The six weeks that followed from Terry moving in continued like their first week together.
Terry had acquired two recumbent-cycles. She had tied a board under his left pedal to the right one on her cycle so that when she pedalled, it also moved his pedals. The house was about a full step off the ground, so Tom had placed long ramps at each doorway so Dale could get into and out of the house. Tom even added a rail down the hallway and one along the wall to the kitchen, Dale could use the rails to get himself from his office, on his modified office wheelie-chair, to most of the other rooms in the house, with little effort.
When Dale had first moved into the house, the master bedroom had an old-fashioned four-poster king-sized waterbed in it. It required dismantling to move it, and the previous owner hadn’t bothered.
