August 18, 2000, Colorado Springs, Colorado

I woke on Friday morning amused by the dream I’d had...

“Is there anything else I can do for you, Mr. Adams?” she asked with a very enticing smile.

“I suppose that depends,” I replied.

“On?”

“Whether or not you have a second set of sheets.”

She laughed, “I would have thought given the state of the bed, you wouldn’t have much energy left.”

“I’ll take a nap,” I grinned.

“My shift ends at 1:00am; I could bring the sheets then.”

She left, then I quickly stripped off my clothes, got into bed, pulled the fresh top sheet over me, and quickly fell asleep. I awoke to a soft knock at the door, got out of bed, pulled on a robe, and went to open the door.

“I’m Sierra,” she said as I let her into the room.

“Steve,” I replied.

I shut the door and closed the latch, then turned to find Sierra standing in just lacy bra and panties, her housekeeper’s dress crumpled at her feet. She winked, then reached around to unhook her bra, letting it fall away to reveal perfectly round small breasts capped by light brown nipples. She hooked her thumbs in her panties, pulled them down, and stepped out of them, revealing a perfect triangle of black pubic hair.

“You like?” she asked.

“Very much,” I replied, shrugging off my robe.

“I’ve never done this before!” she giggled nervously.

“Flirted with a guest and then come to his room?” I asked, moving to take her hand and lead her to the bedroom.

“No! Had sex! I’m a virgin!”

As my sister always said, I was the luckiest dumb boy in the long and storied history of dumb boys. I helped Sierra into bed, then got in next to her. We kissed, and it was clear she was completely inexperienced.

“Never kissed before?” I asked.

“No. And I want you to have all my firsts!”

I moved so I could suckle her small breasts, which caused Sierra to moan softly, then kissed my way down past her soft, curly pubic hair, and slipped my tongue between her virgin labia. She tasted heavenly, and when I flicked her clit with the tip of my tongue, she came, hard, the first of a continual stream of orgasms from my lips and tongue.

“Please fuck me!” she begged. “Please!”

I moved up, positioned my glans against her dripping labia, and slowly pushed forward. Sierra bucked hard, forcing me through her barrier. She grunted, but wrapped her arms and legs around me and urged me on. A few quick strokes and I was buried deep in an extremely tight, extremely slick, extremely hot pussy. Sierra bucked her hips and urged me.

“Fuck me, Steve!” she demanded breathlessly.

I wasn’t going to deny her, so I spent the next three hours fucking her senseless, getting a sloppy blowjob, taking her third cherry, and then finally fucking her senseless again before we fell asleep in a sweaty heap on the bed.

Fortunately, the crazy dream hadn’t led to a mess in the bed, though I suspected it had been a very close thing, and that only the four orgasms I’d had with Suzanne had prevented it. I used the treadmill in the exercise room, showered, dressed, and met Suzanne at the diner. She greeted me with a kiss and the hostess seated us.

“I had an interesting dream last night,” I said after we’d ordered.

“Oh?”

“When I returned to my room, a very pretty young girl from housekeeping was there changing the sheets on the bed. She flirted, or it certainly felt that way, but I didn’t do anything about what I felt was a clear opening. Anyway, I fell asleep then dreamed that I’d actually taken her up on her offer and she came back at 1:00am, at which time I took all three of her cherries and screwed her silly before we fell asleep.”

“Should I be insulted?” Suzanne asked sillily.

“No! But it is the first dream like that I’ve had in a long, long time, or at least one I remembered.”

“Do you think it’s because you’re feeling off center? And that you need what your wives told me Elyse prescribed for your mental health?”

“I’d say there’s a real chance that the dream was a result of the off-center feeling, and if you paid THAT close attention in Chicago, then I’m even more sure that you’re the right girl than I was before, and I was damned sure before!”

“So, you need a horny young virgin to get you back on kilter, is that it?”

I chuckled, “That would be the prescription Elyse would give, yes. But to be honest, I don’t think that’s it. I think what I need is just to get used to the changes, which arrived in a cluster.”

“I would think you’ve had some pretty big changes in your life in the past, how did you deal with them?”

