Ana Denise Jones was the top story on the news again. And out of the
millions of people, one man turned his head, not only in the typical

on display as the breakout star in that film. However, she began a
downfall that many had taken before her, the parties became more public
and the films became more lackluster. And soon, many said Ana Jones was
simply another tragedy waiting to happen.
Andy watched the empty and dark warehouse, making rounds on every half
hour, and besides that it was just Andy and his thoughts, soul searching
and trying to figure out his next move. As the half of the hour came, Andy
began to make his rounds once more, sleepily walking down the rows, his
mind definitely somewhere else. He next heard a shuffle just out of his
visual range as he rushed down the row to find a man attempting to loot a
crate. The man looked up, startled and began to get something out of his
coat pocket. Andy without much other choice threw the flashlight at the
man's head hitting him on the right side of his head.
The man screamed out in pain as Andy quickly tried to capitalize and
wrestle whatever was in the man's pocket out of his possession. Andy
stomped on his foot, as once more the man let out a scream but he still
was struggling with Andy. Then a pop was heard and Andy immediately fell
to the ground. A bullet to the lower abdomen that seemed to just put
everything in slow motion and sap whatever strength he had just seconds
before. The warmth of his own blood against his fingers as his hands went
immediately to the wound and his assailant shot Andy Jones point blank in
the head.
However, this isn't the end of our story.
Despite the typical "everything goes black," clich?, Andy was puzzled to
hear something that sounded similar to a heart monitor. "Beep, beep, beep,
beep," as to his own astonishment Andy opened his eyes once more to a
white room with a handsome man dressed in a dark suit and a dress jacket
dangling from his arm standing in his direct line of sight.
"Ah yes, Andy James I presume?" the man said, his British accent
registering with Andy.
"What happened?" Andy said.
"Well, Andy let me start you off slow I guess, and then we can go from
there. There is a quite a bit of stuff that could be deemed as
"unbelievable," "outside of our knowledge," he paused, "bat shit crazy,"
he chuckled. "But I assure you this conversation we're having is very real
and certainly you'll find that what you have been given is very real.
Yes?"
"Okay," Andy said, "Weird but, fair enough."
"Well, Andy I'm an angel, no one else can see me here but you. Secondly,
last
night Andy James died at around 11:35 pm eastern time however, at 8:35 pm
western time Ana Jones had an incident brought on by a cocktail of several
pharmaceutical drugs and washed it down with a bottle of Brandy."
"Okay, I'm dead. So, why am I in a hospital room?"
"Well, Andy. You're Ana Denise Jones." And almost instantly, a mirror
appeared in the man's hand and Andy was staring at the reflection of a
beautiful blond woman, sleeping.
"How are we having this conversation?"
"You're asleep at this moment. But when you awake, there will be a lot of
work to be done. Seeing that Miss Jones had one too many blackouts leading
to an episode with anterograde amnesia, you'll have to learn quite a bit.
Which is good seeing that you'll have to learn how to do everything as a
female, as well as your new personal life."
"How did this happen?"
"Well, there was a sort of mix up at the office. Paperwork didn't get
submitted and," he chuckled for a moment then looked up at Andy, "sorry.
That's what happened! You people give us way too much credit."
"What happened to the original Ana?"
"Ah!" he said, smiling "ever the empathetic one! It's rather simple
really, when you're being her, she'll get to move onto Heaven. Despite her
highly publicized flaws, Ana always was someone trying to do her best,
many good deeds overshadowed by a few public missteps. Shame really. Even
the best intentions get messed up down here."
"Is there anything else I need to know?" Andy said, not really looking
forward to the hardships that lay ahead, but a second chance at life may
have been just what he needed. As well as gaining a several years of life,
seeing that Andy previously was 38 and Ana was 24.
"Well, it would probably be best to play the amnesia card, just for the
sake of you getting used to everything. Although you're previous
extracurricular activities will come in handy in the undergarment
departments. I wish you nothing but the best Andy, I'm sure you'll make a
great Ana Denise Jones. I'll pop in every so often to see how you're
doing."
"Thank you, sir."
And almost like falling, Andy was snapped back into reality his eyes
blurring as they adjusted to the harsh hospital lights. "She's awake,"
several voices buzzed as several green scrubs and still blurry faces
rushed back and forth in front of him. He continually blinked until his
eyes refocused and he was able to see the room he was now in. It was
rather standard to say the least, but nice as far as hospital rooms go. To
his right there was a large window which showed two other buildings
parallel to the one he was now in with a small gap in between the two
which revealed cars passing back and forth.
"Miss Jones?" Andy turned to find a handsome, older Doctor, his well-
meaning face framed by short and cropped salt and pepper hair. Apparently
Andy's facial expression was something that the Doctor had expected as he
extracted a pen out of his lab coat and began writing on the clipboard he
was holding in his hand.
"You are Ana Denise Jones; you had suffered an amnesiac episode brought on
by several drugs you took last night as well as your drinking history. Now
we don't know how long it'll take for you to remember things, but for now
we'll be more than happy to keep you in care for a few days, if not you're
free to go. There is no reason to think that you'll have a relapse. And
despite this episode you are still in very good health, although as
always, we caution you in terms of alcohol intake and pharmaceutical
drugs."
Andy nodded his head examining his options and choosing his words
carefully. There were pro's and con's for both situations, he could simply
hide from the outside world for a few more days, or he could dive in
headfirst and start off his new life right off the bat. He opted for the
latter.
"Thank you Doctor," he said, the new female voice quietly exiting his
larynx. "If I'm all done here, there should be no reason that I should
stay. I'm sure you'll have other patients who need your services more than
I do."
The Doctor nodded "Just remember, take it easy. Little if any alcohol
intake and only the dosage on the bottle of medications. You may not be as
lucky next time."
Andy nodded, and as the Doctor exited he began gingerly getting up. He
stood for a moment, examining the strange new weight distribution that his
body now had. His legs felt strong like pillars under him, his diaphragm
quickly inhaled and exhaled like a well-oiled machine (amazingly seeing
that a death cocktail had been ingested only a day before), the weight on
his chest had not yet begun sagging. He slowly walked to the bathroom
which was at the far side of the room, shutting the door and locking it.
To his right, a set of clothes lay on the toilet, a feminine business
suit, black high heels, a matching bra and panties set. Beyond the toilet,
there was a shower, but now he was staring at his reflection in the mirror
directly in front of him.
Andy began stripping the greenish blue hospital gown, untying it and
letting it drop slowly. The perky breasts responded to the dropping gown,
tingling for a moment, exposing the large pink nipples that sat atop the
mounds of flesh. And the neatly shaved and maintained pubic hair that made
up the vagina he now possessed. He slowly put his hands into his line of
view to see his that they were now manicured and accepted the feminine and

