The two laughed together as the waitress served them, then they
sat for a long while sipping their coffee. Finally, Blonde spoke.
"You're different," she said.
Auburn glanced down at her lap, then back up. "Oh?"
Blonde suppressed a laugh. "No, not like that!" She shook her
head. "No, I mean, well, you weren't acting. You really were

It was Auburn's turn to hang her head. "Yeah," she admitted

Blonde nodded slowly, unsure of words. There was something

Blonde looked confused. "What happened?"
