SRU: Honesty By Heather St. Claire From the time I was old enough to walk and talk, my mother and father always taught me the importance of honesty. I listened carefully, and tried to put their teachings into practice in my life. I usually have, by the way. I'm not claiming to be a saint, but can say I've lived a basically honest life. Too bad my principles deserted me when it came to the most important opportunity of my life. As a result, I almost let the chance to realize my greatest dream slip through my fingers. About the time my folks were beginning to teach me that priceless lesson, an important realization dawned within me: I should have been born a girl. It was conviction that only grew and intensified in the years that followed. Thanks to magazines, books and television, I knew that I wasn't alone in the world. But it wasn't until I got on-line that I learned just how many men there were who shared my dream. When I read about that traveling magic store, Spells R Us, I knew the solution to my yearning was at hand. At the time, I was living on the outskirts of a large city; there were half a dozen mega-malls within its metropolitan region. I figured it was something of a long shot, but I decided that if I spent enough time in the malls, I would turn the corner one day and find Spells R Us in place of some pet shop or Orange Julius. But it wasn't just enough to find the place, I knew; I needed a strategy for dealing with the Wizard. What troubled me was that I had never found a story about the Wizard changing a man into a woman simply because he desired it. No, he only seemed to take delight in transforming poor, unsuspecting fellows, who were anguished to watch their manhood disappear. Sometimes, the old man seemed to do it just for the capricious fun of it; in the other cases, it was clearly meant as punishment for immoral or amoral behavior. In real life, despite being a large man with a deep voice, I tended to be somewhat shy and reserved. I also would call myself clean and well-groomed. I decided that I would be none of these things if and when I met the Wizard. It was a risky strategy, as I knew I could very well end up a sex-crazed bimbo, but I didn't care. As long as I was going to be young, female and beautiful, I didn't care about my IQ or libido level. I planned out a route that would carry me to each of the six malls every Saturday and Sunday. I resolved to be patient; I told myself that if nothing else, I would end up in a lot better condition with all that walking around. (Provided, of course, I could avoid Mrs. Fields'...) After one month, I was still confident in the success of my plan. After seven months, I was beginning to lose heart. My sense of logic was telling me that this is a huge country; who knew how long it might be before the Wizard dropped in on my city? And even if he did, what was there to guarantee I would be in the right mall at the right moment? So I skipped the next weekend; spent the whole time inside my apartment, sleeping or watching television. But I realized I could never meet the Wizard this way; so I quickly shook off my depression and was back at it the next weekend. I told myself that this was a test of faith; and indeed, it was. Another nine weeks passed. It was a bright, clear Saturday morning. I had just entered the Lone Pine Mall, made my usual left turn and traveled no more than 100 yards... when I found myself staring right at the facade of Spells R Us. I immediately felt my heart beating strong and faster; I think my legs were trembling, too. I sat down on a bench to catch my breath, and plot my approach. As I was thinking, I rubbed my chin, and felt my beard stubble... all part of my plan to alter my appearance and personality. I wanted to seem as slovenly as possible. Reaching into the small paper sack I had brought along, I took out the usual items I had been carrying with me on this journey; a water bottle and a limburger and onion sandwich. Each trip, I drank the water; but at the end of the weekend, the sandwich ended up in the trash, untouched. Now, I had to actually summon up the courage to choke done my concoction. While I did that, I ran through my self-hypnosis routine one more time. This was where I was taking my greatest risk. I knew I was foolish to try to deceive a mind-reader. But from what I had learned, I just had to temporarily block any conscious thoughts of my true reason for being there; for these crucial few minutes, I had to convince myself that I truly was the obnoxious jerk I was pretending to be. As I finished my sandwich, I tossed the empty sack in the direction of a nearby trashcan. When it hit the floor, I made no move to pick it up. I watched people passing by the strange storefront. No one else made a move to go in; no one else even seemed to notice it. I stood up, and headed toward and door of Spells R Us, and, I hoped, toward my destiny. As the door swung open, I heard the familiar tinkle of the bell, and I smiled. There was no one in sight, so I took a moment to survey the amazing array of stuff that was packed into the place, piled seemingly everywhere. Under normal circumstances, I would have waited patiently. So instead, I let out a loud belch and yelled, "Hey! Anybody around?" Immediately, I then indulged in another no-no... I started pawing through the merchandise. I had picked up a large, but lightweight box and started shaking it. It was covered with mystical pictures and symbols. From behind me, I heard a voice say, "John, please don't touch that." I put the box back on the shelf and pivoted around and found myself face- to-face with the Wizard. Yes, he was wearing the familiar robe covered with the mystical symbols; I wasn't surprised at all, but knew I had to pretend to be. "Who are you?" I demanded. "And how the heck did you know my name?" The old man smiled slightly and said, "I'm a Wizard, John; that's how I knew your name. Now why are you in my store? What can I do for you?" "A Wizard?" I laughed as loudly as I could and brought up another limburger and onion belch. The old man flinched at the odor, and I added a contemptuous, "Yeah, sure!" I could see a look of annoyance beginning to creep across his face, but tried not to let any sign of pleasure register with me, outwardly or inwardly. "Okay," I said skeptically, "If you're a magician--" "Wizard," he interrupted. "Okay, if you're a wizard, I'd really like something that will help me get into a hot chick's panties!" I hoped my expression appeared as lewd as I wanted it to be. "That will be no problem, John," he said, heading to the rear of the shop. "I've got something that will take care of you nicely." I tried very hard to contain the joy that was surging inside of me. Soon, he had returned, holding a dark brown bottle that reminded me of my father's cough syrup. There was a crude drawing of a beautiful girl on the label and writing in a language I didn't recognize. The label seemed to be wrinkled, and the bottle had a light layer of dust on it. "This should take care of you," he said with a slight grin. "What is it, some sort of super-powerful Spanish Fly?" "Something like that." I asked him how much he wanted; he told me five dollars; I reached into my pocket and produced a greasy, tattered bill. I then turned toward the door and managed to cut a loud fart. "Mr. Parker," he said. "You might want to make a point of coming back here tomorrow. I might have something you'll want... or need." He was, I assumed, referring to the packet that would contain all the identification I would need for