And then he exhaled slowly, as the reflection mimicked him. "Hi," he said,

It seemed almost unreal to him, as he began getting dressed, pulling the

bra and latching it into place. The feeling was completely different than
his previous experience, where there was nothing but disappointment there
was now two mounds of flesh being restrained and a feeling of satisfaction
and meaning that now swept over him. Even with the small struggle it was
to latch the bra into place was a signal of change. He was now able to
find himself, by being changed into someone else. The paradox was
laughable as even Andy chuckled for a moment.
He pulled up his pants, buckling them. And even this most mundane of
actions had a life affirming relevancy to it. This was one of the many
guises he could now successfully take on, he could leave the hospital now
in the attire of a business woman and if he so desired, have the

himself and further tarnish the legacy of Ana Denise Jones in that way, he
was now able to make that judgment. As he buttoned the white collared
shirt and put on the dress jacket, pausing for a moment to sit down and
put the high heels on. His reflection revealed a beautiful, although he
did not have make up on and his blond hair had been recently cut to ear
length.
He exited the restroom, and before he could exit his hospital room a
muscular male nurse entered the room with a wheelchair in tow.
"Ma'am, its hospital policy to have any outgoing patients to be escorted
by a nurse and be pushed in a wheelchair." Andy was a little relieved that
he did not have to deal with high heels and that balancing act for the
moment.
"Thank you, I just need to get my stuff," he said turning to the small
cubby shelf which had several compartments, probably depending on how much
stuff that a particular patient has. All other "cubby holes," were empty
save for one that contained a plain looking purse. He grabbed it, taking a
moment to check for identification, just in case there was a mix up. And
sure enough, it belonged to one Ana Denise Jones.
As he was wheeled out, several windows down the corridors he went down
revealed glimpses of a sunny day. But it wasn't until he was wheeled out
the front of the hospital that the beauty of the first day of the rest of
his life had hit him. Blue skies and sunshine only added to the mood as
the hustle and bustle of the comings and goings of a hospital lay at the
entrance.
He thanked the Nurse, and hailed a taxi having checked the address on his
ID, which he could only guess was his new home or at least a good place to
start. The taxi driver took a moment to recognize that Ana Denise Jones
was riding in his cab, smiling and sharing a story of how he and his wife
had seen "Are you lonesome tonight," on their first date. Andy was
flattered, smiling although it felt awkward to be taking credit for the
work that someone else had done. After a few more minutes of small talk
mixed in with silences due to Andy's visual exploration of the area.
They stopped at a large gated complex, but was not what Andy had expected.
He gingerly exited the vehicle, tipping the cabbie and trying not to slip
and fall on his first day in high heels. He turned and checked his purse
once more, finding a small slip of paper with a code on it. He approached
the gate to find a small panel which contained numbers which he used to
punch in the code he had found.
He walked into find an immediately breathtaking view of the coast and a
small cobblestone path leading through a several shady trees. He had not
seen a house yet, so he gingerly followed the path losing his view of the
shoreline. After walking a short distance, the shoreline was visible once
more along with a small house that was styled as a cabin further to his
right. The view was still breathtaking, showing that the property was on a
cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Taking off the heels that had now
begun hurting his feet in the manicured, wet grass that surrounded the
cabin as the softness it was comparable to that of a carpet.
He walked up to the house, looking through his purse and finding a small
key that he immediately put into the deadbolt lock and turned the door
knob just above it. He pushed the door open to find a small, but cozy home
in front of him. There was a small wooden staircase to his left, a living
room to his right complete with a typical couch and HDTV television set,
then through the back there was a large window looking into the trees
