SRU: The Good Samaritan By JDCopyhack Ryan McGill had it all. Or, so it seemed? He was tall, good looking, and was one of the most successful businessmen in Greenbrook. At 35 years old, he was already a millionaire 50 times over. Yet, he would trade it all for one thing: to be a woman. He had first experienced this feeling as far back as pre-school when he often asked his mother why he couldn't wear dresses like the other girls. The feelings intensified as he grew older, especially during his teen years, when Ryan watched with envy as those same girls developed into attractive young women. Oh, how he wished to be able to wear those clothes and makeup. How he wished he had breasts and a vagina. Each night he would go to bed and pray for divine intervention, to somehow awake in the female body he felt he belonged in. But, his prayers went unanswered and Ryan tried to manage in a world where he felt all alone. Cross-dressing relieved some of his unhappiness. By slipping into his mother's dress and heels, by applying her lipstick, he was able to escape his tortured reality, albeit briefly. After all, what was the point of wearing a bra if you didn't have breasts to put in one? One day, he caught an episode of "Geraldo" where the guests were all attractive women who had once been men. They were called transsexuals, he learned, and suddenly, he didn't seem quite so alone. But soon, Ryan's life took another twisted turn as he sprouted to a height of six-foot, four inches tall. Without ever lifting weights, he developed broad-shoulders, thick legs, and a solid build. At 195 pounds, he could no longer fit into any of his mother's clothing and he was scared to purchase any of his own for fear of his secret becoming known. Instead of dating and other social activities, Ryan withdrew and focused all of his energies on schooling. By the time he graduated college, he had little trouble finding a job. By the time he turned 28, he had started his own telecommunications company that now stood as an industry leader as well as Greenbrook's top employer. Life was good, unless, of course, you wished you were the opposite sex. *** When he was 32, he made an appointment with a gender counselor, who explained that hormones could give him a more feminine figure, but his height and masculine build would make it difficult for him to pass as a woman and get approved for surgery. More discouraged than ever, he found another outlet for his transgender feelings: the Internet. He adopted a female persona and joined a variety of "straight" chat rooms as a woman named "Jennifer." And he also discovered a site that featured stories about a marvelous, magical store called Spells R Us. The proprietor was a wizard who could change men into women with a variety of spells. The idea of Spell R Us consumed Ryan and he went on an exhaustive search to find the store. Complicating the search was the fact that the store never stayed in the same place two days in a row. The wizard and his store would magically appear and disappear within the same day. Using his vast resources and growing wealth, Ryan established retail outlets of his telecommunications business in malls across the country. As part of their responsibilities, the managers of each store were required to walk the mall each day and report back to Ryan if Spells R Us was sighted. More than two years had passed and Ryan was starting to think that Spells R Us was just a myth, a product of some creative writer's active imagination. With each passing day, he slipped further and further into despair. Cross-dressing provided little relief now. It wasn't enough to look like a woman; he wanted to be a woman. He wanted breasts and a vagina. He wanted to have long hair and makeup. He hated his penis with all his passion. Thoughts of suicide crossed his mind more than once. Then, as if by magic, the phone rang. There was a Spells R Us sighting at the Deltona Beach Mall. Ryan quickly called the executive airport only to find that his private jet was in for maintenance. No other charters were available, so Ryan did the math. Deltona Beach was 300 miles away, making it a six-hour drive by car. Glancing at the clock on his desk, he realized he had just enough time to make it before the mall closed. Traffic, as is usually the case, is not always a cooperative ally. Ryan was slowed several times due to accidents and bad weather. He was even stopped for speeding twice. It was a furious race against time that didn't end until 8:15pm when he pulled into the mall parking lot. Several minutes later, he spotted the shop nestled between an Electronics Boutique and a Disney Store. The familiar wood sign hung out front and the bell tinkled when he pushed open the door. Inside, everything looked exactly as it was described in the countless stories that he had read online. And behind the counter stood the Wizard. "Ah, Ryan, I see you made it in one piece. You need to be a little more careful on the freeway, though." "Um, yes, err..." "Don't be shy, Ryan. I know you have been looking for me." "Um, yes, you see..." "Yes?" "I, um, have this problem." "Yes, I know," the Wizard said, moving out from behind the counter. "And you think I can