It was nearly dinner time and Corra and Sheba were nowhere to be found.
Then I saw her digital photo album, open to the Cemetery and Becca's
grave.
"Malissa you know where she is?" asked Donnie and Sophie together.
"Yes, I'm going to get her," I said. You stay here in case she jumps
home."
In my haste I ignored the television news trucks, as I guided the Bitch
past them and the police cars at the main entrance. I knew where I was
headed and went around to a back entrance that was closer.
As I pulled to a stop I stepped out, then began to hurry towards her
where she sat atop her Aunt Becca's grave. Sheba digging small holes as
she planted little flowers outlining the grave itself. Then twenty feet
away a police man stepped out from behind a tree and grabbed my arm
causing me gasp in shock.
I didn't even have a chance to scream before Sheba bore him to the
ground, her jaws closed around his throat ready to do more.
"Sheba! No!" I yelled and reached for her, then twisted away in pain.
Then I heard the pain filled Yowl Whoop as Sheba rolled away, struggling
to rise even as Corra jumped to her.
"Hold your," the order was drowned out by Dozens of Echoing Yowl Whoops
as the cemetery was suddenly filled with adult Gambichow's and their
bond mates.
"Oh shit," muttered an officer as he was chambering another round into
his rifle.
"You hurted my Sheba," cried Corra as her hand shot out toward him and
he disappeared.
"Anyone harms another Gambichow and they will be released to hunt," said
the most prominent bond mate, Kasha the Queen of Demonia.
Now she turned back to Corra, kneeling in the grass she petted Sheba.
"It's just a graze little one. She will be fine in a few hours."
Mistress Gwendolyn was busy looking at my upper arm.
"Corra where did you send him? Can you bring him back please?" asked
Kasha. "He won't hurt anyone else I promise."
Corra made a motion with her hand and suddenly the officer was laying
there prone, his hands raised up to shield his face. But it was the
figure that stood over him that had the most attention.
It was easily the largest Gambichow I'd ever seen, twice the size of the
other adults. And it was a 'Male', his hide covered in battle scars half
his left ear missing his saliva drooling over the fear paralyzed
officer.
Slowly he turned his head taking in everything around him. Then he
settled on Corra holding onto Sheba. Unafraid of anything around him he
slowly made his way to us, dipping his nose to nuzzle Sheba first then
Corra. Our eyes locked as he stepped towards me, our noses touching
before he threw his head back. "Whoop, Whoop, Whoop,
Yowwwwwwllllllllllllllll."
It was echoed by at least three others.
"Thank you," said Corra as she patted his neck. He licked her face then
Sheba's wound before slowly turned toward the nearest group. Dezzi,
Sadie and one I hadn't seen before all lowered their heads in submission
before he snapped his jaws together and disappeared.
"Oh my gods," someone gasped. Then I realized those three were no longer
there.
Everyone was still in shock at seeing an actual 'Male' Gambichow, and
the fact he took three females with him.
"Malissa, I am happy they are going to be safe, but we need to go," said
Kasha.
"Go? Go where? What's happening?" I asked in confusion.
"He has chosen three mates," said Kasha. "We must go to Halcion." She
was quickly joined by Tyrea and the other bond mate.
"They will be fine, they just need to be close by," assured Mistress
Gwendolyn. Then she grinned at Corra. "Why did you send that one," she
motioned to the police officer still too shaken to stand, "To Halcion?"
"He hurted Sheba and my Mommy." "Grumbles maked him scared now too."
"No doubt, but how did you find Grumbles? No one has ever seen him
before today?" she asked curiously.
"He Sheba's Grampa. She send him there."
"Yes but you helped her," I pointed out. Sheba was now back on her feet,
limping but healing quickly. I only wished that my arm would heal as
quick. And even though it hurt like hell it was nothing compared to pain
that I had felt in the past.

Then Donnie and the rest of the family was there, even Tizzy.
"Malissa, Corra, you're safe. Sheba," he stopped seeing the rapidly
healing bullet graze on Sheba's shoulder. Then he spotted the bandage on
my arm. "Who is the asshole who shot my wife and my daughters bond
mate?" he demanded.
"Donnie, it's already been dealt with," I said.
"Just how the hell has it been dealt with? I haven't ripped anyone's
head off yet."
"Donnie, the Gambichow's and Corra dealt with it," reasoned Mistress
Gwendolyn.
"Malissa, must you always get shot?" asked Momma.
"Oww," I complained as Daddy hugged me before handing me off to Daddy
Vincent.
It took a bit to get him wound down enough to return home to finish the
family dinner.
But later that night I asked him, "Do you remember when we were trying
to figure out what creatures made up the wild Gambichow's?"
"Yes,"
"You were right about the Water Dragon," I said.
"What do you mean?" he was curious now.
"When Sheba called for help, one of the wild ones came from Demonia
Three." He was looking at me for more information, "Sheba's grandfather,
Grumbles."
"You're crazy," scoffed Sophie. "There aren't any Male Gambichow's."
"Bonded Chows live as long as their bond mate. No one knows how long
they live in the wild," I pointed out. "And the one we saw tonight was
easily twice the size of any we've ever seen before."
"Love seeing a Male Chow wouldn't shake you up this much," he finally
said. "And I know you're still freaked out by something."
"Donnie, Corra isn't 'Just' a Phase Jumper," I bit my lip trying to find
the right words. "I saw her send the cop who shot me and Sheba to
Demonia Three. She just pushed her hand toward him and twisted her
fingers, and he was gone. She'd have left him there if Gwendolyn hadn't
asked her to bring him back."
"You're talking about 'Pushing and Pulling'," he said.
"She's a Sender?"
"Yes, that's what she did," I was kind of scared now. What if she got
mad at someone, one of her siblings or, or anyone?
"Well every sender I ever heard about was a jumper as well. But where
did she ever see Halcion, or that Male Chow?" he reasoned.
"She got it from Precious, she had to," said Sophie. Looking at me now
she said, "Malissa you have to start working with her to control it. We
all do."
I knew she was right. I shuddered to think of what could happen if she
got really mad at one of her siblings.