“Self-medication along the lines you suggested, but I don’t feel the same way I used to. I think it’s because my bipolar disorder is reasonably under control, and that what I’m feeling is the normal reaction to stress most people have, rather than my enhanced reaction. I had a couple of really calm years when my condition was controlled, and now I’m having a bit of stress. We haven’t mentioned the lawsuit I told you about, either.”

“I thought your sister and Liz were handling that.”

“They are, but I still stress about it, not to mention the plaintiffs are a group of assholes who stole our software a decade ago.”

“That sounds like it’s enough to put anyone on edge. Perhaps you ARE centered and balanced, and this is just normal stress?”

“That’s possible, obviously.”

“Then let’s eat and I can provide some excellent stress relief!”

“That and a sauna would be good right about now, but I can do the sauna tonight at home.”

“How long does it take to get from your house to Loyola?”

“If you take the CTA, a little over an hour, including walking time. Driving, if you took LSD, would be about forty-five minutes door to door. That’s what I would suggest because it gives you more flexibility.”

“LSD?”

“Sorry. That’s ‘Lake Shore Drive’. I think a disc jockey coined the term ‘LSD’, but it could also be from the song Lake Shore Drive by the Chicago-based rock group Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah. I never actually looked into it. It’s actually a pretty easy drive, especially after a couple of reconstruction projects in the last ten years. If you avoid rush hour, the trip can be even faster.”

“I can handle that. Living with you will be WAY better than living in the dorms, especially if I spend a lot of time at the house, which I think we both want.”

“I agree, but remember, you need to complete your undergrad degree and law school, and those have to be priorities.”

“You’re close to UofC, right?”

“Easy walking distance,” I said.

“And they have one of the top law schools in the country, right?”

“Yes. And it’s extremely difficult to get in.”

“For mere mortals, perhaps! And Dad can afford it. I’m sure you at least had a hint of the compensation at his firm.”

I chuckled, “Yeah, Eduardo told me. Associates make about $250K their first year, and it goes up from there, with partners making at least a million bucks. I’ll say he can afford it!”

“Then I’m going to apply to UofC for undergrad as well. I’ll still apply to Loyola and Northwestern as planned.”

“Then your ‘commute’ is about fifteen minutes by foot, if you have to go to the far side of the campus. Parking is a bit of a pain, but you’ll be able to use the dojo parking lot which is about five minutes away. Winter has a reserved spot there, which you’ll be able to take over.”

“Won’t she still need to drive to the house?”

“Yes, but I was more concerned about overnight parking. The only time the dojo lot is really used is in the evening or on Saturday morning. The noon class is mostly UofC students, who walk. The afterschool class is mostly neighborhood kids who also walk. We walk, even on the coldest winter days. And you know Kara and I walk to get Jess nearly every Saturday and Sunday, unless it’s so cold she elects to drive or it’s pouring rain.”

“I think we have a plan,” Suzanne said with a big smile. “I have to thank whichever god arranged for me to have the seat next to you on that flight back from Chicago.”

“Thank him, her, it, or them for me as well!”

“If there IS a god, it has to be a guy, and probably a committee of guys,” Suzanne smirked. “Would a woman mess the world up this badly?”

“If it was my mom? Yes! Changing subjects back to Chicago, do you know when you’ll be in town at Christmas?”

“I fly out on the afternoon of the 23rd and I’ll be there through New Year’s day afternoon.”

“You’re welcome at the house whenever you can reasonably be away from your dad, step-mom, and step-sister.”

“I have to be at my dad’s house Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but otherwise I’m free.”

“Cool. We have a New Year’s Eve party at the house, and you’re obviously invited. Our extended family Christmas celebration is on the 25th. On Boxing Day all the grandparents usually show up, so it’s a complete zoo.”

“Circus,” she corrected.

I chuckled, “Usually I’m the one who corrects people when they get it wrong.”

“NIKA is the zoo; home is Cirque du Steve, though it should be Cirque DE Steve if you want the French to be correct.”

“You’re the second person to tell me that in the last couple of weeks. The thing is, the ‘du’ was coined by my friend Jorge who died several years ago at the hands of a drunk driver, and the moniker has stuck.”

“Then Cirque du Steve it is.”

