Scarlett stood naked on the beach in California as several cameras took tasteful shots of the group that had become the nucleus of Crystal and Jim’s family looked on. Jim, played by Chris Hemsworth, raised the symbolic last small envelope of ashes from his late wife and let them escape into the offshore breeze as he held his hand high with the open envelope. His road trip across the contiguous states had been completed and he’d accomplished so much, and so had Crystal. The two hugged but in a way that revealed little to the cameras and thus the viewing public. The film was seeking an ‘R’ rating and also didn’t want to be a total cop-out to the crowd that wanted top-rated stars in a T&A film. They parted and looked at the sunset as the cameras panned away.
The bullhorn sounded after a long take by the cameras on the couple and the sunset, “CUT. THAT’S A WRAP. WE’RE DONE. CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE.”
Scarlett moved back to the beach blanket and picked up a short terrycloth robe and slipped it on. The breezes around the beach weren’t exactly warm and her nipples were rigid standing at attention.
She turned to Chris as he slipped on a pair of board shorts, tucking in his generous appendage. The other nude actors and actresses also donned some garments.
Chris went and kissed Scarlett. “You’re sexy in that short robe.” He stroked inside the lapel until the finger caught on one of her erect nipples. She smiled at him.
“I’m flirting with you.” Scarlett pulled the edge of the robe up one thigh until her pussy again showed to her co-star.
Chris laughed, “You know I’m a sure thing. I enjoyed last night. Doing this film with you has also been a blast.”
“We’ll do Crystal Clear together, too, but that probably won’t start for at least six months. They have to finish editing this baby. The producers are still intent on a premiere right around Thanksgiving. From what I know, that’s very aggressive for the editing crew.”
“You heading back to see your friends in Florida? Cricket? Tell her I send my warmest regards. I liked her.”
“Yes, and I will pass your message to Cricket. You just liked spinning her around on top of your vertical shaft. She is what some call a ‘spinner’. As for my trip, I need to get my act together and pull Rose out of kindergarten. The school is used to my travels with her. Athena will have things under control.” Chris knew Athena was the nanny that Scarlett used for her daughter.
“Tell Cricket I wish she’d hang out with us more. Maybe on the next movie we could even give her some kind of role where she and I make love on screen.”
“She a newly wed – kind of.”
“Kind of? What’s that mean?”
“She became the fifth wife to a really nice man that I’m also madly in love with – a guy named Dave Prentiss.”
“Lots of divorces there,” Chris said.
“Oh, no. You don’t understand. He has five wives – right now. Never been divorced. They’re sister wives, and it’s not religious or anything either. They’re a loving polyamorous family that has poly relationships with many others, including me. They’re all called the Circle. I’m a member, too. They’re my intentional family and I love them dearly.”
Chris teased, “Will this ‘membership’ follow in the footsteps of your two previous marriages?” He poked at her midsection with one finger in a taunt. They were good friends.
Scarlett shook her head. “I don’t think so. For one, they’re not awed by my status as a movie star. They just accept me for who I am and that I have a different job the same way all of them do. For another, the Circle is about sixty or seventy people and they love me – really love me for who I am. It’s become unconditional love, and I had a hard time getting used to it, but now I’m hooked on it. I return the favor to all of them, too. I’ve never felt so surrounded in love, support, and caring. My God, there’s almost no friction of any kind between everyone. Cricket is part of all that, and has become somewhat central to a lot of it. She’s one of my best friends.”
“Maybe I should come and visit and see this place. It is a place, right?”
“It’s a large cohousing project. I’m going to build a house there on the Circle property. Everyone chooses to live close together.”
The two started to walk back to the large motor homes where the crew did makeup and prep for filming. Scarlett had her own dedicated vehicle. As they reached the door, Chris hugged her again. “Stay in touch. See you one of these days.”
“Bye, lover. Let me know if you’re coming to visit.”
Chris went and pulled on some leathers, and then hopped on the 1988 Harley Davidson Softail that had played a central role in the film. He donned the helmet and then rode off towards one of his homes in the Los Angeles hills.
Dave and Wolf sat with their feet dangling into the water near the shallow end of the pool. Dave spoke, “I’m glad to catch you before everybody else gets here for our cocktail hour. I wanted to touch base.”
“Thanks,” Wolf said. “I hope we haven’t overstayed our welcome or your hospitality.”
“Oh, far from it. No, quite the opposite. We like having you around. You bring some fresh perspectives to the Circle and that’s great. So does Carolyn. That’s kind of what I wanted to ask you about.”
“What do you mean?”
“We had a sudden and short swinging relationship before your marriage and honeymoon after Sheri and you met at the Club Ecstasy. I just wanted to see how you were defining your marriage now that those rites of passage are behind you by a couple of weeks.”
Wolf chuckled, “You want to fuck my wife again?”
“Make love to her; yes. My concern is about creating drama in your new family. I am not in the business of breaking up marriages or creating drama where none is needed.”
