The captain laughed. “Give that the Glatarans have put a thousand gold piece bounty on my head, and their man-o-wars’ and wizards have been scouring the seas for me for years, I’m not particularly worried about how they’ll respond to me taking you.”
Inira sighed to herself. Her mother had lived her entire life amongst the nobility, and had the unthinking arrogance of someone used to everyone obeying her commands. Inira’s older sister, Claudine, had it too. She stepped forward and confronted the captain angrily.
“Pirate whore!” she said. “You wouldn’t dare lay a finger on us!”
Lashiya smiled cruelly. Then her cutlass lashed out, slicing Claudine’s expensive, fashionable dress open at the front, leaving her in only her lacy, translucent shift. She was too stunned to react as the captain yanked down the thin garment, exposing her ripe breasts to the leering crowd of pirates. She gave a yelp as Lashiya pinched her nipple, raising a laugh from the watchers.