The waitress brought our food and we began eating. Given our desire to get back to the hotel, we ate quickly and didn’t talk much, and once we finished eating, I paid the check and we hurried across the street to spend four hours in bed.

August 18, 2000, Chicago, Illinois

“What did you think, Jesse?” Cynthia asked as she snuggled close after we’d done it ‘doggie style’.

“It was OK, but I like it better either with me on top or you on top facing me.”

“Me, too, though I liked it better when you were sitting up than when you were lying down when I was on top. But I think we have a dozen more positions to try, so maybe one of them will be better.”

“Do you like ‘sixty-nine’?”

“Oh God, yes! I came really hard when you had your tongue in me and your cum squirted into my mouth! You liked it, right?”

“Do I LOOK dumb?” I asked with a grin.

“Seriously, though.”

“Yes. I like licking you, a lot. And I absolutely like you sucking me!”

“Can I ask you something?”

“What?”

“What would you think about tying each other up? Do you want to try? At least once? Just to see what it’s like?”

“We could, I guess. You want to?”

“I want to try it. Could you find something we could use that wouldn’t hurt?”

“Maybe I could borrow some karate belts from my sister. Those would work, I think.”

“So you’ll try it?”

“Sure,” I replied, though I was a bit uncomfortable with the idea.

“Can I ask you something else?”

“Now I’m afraid!”

Cynthia laughed, “It’s nothing terrible! Do you know Libby Carmichael?”

“Sure. She’s in our class.”

“What do you think about her?”

“I don’t know. I’ve seen her with you a few times, but otherwise she mostly hangs out with Sarah and Keisha. Why?”

“Would you try a threesome with her?”

“Oh, right, she’s just going to get into bed with us,” I said, shaking my head. “I barely know her!”

“She wants to,” Cynthia said.

“And how do you know that?!” I demanded, sitting up.

“Because she told me!”

“And how does she know we’re having sex?” I asked crossly.

“She’s the only person I told! But I needed to tell SOMEONE! She won’t say anything. She was jealous and said she wished she could do it with you. I said I’d ask, but we’d have to all do it together.”

“You shouldn’t have done that without talking to me first” I declared, trying to keep my voice calm despite the fact that I was supremely annoyed.

“Sorry,” Cynthia said meekly. “You’re right. But she wants to. And Jesse, she’s a virgin so you’d get her cherry.”

I almost laughed, because that WAS an enticement. As dumb as it sounded, I liked the idea of teaching a girl about sex. Dad had once said that he liked that, and for some odd reason, I did, too. I liked experimenting with Cynthia, but I was still worried about things getting out of control, and having a threesome sure seemed like a surefire way for that to happen. But I also was curious.

“I don’t know,” I replied. “And before I even think about it, she’d have to have a test and be on birth control.”

“I’m sure she would. I promise that I won’t talk to anyone else, but I wanted to try it. And I don’t think inviting another guy is smart, because I totally trust you, but I’m not sure about some other guy.”

Being in bed with another guy would be more than a bit weird, and I wasn’t sure I’d do that, though a second girl might be OK.

“Maybe,” I said. “Can I think about it?”

“Sure. I’ll tell her to go to the clinic, but I won’t promise anything will happen. And it would be over a month away, anyway, because of how long you have to take the Pill. That gives us time to try the other positions and experiment with tying each other up.”

“OK, so long as you make no promises.”

“No promises. Ready to fuck my brains out?”

“Yes!”

“DAD!” Birgit squealed as I came in the door.

She jumped into my arms and I hugged her tightly, and exchanged a kiss on her forehead for a kiss on my cheek. The greetings from her siblings were a bit more subdued, and Jessica and I exchanged a soft kiss before going upstairs so I could shower and change into comfortable clothes.

“How was Colorado?” Jessica asked as I got into the shower.

“Just fine,” I replied, smiling as Jessica stepped into the shower with me. “Miss me?”

“I have one last night with you to myself and I’m not going to waste a single second of it!”

“Our daughters might have something to say about that,” I replied.

“I suppose they can have their cuddles,” Jessica said grudgingly as she soaped my body. “How is Suzanne?”

“Good. We had a couple of really good talks, and I offered her Winter’s room.”

“She’s planning on Loyola or Northwestern, right?”

