"We have been here a long time, and all that he and the others have done is to use our Magic Power to make theirs stronger. We have tried to learn their Magic, but what little we could perceive was very dark and didn't feel right to us, so we have never tried to use it," Almha told me.
"With your level of Talent, it could have only been Black Magic that wouldn't feel right to you. If the Master here is practicing that, I will need to confront him. The Eternal Flame has decreed the practice of Black Magic to be unlawful, and those using it are subject to the death penalty for doing so," I told them before changing the subject.
"Aren't you cold in here naked?" I asked them, as the room didn't seem to be more than about sixty-three degrees or so.
"Oh no! This is the warm time, and we never have blankets then. There is a place where we sit at times and the warmth comes into the room, but that is only during or just before the warm time. In the cold time, we have blankets, and very little warmth comes from that place then. We stay together in the bed under our blankets then," Airmid told me with a shiver.
"Where is this warm place?" I asked unsure of exactly what they meant. The girls moved away from me, and searched around the bed to determine exactly where they were. They then moved off the bed and crawled along the floor against the wall until they came to the corner of the room.
