Could it just be about the clothes for some crossdressers? Or does jacqueline not consider those people crossdressers? Jacqueline responded, "you make a good point, chris. I shouldn't generalize and say that all crossdressers have the same motivations or experiences. It's possible that for some crossdressers, it is simply about the clothes and nothing more. However, I do think that the act of crossdressing can be a form of self-expression and a way to explore and experiment with different aspects of one's identity. And for me personally, it is about much more than just the clothes." Chris asks jacqueline if she could imagine herself being a non- crossdressing man married to a beautiful woman that he finds very attractive. How does he think he would react if his wife told him that she?d like to go out in public with him, but with her presenting as a man? For example, flattening her chest, putting her hair underneath a hat or hair piece, wearing a fake beard or mustache, and putting a fake penis in her underwear, etc. Jacqueline paused for a moment before answering, then said that it's hard for her to imagine that situation because it's not something she's ever experienced. But she said that she thinks she would be open to the idea and would try to support her wife's desire to express herself in that way. She also said that she would want to have a conversation with her wife to understand her motivations and to make sure that they are both comfortable and safe in that situation. Chris pushes the issue with jacqueline asking if she really thinks she?d support her wife going in public with him dressed as another man? And even if he supported his wife doing it, don?t you think you?d be terribly sad that you couldn?t see your wife looking as beautiful and feminine as you know she is capable off looking? Chris, acknowledging the cultural norms, said that he can understand how many men might feel that way. However, he believes that it is important to recognize and respect individual differences and preferences. Some men may indeed prefer their wives to present in a more traditionally feminine way, but others may be more accepting and supportive of their wives expressing themselves in ways that may not fit traditional gender roles. Ultimately, it is up to each individual to decide what is important to them in a relationship and how they want to express themselves. Jacqueline didn?t know how to answer this question. Chris tries a different approach to the same question, asking jacqueline if she were to marry a woman, would she expect that woman to accept her crossdressing, or would jacqueline totally understand if his wife could not accept his crossdressing? After all if you believe men should be ok if their wives want to present like men, then presumably women should be ok if their husbands want to present as women? Jacqueline acknowledged the double standard and said that she would hope her partner would be accepting of her crossdressing, but she would also understand if it was a deal breaker for them. She added that she believes in open communication and being upfront about her crossdressing from the beginning of any potential relationship. Ultimately, she thinks it is important to find a partner who is accepting and supportive of who she is. Chris asks jacqueline if she feels that people are attracted to their partner, at least in part, because of their gender presentation, or are people attracted to their partner because of who they are inside, regardless of their gender presentation ? Jacqueline responds that she believes that people are initially attracted to someone based on their physical appearance, but as the relationship progresses, people become attracted to their partner's personality, values, and interests. Gender presentation may play a role in initial attraction, but it is not the only factor that determines attraction. Chris pushes jacqueline further by asking her if she can imagine a very girly-girl feminine woman who is married to a man that is very rugged and masculine. Do you think it?s likely that she?d be ok with him suddenly wearing dresses, high heels and makeup after 20 years of marriage? Jacqueline responded that it is difficult to make assumptions about what any individual would be comfortable with in a hypothetical situation. However, she added that it is important for couples to have open and honest communication about their desires and boundaries in order to maintain a healthy and fulfilling relationship. But chris again pushes jacqueline asking her if she honestly thinks the ultra feminine wife in that scenario would likely be ok with her manly man, who she loves for the way he?s always been during the last 20 years, to suddenly come out as a crossdresser? Jacqueline admits that it might be difficult for the wife in that scenario to accept her husband's crossdressing if it's something that he has never shown an interest in before. However, she believes that if the couple truly loves and accepts each other, they should be willing to explore and accept each other's interests and desires, even if they come as a surprise. Ultimately, it comes down to open communication and respect for each other's feelings and boundaries. Chris asks jacqueline another follow up question: does she feel that a person who doesn?t accept their partner?s crossdressing doesn?t ?truly love? their partner, using jacqueline?s own words from her last answer. Jacqueline hesitates before answering this question. She says that it?s a complicated issue and there is no easy answer. She believes that love is a complex emotion and there are many factors that influence it, including a person?s gender identity and expression. She thinks that it?s possible for someone to love their partner deeply, but still struggle with accepting their crossdressing. However, she also believes that if someone truly loves their partner, they should try to understand and accept all aspects of their partner?s identity, including their gender expression. Ultimately, she feels that it?s up to each individual to decide what they can and cannot accept in a relationship, but that love should always be based on acceptance and understanding. Chris thanks jacqueline for her thoughtful and honest answers. And chris says to try to end on a less heavy, more fun tone, he wants to know jacqueline preferences in high heels: pumps or sandals? Jacqueline chuckles and says she loves both, but if she had to choose one, she?d go with pumps. To end the interview chris asks jacqueline if there is anything else she?d like to say about her views on any aspect of crossdressing.
