When we returned to our house shortly after midnight on New Year's day, Suenee seemed very distracted. I was sitting on the bed when Suenee came over to me.

"Can we do something different tonight," she asked, but seemed worried.

"Sure. What would you like to do?" I asked.

"I ... I have been talking to some of the younger women, the ones that work in the bars," she said nervously. "They have told me that it is not a big thing to do."

"What is?" I asked, confused.

"Smoking," she answered in embarrassment.

"Smoking? Do you mean cigarettes?" I asked.

"Noo," she answered even more nervous and embarrassed. "Your thing in my mouth." I suddenly realized that she was talking about a blowjob.

"I thought you couldn't do that," I said.

"No, not when I first met you, but the young girls told me how much the men like it and showed me how to do it."

"At the Wat?" I asked, shocked.

"No, we could not even talk about it at the Wat. It was at one of their houses. They used a banana to demonstrate," she told me. "I ate three bananas."

"And you want to try it tonight?" I asked.

"Yes, as a New Year present," she answered, looking at the floor.

"All right, if you don't mind," I answered. Suenee had me stand and remove my pants after which I sat back down on the bed.

"Do you want me to lie down? I asked.

"No, sitting is fine," she told me, as she went to her knees and moved up between my spread legs. She had a wet wash cloth and cleaned my cock, which had grown hard at just the thought of her sucking on it.

Suenee leaned in after that and took a couple of tentative licks on my cock. This was followed by more licks from her tongue before she took the head in her mouth and sucked on it very softly, as if to see how it worked. I was getting more and more excited with every passing second. Suenee soon started taking more of my cock in her mouth and sucking harder.

Oh God, it felt good, and I knew that I couldn't take much more of this. I had had blowjobs before and liked them, but I had never had one from the woman I loved and who was carrying my child. I just couldn't stand it any more, and warned Suenee, "I'm going to cum."

Suenee manage to nod her head just before my nuts started pumping a huge amount of cum up my enlarged cock and into Suenee's mouth. She sputtered and choked on it but managed to swallow most of it. I had collapsed on the bed.

"So much," she said, as she joined me on the bed still licking up the residue.

"OH, Suenee!! That was fantastic! You are fantastic!" I told her and kissed her, cum or no. We kissed and cuddled for a while after that while I recovered.

When I was better, I moved from her face to her breasts and nipples, and sucked and nibbled on them for a while before moving down to her enlarged belly and paying attention to it. Finally I moved down to her mound and the slit below it. Suenee had pushed me away for a minute.

"Let me do this for you," I asked.

"It isn't right," she answered, but was already wiggling from my breath on her pussy lips. I leaned in and licked her from bottom to top. All resistance stopped, and I continued my assault on her pussy and clit. Suenee was soon screaming from my tongue's assault on her. After a couple of orgasms she begged me to stop.

"No more for now," she begged later and pulled me up her body to kiss my lips and taste herself on them. Later still we made love for a long time before falling asleep for the rest of the night. I was a little tired the next morning, but felt just great.

My Thai lessons with Luang had continued all of this time and I was getting fairly good in Thai, at least the way it was spoken here around Udorn. I had also learned quite a lot about Thai history and culture from him. One item in particular that got my interest was the fact that in 1962 the US Marines had used the area where our camp was. They had called it 'Camp Cobra" at the time because of the numerous snakes of that persuasion in the area.

The Marines had been there then because of the instability in Southern or Lower Laos due to the Communists trying to take over the government. The fighting was still going on in Lower Laos and sometimes spilled over in to the Thai portion of Laos. The Marines were the ones that had the large concrete pad poured that our Operations center sat on.

Work at the 7th had of course continued through out all of the holidays. Schedules had been rearranged so that some people could be off at all times. Those not off were working longer hours to make up for it, but everyone was rotated through the schedule to get time off during the holiday period. There was some complaining, but not much as everyone liked the time off. Some people just didn't like the period when they were off. I didn't get that much extra time off being the only one that could operate my radio.