help you?" "Yes, I do. I have read the stories on the Internet." "Ah, the stories," the Wizard chuckled, stroking his long white beard. "I see my fame precedes me. Tell me, what is it about those stories that you like." "Well, um..." "Go on, don't be embarrassed." "Well, it's that you have the power to change men into women." "And is that what you want, Ryan? To be changed into a woman?" "Yes, sir. More than anything it's what I want. It's what I have always wanted." "I see. You do know that most of my customers are changed into sex-starved bimbos. Is that what you want?" "Not exactly, I just want to be female. I don't need to be pretty or sexy. I just want my mind and body to finally match." "I see. You mean, if I could just wave my hands and turn you into a woman, you'd be happy?" "Yes, that would make me happy." "What if she were fat?" "I wouldn't mind." "What if she were unattractive?" "I still wouldn't mind." "What if she were older?" "As long as she wasn't too old I would still be happy. I mean, I don't want to be 70." "Fair enough. That's an honest answer." A slight smile started to cross Ryan's face. "Sadly, though, it's not quite that easy." "But, but... the stories." Tears started to stream down Ryan's face as he stammered. "I have looked so long and so hard..." "Now, now. I didn't say I couldn't help you. I just said it wasn't going to be easy. Wait here, I'll be right back." Ryan wiped away the tears with his shirtsleeve as the Wizard disappeared into the back storeroom. A few minutes later, he re- emerged holding a white glove in his hand. "Take this glove and put it on your right hand." Ryan did as he was instructed and felt a strange, electric sensation as his fingers and hand became covered by the material. "Ah, a perfect fit. Am I good or what?" the Wizard crowed. "What will this do?" Ryan asked, still tugging at the material. "You hold in your hand incredible power. This glove will allow you to trade bodies with whatever woman you desire simply by placing your gloved hand on that person." "But, what if she yells at me or screams? I mean, I can't be walking around the mall touching strange women." "Trust me, the change will happen instantaneously. By the time the woman knows she has been touched, you will be in her body and she will be in yours." "What if she wants her body back"? "That's the beauty of my magic. In her mind, she will have always been Ryan McGill. She will probably excuse herself for bumping into you and walk away. Without the burden of your gender identity crisis, she, or I should probably say "he" will assume your life lock, stock, and barrel. Maybe even get married and become a father." "And what about me?" "You will assume her life, of course. You will live where she lives, work where she works. If she is married, then you will be married too. Remember, you are not just choosing a body to occupy, you are choosing an entirely new life for yourself. Of course, you will still retain all your old memories." "So, I will only have one chance at this?" "Yes, that is the best I can do. And I must say, you have to act quickly. The magic in that glove lasts only until closing time. So, if my clock is right, you have about 15 minutes left." "I see. Um, how much?" "So, you want to go through with this?" "Yes, very much so." "Okay, then. I think $12.99 will cover it. You see, they're having this Shrimp and Lobster special at down at the Seafood Shack and I am a little short on cash." Ryan reached into his wallet and pulled out a $20 bill and handed it to the Wizard. "Please, keep the change." "Well, that's mighty generous of you. But before you go, I need to go over a few rules." "Rules?" "Yes, just a couple. First, You cannot trade bodies with anyone under 18 years old. And you cannot change bodies with anyone who is pregnant. Other than that, everyone else is fair game. Remember the magic ends when the mall closes, which is about 10 minutes now." "Yes, I'll remember. Thank you. May I go now?" "Yes, of course. Pick a good one." The Wizard chuckled to himself as Ryan dashed out the door, leaving a tinkling bell in his wake. *** The mall wasn't very crowded, especially at this late hour, but Ryan was sure he could find a woman he would be happy to swap bodies with before time expired. The rules complicated things a little bit, though, as many of the saleswomen who worked in the stores were under 18. He figured the best place to start would be the women's clothing section of a trendy department store like Macy's or Burdines, or maybe a bookstore or restaurant. Time was ticking and he hurried through the mall, keeping his eyes peeled for any acceptable woman that might cross his path. With about seven minutes remaining, he spied a pretty blonde sipping a soda near the food court. He walked closer, cautiously examining her with every step. She was young, about 22, with full lips, a slender figure, and perky breasts. Her hair was long and lustrous, and very blonde. As he drew closer, he could smell the sweet scent of her perfume and hear her playful giggle as she chatted with a friend. But, just when he was about to pat her on the shoulder, he heard a woman scream. The sound came from behind him and he