my new female identity. "Okay, man, whatever," I said, as I heard the bell of the door tinkle behind me. As soon as I was out of sight of the storefront, I broke into a run... or maybe a fast trot. I sure didn't want to risk tripping and breaking the bottle. I simply could not wait to get home, drink the liquid, and complete my transformation. What would it feel like? How would I look? I could not believe that a dream of more that two decades was about to be fulfilled, that my life would be changed forever. I rushed into my apartment, slammed the door and locked it. I sat down in a comfortable chair, and took a careful look at the label. As I had guessed, I couldn't read a word of it. So, throwing caution to the wind, I unscrewed the top and drank the entire contents. It had a thin, almost watery kind of taste. I though it might be unusually bitter, sweet, or thick, but it was none of these things. I was somehow... disappointed. I sat for nearly half an hour, waiting for something to happen... but it didn't. I paced around the apartment, went in the bathroom to check myself in the mirror several times in case there were changes visible that I couldn't see. I was beginning to think something was wrong, and wandered into the kitchen to begin doing the leftover breakfast dishes. Suddenly, I was hit by intense cramps. I staggered back to my chair and sat down, rocking back and forth in pain. I had never been so happy to be sick! I unzipped my jeans and worked my shorts down enough to see my shrinking penis... my testicles withdrawing inside of me... and new, feminine lips forming. There was an intense tingle in my chest as my nipples suddenly became extremely sensitive. I couldn't help but unbutton my shirt to begin stroking them... it was so wonderful to play with them as they grew... first from tiny bumps behind the nipples, to small mounds, to luscious half-globes, all within a matter of minutes. I had been concentrating on my breasts and genitals, but now, I became aware of all the other wonderful changes that had been taking place. The hand that was stroking those breasts was so much thinner and softer than it had been just a short time before. The nails on it had gained about half an inch in length, as well as a coat of bright red polish. My arms and legs were now slim and wonderfully feminine in shape and almost free of body hair. My neck--I felt it with such joy! I had had a football player's build as a man... this neck was thin, long, elegant, almost swan-like. I could tell my face was profoundly different, and that it was now framed by a mass of wavy hair, but to know what it looked like; I needed to return to the mirror. My breath was taken away by the beautiful form that was staring back at me. Long, wavy auburn hair; a heart-shaped face with big brown eyes, a long, thin nose, big pouty lips, high cheekbones... I was... well, exquisite was the word that came to mind. I was beautiful, and it was a classy beauty... no bimbo here! As I wandered into my bedroom I thought about how I felt. Well, absolutely gorgeous, for one thing. But I also felt much the same as I had before, mentally. I hadn't seemed to have lost any IQ points... and while I certainly felt a greater sexual hunger in this body, my libido wasn't out of control. It seemed that I had all the advantages of this change... without any of the most common pitfalls. In preparation for this glorious day, I had purchased a selection of panties, shorts and tops in various sizes, in hopes that I would turn out to have something that fit me. I soon found a black bikini bottom, cutoff jeans, and a pink T-shirt. I had no bra, and I really needed one, but it was fun to walk around without one for a while. I was so eager to parade my new body in public, to start buying a new wardrobe, but something was holding me back. I thought I would just stay in for the afternoon and evening, exploring my new body, and getting to know its every intimate detail. I could go out tomorrow, when I picked up my identification from the Wizard. After all, I had a lifetime ahead in this body, right? So I spent the next several hours just playing with my pussy and breasts, staring at myself in the mirror, and dreaming about the rest of my life. I also drank half a bottle of white wine. It was somewhere around midnight, I think, when I fell asleep on top of my bed. I woke up around 9 a.m. with a strange feeling. Or more properly, I might call it a familiar feeling. My feet were too close to the foot of the bed. I didn't feel my hair brushing against my shoulders anymore. That pleasant new weight on my chest, that I had gotten used to so quickly, was gone. And between my legs, something that I thought I would never see or feel again, was back. "NOOOOOO!" I cried out. I had changed back to my old male self, but why? The mirror soon confirmed the terrible evidence my hands had discovered. Soon, I was climbing back into clothes I thought I would never have to wear again. It was especially painful to pull on cotton briefs, instead of lacy nylon panties. I got into my car, and drove to the mall. I knew the Wizard wouldn't have an ID packet for me; so what was he talking about? I pulled into a parking space near the main entrance, and soon was heading inside the mall. All the joy had gone out of my step; I was in no particular hurry. But soon, I was staring at the storefront again, in the same spot it had been yesterday. With a heavy heart, and more than a little fear of what next awaited me, I advanced to the door. The tinkle of the bell, which had been such a harbinger of joy the day before, now seemed tinny and hollow. "Good morning, John," the Wizard said cheerfully. "Hello," I replied glumly. There was a long pause, so I went on. "You said you would have something else for me... what is it?" "An explanation." "That's it? An explanation?" "You might be grateful that I'm giving you that... it's more than I provide most of my customers." I nodded, chastened. "Okay, then," I said, taking a deep breath. "Why did I change back? More than anything, I wanted the transformation to be permanent!" "I know that." "You did? Then why did you do this?" I pleaded, pointing at my once-again male body. "Because you went about it the wrong way... the dishonest way." "But all the stories... I always assumed you'd never do it for anyone who really wanted it..." "Oh, those stories!" he said with a sigh. "As I've tried to tell other people, they don't represent a complete picture of me, or my work. Most are the scribblings of dissatisfied customers; the others are simply the work of men and women looking for tales to tell with a nice, ironic twist." He regarded me evenly, and then went on. "But that's not what my work is all about, by any means. Much of it is rather humdrum, at least by magical standards. I grant people exactly what they want frequently, including just the transformation that you sought. All you had to do was ask for it in an honest, forthright manner, and without any hidden motive." I couldn't quite take in what I was hearing, at first; but I knew it was true. "So... that's it... all I had to do was ask?" "That's all." "Hmmm," I said. "I know that you often have passes for Bikini Beach... do you happen to have any today? I would really enjoy a nice, refreshing shower!" The Wizard smiled, and opened a drawer and withdrew a pass. "There now," he said, handing over the pass. "Was that so difficult?" I can tell you that it wasn't hard at all. As sure my name is now Joanna Parker, I can tell you it wasn't hard at all! The end