One thing that I had noticed lately was the increase in large truck traffic when I went to work and came home. It was well into the dry season now and the large trucks loaded with logs were now more numerous on the roads delivering their cargo to the lumber mill a couple of miles down the road from Nong Soong. Quite a few of the men from the village worked there.

Luang told me that it was easier to get the logs out of the forest now that it was dryer. He said the mill would be very busy until late in the summer when the heavy rains returned and the logs were more difficult to get out. Then they could work on any backlog to clear it out.

Following the holidays everyone went back on their normal schedule, and John was still working with me. We seemed to make a good team and no one messed with us. SFC Wilson had plenty of other worries to keep him busy.

There seemed to be a renewal of activities on the air waves in January, as we were recording more intercepts, especially between the Vietnamese internally, and the Vietnamese and the Chinese. It seems there had been another "accident" at Attapu.

Chinese New Year this year, 1967, fell on Thursday 9 February. It was the year of the Ram. Chinese New Year is one of the biggest celebrations not just in Thailand, but all over Southeast Asia. Bangkok is practically shut down for several days at this time, as are many other cities in Thailand and across Southeast Asia. Everyone celebrates for a couple of days at least. There is much eating and of course drinking. Presents are exchanged between parents and children somewhat like our Christmas.

Suenee and I spent the night of the 8th to the morning of the 9th with Luang and his family at a large restaurant in Udorn. I only had a few beers to drink, as I needed to be at work on the morning of the 9th and knew that I would be tired all day. We all had a grand celebration that night. It would continue for several days after that without us. Suenee and I managed to get home by 0330 hrs in the morning and I got four hours of sleep before getting up for work. I was not in good shape, but would make it.

It was mid-morning two days later, Saturday the 11th of February, when I was summoned to the Colonel's office again. I was wondering what was going on now.

"Just go on in," the Sergeant Major said when I arrived there.

You can imagine my surprise when who do I see sitting in there with the Colonel but MSG Sawyer.

"Come in, Sergeant Baker," the Colonel said as I hesitated at the door in shock. I marched up to his desk, but before I could salute he said, "There is no need to report, Sergeant. You aren't here for that," he told me.

"I take it that you know Master Sergeant Sawyer?" he asked next.

"Yes, sir. We were together in Cambodia."

"So he told me while we were waiting for you to arrive," the Colonel said. "He has some new assignment orders for you. I'm sorry to be losing you, but I have to assume that the people at USARPAC know more about things than we do here. Good luck on your new assignment. It's been interesting having you here."

"Thank you, sir," I managed to get out, still in shock. The Colonel came around his desk and shook my hand and then Sawyer's. In a minute or so we were out of his office.

"Well, Baker," Sawyer said, "I see congratulations are in order. When did you pick up the extra stripe?"

"When I was in Bangkok," I answered. "Do you have any idea who put me in for it?"

"No. I was surprised when I got your orders and saw your rank on them. That was after the surprise that you were assigned to me again," he told me. My amulet warmed up for a short time then.

"Oh, yes," he added after a few seconds, "I have some other paperwork for you also. They gave it to me with your orders. Your Command Sponsorship has been approved. Now that you are assigned to the 46th Group, they'll adjust your payments to the Lop Buri area. The 46th Group Headquarters personnel are authorized to have dependents there. Technically you're assigned there and TDY to me and my team."

"Your Team?" I asked.

"Yes, we're advisers to the Thai Army in Luang Phrabang. They are having a little problem with the Vietnamese and the TC / Pathet Lao. We'll be advising and supporting them."

"We?" I asked.

"Yes, our team. Your friend Tweed is on it along with several others that you haven't met yet. For now though, you need to clear this place. Here are your orders and clearance papers. I have a jeep for any traveling you may need to do. Also, how is that lovely wife of yours?" he finished.

My head was reeling at this point. Another move! We had only been here a little over three months. Just, damn! Suenee was not going to be happy. The Sergeant Major interrupted us while I was thinking.

