Lord Transformtrix coalesced quietly into existence high above the
planet called Earth. Humanoid in appearance, the strange being looked
like a perfect blend midway between male and female. His/Her body seemed
to be an anthropomorphic version of the yin/yang symbol come to life.
Her top right side a right white, his lower left an inky black.
Slowly the black and white, and the male and female in the being changed as
if the yin/yang symbol it seemed to be made from was turning clockwise. As Lord
Transformtrix hovered nine miles above the middle of the Atlantic Ocean
his/her eyes looked out and saw more then mere light would reveal.
Lord Transformtrix was a being of vast age and power. It was a member of
a race of beings known as the Balancers, for untold millennia they had
journeyed though space, time and the multi-verse healing breaches that
developed in the stabilizing forces that held reality together.
Lord Transformtrix's charge was to seek out and repair significant
disparities in the force that humans called the Yin and Yang. S'he had
detected a major imbalance in the configuration of the multi-verse based
on the world that s'he now look down upon.
It seemed that this world was populated by an intelligent species called
humans, a small minority of who had abilities on a cosmic scale. Through
no fault of their own the actions of these meta-humans, who were
predominantly male and of a sub-class known as Anglo Saxon, had lead to
the dangerous imbalance in the universal Yin and Yang.
However, since this was only because of a few of the humans below, Lord
Transformtrix did not feel that too drastic or permanent a repair was
needed. Just the adjustment of a few for a mere three years would put
things to rights.
Without delay Lord Transformtrix gathered the vast power that he/she
held at her/his disposal and shifted reality on the world below.
Lord Transformtrix's changes flowed around the world like a wave, the
vast majority of the people it rolled over passed through it completely
unchanged other then to alter their memories of how things were and how
they had been to fit with the new configuration.
For a few hundred however the changes were swift and extreme. The force
that the Balancer had unleashed effected many things. Sexes, races,
nationalities and histories changed in those effected and those closely
connected to them.
To an outside observer the changes might have seemed pointless or at
least inexplicable in some cases, to the Balancer however it all made
perfect sense. In just 22 seconds the world was remade for the next
three years.
Seeing that it was done Lord Transformtrix again faded out of that
reality to go check on other world near the s'he had just change in the
multi-verse. Meanwhile on the world below the changed one's and those
close to them went on with their lives.
Central City:
The army troops and civilians attached to Fort Fox, the third largest
gold depository in America, setting just outside Central City never knew
what hit them. One second they were going about their daily business and
the next they lay on the ground in a deep sleep.
This was also the condition of everyone for ten miles around the gold
reserve. From the sky what appeared to be four flying saucers landed
outside the now unprotected vaults. Large hatches opened in the crafts
and from them came the eleven members of the Brain Gang, a criminal team
who used advanced technology to plunder the wealth of the world.
It was their devise that had placed everyone into a deep slumber.
"Gamma, Sigma." Commanded their leader Alpha, who like the other ten
wore a gray jump suit, his head and face covered by a matching gray
cowl, the only thing setting them apart from each other being the Greek
and Latin letters emblazoned on their foreheads in gold.
"Set up the photon cannon and burn us a hole. The rest of you bring out
the anti-gravity sleds, we have a major withdrawal to make."
In short order two of the gray suited men set up a strange device that
looked like a cross between an army field piece and something from an
old Buck Rogers newspaper strip. They pointed it at the side of the gold
depository and began to turn dials and flip switches.
It was not long before part of the thing started to glow a dangerous
looking crimson while a low powerful hum filled the air. At the same
time out of the open bays of the flying saucers the other members of the
Brain Gang guided four large platforms that floated a few feet above the
ground. On each of these platforms were two of the gang members, one at
the front driving it and one in the rear at a device that would be used
to levitate the tons of gold onto the platforms once the depository had
been opened.
A high-pitched beep sounded from the device the two gang members had
been working on. "The photon cannon is ready." Said Gamma.
"Excellent, configure it to melt a hole 50 meters wide." ordered Alpha.
The two once again set to work at the dials that controlled the cannon.
"Sequence ordered programmed and ready Alpha. The photon cannon will fire
in one minute starting... Now!" Said Sigma, pressing a single button that
resulted in a display screen on the devise starting a countdown starting
at 60 seconds, at the same time the tip of the cannon, which had been
glowing, began to grow into a bright crimson.