“UofC, if she’s going to live here. Her dad will be OK with that.”

“The school or her living here?”

“She intended to explain everything to him in December. She seems to think he’s mellow enough to handle it.”

“As if there is a dad on this planet who would be mellow enough for his daughter to become a «cortigiana onesta»!”

“Me,” I replied. “You know I can’t be hypocritical about that, given my arrangements with Maria Cristina and now with Suzanne.”

“OK, besides you!”

“We’ll see. She’ll be eighteen in November, so in one sense it’s not up to him. But obviously a strained relationship is not a good thing. But I have to leave it up to her. By the way, I do want some time in the sauna tonight.”

“You say that like you need it.”

“I do. I think I’m suffering from a bit of stress due to all the changes. When I was talking to Suzanne this morning, I wondered aloud if maybe I was feeling what ‘normal’ people feel when they experience stress.”

“No signs of mania?”

I shook my head, “No. I even joked with Suzanne about Elyse’s prescription, but to be honest, I don’t feel the way I did in the past. Honestly, everything seems fine, except I feel a bit stressed.”

“I think the bigger concern is that it’s a year before we have our new ‘third’ here, if that’s what Suzanne is going to be.”

“I’d say, based on everything she and I talked about, and everything that happened, I’m even more confident that she’s the right one.”

“How do we reduce your stress?”

“Part of it, and please don’t take this the wrong way, will be Kara coming home.”

“I miss her too, Tiger. Don’t take me enjoying having you to myself for wanting that as a permanent situation. I need Kara just as much as you do, and maybe more.”

“It’s three-way,” I replied “We all need each other and none of us is complete without the other two. That was the issue when we were estranged, and it’s affecting us now, even if you enjoy having me to yourself. Well, and sharing me with three little girls!”

“Sauna after they go to bed?”

“Yes. And I promise to do anything you want, any way you want, anywhere you want, if you let me have my thirty minutes of relaxation in the sauna.”

“Deal!” she exclaimed gleefully.

After Cynthia left, I washed my sheets and cleaned my room. Mom Two got home from work just before I had to leave for my date with Kelly.

“What are you guys doing tonight, Jesse?” Mom Two asked.

“Dinner at the diner by the hospital, and then a movie at UofC.”

“What’s playing?”

“They’re showing U.S. Marshals. It wasn’t as good as The Fugitive, but it was still good. Kelly hasn’t seen it.”

“What time will you be home?”

“About 10:00pm. I have to walk Kelly home.”

“See you then.”

I hugged Mom Two and left the house. Mom One was just pulling into the driveway, to I stopped to hug her and let her know where I was going, then walked down the alley to Kelly’s house. She answered the door, called ‘goodbye’ to her mom, and then she and I headed towards the diner by the ER.

“You’re spending an awful lot of time with Cynthia,” Kelly said as we walked south on Woodlawn Avenue.

“She likes to play video games,” I replied carefully. “My two brothers aren’t around except on weekends, so I need someone to play with. Mikey lives too far away, and Nicholas spends lots of time with my little sister or with Albert and Uncle Dave’s kids because they’re all in Scouts.”

Summering in Femininity Part 7 To Sleepover Perchance to Dream

Author's Note: Just wanted to make another note to thank everyone for the kind reviews, and to inform everyone that if they're hankering for more, I've been experimenting with TG captions over on DeviantArt (I'm vthunder42 over there) so if you're interested, go check those out. After telling Aunt Agnes of what he'd agreed to, and her customary shaking of her head at Taylor's predicament, Taylor was soon standing in front of Emily's house carrying a small overnight bag, which...

PerchanceTo Dream

Two strangers, two lives, intertwined by the strangest of circumstances, chance perhaps, destiny certain. This is their tale… I’d lived in New York City all my life, the hustle, the bustle as much a part of me as the blood that ran through my veins. Mostly, I had let the city pass me by, content to observe rather than to partake, at least until now. I know not why I found myself in Central Park that day, only that the desire to do something, anything to keep my life from continuing down the...