turned quickly. Had someone noticed him approaching the young woman? Maybe they thought he was about to attack her? Then she screamed again. "My purse, my purse. That man just stole my purse." Ryan looked in the distance and saw a blurry figure moving through the crowd, heading toward the exit. Instinct took over and Ryan sprinted after the thief. With his long legs, he gained with every step and soon had the man within arm's reach. With a daring leap straight out of a James Bond movie, he tackled the man to the ground. With his size and weight, Ryan quickly subdued the smaller purse-snatcher and wrestled the purse from his grip. Soon, several mall security officers, who took the man into custody, joined him. Exhausted, Ryan rose to his feet and handed the purse over to another officer. As he smoothed out his clothing, he realized his time was quickly expiring. He had to get back to the blonde, but the swirl of activity around him was too chaotic. Where was he? More importantly, where was she? Just then, he heard a voice. "Oh, thank you. Thank you." The voice sounded like the woman whose purse had been stolen. But before he could locate the actual source, he felt someone grab his hand. His right hand! The next thing Ryan knew, he was shaking hands with himself. Or, more appropriately, his former self. "I'm glad I could help," he heard his former body say. "Um, err, yes... thank you," he replied, hearing for the first time his new, softer voice. "Are you sure you're okay, ma'am?" his former body continued. "Yes, yes. Thank you." The magic glove had worked. But who was he? What did he look like? He needed to find a restroom. He turned and looked frantically, feeling the swish of long hair against his neck. "Ma'am, here's your purse." This time it was a different voice, it was one of the security guards, who handed him the purse that he had just moments ago rescued from the thief. When he reached out to take the purse, he noticed a thin, feminine hand tipped with red nails. He examined them slowly, closely, looking for any hint about how old he might be. "Ma'am, are you all right?" the security guard asked. "Do you need me to call the paramedics?" "No, no. I'm fine. Thank you." "You sure, ma'am?" "Yes, yes. Never better. Say, do you know where that man went? You know, the one who helped me?" "He left ma'am. Gave us a brief statement and headed for the parking lot. Said something about a long drive home." "Yes, a long drive..." "Ma'am?" "Oh, nothing. Nevermind. Thank you." As the security guard walked away and the commotion died down, Ryan continued his search for the restrooms. With each step, he realized how differently his life now was. At first he wobbled a bit in the heels he now wore, but grew quickly accustomed to his new stride. His breasts bounced and swayed with the exaggerated steps as he hurried for the restrooms. He felt a bit chilly and realized he was wearing a skirt. When he found the restrooms, he had to remind himself to use the ladies room. Once inside, he found a mirror and looked. The vision that stared back at him was average looking at best. With creases and crow's-feet around the eyes and lips, Ryan could tell she was older. The face wore very little makeup with only a hint of pink lipstick to accentuate somewhat thin lips. The hair was shoulder length and blonde with a slight wave and dark roots. Well, at least he was a blonde, sort of. Then he examined his body, which appeared to be on the heavy side. Not fat, but definitely plump. Reaching up with his two hands, he clutched at his breasts and guessed at their fullness. Then, he slipped his hands toward his crotch where he felt the smoothness that he had always wished for. Now, with trembling hands, he placed the purse on the sink counter and opened it. Wading through a sea of feminine paraphernalia, he searched for anything that would give him a clue as to his new identity. He pulled out cosmetics and a hairbrush, assorted perfumes and lotions. There was a package of tampons and a spare pair of pantyhose. Finally, he found the wallet. Inside he found a variety of credit cards and bankcards, all with the name Cathy Hawkins. The driver's license confirmed the name and said he was born in 1957, making him 43 years old. There were also photographs of three children. There was a girl who appeared to be in her mid-teens, a boy in his early teens, and another boy of about nine or 10. "I'm a mom," he muttered to himself, looking for further evidence of family. Earlier, he had checked his left hand and did not find a wedding ring. After sifting through several more photos, he came to the conclusion that he was probably divorced. Carefully, he tucked the photos away and closed the wallet, and then he re-filled the purse with its original contents. Only one item remained, a tube of pink lipstick. He opened it slowly, then leaned toward the mirror to apply a fresh coat to his lips. Once done, he looked at himself in the mirror, then started to cry. This time, they were tears of joy that streamed down his cheeks. Then, with a deep breath, he slung the purse over his shoulder, turned on his heel, and confidently walked out the door. And into his new life... The End!

