As we walked back into the hall I felt giddy and confused and happy and

Seeing Chloe get angry had given me a slight reprieve though and I began
to struggle.

Chloe was in the middle of arguing but something happened and it just
seemed to end. She noticed Kaylee struggling against Annabell and yelling

and he smiled as he hugged her.

"one more thing." He pulled a corsage from a box and slid it around her
wrist.
"I don't need to know where you are or what you do, but as a precaution,
inside the corsage is a chip that will tell me if you're in danger. If
anything happens, just crush the corsage and it will let me know exactly
where you are." She nodded an understanding and then the doorbell rang.
He got up to answer it and standing behind the door was a taller man,
built around the shoulders, hair greased back and dressed in a tan pair
of pants and a plaid button up. He introduced himself as hank and Tobias
handed his sister over to him. He watched as she got into his truck and
he closed the door behind her and drove off. Tobias opened his laptop and
pulled some of the files that he was working on from work. He wanted to
try to catch up on what he missed that day and everything was on loose
deadlines anyways. Three or four hours passed and Tobias got the worst
news he could get. His laptop shut down what he was doing and instead a
map appeared with a blinking blip. His heart stopped but only for a
second as he grabbed his phone and keys. He called Tessa first and when
he got no response he called the police. He was at the site first and ran

"No..." He didn't have to get close to know it was her. He could see her

went catatonic and barely noticed when the police arrived. They took him

the door open. Several surprised faces turned her way, and Kaylee was on
the floor at the base of a man, about to do something she'd never be able
to take back. People lunged at Chloe, but despite her now feminine shape,

people aside. Annabell stood in her way and began to speak but was met
with Chloe ' s fist and went down in a heep. Kaylee had a distant look on
her face and when Chloe touched her, she went limp. She scooped her in
her arms and carried her back to their room. She shut the door behind
them and despite the protesting of the automatic voice, layed her down on
the bed and sat beside her. She brushed her hand through Kaylee ' s long
hair.
"It's okay Tess, Noone will ever hurt you again."