Perchance To Dream Pt 1

Today was shaping up to be like most any other Thursday; pretty boring. My daughter Alice turned twenty one today and, despite promising me that she and I would go get her first legal cocktail together, she went out after work with her new friends from the law firm.  She just started interning a month ago, but seemed to have already made many friends. I'm proud of her for that, but still, I wanted to buy her first drink!Since it was about 4:30 in the afternoon, I figured my wife Suzie had...

Summering in Femininity Part 8 To Sleepover Perchance to Dream Continued

Taylor quickly made his way back to Emily's room where he removed all the cotton balls from his toes and he and Emily took turns peeling their mud masks off. Taylor scrutinized his face in the mirror as he checked for any remaining bits of mask. "Look at that! We're glowing!" Emily smiled as she put her arm around Taylor. Taylor didn't know enough about skincare to dispute her claim. Once they were done, Emily put on some pop music and pulled out her laptop. Motioning for Taylor to...

Perchance to Dream

She was driving home from the Doctor’s appointment; steering with her right hand while her left rested on her stomach. She was thinking of the future and her husband as she approached the intersection. The light was green her way and had been for a bit as the stopped traffic had cleared out. She was half way through the intersection when the street racer, who was trying to out run the police, hit her broadside. He awoke from the dream, covered in sweat and shaking. Scrubbing his hands over...

Perchance to Dream

Jenny was practically vibrating she was so excited. She’d been dating Eric for a little over a year. He was the one … She was sure of it. On the anniversary of their first date, he showed up at her office dressed in the exact clothes he had been wearing that night. They went to the same restaurant, ordered the same meal. Back at his place, he’d rented the movie they had gone to see. Everything was perfect. It was more than perfect, because this time they made love on the soft shag rug in...

Perchance to Dream

"You want us to watch Shannon until the fireworks are over, and then to bring her home?" Ryan Cameron didn't really have a question about what Rev. Powell wanted; he just needed a minute to consider the consequences. It was Saturday, July 4, and the fireworks were scheduled for later that night. "Oh could I, Mr. Cameron?" Shannon Powell begged. "I would appreciate it," Rev. Powell said. "I don't have to read my sermon from the pulpit, but I do have to write it down. And today I've...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

Perchance To Dream Pt 4

“Jim, I’ll see you in a few days. Okay? Honey?” “Yeah,” I responded to Mel. “Of course, babe. I was just… just missing you already!” I forced a smile and a small laugh. I watched Mel as she walked away from me towards the elevator of my hotel. She valet parked, so there wasn’t any reason for me to follow her downstairs. She gave me a smile and a little wave as she stepped into the elevator car. Reluctantly, I stepped back into my hotel room. God, I hate this place. But,...

Perchance to DreamChapter 3

The first half of this summer’s interns arrived in late May. We met them Monday morning, shaking hands as we moved through the much larger than normal group. The first half of the interns was more than we had in total last summer. Of course, we also had a lot more work to do. I noticed a timid-looking young Hispanic woman near the back of the group as we approached. When I neared her, she genuflected to one knee. “Holy Shaman Parker,” she said reverently in Mayan, her voice quivering with...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 9 KamiChapter 13 California Dreaming

October 10, 1995, Los Angeles, California I’d taken a mid-afternoon flight and arrived at the InterContinental Hotel just after 6:00pm. I checked into my suite, took a quick shower, then walked to California Plaza to get a salad for dinner. I got it ‘to go’ and sat at a table near the large fountain so I could watch the cool water show. “Hi!” a familiar voice called from behind me. I chuckled, and turned, “Hi, Jasmine! Join me?” “Sure!” “I didn’t expect to see you until tomorrow.” “I...

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 54 Westward Bound Or is it Eastward

June 15, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “That’s everything, I think,” I said. “My luggage is in the trunk of the car, I have my passport, tickets, and money, both dollars and yen. I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! I did see that on the front page of the Trib. Are we ready?” “Michelle and...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 5 Housemates

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. Both of us would start school in a week and we were both looking forward to it. When we finished talking, I went out for my run, showered, and ate breakfast. I made some tea, started a load of laundry, and then turned on the stereo. I put on an REO Speedwagon album and then relaxed on the couch with the...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 63 Back to Work

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. Your guess is as good as anyone’s right about now.” “Steve, do you have a minute?”...