SRU Friends are Thicker than Wishes

Here's my SRU anniversary story that I mentioned last week. I had hoped to have it ready for the October 8 anniversary, but fell a little short. Either that or I got a little longwinded ... again. This story is a little different from the others as I've written in the SRU universe in that its also a prequel of sorts to one of my non-SRU stories posted last month. It didn't start out that way, but given some of the characters I needed for this, I think it worked out better. You...

SRU Convention

Just a quick note, this is my first attempt at a transgender story. So all critism will be openly accepted. SRU: Convention by Greg Iacovelli As I walked through the mall looking for a costume to wear to the animae convention I saw the same stuff in every store window, stuff for Halloween. It was October 12, 1998 and my friend agreed to go in costume if I got it for him and he said any costume so I planned to do him over good. I still remember the conversation...

SRU: The Wicked Stepmother part 1 of 4 By Morpheus The clear sound of her high heels clicking against the hard floor was comforting to Stephanie Miller as she walked through the crowded mall, grimly intent on her purpose. The Good Samaritan

This had to be one of those days when you just know that nothing is going to go right. It was a hot and humid day. Sooner or later it was going to rain. I knew it was supposed to rain later during late afternoon or early evening, but I chose to be economically inclined anyway and ride the bus to work. Parking was a bitch. I don’t mind catching the bus unless I’m running late because for one, it cost more to park, and second you’d almost have to leave early in order to find a good parking spot....

SRU High School Reunion

This is written for the third anniversary of the SRU universe. It's a little late, but somethings can't be helped. The first story specifically designated as SRU (although I spelled it all out the first couple of posts) was posted to the TSA-TALK mailing list on October 8, 1996. At first, I wasn't sure if I would have the time to write an anniversary story. There was the crossover series with the Altered Fates universe to consider, although that project now looks dead. And I didn't...

SRU The Good Wifes Guide

SRU: The Good Wifes Guide. by Darkside --------------------------- This contains actual extracts from a Home Economics textbook printed in the early 60s. It did the rounds at work a while ago and it just begged to have a story written around it. This is my one and only sojourn into the 'Spell R Us' universe. So I hope you all like it. As an experiment, I've deliberately left much to the imagination. This is more of a covert TG story than most. At was also an experiment in that I...

SRU Too Much of a Good Thing

TG: SRU: Too Much of a Good Thing This story has been hanging around on my hard drive for years as a rough draft and I've finally got around to cleaning it up enough to be posted. I have another story which I've only just started working on that might be ready to post soon. Like this one it involves something different than the standard gender swap. I don't know when or even if Fictionmania will be back, but lets keep the community going! There are still many great fiction websites...

