the best friend anyone could have."
"You too BFF," smiled Gary. "Except just not the insensitive asshole
part ok? That'll I'll keep to myself and I love you Lee."
"You mean Keleigh, right?" winked Lee, elbowing him while daintily
twisting a few curls.
"Well yeah and her even more," laughed Gary, putting his hand on Lee's
waist, looking into his eyes. "Love you Keleigh."
"Fine, she loves you too," said Lee, twisting his neck before shaking
his head and then playfully pushing his hand off his waist, squeezing
it. "But not exactly like that sounded, you jerk! Now you better go
get your sappy ass in the limo, as I see the bridal party getting in
so I'll see you at the reception, ok?"
"Ok," nodded Gary, giving a soft squeeze himself now before letting
go. "Can't wait."
"Wow, what was that about?" said Holly, coming over.
"Oh nothing?" said Lee, giving her a look. "Just catching up?"
"Really? the kid's feet aren't touching the ground?" smirked Holly.
"Sorry I missed it, but that must have been some make out session?"
"Don't even kid about things like that?" said Lee, looking around.
"Rita would freak the fuck out on me?"
"Maybe, but Gary's her little pet, so she'd get over it and I'm
wondering if you didn't know how much longer you yourself could hold
out anyway?" laughed Holly. "But maybe to be on the safe side, freshen
up that lip gloss. If it looks a bit worn so she'll notice that shit
in a heartbeat."