October 19, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “You skaters need to score today!” I said to Mia when I sat down next to her on the bus which would take us to our game against Brother Rice, one of the better teams in the city. “Did you hear that, Kenny?” she asked. He was sitting in front of us with Blake. “She’s right,” Blake said. “Rice always gets lots of shots off and one goal will not be enough!” “Jesse could just have a shutout!” Kenny countered. “Rice hasn’t been shut out in forever!” Mia...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 36 My Lifes Journey

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 4 Calm Before the Storm

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

July, 1982, Milford, Ohio I woke up early on Friday morning to make breakfast for Kara and her mom before she went to work. Mrs. Blanchard was surprised, but very pleased. After her mom left for work, Kara gave me a fierce kiss. “Thanks for staying in and cooking breakfast for us,” Kara said. “I hope that doesn’t cause you trouble with Stephanie, with you breaking your normal routine.” “Don’t worry about it,” I said, kissing her back. “We got in a bit later than I expected, and she’ll...

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois After Rosie left, I stripped the sheets from my bed, as well as the cover of the duvet, and tossed everything into the washing machine. I lit a lavender candle in the room, and then swept and dusted. I did a quick spot-check of the rest of the house and noticed that the tub in the sauna needed to be cleaned. I scrubbed it, then mopped the sauna floor with a damp sponge mop. I finished cleaning the sauna about the time the washing machine finished, so I moved...

May 26, 1991, Iron Mountain, Michigan “Shall we see if we can find a farm?” I asked at breakfast on Sunday morning. “That sounds like a great idea,” Jessica said. “There’s a visitor’s bureau in town,” Kara said. “I saw it when we were here the first time.” “I’m sorry I ruined that vacation,” Jessica said. “Ruined?” I protested. “Are you kidding? Getting you back was way more important than a few days of vacation!” “I agree,” Kara added. “Jess, you know exactly how bad off Steve was...

The Book of Dreams

The Book of Dreams Last night, I dreamed of a black horse. Upon waking, I lookedin the dictionary of dreams I keep in my bedside table, to see if thereis any significance to this particular night time vision. It seems a dreamof a black horse is a dream of passion. Considering all that has happenedin the past weeks, I am not surprised. Chapter 1: The Marriage It started a few weeks ago ? at least it was a few weeks for me. History itselfhas stretched itself thin in that time so that I must...

A WellLived Life Book 9 AnalaChapter 59 New Friends

August, 1984, Chicago, Illinois The rest of the week proceeded as expected - class on Wednesday, as well as the usual visit from Penny, work on Thursday, and class on Friday. Kara and I had lunch together at IIT, Sofia practiced her driving and parking, and I hung out with Mark Agnini after class for beers. Staci and I got into a couple of interesting debates about the Old Testament that Mark had to break up to allow others in the class to participate. She was very much of the ‘directly...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 7 Reaching the Peak

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. With our expansion, it was in more or less regular use, and that meant I didn’t have access to it as often as I would have liked. I was glad there had been a delay in...

Home for Horny Monsters Book FourChapter 3 Girl of My Dreams

Mike yawned, covering his mouth, then set his book down on the cart. It was dangerously full, and he knew that Sofia would ream him out if he just kept cramming books onto it. “Can you take this to the platform?” he asked Death. “Yes I can, Mike Radley.” The grim reaper grabbed the cart with bony hands and pushed it down the corridor, the wheels squeaking softly. Mike rubbed his eyes and yawned again, then checked his phone. He had no signal in the Library, but all he wanted was to see the...

We have an 11:00am flight. Assuming all goes well, we’ll be in the office by 3:00pm Pacific time. We’ll spend a couple hours going over the software then go to dinner. The demo is tomorrow. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

July 22, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “Albert, do you have everything packed?” Mom asked. “Yes, Mom!” I replied, rolling my eyes because she’d asked before I went to bed. “He’ll be fine, Babe,” Dad said. “Let’s walk to the hospital.” I usually didn’t get up early, but Dad had suggested it would help Mom if I walked to the hospital with her because I was leaving to see Jane for three weeks. Katya found the information for me when I asked her to look into several things about Brandon Littleton, Kevin Lomax, and John Milton.” “Do you know more about him?” “A LOT more. “So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...