Then another shade of red appeared. This ruby hue however did not come
from anything the Brain Gang had brought with them. The color was more
of a barely seeable scarlet blur, a scarlet accompanied by a hint of
bright yellow. the color moved between the landed saucers and circled
the four slow moving grav-sleds, the cannon and their leader Alpha.
Then the cherry tinted blur took form directly in front of the photon
cannon. The eleven criminals beheld a fantastic sight, less then ten
feet in front of the cannon's glowing tip stood a woman, this however
was plainly no ordinary woman. Standing almost six feet tall the woman
was dressed from head to foot in shiny scarlet rubber, the only breaks
in this being the thigh high boots and bolt of lightning all in bright
yellow rubber appearing material.
The material, whatever it was, over her body like a second skin. And
what a body it was! Voluptuous was the only word that could describe her
form, her ample breasts putting more then a few waves into the yellow
lightning bolt imposed over a white circle that spread across them,
another bolt of lightning also circled her narrow waist just above her
plump scarlet sheathed rump.
The middle part of her face was partially covered by a red mask that
with yellow `wings? affixed over the ears. It revealed the lower part
of her face with it?s two lush scarlet lips, above her eyebrows it let
her long golden hair spill out which was done in a long braid that fell
to he middle of her back.
"You boys seem to be sticking your thing where it doesn't belong." Said
the woman.
"The Flash!" said the started Alpha. "How did you find us?
You should have been taken out of the picture by the Somnolentor!"
"Oh, I was out of town across the country, just got through meeting the
swellest bunch of girls and this one fascinatingly large green man,
we're thinking about starting a little enterprise... Anyway, I just
`dashed? back into town from that." replied the fantastic looking woman
obviously playing at being coy with the Brain Gang's leader.
"It does not matter if you are here Flash, in less than 20 seconds the
wall of Fort Fox comes down and there is nothing you can do.
We came prepared for you." Said Alpha, imminently after making that
statement he and the other members of the Brain Gang all touched the
golden letter on their cowls.
Simultaneously crackling blue auras appeared around all the members of
the gang as well as their platforms and the photon cannon. "Let's me
introduce our latest innovation." Said Alpha, a smug tone coming into
his voice. "Our equipment and ourselves are protected by a force barrier
that will destroy any outside object that tries to come closer then one
meter." Said Alpha, his smug tone turning to one of triumph.
"It doesn't matter how fast you can move, breach that barrier with ether
your hand or a thrown object and they will be disintegrated!" By the end
of that statement only 10 seconds were left on the countdown of the
cannon. As the clock showed 14 the Scarlet Speedstress seemed to almost
vanish as she used her command over speed to once again become a scarlet
and yellow blur.
Again she whipped around the members of the Brain Gang and their
machinery, though at all times she stayed at least five feet from them.
Alpha threw back his head and laughed exalting in his impeding defeat of
the new champion of Central City.
Then the photon cannon shattered like a glass trinket under a hammer's
blow. In quick succession the same fate befell the four saucers and the
hovering platforms. The men on them laying where they fell unconscious,
as were Gamma and Sigma who had collapsed behind the photon cannon.
The only one left standing was Alpha, looking around at the destruction
that the Flash had visited on his carefully laid plains he howled in
rage. "Flash! This is impossible! You'll pay for this." With that he
pulled a chrome and crystal hand gun our of a holster, it was obviously
something that shot something other then bullets.
"Damn you!" Show yourself!" Shouted Alpha waving the weapon around
trying to aim at the almost invisible blur that had somehow ended his
perfect scheme. Then once again the Flash stood still standing only 50
feet directly in front of the leader of the Brain Gang.
With an inarticulate snarl Alpha fired at the Flash, a malignant
yellow-green bolt of energy leaving the gun. And she was not there when
the bolt blasted a hole into the ground where she had been standing. He
fired again and again and each time the Flash moved to the right or left
and moved a few steps closer all at speed no human and few inhuman eyes
could follow.
Then the Flash stood only four feet from the outstretched hand of Alpha,
only 12 inches separated her from his still crackling disintegration
shield. and as his finger began to press the trigger of his gun the
Flash briefly blurred as she used her total control over the molecules
of her body.
Unseen by Alpha she jogged in place while directing those same molecules
to do her bidding and a force wave projected out from her knocking him
unconscious to the ground along with his men.
Beri Allan, the Flash had jiggled their crime careers to defeat.