A Good Samaritan

I’ve always been one of those people who likes to help others. It doesn’t matter whether I know the person or not. Occasionally, I get rewarded, but not often. Just a thank you or a nice smile is enough reward for me. I don’t do it to get anything back, it just makes me feel good. This story was one of those rare occasions when I was rewarded. Rewarded beyond my wildest dreams. Of all places for this to happen, Aldi’s grocery store parking lot. Who would ever imagine that?It was a rather hot day...

Always Be a Good Samaritan

If you're not in the habit of being a Good Samaritan, and helping out when help is needed, you may wish to reconsider.Yesterday morning, finding the weather to be exceptionally nice, I decided to take a ride on my motor scooter. After donning my protective clothing & equipment, off I went - excited about the morning's ride. I hadn't gotten 3 blocks when I witnessed a young man wiping out on his bicycle. Off he flew, over the handle bars. A couple of bounces and a short sk**, and he came to...

SRU Made for Each Other

SRU: MADE FOR EACH OTHER by Roy Del Frink Leland Welker was strolling through the mall one day when he saw a strange sight. It was an old-fashioned wooden shop called "Spells R Us". He was bored, so he decided to enter on a whim. Leland couldn't believe all the junk in there, and didn't understand what he would do in a place like this. Just then he noticed a short old man behind the counter. He looked at least eighty years old, and he wore an old crimson bathrobe. He asked the...

SRU The Contract

Spells-R-Us & The Contract by Bad Irving Standard disclaimer, if under 18 do not read this tale. Actually this disclaimer is just a chance to give some credit, where credit is due. The story "The Reviewer from Hell" by Happyguy was the starting idea for the creation of this story. It is with Happyguy's permission that I take his concept and proceed with my own story. The characters in this story are not a carry over from Happyguy's tale, but, the Spells-R-Us (SRU) characters...

SRU The Retrun fo the Love Doll

SRU: The Return of the Love Doll By Ran Dandel The Riding Club of the University was one of its most exclusive organizations. It was like a non-resident fraternity. The members gathered there to meet and socialize, and to build their skills at networking. The exclusivity was guaranteed because only the wealthiest students in good standing in their respective cities' Society could become members. Members who graduated were destined to wield great power in whatever ...

SRU The Thin Line of Love

Author's Note: This story is a continuation of my previous SRU story entitled "The Love Hate Rule". If you haven't read that, it may help before you read this one, but it is not necessary. This story is pretty much free standing. I hope you enjoy it as much as it's predecessor. ----------------- SRU: The Thin Line of Love By Crunch Andrea Clark had just stepped out of the shower. It was another lost bout of trying fight off the sexual urges she felt. It...

SRU The Way of the Manga

SRU: The Way of the Manga By Melissa Virus Copyright 2000 Matt and Jason headed into the mall. Every Tuesday they went to Cedar Oaks Mall to pick up the latest issues of their favorite comics at Skanky's Comic and Video; today was especially exciting because a Class of Ninja High School video Jason had special-ordered was supposed to be coming in. Matt made fun of him. "You know that Ninja High shit's American, right? That's not real. The guy who makes it is named fuckin' Ben," he...

SRU The Pardon

A version of this story appeared on Big Closet and on Sapphire's TG Fiction List. It may be added to other free archives as long as it does not violate Bill Hart's strictures on the use of his characters or my own notice at the bottom of the story. SRU: The Pardon By Lainie Lee The shabbily dressed man hurrying through the holiday shopping crowd slipped into the first door he came to. Hal David figured it must be a side corridor into service areas of the mall where he could hide...

SRU The Shop Keeper

Author's note: I've always liked the SRU stories. This is my contribution. I hope you like it. LS SRU - The Shop Keeper By Lord Stormbringer "Damn, look at all that lost business," Tony said as he looked out of his storefront in the mall. Shoppers were bumping into each other in their hurry past his clothing store. He turned around and surveyed the few women shoppers comparing clothes. He went into the office at the back with the two-way glass window. Tom was reading a girly...