SRU Friends are Thicker than Wishes

Here's my SRU anniversary story that I mentioned last week. I had hoped to have it ready for the October 8 anniversary, but fell a little short. Either that or I got a little longwinded ... again. This story is a little different from the others as I've written in the SRU universe in that its also a prequel of sorts to one of my non-SRU stories posted last month. It didn't start out that way, but given some of the characters I needed for this, I think it worked out better. You...

SRU Convention

Just a quick note, this is my first attempt at a transgender story. So all critism will be openly accepted. SRU: Convention by Greg Iacovelli As I walked through the mall looking for a costume to wear to the animae convention I saw the same stuff in every store window, stuff for Halloween. It was October 12, 1998 and my friend agreed to go in costume if I got it for him and he said any costume so I planned to do him over good. I still remember the conversation...

SRU: Unreally Real By Ran Dandel "Damn!" exclaimed Terry Ralston, as the monitor screen pronounced the words, "Game Over". "Killed again! If I could just get past that level!" SRU High School Reunion

This is written for the third anniversary of the SRU universe. It's a little late, but somethings can't be helped. The first story specifically designated as SRU (although I spelled it all out the first couple of posts) was posted to the TSA-TALK mailing list on October 8, 1996. At first, I wasn't sure if I would have the time to write an anniversary story. There was the crossover series with the Altered Fates universe to consider, although that project now looks dead. And I didn't...