"Baker, you need to pull your radio out of the van. They're assigning a new man to take your place after lunch today. You can leave the shipping container in Operations until you are ready to leave. Everything is pretty much closed down for the weekend, so you won't be able to start clearing until Monday morning.

"Once your radio is stowed, just take off till Monday. You've certainly done enough here to deserve the time off," he finished.

"Thank you, Sergeant Major," I said, as I began to come to grips with what needed to be done.

"I need to go back to Operations and remove and store the radio in the shipping container," I told Sawyer. "You won't be able to get in as you don't have a badge. Do you want to wait for me or do you have something else to do?"

"I'll just wait. I'll drive you over there and wait outside. Do you have any clothes or anything here to pack?"

"Yes, but I can do that tomorrow or Monday," I told him.

"OK, Let's go."

On arriving back at the Operations area, I went in to the office to see SFC Wilson.

"What did they want?" he asked.

"I'm leaving," I told him and showed him the orders and the clearance papers.

"Damn," was his comment.

"I'll be removing the radio in a few minutes. The Sergeant Major said that a new man would be here to replace me after lunch."

"Shit, that means we need another radio!" he said, getting up. "I better check with maintenance."

"What's up?" John asked, as I reentered the van.

"I'm leaving. Going to Luang Phrabang," I told him.

"Is there a radio site there?" he asked.

"No. I'm going with Special Forces."

"Again!!" he asked.

"Yes, again. It seems like all I do is move," I told him, somewhat frustrated.

"What about your wife?" John asked.

"I don't know yet," I answered, as I started pulling the radio out of the rack system and disconnecting it. I had brought the shipping container from where it was stored in the Operations security cage with me.

"Damn, Bill. I sure am going to miss you. We spent a lot of hours here together," John said.

"Yes, a lot of hours," I answered.

I was packing the radio and modules in the shipping container when Wilson and a guy from maintenance came up with a 390A between them.

"It's the damnedest thing I've ever seen," the maintenance guy was saying. "This thing has been stone cold dead since you brought it in and fifteen minutes ago it comes to life like the Second Coming."

"Baker," Wilson called, "this is the radio that went bad before. It's working like a charm now. Damnedest thing Charlie or I ever saw."

"Go ahead and install it. All of my stuff is out of there," I informed them, as I closed and locked the shipping container. They helped me get it back on the hand truck first and I returned it to its place in the Operations security cage before rejoining Sawyer out in the jeep. He headed for the front gate.

The Amulets of Power III the Kennedy Wars Part 2Chapter 16

Wednesday the first of March 1967 dawned the same as every other day had. I spent the early morning hours after breakfast straightening up the radio room. It was something I had been putting off since the Teams had left on Friday, but I had decided to get it done this morning. About 1000 hrs 'the Radio' came to life all on its own for no apparent reason. "Any station, any station, this is Cowboy Tango 1 Alpha, over," I heard immediately. In my hurry to get to the radio, I tripped on a...

The Amulets of Power III the Kennedy Wars Part 2Chapter 8

The rest of the morning was pretty dull with only a few good bits of conversations to be captured. It wasn't until after lunch that we picked up the Attapu station again. John went to get Ernie while I recorded it. There was shouting again at both ends of the transmission. Ernie was laughing his ass off after he came in. They finally signed off, and Ernie eventually managed to stop laughing enough to talk to us. "What the hell is so funny?" John asked, as he turned from his receiver to...

Fields dropped me off at Ploenchit Road and continued back to the Team House, while I walked the few blocks to the Nana. I was soaked when I got there from Bangkok's heat and humidity. The air conditioning in the lobby felt really great. I went up to the room where I found Suenee talking to two of the women who worked at the hotel. The women left just after I arrived and Suenee took one look at me and said, "Shower." I knew better than to argue by now and collected my other clothes and...