SRU The Big Mall

SRU: The Big Mall Edmonton isnt the first place you think of when you think "tourist destination" But there is one site that brings people from all over the world to see it - The Big Mall. Its real name is West Edmonton Mall, but nobody calls it that. Its always just been - The Big Mall. At one time, it was the biggest in the world, and I think its still in the top three. I'm not sure if words do it justice, but the place is ... HUGE. It has a rollercoaster, an enormous wave pool, ...

SRU: Nicely Backfired: by Donna-Allyson McCleod (my first attempt at short SRU story) It had all started a month earlier when Shirley Davis had moved into Don's neighborhood along with her older sister Valerie and their estranged mother Sherry. Don Wallace was a senior at St. Mary's Boy's High School at the time. Shirley Davis had immediately caught Don's eye on her first day at the school. Shirley was sixteen and had transferred into the adjoining St. Mary's School for Girls as a...

SRU An Error in Application

Warning: This story contains adult material. SRU: An Error in Application by Fringold Sixfingers Lyle Green had heard several rumors about the 'Spells R Us' shop in the mall. Sense he did not believe in magic, he took the stories as tells of fancy. There was one rumor he was not about to ignore. The best place to buy computer hardware was SRU. Lyle could use an upgrade to keep him competitive. Soon he was outside the shop. Not at all what he was expecting. The store looked more...

SRUAF A Wizards Altered Fate

Author's Notes by Bill Hart This was initially intended to be the second posting of the collaborative crossover set in the 'Spells R Us' and 'Altered Fates' universes written by myself and Raven. However, after finally making contact with Raven, we decided my story could be posted first, with his story becoming a prequel of sorts, instead of the lead in. Before I do anything else I would like...

SRU Hunting Season

Note: This is rather tame compared to the other SRU stories and I took a few liberties with this one. I hope that I don't piss anyone off with it. There is no sex on this one so if that is a deciding factor for you, pass this one by. Please let me know what you think of this story, whether you like or dislike it. I have other stories that I'm working on and hopefully will post in the future. This story may be posted to any sight that doesn't charge a fee. All others must get my...

SRU Pantyhose

SRU: PANTYHOSE BY PAUL G. JUTRAS "Why can't I wear clothes like that." Was the thought that often ran through Chris's mind. Chris was a pleasant twenty-two year old. Anyone who looked at him would think he was a normal boy checking out girls. What he was looking at was the clothes they had on. Clothes he wish he could have on. His mother's side of the family ran a night club and during the early evening he listened to the music and wondered what it would be like to feel silk...

SRU: Christmas Miracles Copyright (c) 1999 by Chilli TNG --------------------------------------- Notes: The Spells 'R' Us Universe was created by Bill Hart; any characters from that universe that I've borrowed are ultimately his and I thank him for opening this universe to everyone. SRU Half and Half

SRU: HALF AND HALF By Roy Del Frink A disgruntled lady walked up to the counter, holding a paper bag in her arm. "Listen here, buddy," she said to the old man behind the counter, "you sold me a potion that would turn my husband into the next thing I said. I said, 'Change my husband into a Chippendale dancer,' and look what happened!" She placed the bag on the counter, and opened it. The lady pulled out two chipmunks, dressed in tiny top hats, tuxes, and canes. One had a...

SRU Learning French

SRU: Learning French By Demonn Hi, my name is Todd or should I say was Todd. I am, was 5' 10" and maybe just a bit of a geek. I wasn't ugly mind you but I wasn't all that incredibly strong. But that didn't stop me having friends like everyone else. It was a Saturday and like always, I was going to have some fun at my friend's house. I was a simple 15 year old guy, who enjoyed some R&R, when, my high school, Rivers High, was out. I mean who didn't. When I arrived at...

SRU Lovers Knot First Draft

Some time ago, Raven and I collaborated on an SRU story called Lovers (K)Not, which is unfortunately incomplete at this time. Raven created the story idea, basic plot and the main characters, and then asked me to write a rough draft based on the information that he gave me. After I completed the rough draft, I sent it to him, where he polished it up and added quite a bit more detail as well as his own touches. Raven posted each chapter to Fictionmania after he'd finished his...
