Hey guys! Feel free to scroll down and skip this welcome bit, my story gets straight into the action if that's what you're here for. I'm just writing this to say thanks for checking out my story, about a young, inexperienced man who comes across a magic watch. Your choices will ultimately lead to SO many potential things, I'm incredibly excited to put all of my ideas into this story because honestly, there's so many!

If you find the idea of freezing time hot and you have some ideas yourself however, feel free to pitch some chapters. If you just name a chapter and submit it for moderation I'll happily attempt to write whatever you're suggesting! Anyway, I hope you enjoy my incomplete story

You're walking home from school, alone as usual. After moving to this new town you've found it harder than usual to fit in and make friends, and after Ken (the school's bully) pulled your pants down in gym class, most other kids have stayed away from you. You used to have plenty of friends but after moving schools so much you've gotten to the point where you no longer think it's worth trying.

You sigh and look down at the floor, feeling slightly dejected when suddenly a golden-glint catches your attention from the corner of your eye. Your eyes dart to where the quick flash came from, and land on a golden pocket watch hanging from the branch of a bush. You curiously hurry towards it before wrapping your fingers around the cool, hard metal and pull it away from the branch and closer to your face. You compare the time to your phone's and find they're both correct. Somebody must have lost this recently, it looks antique and worth a decent amount to the right guy. You quickly look up and down the street, ready to return it but when you find it empty you quickly slide the hefty piece of tech into your pocket and continue walking home, ignoring a clicking sound as the watch presses against the edge of your pocket.

You turn a corner onto your street, a quiet cul-de-sac which is filled with kids and stay at home moms. As an 18 year old yourself you try to avoid the kids, you want some friends but you aren't that desperate. You try to stay friendly with them though. As you walk past number 17, you spot miss Jenkin's leaning over her rose bush, trimming them as usual. You quickly say hi as you walk by but are surprised when she doesn't look up at you. You shake your head, wondering if she heard you as you quicken your step, getting away from the awkward situation. Just as you're reaching your front door you quickly pull your phone out, checking for text messages. Your eyes land on the time though.. 3:36pm - that's the exact same time it was when you checked the watch you found. You quickly pull the pocket watch out of your pocket and find the seconds are no longer ticking by, the large golden button on the top of the watch is firmly pressed in. You stare at it for a short while before walking back to the sidewalk, back the way you came.

Miss Jenkins is still in the exact same position, leaning over her rose bushes holding secateurs in one and a rose stem firmly in the other. You watch her for a few seconds and after she doesn't move an inch.