Soon the only ones left there in the mess hall were the CO, Sawyer, Barlow, Morris and me. We all had a second beer. “What the hell is causing these ‘Ammunition Malfunctions’, as everyone is calling them?” the CO asked of no one in particular. “Sir, it has to be sabotage. That much explosive just doesn’t go off by itself. Even if someone were careless, it wouldn’t set off everything like that and apparently at the same time. The trip from Bangkok back to Korat is about 260 km, more or less by road. We pulled out of Seri Court just after 0830 and made good time once we got out past Don Mung airport. We took the turn to Sara Buri and headed up Friendship Highway. I had a much better view of the trip from the elevated cab of the deuce and a-half then I had had from the pickup truck coming the other way. It was shortly after passing Sara Buri and before we reached the climb to the Korat plateau that I started to...

This morning I shaved before going to eat, as I knew that Phillips had started the water heating after getting off guard and it would be hot by now. Also the cook had just arrived as I was getting off guard, and breakfast wouldn't be ready for a little while yet. It was nearly sundown when I heard the commotion coming from the front gate and went out to see what it was. The three Chiefs had returned with the holy man. He was an older man dressed as a Buddhist monk, but his rob was very faded and worn, and he seemed very agitated about something, as they came through the front gate. “What’s up?” I asked Tweed, as I walked up to him. “Don’t know yet. The unauthorized patrol returned just before sundown. They had two wounded with them and three extra weapons. "Doc" Walls was ecstatic. He finally had some real wounds to treat and not just the usual run of boils, bites, fevers, sprains and malaria that he saw here. KennedyChapter 11 Kennedys Ruby Tuesday

As Kennedy was finishing up with her racing scull, she heard a funny, startled sound from Deb and turned to see what it was. A man was standing a few feet inside the door of the boat house, watching the two of them. At least, Kennedy thought, it wasn't Agent Larkin. "Uncle Ferinc!" Deb said, obviously upset. "Niece, please go busy yourself elsewhere for a time. I will talk to you after lunch." Kennedy wasn't sure how old he was. He looked at times to be older than her father, other...

The sex would follow her mood in the rest of the world. If she got into an argument with someone, I’d get turned on because I knew she’d take that out on me later. Then there was her work in the porn industry. That was both a source of horniness and frustration for her. It was a big source of frustration for her as it was a male dominated world, where the girl’s opinions are neither solicited or heard. The girls are just assets to be used as the men want. During the meal Chanthra insisted that we change clothes before going to Wat Sala Loy. "Our clothing is wet from sweating and would not be appropriate for a visit to the Wat. It would also be best if we ride...

The Amulets of Power V A New BeginningChapter 2

Back out on the village street, we continued toward the Wat, as the sun was close to setting. We reached the masonry walls around the Wat while the sun was still visible, making it about 1815 hrs. The walls had been painted or whitewashed at some time in the past, but portions of the paint was now peeling. There were gardens of various types of vegetables on both sides of the Wat and presumably behind it also, which were tended by the monks. We passed through the gate into the Wat and looked...

The Amulets of Power IV the Burma ConflictChapter 11

During the formation, MSG Sorenson checked everyone’s uniform and medals before the Major appeared, and he reported to him that everyone was present. The Major had a few words for us before we prepared to leave for the Airbase. “Nawng-awn should be a peaceful place. However, we will carry our weapons and six magazines of ammunition each just in case it isn’t as peaceful as it is supposed to be. We’ll be leaving for the Team House to draw weapons right after the formation.” He then turned the...

The Amulets of Power IV the Burma ConflictChapter 26

Friday morning, it was late before we got up and took Lesia to breakfast. Tweed, Phesila, and Dang were having breakfast when we arrived at the small restaurant near the hotel. We didn’t see anything of the Starlings until that afternoon. This morning there had been a notice on the bulletin board that there would be a formation at 1400 for both A-Teams. We didn’t have any shopping or touring to do, and just stayed in our rooms. Our daughters played together some and after lunch both took a...

