He coluld do nothing to escape the lip gloss brush across his lips as he
had just started the engine to the car and done up his seat belt when she
reached over and applied it to his lips. He had thought she was going to
put it on her own lips and was caught by surprise by her sudden act.
She told him, "Pucker up your lips like you see other women do."
Having just had lip gloss put on his lips against his will why did he
obey this direct instruction? He could have refused as he wasn't a woman
was he? He felt the sticky feeling on his lips of the lip gloss she had
just applied as he did as he was told and puckered his lips. Did doing
this make him a woman? It certainly felt very feminine. He saw it was a
very obvious shiny deep red gloss as he looked at himself in the rear
view mirror (as well a woman might when applying lipstick or lip gloss).
Why was he looking at himself in the mirror? It was not like he was a
woman was it?
There was however no mistaking that he was wearing lip gloss or lipstick.
"Don't worry," she giggled. "It will come off in 24 hours!"
As a seasoned reader of this type of story you know better. You wear lip
gloss yourself and you know no lip gloss lasts for that long does it?
But before you criticize my story remember our hero is an ordinary
ignorant male who had just been tricked into wearing lip gloss for the
first time in his dull vanilla life and he does not yet have your level
of sophistication but he is learning fast. He has just learnt to apply
lip gloss after all and the way he puckered his lips and checked himself
in the rear view mirror was unmistakably feminine.
That wasn't the first step she'd taken him along on the road to
femininity that day either as she had caught him with a mascara brush a
few minutes earlier too! He'd been in the bathroom putting some gel in
his long blonde hair when she had quickly reached over and got his left
eyelashes with a quick flick of her brush.
"Hey what's the big idea?" he asked, not quite as angrily as he would
have if he was really annoyed he was wearing mascara, but in a way that
tried to suggest he was against what she had just done.
He followed this up with the ironic and surprisingly perceptive "Are you
trying to turn me into a girl?"
Did he realize? The others had generally taken the mascara step as a
little joke of hers and did not appear to anticipate she would take
matters any further. Yet she had. Almost every time. You see he wasn't
the first boyfriend she had done this too but she knew that if she wanted
to turn him into a girl she was going to have to be slightly more subtle
about it than telling him that this was exactly what she had intended to
do.
Her first boyfriend had left her shortly after "Mascara Gate" as he
clearly felt threatened by what she had done to him given she had also
naively told him she wanted to turn him into her girlfriend. A few
boyfriends later, through trial and error, she had had her first success.
He was her fourth boyfriend. He had had "the Op" and was now working as
a Kylie Minogue tribute act. He has well and truly taken his walk on the
wild side.
She gave Mr Perceptive her whole list of male celebrities who wore
mascara. I know what you are thinking - normally his girlfriend putting
mascara on a man should be enough to put him on notice that she was
trying to feminize him? But the throwing in of the list was just enough
to disguise what she obviously intended. She cleverly exploited his
confusion as she persuaded him to let her complete the job on the grounds
he would look odd otherwise.
Just then she noticed how he fluttered his eyelashes like a real woman!
Oh he was going to look good as a girl!
She had learnt that taking a man along the road to femininity involved
not telling him directly what she was doing whilst taking him firmly by
the hand along the road by telling him what to do as she helped him to
make each step until he was walking that road himself and believed he had
always wanted to be a woman.
If he had showed reluctance she was ready to belittle what she was doing
and challenge his masculinity by saying something like "You can't be much
of a man if you are threatened by a little bit of mascara/lipstick/eye-
shadow..."
He had not showed any reluctance yet and having been outwitted twice he
was now in a car full of women. Furthermore he was the only one wearing
lip gloss and mascara!
At this point she "accidentally" sprayed him with a bit of her perfume.
"Hey what was that for?"
"Sorry it was an accident! But you have to admit it isn't out of place
with your lippy and mascara," she teased. "Anyway no-one will notice.
Besides you are in a car full of women and it is only normal that you
come out smelling like one of us."
She was playing her hand like a confident poker player. He had now not
really raised any objections to wearing mascara, lip gloss and perfume
and she had no intention of stopping there. He had also swallowed her
lies that it was normal for him to smell of perfume and no-one would
notice the lip gloss or mascara.
He was, however, subconsciously aware that something was not quite (what
his vanilla mind would call) right and was a lot quieter than he would
normally be.
As they drove on through the night he became distracted by trying to stay
awake and had completely forgotten the lip gloss and mascara by the time
they had started to get low on petrol. They pulled in to a service
station and she and the other girls pretended to be asleep in case he
tried to persuade one of them to pay for the petrol (if he remembered how
he looked).
The thought did not occur to him though as he had forgotten that he was
wearing lipstick and mascara as well a generous "accidental" spray of
perfume. He was puzzled when the petrol pump attendant had looked at him
and said, "It takes all sorts."
Stranger still she and the girls were all awake and wanted a group photo.
They were each wearing a red rose hair clip. She started fussing with
his hair and suddenly he realized she wanted him to wear a hair clip too
but he could not see it. He feigned reluctance to wear it but she knew
he was further along the road than that from his mannerisms. She and the
girls simply called him a "killjoy" and he had an identical rose hairclip
on. He simply did not register that she had just brushed his hair from
right to left and therefore with his mascara and lip gloss he looked the
most feminine of the four of them. The other girls were all wearing
matching lip gloss in solidarity with their new "sister" for a
"sisterhood on the road" facebook picture.
"I want to make a running bet with you," she said. "I bet I can make you
look more girly by 10:00pm each day of our holiday than the rest of us
and that you will enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it you can stop."
"For the first day the most girly looking one of us must dress as a
French Maid."
"From then on if I win and you look the most girly you must agree to do
whatever I tell you for the next day. If you win you and either one of
the other girls or me look more girly than you, you get to tell us what
to do."
It sounded fun to him until he saw the facebook picture.
It was at that point that he realized he was going to spend the next day
driving across the country dressed as a French Maid and remembered that
he was wearing lip gloss and mascara.
