that halfway snapped him back from his reverie. He started to sit up as he
felt the gurney being rolled, but Jan's firm hand on his chest gently
pushed him back down. "Shhh," she said in her soft voice. "We're just
going to the Eucalyptus Room for your scent treatment and facial...No need
to do anything but relax." Still feeling the afterglow of the massage and
with the calming music still in his ears, he saw no reason to disobey her,
and lay back on the gurney, oblivious to his destination.
He heard, rather than saw a door open and was momentarily puzzled as a
green light swept over him. Just as his eyes were registering the strange

but soothing odor. He turned his head only to see Jan exiting through the
door she had just wheeled him through. He looked around briefly from his

"Please relax, sir. We at 'Everything' pride ourselves on taking the
utmost care of our patrons, and we want them to be in the greatest state of
relaxation possible before we begin our magic." She said this with a
flirty twinkle in her eye, and even though he was still not comfortable
about all this stuff, he allowed himself to lie back down, hoping the
skeptical look in his eye was enough to let her know he didn't like being
bossed around. "Now, sir, you are in a very special room. As far as we
know, it's the only one of its kind in the country. The scent you are
experiencing comes from a rare species of eucalyptus found only on a remote
island off the coast of New Zealand. I think you'll find its properties
quite stimulating as soon as we turn it on full blast. It'll make you
quite drowsy, and you may even go to sleep for a while. Now since I'm
going to be working on your face, I don't want to doze off myself, so

He was briefly confused as to why Amy's name was being brought up during
what was supposed to be HIS treatment, but at just that moment, he heard a
hiss, and the aromatic odor he had been experiencing suddenly grew

effect of the Eucalyptus Room. As he became more aware, he could feel that

He still lay on the gurney, but he dimly noticed that he had been moved to
another room. The decor was much the same as the massage room, but this
one had a bed in it and a couple of closets. It looked more like a really

He took a deep breath, raised his arms, and stretched in preparation of
sitting up, and it was then that he realized that something was very