It was another lost bout of trying fight off the sexual urges she felt. It...

SRU The Contract

Spells-R-Us & The Contract by Bad Irving Standard disclaimer, if under 18 do not read this tale. Actually this disclaimer is just a chance to give some credit, where credit is due. The story "The Reviewer from Hell" by Happyguy was the starting idea for the creation of this story. It is with Happyguy's permission that I take his concept and proceed with my own story. The characters in this story are not a carry over from Happyguy's tale, but, the Spells-R-Us (SRU) characters...

SRU Nicely Backfired

SRU: Nicely Backfired: by Donna-Allyson McCleod (my first attempt at short SRU story) It had all started a month earlier when Shirley Davis had moved into Don's neighborhood along with her older sister Valerie and their estranged mother Sherry. Don Wallace was a senior at St. Mary's Boy's High School at the time. Shirley Davis had immediately caught Don's eye on her first day at the school. Shirley was sixteen and had transferred into the adjoining St. Mary's School for Girls as a...

SRU An Error in Application

Warning: This story contains adult material. SRU: An Error in Application by Fringold Sixfingers Lyle Green had heard several rumors about the 'Spells R Us' shop in the mall. Sense he did not believe in magic, he took the stories as tells of fancy. There was one rumor he was not about to ignore. The best place to buy computer hardware was SRU. Lyle could use an upgrade to keep him competitive. Soon he was outside the shop. Not at all what he was expecting. The store looked more...

SRUAF A Wizards Altered Fate

Author's Notes by Bill Hart This was initially intended to be the second posting of the collaborative crossover set in the 'Spells R Us' and 'Altered Fates' universes written by myself and Raven. However, after finally making contact with Raven, we decided my story could be posted first, with his story becoming a prequel of sorts, instead of the lead in. Before I do anything else I would like...

SRU Well Dressed

SRU: Well Dressed By Bashful Jack Edward Wilson was a relatively happy man. He had a good job and a wonderful wife. They had not been blessed with children yet but that was just a matter of time, he was sure. Jack really enjoyed his job, it was something he liked doing and he was good at it. He worked for a good company that treated it's employees well. You'd think he had the perfect life and you'd be right, except for one little thing. Jack wished he was a...

SRU Hunting Season

Note: This is rather tame compared to the other SRU stories and I took a few liberties with this one. I hope that I don't piss anyone off with it. There is no sex on this one so if that is a deciding factor for you, pass this one by. Please let me know what you think of this story, whether you like or dislike it. I have other stories that I'm working on and hopefully will post in the future. This story may be posted to any sight that doesn't charge a fee. All others must get my...

SRU Pantyhose

SRU: PANTYHOSE BY PAUL G. JUTRAS "Why can't I wear clothes like that." Was the thought that often ran through Chris's mind. Chris was a pleasant twenty-two year old. Anyone who looked at him would think he was a normal boy checking out girls. What he was looking at was the clothes they had on. Clothes he wish he could have on. His mother's side of the family ran a night club and during the early evening he listened to the music and wondered what it would be like to feel silk...

SRU Made for Each Other

SRU: MADE FOR EACH OTHER by Roy Del Frink Leland Welker was strolling through the mall one day when he saw a strange sight. It was an old-fashioned wooden shop called "Spells R Us". He was bored, so he decided to enter on a whim. Leland couldn't believe all the junk in there, and didn't understand what he would do in a place like this. Just then he noticed a short old man behind the counter. He looked at least eighty years old, and he wore an old crimson bathrobe. He asked the...

SRU: Christmas Miracles Copyright (c) 1999 by Chilli TNG --------------------------------------- Notes: The Spells 'R' Us Universe was created by Bill Hart; any characters from that universe that I've borrowed are ultimately his and I thank him for opening this universe to everyone. SRU Half and Half

SRU: HALF AND HALF By Roy Del Frink A disgruntled lady walked up to the counter, holding a paper bag in her arm. "Listen here, buddy," she said to the old man behind the counter, "you sold me a potion that would turn my husband into the next thing I said. I said, 'Change my husband into a Chippendale dancer,' and look what happened!" She placed the bag on the counter, and opened it. The lady pulled out two chipmunks, dressed in tiny top hats, tuxes, and canes. One had a...

SRU Better Than Plastic

SRU Chads Story

SRU: Chad's Story By Bashful Chad walked into the mall and looked around. He needed some girls to come to the frat party tonight. So far he had struck out. Last year he had come up with the idea to bring back the party committee and party fund. He had been appointed party chairman as a result. This was to be the first big party of the new school year. Chad was a senior and he wanted to make this last year of college a memorable one. Chad stopped and stared at a little...