behind the house. He shut the door behind him and walked past the living
room area to find that the kitchen area was there as well, complete with a
fridge and typical appliances, a small table with two chairs situated in
front of the window with the forest view.
He walked back to the living room, setting down his things and breathing
in the wooden smell of the house, feeling the soft wood on his bare feet.
"Well, here I am." He said to an empty house, allowing the female voice
that was now his to echo and decay through his new house.
"Ah! I see you are adjusting well!"
Andy turned to see the angel who had spoken to him when he was still
asleep.
"Ah, ah, ah. Get your gender pronouns right, my dear. I know it'll be
awkward and all, but the more you refer to yourself as a man and by your
previous name, it'll be harder for you to adjust. Just a heads up."
"I'll keep that in mind," as Ana walked up the stairs, continuing her
exploration of her new home. There was a large bed and a small hallway
leading away from it at the far side of the room. At the head of the bed
there were several small windows, the small hallway contained a small
bathroom and across from it a closet.
"What do you think of the accommodations," the angel said, smiling and
seated on the bed.
"I can't thank you enough," Ana said, gratefully. Not only was she given a
second chance at life, but her second chance was better than her first
chance.
When Ana turned back around to continue the conversation, the angel had
vanished leaving her alone to undertake the first night of her new life.
That night was interesting to say the least, as the sun began to hang far
behind the trees Ana felt nature calling and after pulling down her pants
and panties she felt relief as she heard the dripping into the toilet. She
wiped and walked over to the parallel door, pulling out a black nightgown
and hanging it on the bathroom door. She then stripped off his pants and
unbuttoned her shirt hanging them back up in the closet. She then
reentered the restroom, unhooking her bra and stepping out of her panties.
Her first shower was unlike anything she had previously encountered. Her
body began to relax. Her tense muscles began to loosen, and the stress of
having to assume the life of someone she had never met before began
melting away. The steam from the hot shower and the pitter patter rhythm
of the warm drops as they careened off her skin. She shampooed her hair,
washed her body in a body wash that had been on hand, taking extra care
and noting the sensitivity of her nipples. As she finished her shower and
dried off, she felt truly at ease for the first time today.
After she slipped into the black, lacy nightgown and brushed her teeth she
sat in the dark, laying in her bed wondering how the second day of the
rest of her life would go. Smiling, she couldn't wait to see how it would
go.
Ana awoke to the sound of a phone ringing and for a moment she forget
everything that had transpired the day before, then quickly recovered,
eventually tracing the ringing phone to her purse and took it out.
"Hello?"
"Ana baby! How is my favorite client?" The other voice on the line seemed
to jump out of the phone and bounce off the walls for a moment. She
stopped for a moment, checking the contact and sure enough it said "Danny
Marx- Manager," on the recent calls. Danny Marx was a well-known manager,
and his history with Ana Denise Jones was something of a symbiotic one.
Marx not only acted as a manager, but a lawyer, designated driver, etc.
The only thing that Marx wanted was to get his face out there in hopes of
expanding his clientele. Which was fine, seeing that he was pretty good at
being a utility man.
"I'm doing fine Danny," and before Ana could add another word the voice
jumped out of the phone once more.
"Ana darling! I have a huge, Huge, HUGE, role for you. It's more dramatic
that you typically go for certainly. But this may be the thing to rebound
your career girl! It'll be a gamble, but what do we have to lose? What do
you think?"
Ana took a second to digest the offer that had just been presented to her.
It already sounded difficult, but the reward could be worth it. Not only
could the new Ana Denise Jones turn her life around personally, but career
wise as well.
"Sounds good to me, Danny. Send me a script?"
"Sure thing doll! Take care of yourself, bye!"
He hung up in the same energy that his voice had during the whole
conversation, leaving Ana to get dressed and figure out her day.
