It still didn't prepare the director for the sight of so many people arriving a full hour before things were scheduled to start. It also didn't prepare him for having one of his biggest stars come up to him and ask him how they could help.

"Sure," the man said. He watched as computers were taken to each room and a video system was hooked up to a large-screen TV. "It will make it more realistic."
"That's what we're going for," Sahara replied. "I think the goal is to make this look like something that probably happens on every college campus in America. We have some extras who volunteered to provide background people. Don't worry, they're being paid out of our proceeds. Actually, this is a test run for our own production next month. They're all involved but none of them have actually witnessed what goes on at a shoot. We figured this would be a good indicator of what they can expect."
"'Dragon Lore, '" the man said with a knowing smile. He had made his name in the business in the early 1990s by shooting movies with a half-decent plot. He missed those days.
"Yep," Sahara said, smiling back. "We've already got Ben Benedict on board to direct that one. But there will be opportunities in the future for other directors. "We're ready when you are," Sahara confirmed.

"I just transferred here," the guy answered. "I'm Derrick."

Michelle giggled but took his hand.
"It'll be fine," she said. It _would_ be fine, too. She only needed her partner to stand still; she would do the rest.
