When the war ended a military general by the name Ibrahim Maqsood gained control over the planet. His origins unknown, he became the cruelest man ever to live in history, crueler than even Hitler and Stallan, killing those who defied him, killing those whom he didn’t trust and even killing those who he didn’t like whether it was because of their appearance or their accent. The resistance, which formed against him, finally was able to overthrow him 5 years previous. He vanished without a trace before he could be brought in for judgement, though he is no longer a concern since he doesn't have any power.
Your parents were part of the resistance. Their ranks were high so when 13 years ago they were tortured to death personally by Ibrahim Maqsood the resistance was injured badly. They are now war heroes for all. You were raised well hidden by your mother’s best friend, Dr. Blacksmith. She has taught you everything about the known history of humanity and has been trying to develop a method of time travel for the last 20 years. Recently she completed it and is adjusting it at the moment.
But only 2 weeks ago astronomers released some very disturbing news: the earth will die today! A large comet, large enough to finish off any solid planet, has suddenly changed it’s course of orbit for no what so ever apparent reason and is heading straight for earth. Today is the day of the impact.
The sky darkens suddenly; you look at your watch “Only 5 minutes left” You cry. The collision will occur in about 2 hours. However since it’s colliding on our side of the planet, in only 4 minutes now the ground will rip off and kill you all!
“Finished” she says. “Stand in that port”. You walk to the time travel port. “Here take this” she gives you a box, “I am sending you 50 years in the past.You have several missions. First, you are to warn people about the war, tell humanity what its effects will be. Second, track down Ibrahim Maqsood and stop him from becoming a tyrant, most likely you will have to terminate him. Thirdly you are to warn humans about the comet and learn why it suddenly changed its course. If you can persuade people that you are from the future preventing destruction of earth will be easy. I have left in your box instructions of how to make a missile with enough power to blow up the comet. We would have used a missile if we had enough resources. But there should be enough in the past. That box has everything you need. Good bye and good luck. I am giving you a very difficult job to do but I know you can do it. Never give up.” She hugged you tightly and kissed your cheek. Then she turns to the control panel.
“I am truly sorry to leave you like this” You tell her. She can’t come since the port has enough power to only transport only about one person, after that it will collapse.
“If you can change the course of humans I wont be left like this. Try to live a normal life once you are finished your tasks. Get yourself a girl.”
The ground starts shaking very hard. You feel the earth rising. Just when you sense death the world around you fades. You are falling and yet you are rising. You keep on feeling this same sensation. After what seems to be a hundred years you hit the ground.
You are lying in a park; you know this because you have seen this place in a hologram atmosphere room. You have seen this whole city. It’s where your parents and Dr. Blacksmith were raised. The air smells wonderful and the grass under me feels amazing. You get up and see a person your age coming to you.
“I am sorry. I have a really bad aim. Did the ball hit you” he asks
“What ball” you ask.
“Then it didn’t hit you?” he says hopefully.
“No” you reply
He looks beyond you and sees something. He runs towards it and comes back with a small red ball. “You want to play? We are playing cricket. It’s an unknown sport here.”
“I’ll play” you reply. You go join him as he teaches you how to play. You have a lot of fun. Soon the sun starts to set and the other people head home. You see the one who threw the ball past you and see he too is going home. You open up the box. Inside you find a credit card, you know you can spend as much money as you want since it’s programmed to let you do so. There is also a gun in here, it doesn’t need to be reloaded and is very silent to use, and you can change the bullet type to anything (eg. compressed air,explosives, etc.). You also find an Icer (information carrier). You can write anything in it. Also it has every information you need, all the known human history and how to make a super power missile.