SRU Jerry Jerry Jerry

SRU: Jerry...Jerry...Jerry... by [email protected] edited by SteveZ The SRU Universe belongs to the great Bill Hart, but most of you already knew that. SRU The Way of the Manga

SRU: The Way of the Manga By Melissa Virus Copyright 2000 Matt and Jason headed into the mall. Every Tuesday they went to Cedar Oaks Mall to pick up the latest issues of their favorite comics at Skanky's Comic and Video; today was especially exciting because a Class of Ninja High School video Jason had special-ordered was supposed to be coming in. Matt made fun of him. "You know that Ninja High shit's American, right? That's not real. The guy who makes it is named fuckin' Ben," he...

SRU Learning French

SRU: Learning French By Demonn Hi, my name is Todd or should I say was Todd. I am, was 5' 10" and maybe just a bit of a geek. I wasn't ugly mind you but I wasn't all that incredibly strong. But that didn't stop me having friends like everyone else. It was a Saturday and like always, I was going to have some fun at my friend's house. I was a simple 15 year old guy, who enjoyed some R&R, when, my high school, Rivers High, was out. I mean who didn't. When I arrived at...

SRU Lovers Knot First Draft

Some time ago, Raven and I collaborated on an SRU story called Lovers (K)Not, which is unfortunately incomplete at this time. Raven created the story idea, basic plot and the main characters, and then asked me to write a rough draft based on the information that he gave me. After I completed the rough draft, I sent it to him, where he polished it up and added quite a bit more detail as well as his own touches. Raven posted each chapter to Fictionmania after he'd finished his...

SRU Catwalk Comeback

SRU: Catwalk comeback By MTG 15th August 2002 Well, a month before heading back to South Bank University to complete my Computing degree, I was in the Bentalls centre in Kingston shopping for bits and pieces so I would be ready when term started in about a month's time. After my quite literally 'out of this world' year I had already been itching to get back to normality after April - post the events of July I couldn't wait for term to start - with Steve having already...

SRU The Pardon

A version of this story appeared on Big Closet and on Sapphire's TG Fiction List. It may be added to other free archives as long as it does not violate Bill Hart's strictures on the use of his characters or my own notice at the bottom of the story. SRU: The Pardon By Lainie Lee The shabbily dressed man hurrying through the holiday shopping crowd slipped into the first door he came to. Hal David figured it must be a side corridor into service areas of the mall where he could hide...

SRU Weekend in Reno

This, my first FictionMania story, is based on a real weekend in October 2003. Just about everything in the first section of the story is true. Beyond that, well, this is an SRU story after all. (Reno girlfriends: no attempt has been made to match the characters in this story to any of you! Your secrets are safe...) --- We had been planning this outing for months. Most of the girls in my Yahoo Group had never met each other in person, but now we were going to get together in Reno...

SRU Mana Burn

Doing serious stories is quite enjoyable. Despite the fact that I'm still in the process of working on a rather long opus, I felt that a break was in order. Recharging the batteries through a little bit of humor has always been a fun tactic for me, so without further ado, I give you my first, and probably only entry into the Spells R Us universe. This particular story was inspired by a description of the card rack in SRU-Trading Cards, and the wizard's fondness for games as described in...

SRU Paper Dragon

SRU: Paper Dragon By Kim West I wish to thank Bill Hart for creating the SRU Universe and allowing others to have a chance to play in it. The story I have come up with is loosely based on "Puff the Magic Dragon." I hope you will enjoy the following. There once was a little rascal by the name of Jack Paper who loved to destroy everything in his path. His bedroom looked like a cyclone had hit it, and this would be only moments after his mother had cleaned it for him. His toys usually...

SRU Field Trip

SRU: Field Trip Jack woke up as he always did. Messed up from a night of partying and binge drinking, with of course the occasional mixture of various drugs. Groggy and clumsily, he got up from bed and looked at his calendar. "A visit to the zoo? Oh joy!" Jack said with a sarcastic tone. He had never thought much of animals in general nor was he going to start to now. What with being a troublemaker in class, this would just be another opportunity to do more trouble, he...

SRU The Shop Keeper

Author's note: I've always liked the SRU stories. This is my contribution. I hope you like it. LS SRU - The Shop Keeper By Lord Stormbringer "Damn, look at all that lost business," Tony said as he looked out of his storefront in the mall. Shoppers were bumping into each other in their hurry past his clothing store. He turned around and surveyed the few women shoppers comparing clothes. He went into the office at the back with the two-way glass window. Tom was reading a girly...