The Amulets of Power V A New BeginningChapter 4

"Must you wear the guns here in town?" Chanthra asked looking at me with a frown on her face. That stopped me dead in my tracks. I had never considered not wearing them. Having a weapon at hand had become a way of life for me over the last nineteen plus years that I had been in the Army. It had been reinforced significantly in Korea during the war, and became a way of life when I joined Special Forces a short time after leaving Korea. "Is it necessary, my Champion Mike?" she asked again...

The Amulets of Power IV the Burma ConflictChapter 12

At home that evening, I gave Tweed a general outline of what went on during our meeting with Colonel Page. I didn't disclose what was in the letter or who it was from, as the Major had asked me not to. "So what did you do all day besides wait for us to get back?" I asked, as I finished my explanation. "Oh, I spent some very informative time with Sergeant Daniels. I originally went to see him to find out what he might have of local interest. I got more than I bargained for," Tweed told...

"Sergeant Baker, you and Sergeant Tweed see me immediately after we all check in!" the Major said in a strained voice when he had recovered from the sight of Suenee and Phesila standing outside the hotel with our children. Captain Tamusarit had already walked over to Suenee and greeted her and Phesila with a traditional Thai greeting. "Sawat Dee krup," he said with a smile, as he waied. "Sawat Dee ka," both women replied with a wai and a smile. "It is good to see you again, Suenee...

The Amulets of Power IV the Burma ConflictChapter 16

Things remained quiet for the next week and a-half. The 25th was Christmas, and while it felt a lot more like Christmas up here in the mountains, there was no big celebration. The cooks had received extra food on this week's shipment, and prepared a very nice meal for us on Christmas, but there was no real celebration, no trees or gifts. Of course the Thais don't really celebrate Christmas, but they were happy to join in eating the extra food provided. Payday, the 31st, was on a Wednesday...

Starling had left Operations when I returned, but was soon back with the pieces of his Army Green Class A uniform. Suenee took them and placed them on the chair that she had been sitting on. "I will have these ready when you come on payday for your wedding," she told him. As quietly as she had spoken, the Major had picked up on it, and turned to look at both of them. "What wedding?" he asked. "Sergeant Starling and my student, Noon, will be married on payday when he returns to Chiang...

We continued until about noon. The cart only made three or four miles an hour where the road was in good condition, which wasn't always the case. There were a few places where it was so bad that we had to get out, and push the cart from the back while Ute encouraged the buffalo from the front. Thankfully those places were few, but less bad spots than that were frequent. Around noon, Ute pulled the cart off the road, and under the shade provided by some tall trees and stopped. "We stop...

KennedyChapter 17 This is War

Kennedy walked the mile or so to the house, arriving a little before six. Mr. Glastonbury wanted a blow-by-blow account of the battle with the bats, then a summary of the poker game. "So, did you win a great deal?" "No, as near as I can tell, I lost fifteen cents. A couple of the others at the table did well. Pipes and that Carlos fellow. Dennis and Don Valentine did the worst." "And some of them have heard of Slayers?" "Yes, sir. The older ones for sure. Dennis didn't know. I...

On returning home on Saturday afternoon after the briefing and the meeting in the backroom of the club, Suenee announced that she, Phesila, and the children would be leaving on Tuesday, the 14th, for Chiang Rai by train. "By train!?" I asked, shocked. "Yes, there is a train to Chiang Mai that we can take from here in the afternoon. We will go as far as Lampang on it. It will be morning when we arrive there. There is a local train that goes from Lampang to Chiang Rai on Monday, Wednesday...

We left the hotel following that for a restaurant which turned out to be the largest and most expensive one in Pak Chong. It was certainly more impressive than the places where we had eaten previously. The building was masonry with a wooden second story. There were many types of meat on display such as roast chicken and duck, there was red barbecued pork cooking over coals still. Just the smells were delicious. There was also the smell of freshly cooked rice and the other items being...