Wolf waved away the concern, “We talked at length about the Circle and all it represents during out honeymoon. We’d talked before the wedding, too. We used some of the situations as erotic stimuli, and still do. We buy-in to the whole philosophy you and a couple of the others laid out for us. Sheri was one of people we talked with. We’d eventually like to belong, but I know we have to meet more of the people and get known. We know what that entails.”
Dave questioned, “So, the overabundance of sexual activity out of wedlock doesn’t upset you.”
“Only in the nicest of ways. I have to admit that I fell really hard for Sheri the night she gave me that lap dance at the Club Ecstasy. I told Carolyn it was love at first sight.”
“And your feelings for Carolyn suffered?”
“Oh, no. I love Carolyn more than I ever have. We’re in this for the long-haul. One of your Circle tenets is that people can love more than one person, and we interpret that to mean in every way possible, including sexual. I’ve been lucky to find that Sheri likes us, too; so, we’ve made love together several times. Carolyn and I hope that continues into the future.
“Carolyn is exceptionally taken by you, but you probably know that. You gave her that A-spot orgasm, and you own her now. Oh, she still loves me, but you jolted her brain to a new place and you instantly became one of her most favorite people on the planet. Dave nodded, “I will, but I wanted to make sure you were all right with what we’d do and any fallout.”
Wolf laughed, “The fallout is that she’ll also start to make love with more and more of the other men, and broaden her horizons. I’ll be doing the same thing with the Circle women or your willing guests, so it’ll balance out. I guess you might say that we have an open marriage.”
“The original concept of an open marriage didn’t necessarily include sex.”
“The way we’re defining it, it does. We think that’s in keeping with the principles of your Circle.”
“MY Circle. Oh, dear. I think of this as everyone’s Circle that choses to adopt our lifestyle and philosophy.”
Wolf laughed, “But you’re the Alpha here. It is YOUR Circle, whether you like it or not. Is there any woman in the Circle, or possibly as a guest, that you haven’t made love with?”
“Errr, probably not.”
Wolf laughed, “I rest my case. In Wolf terminology, you give off pheromones – hidden and undetectable aromas that attract females so they’ll mate with you. Carolyn has the urge to merge with you, and the other men in the Circle. She told me never to worry about her commitment to me, but that she wants the freedom to experiment sexually and even romantically with other men. I am taking her word, but I told her I did want to know who she was with and the details. Thinking of my wife with other men makes me horny as all hell.”
Dave laughed, “I know the feeling, I have five of them.”
Carolyn sashayed out of the core wearing a sexy monokini. Her breasts shook in a delightful way as she made a beeline for the two men. She pulled up a seat close to Dave and next to Wolf, and let her feet dangle in the water. “What are the two of you talking about?”

“Oh, you stole my thunder. It was supposed to be a surprise.” Carolyn put on a mock pout, kissed Wolf, and then gave a lingering kiss to Dave.
Dave stood curbside as the SUV pulling a small trailer pulled up parallel to the curb on Circle Drive. Before he could take two steps towards the car Bridget was in his arms kissing his lips and all over his face and neck. She was one enthusiastic girl.
“Hello to you, too,” Dave teased when she slowed down and left his lips alone.
She panted, “I really missed you – A LOT!”
Karen stood beside him and collected a few kisses as well, and then Candy stepped in to get her share of the welcome.
Karen gestured at the full car and the trailer, “You did say she could move in with you. If this is too much, we can either (a) get her an apartment near the university, or (b) ditch some of this stuff at Goodwill or equivalent. The only sacred thing in the whole lot is Bridget.” She laughed and poked at her daughter.
“Moooooom, I’m fine.” She lit up with an idea, “Now, you can add another wife to the family since my room is available. Dad would love it. Three wives. Dave has five, but maybe I’ll become the sixth.”
Daryl had just come around the car, “Love what?” He and Dave shook hands.
Bridget teased, “Having a third wife. You need to catch up to Dave. He has five, you know, and now he’s going to have me as a pseudo-wife for four years.”
Dave rolled his eyes.
Alice and Julie came bounding out of the house at a run and joined in the welcomes, paying particular attention to Daryl. He’d seemed ill-at-ease at first, but after their hugs and kisses, he seemed to relax. Dave figured he needed a big dose of self-confidence. Alice stood with her arms around him and her head on his shoulder. She was also only wearing a monokini; her standard summer ‘at home’ mode of dress if she wasn’t nude.
Bridget and her moms, as she now referred to Karen and Candy, Bridget’s aunts, and her dad and uncle started a parade of boxes, clothing, and a couple of items of furniture from the car and trailer into Dave’s house and up to the guest room at the rear of the house that would likely be Bridget’s home at least until she graduated from college. With that many people, things went quickly.
The adults that had driven down in Bridget’s car from Ohio in two days were tired, and took advantage of the warmth to strip down and swim and then lay back on a couple of chaises and rest on something not going eighty miles an hour.
Bridget was wound up tighter than a two-dollar watch. She wanted to go in multiple directions at the same time – following Dave or Alice or Julie around, and going to swim.