KennedyChapter 30 Sunnydale

Mr. Giles had asked Kennedy if she would drive; what started out as a favor became the thing to do as they drove across the US. Day and night seemed meaningless. Mr. Giles wanted to stop for gas only; Kennedy was amused that he had no problem with her using her debit card to pay for it. If you needed something to eat or a comfort stop, you rushed inside and did whatever business it was that you had to do. The two other girls were English and half the time their conversation seemed...

KennedyChapter 4 Kennedy and the Face in the Window

Kennedy tried not to let her chest stick out. It was, she thought, just a small embarrassment, but it was an embarrassment nonetheless. At barely thirteen she looked only slightly more like a woman than she had at ten or twelve. She'd grown a foot, true enough. Her breasts were now visible -- at least to her mother, who'd insisted on dragging Kennedy to Macy's to buy bras. Afterwards, Kennedy was struggling with the changes to her body and the only advice in her universe was coming from...

KennedyChapter 29 The Bringers Bring It On

Kennedy trailed her oars in the water. Behind her Marian was still breathing hard after their latest run. "That was nice," Marian said, catching her breath. "It was," Kennedy agreed. They'd worked out signals so that Marian could be ready when Kennedy changed pace. The coaches were still having cat fits about Marian not matching Kennedy stroke for stroke, but the "slow it down" admonishment was never going to fly as good coaching advice. "Kennedy," Marian started to say. Kennedy...

KennedyChapter 26 Drivers Ed

Kennedy straightened out from the curve and set her car in line for the next corner. That another car, drifting along behind her, had to make the choice between hitting her or backing off made no mind to her. She set up easily for the corner, drifted around it, then accelerated away, now far ahead of the next nearest car. A few seconds later she took the checkered flag. Only two laps, but hey, a race is a race! Winning wasn't just anything, it was everything! She loved driving these...

KennedyChapter 5 Kennedy Goes to Camp

The next morning Kennedy was waiting for Mr. Glastonbury when he came into the practice room. "Sir," Kennedy asked diffidently, "did a Slayer die last night?" He looked at her curiously. "Yes. The Watchers Council let me know early this morning. Why?" "I felt her die. It was like I was her. Then I was in this other place..." "They would have told me if you'd been Chosen," Mr. Glastonbury mused aloud. "I think I was only half-chosen, sir. Some black woman, I mean, she was...

KennedyChapter 18 After the Math

Kennedy finally let go of Ruby's cold hand and stood up. Pipes was crouched next to his wife, doing what Kennedy had been doing -- crying and holding her hand. She looked around the room. Victoria was being sick in a corner, heaving over and over again, uncontrollably. Harriet was pale and trembling, sitting next to her mother, who must have fainted, as she was lying on the ground. Mr. Glastonbury was standing with a phone in his hand, talking into it. She curled her lip in distaste....

KennedyChapter 21 Duel Mundane

The next morning seemed to dawn unusually early, and it was only because Kennedy hadn't done anything strenuous that she was awake when Amy knocked on the door to their room. The two of them joined a half dozen others, including Cindy. Kennedy laughed at Cindy's backpack. "Is it still full of rocks?" "Five more pounds than last year." Several of the girls hefted Cindy's pack and shook their heads in wonder. It was a good workout and Kennedy and Amy were back in the cabin before any...

KennedyChapter 27 Other Evils

Kennedy kept busy during the summer, trying not to think about the camp she couldn't attend or the friends she couldn't see. Twice she went to play poker in Manhattan with Pipes and the others, each time using a different route, a different way to get there. It was a little like being grounded, but this was by her own choice. Instead of doing what she truly wanted, she buried herself. She worked out, she studied, she read books for pleasure, and she watched TV more than she ever had...

KennedyChapter 22 Duel Arcane

Kennedy got another hour of sleep before it was time to get up, but she was awake when Amy came to wake her. They showered again, both holding each other's eyes. "I was scared the other night," Amy told Kennedy. "Scared for you. I saw you stagger. I thought you were shot." "It was a dart from a tranquilizer gun. It didn't work." "I don't pretend to understand what went on, after that. I saw you standing there, so brave... but so alone. I wanted to run out and grab you and drag...
